Ned has been my entertainment lawyer now for over a year. He is personable, easy to talk to and get a hold of and he’s amazing with his clients. He is constantly reviewing new songs I send him. Submitting to labels and so fourth. Just recently he reviewed a contract for me and helped to make sure everything was in order. I know have 3 of my songs in the running for Netflix series in 2019. Ned was also able to hook me up with other songwriters while in LA for projects. He is the lawyer that is hands on. I look at Ned as a friend and my awesome entertainment lawyer. His rates are reasonable and he’s just someone you want in your corner. I am a super happy client. He is still working on getting my music out there. Right now I have over 400k streams on Spotify.

It's not a day go by that I don't think of Tae D. He became part of our family. I was told my case would be very hard to win and that we should get a court appointed attorney. My husband came to this country to work and provide for our family here and abroad but one night our lives changed forever. He was accursed of sexual assault on the job. I was scared and lost. My husband went to jail for the first time in his life. I called around to friends for advice and this name kept coming up...Tae Darnell. I called and that's when the magic started to happen. Tae got My husband out of jail, he gave us the name of his private investigator, we met constantly and he even brought on 2 more attorneys. This was a hard case, she was white he was black-African and we were in an all white area...I seriously just wanted to give up. But not Tae, he say said trust me...my team and I will get you guys out of this horrible mess. And he they did. The truth came out. She wanted money from the company we worked for. But we won!!! and the she ended up having to pay us $250,000. We haven't seen the money but we have our life back. Honestly if it wasn't for Tae D I would not have gotten my life back.

I met Michael first in 2012 while prepping a film we were shooting in Denver. At first he was kind enough to volunteer his time to help us get a tax rebate, which he successfully did. A few days prior to principal photography we ran into trouble with one of the financiers, which threatened to collapse the financing. Mike is a true professional! I hired him to oversee all my personal and business legal matters. He is thorough, knowledgable, reliable and easy to work with. I always felt he had my best interests in mind and trusted his advice. Though he handled several of my business contracts, one that specifically comes to mind was a client who kept changing his mind and adding or subtracting negotiation points. I was getting extremely confused and frustrated. Mike was able to calm me down and help see the negotiation process through to final contract. I cannot recommend Nathan highly enough. Although I had what was likely an easy solve from his point of view, for me it was a real contract conundrum. Nathan was clear, quick to respond and incredibly helpful. I felt totally attended to, even though I had a one off problem. I highly recommend Josh for IP projects. We worked together on a collaboration agreement, a nondisclosure, and a US trademark registration. All of his work was excellent. Working with Josh versus a big firm was particularly enjoyable. He responded quickly and it was always easy to get in touch with him directly. Also, I believe that he has been able to keep his fees very reasonable because he does not have the fancy office space or big staff of a large firm.

My company is a startup, digital platform working with a variety of content creators, producers and talent across music and entertainment. We were in need of a new lawyer after working with one for 6 months, who we did not have a great experience with. Jeff came highly recommended, but I was skeptical and cautious given my previous experience with the past lawyer. Our initial meeting was great, with all the typical "getting to know you" and learