When I was initially arrested for a DWI I was a first time offender and did not know the full extent of what fighting it in court would mean. Kyle was patient and walked me through the entire process. He made himself available to me even on weekends to answer questions and help reduce my anxiety. Ultimately, it took almost two years to resolve my DWI and Kyle was there every step of the way. I was offered many plea deals because I was a first time offender with a low BAC level and each deal seemed good, however, Kyle never pressured me to accept anything I did not feel 100% confident with. In the end he ended up getting my case dismissed. Over the two years that I worked with him he showed nothing but professionalism and empathy, I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Kyle represented me for a Class A assault case. It was my first time having trouble with the law and I was very unaware of the legal process. I figured common sense justice would be applied by prosecutors but I found that is not necessarily the case. I found that a lot of the prosecutors are only interested in winning and advancing their career. Basically once you are charged, you need someone fighting for you to prove your innocence or take some sort of plea. Kyle did a fantastic job fighting for me. He is very knowledgeable about the law and has a lot of tools in his kit to help prove your innocence. Kyle fought for me and refused to be pressured into bad plea deals. We eventually went to trial, which ended in a mistrial and an eventual dismissal. I highly recommend Kyle and his team to fight your case.

Assisted in a Public Intoxication case. Asked me what I wanted and said he would do everything to realistically obtain that result and did. Matt chapel defended our son on a criminal case. Mr. Gore represented my 18 year old daughter on reckless driving and speeding citations (90 in a 70 MPH zone). We live out of state but Mr. Gore and his paralegal Zilla were absolutely a pleasure to work with. They were patient and prompt in their responses to my many questions. Mr. Gore was even able to appear for my daughter as this was a mandatory court appearance citation. In the end, Mr. Gore was able to get the reckless driving citation dismissed and the speeding reduced to improper equipment. If you are facing a divorce you are in good hands with HHG and Dzenana Delic. Susan did the Initial consultation and gave me great advice on the beginning, when my ex tried to take the kids. And how to fight a sole custody attempt. Then Dzenana Delic took over my case and I cannot really express how good of a job she did.
She told me the truth and what would happen and what I needed to do.
It was a long case that was conflict laden to say the least. When it came time to negotiate and settle the case is when I realized how great of a decision I made and how great Dzenana was at her job. Hands down Susan Hais and Caitlin Keene are some of the best Divorce attorneys in St Louis. After going through 3 other attorneys in Jefferson Co and getting the shaft from all of them, my case was a complete joke. I found Susan Hais, she took the case and felt I was clearly not being represented correctly. As you can expect I was about ready to just quit and give up, since being honest and truthful does not seem to get you anywhere these days in court. Susan stepped in and told me what to expect and the real costs worse case, to prove everything to go to trial. I did not want to spend anymore but understood. The first court date with Susan the other Attorney pretty much gave up and settled the case finally, I was amazed how worried and nervous he was, I am not sure what The two amazing Attorneys did to the opposing counsel in the Judges chambers, but it felt good to finally see a day in court going right for a man. During the whole remainder of the case Susan and Caitlin were always understanding of keeping their time time and billed fairly, they really worked for me and got it done. If you are looking for an attorney for family law matters Matthew Hunt is the best money can buy. I initially hired Mr. Hunt after I fired another attorney who took my money, did not bother to file divorce paperwork, and would not return my calls or emails. Mr. Hunt did more in the first day of hiring him than the other attorney did in months. It was like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders knowing I now had an attorney I could trust. He was able to reverse the damage that resulted from my previous attorneys’ poor representation. I have been to multiple hearings, mediations, and a deposition with Mr. Hunt. Mr. Hunt’s preparedness was apparent during each of these instances. Matt personally handled my divorce which involved me dealing with custody of my children and paying of alimony, he also helped navigate me as I was a business owner. I was very firm with Mr. Hunt on what I wanted and he over delivered on every aspect. I get my kids more than I thought I would, I pay less than was estimated, and it was all handled on one day. Great and smart attorney. He will fight hard for your case. If there is any small error in your report or procedure he will find it. After a year of fighting my case he got it thrown out. 99% of attorney's take your money and it will be VERY HARD to get a hold of them. After having had unpleasant consults with other lawyers who couldn't seem to wrap their heads around the idea that two women might be married and getting a divorce, it was important to me to find a lawyer who understood the queer community and London was that lawyer. She handled my divorce case and was indispensable in helping me get my kids back after my ex absconded with them and filed a baseless restraining order to prevent me from seeing them for more than a few hours a month under close supervision. She skillfully litigated the restraining order matter, even getting my ex to testify that she had no actual concerns about me that would warrant the order's restrictions. We were able to get a 50/50 parenting plan agreed to within a couple days of a judge dismissing the entire restraining order. As my ex continued to throw up roadblocks to avoid the even split we'd talked about, London was able to handle all of them
and her priority was always ensuring equity and the wellbeing of my kids rather than resorting to petty tactics or advising that we respond to my ex's roadblocks with escalation. We were able to settle and avoid going to trial, but I know that if we had ended up going to trial, I would have been in good hands.

From my initial phone conference with London through the whole daunting divorce process, I felt heard and supported. London told me more than once that she was my advocate, and she followed through with that. She supported me in my decisions after presenting all legal angles and possible outcomes. She wanted the best for me. When I was in doubt about various issues, London was able to see through the muddle and had a positive outlook on my overall outcome. She always made me feel like I was her only client.
When it came to mediation, London chose a very fair and balanced mediator who explained that not everything would go my way (or my ex-spouses way). The quote above is one I wish had come to mind before retaining the first attorney in my criminal case. It is never a good decision to make a decision from anxiety and fear of unfamiliar circumstances.
What prepares a person without a criminal record to take the next step in the judicial process after bonding out of jail? Nothing.
Living an honest life for 60 years means little when falsely accused of domestic violence. Watching as mandatory arrest and no-drop prosecution policies implemented to protect victims of domestic abuse were skillfully exploited and manipulated by the mother of my son's young child was staggering.
The hurried decision after being released from the mandatory Metro Jail 12-hour hold to pay legal retainer fee was a novice's mistake. Choosing from a list of private counsel found in the reception area of the Public Defender's Office without researching experience and case results almost jeopardized my rights and freedom. Unlike my accuser, there was no army of advocates waiting to guide me through the process.
Thankfully, I was able to find Mr. Horst's website in my online search for highly-rated experienced criminal trial attorneys. After watching Mr. Horst's video “My Client My Fight”, I knew he was the person for my defense.
The most repeated characteristics of successful criminal defense attorneys mentioned in articles I read online were:
Credibility, Communication Skills, Knowledge, Confidence, Civility, Personal Involvement and Courtroom Demeanor and my addition to the list - Backbone. Mr. Horst possesses them all in spades.
From the beginning, my decision to have the case bound over to Criminal Court was non-negotiable. Many people said to me, "Why not just accept the General Sessions hallway offer of judicial diversion, conviction, 16 week offender program and no jail time just to be done with the stress?"
Mr. Horst said me, "Why?"
Words cannot describe the feeling of waking up the morning after my case was retired. For the first time in almost a year the anxiety and thoughts of an emotional trial were gone.
I am very grateful for Mr. Horst's endless patience, understanding and guidance during the judicial process.

Shumika is an amazing attorney. She is not out to do anyone dirty or lie about anything. She was very honest with me and I was with her. I was blessed to work with attorney/judge Barber, his wife Patti and Darla. I gained a remarkable respect for both the professionalism and humanitarianism practiced in this firm. Originally I started with a lawyer where when we showed up to the first court appearance the Judge shut us out didn’t let that attorney speak, and didn’t want to hear anything she had to say! Going through a custody battle can be confusing, exhausting and stressful. Especially, when you find out two months to trial the other side retained an attorney.
