I've used Omar for a couple of things and been very happy with his service. He's great about communicating, which not all lawyers are. His fees are reasonable, given the cost of legal issues these days. He gives things to you straight, but lets you make your own decision after laying out all the facts. I like his common sense approach. His ego doesn't get in the way. I like his ethics. I like his honesty. I've recommended him to my friends. He's got a grasp of what ordinary people are up against, instead of being insulated from the real world.

I was looking for an attorney and overheard someone mention his name. I asked for references and found out very quickly that Barnett wins, and he wins a lot. He met with me and my mother and explained the entire process to us. I have no experience with Barnett outside what I witnessed during my fathers trial in which he was accused of very haineous allegations. While watching Barnett in the court room, I knew without a shadow of a doubt that he was dedicated to justice and would stop at nothing to see it served. His presence in the court room is very strong and he conducts himself with the utmost respect for the courts. On a personal level, Barnett has a great sense of humor and has a way of making his clients and their family feel confident and comfortable through such an emotionally draining time. Guillermo and his team helped me fight a psychopath with a history of litigiousness. The psycho who sued me had sued more than 8 people in the past 4 years and with Guillermo's help we shut him down. He won't be using lawsuits to extort money from anyone else. While I paid a hefty price, it was worth it to prevent a lot of other people from falling prey to the plaintiff. I'd gladly stand shoulder to shoulder with Guillermo and team again. They were upbeat, diligent, and supportive as we went through the entire legal process from filing to judgment.

With nothing illegal in my background of fifty (50) years and a sudden case making no progress, Eric Jensen was the only attorney to answer my plea. I wanted someone out of my county, did not know him but we met at his office on Sunday afternoon. It had been seven (7) horrible months since I had gotten a Class A Misdemeanor. An additional charge, not included in the arrest had been added six (6) months later. Meeting with Eric on Sunday afternoon put us in the adjoining county court that next morning and the matters were settled due to his exceptional ability to present. Mr. Jensen also represented me in a divorce case two years later where I was the defendant. Representing me for what appeared to be a rather simple divorce, the matter turned in to a complicated case that included division of several companies. Mr. Jensen immediately secured a monthly maintenance fee for my living expenses and again voluntarily traveled to a neighboring county for the hearings. The demeanor displayed was always one of professionalism, preparedness and presented in a manner so factual that opposing attorneys, while displeased to be incorrect, had no choice but to agree with Mr. Jensen. At times he had to deliver information to me that was not pleasant, but he and his lovely Madeline made those few times less stressful, offering the issue succinctly followed by several suggestions to be considered for conclusion on the particular matter.
Always prepared, always timely, available to me at times out of the ordinary and exhibiting confidence at every appearance no matter the county or opposing attorney, Mr. Jensen and his representation for me made times that could have been very despairing in to times of experiencing gains in my personal strength and reassurance of valuable coping skills which one sometimes loses when faced with such complex legal matters. All in all I do not think there is a better team to handle any legal matter thank Mr. Jensen and Madeline. The professionalism, knowledge, assurance and ability to convey comfort to the client along with a record of winning cases are traits everyone wants in their attorney. Eric Jensen possesses and has displayed them all.

Christopher worked with me on a business contract breach where the customer owed my company significant money. Engaging in legal action was daunting as my company is a small boutique size firm, up against a large public company. Litigation costs for them would have been a drop in the bucket, but for my company, it would have been monumental. I brought the case because the contract was clear on the terms and conditions. What gave me confidence and conviction was Christopher Reed's experience and capabilities as an attorney. He is highly recommended for the following reasons:
-Out of the gate, professional and interested in my case.
-He listened and has the business savvy to connect the dots of the issue quickly. He made sure he communicated the issue back so we were in sync. He let me know what type of data he needed in support of my position, and we tackled more evidence as the issue was pulled into different directions. I felt it was an efficient and organized process—money well spent.
-Professional and timely in all of his communications, even to let me know, there's a delay from the opposing counsel. I was never left on hold wondering what the next action item was or who owned it. When they were stonewalling, he showed appropriate assertiveness to get them to want to engage but always unwavering in his ethics. Christopher had my full confidence.
-He was strategic with me in discussing the negotiation, and had great execution in presenting our position and arguments to opposing counsel. He answered my questions swiftly and helped me understand their arguments and how we could overcome their position.
-Christopher has excellent intuition, interpersonal, legal and negotiating skills. If x language in the agreement didn't work for the opposing side, he had another workaround to achieve our goal in the language. His writing skills are impressive.
-I believe his ability to be firm yet fair, and knowledgeable of my contract and the law, was vital in achieving not only their attention and engagement, but a 90% payment on the total due! (Yeah!) He far exceeded my initial expectation which was to be largely ignored by this public company. I fully expected they’d draw it out so I incurred significant legal expenses and gave up. I was going to be content with half of the total amount they owed.
I highly recommend Christopher Reed. He’s an excellent attorney. He loves the legal field, problem solving, writing, negotiating and helping me navigate the laws without getting too deep into the weeds. He doesn't waste your time, he presents options and pros/cons. He tells you the honest facts. He’ll fight for you. He guided and taught me so I was understanding both the process, our strategy and application of the law.
I have to believe the East Coast big city opposing attorney was (secretly) equally impressed with Christopher. The arguments he presented gave the opposing counsel strong data to take back to his customer that compelled them to settle substantially higher than the puny settlement they originally proposed.
I not only highly recommend Christopher but will use him again in the future to create business contracts, and also if a situation/issue arises where I need legal counsel.

I recently faced a daunting array of charges, including Assault & Battery on a Family/Household Member, Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying a Firearm Without a License, and Improper Storage of a Firearm. With mandatory minimum incarceration looming, my freedom hung in the balance.

My name is Jacques Delacroix. I am a retired professor of Management. I live in Santa Cruz, California with my wife, Krishna Delacroix who is an artist. Recently, we went to John D. Laughton, A Professional Law Corporation in Monterey, California for help to deal with the complex and forbidding business of making end-of-life legal preparations. We dealt entirely with Brandie Luis Esq. ,and with the pleasant office staff person (whose name escapes me right now because, well, I am writing a will am I not?)
Ms. Luis deployed incomparable patience and perseverance in dealing with our passivity (and perhaps, with our unconscious resistance). She guided us skillfully through the meanders of legal dispositions we did not even suspected to exist. As a result of her quiet efforts, my wife and I now think that we have done all the right things with respect to our offspring and with respect to the world at large. We believe that thanks to Ms Luis, our passing will not trouble much the peace of those we leave behind. We even think we will leave behind us a slight wake of benevolence. Those are satisfying and probably rare feelings.
Ms Luis ' disposition is so conscientious and so kind that once, she ever made a house call to us! (I hasten to add that this may not be a service the firm offer routinely and to all is customers. We may well have received favored treatment, on his occasion though I am sure we did nothing to deserve it.)
Obviously neither I nor my wife have any previous experience with this kind of endeavor. However, we suspect we stand more on the side of clients from Hell than on the side of angelic clients.