I decided it would be best to seek some form of counsel. I was referred to Mr. Tsakataras through another attorney. I immediately called because I had been praying for guidance, and this attorney gave him a stellar recommendation. I did my own research while awaiting the consultation meeting. His reputation was incredible! He has EXTENSIVE experience in custody matters. He has state / federal contracts in the family court system. This man has earned the respect; and you only do that by working hard! So, everything in me said “THIS, is exactly WHO you need to talk to!”
Fast forward to the Monday we were meeting, we ended up rescheduling because an emergency hearing was the following day he had to prepare for. I was timely notified by Steven (his paralegal) and informed of what was going on. How could I even be upset? That’s the type of person you WANT on your team. Somebody who is DEDICATED to your case and will FIGHT to see the best outcome.
Finally, it’s the day of the consult, he called me in a timely fashion; and he let me know how the process works; 50 minutes, i had already sent all my documentation to him- so even though it was via phone; it was as if I was in the office.
He told me the retainer fees, and asked me if I wanted to be prepared, OR, if I would be able to pay the fee. I opted for preparation as trial is set for next month and the fees as a result was going to be very high.
During this consultation, he outlined in details which factors are the factors I should be focused on, how to highlight them, how to present them to court. He gave me valuable information that you really can’t put a price tag on. Once the 50 minutes was up, he did not rush to get off the phone. He made sure I was able to take very detailed notes, giving me dates, telling me how to get things admitted into court and before the judge.
I feel very confident in my case, however, he has made my confidence level boost while fright of the attorney has diminished.
I 110% recommend this attorney and I am so glad I had the opportunity to speak with him. It’s evident that he cares a lot more about the people he HELPS than he does about the money; I can only pray he continues to have great success in all paths of his life and continues to be blessed.

I had a reckless driving ticket with some other DUI complications. I found Byron on Yelp. He was quick to respond to my request for help. He gave me some idea of what to expect and the potential results. He knew his stuff. They were scary but not guaranteed. I didn't like the idea of going to jail for six months and that was looming over my head. He was able to get the charges and fines reduced and keep me out of jail. The Law Firm of Russell Depersia, LLC was recommended to me by a good friend and it has served to be the best recommendation I have ever had. I was expecting the worst outcome and actually got the best outcome. Mr. Depersia and his staff were always courteous and professional. They always responded to my inquiries promptly and I never had to wonder what was going on with my case as they always kept me up to date with new developments. Mr. Depersia was always up front with me even though he sometimes underestimated his own abilities. From my side of things, he seems very connected to the legal system and the individuals in it. There really is no words to explain what an exceptional lawyer Dan is. Little history on my story/experience with Dan; I was dealing with a case with a different lawyer that did an awful job. I then came into probation violation and it was a very complicated case where I had technically 4 violations. A warrant was set out for me. I was allowed to move to another state for school and the court was going to take me back to Illinois. It seemed truly like a case that NO WAY I could win. But then Dan did his thing. Dan not only was able to SQUASH my no bond warrant, he was able to let me stay in the state I reside in currently AND got me off of probation and under supervision instead! I have no clue how he was able to do so much but he made it work. And having dealt with a bad lawyer I really know the difference between a good and bad one. When we deal with court it’s scary. You want a lawyer that will respond fast, give their all to defend you and try to get the best outcome possible, and one that gives you RESPECT. Dan did all of these things and I can’t thank him enough. If I had to return to Illinois I would have lost my school, apartment, job and I would most likely have been living out of a car and really losing all the goods I have in my life out here in the state I reside in. Brian, IMO is an outstanding lawyer. Picking a lawyer your first time is like playing roulette. I happened to win when I found him. I used him for a possession charge, while the case didn't get dropped our dismissed because it was virtually impossible he to have me in a program to have them dismissed within two weeks. He personally delivered my paperwork and did what it normally takes 6 months to do. I'm so pleased that I'm now using him for the expungement process.
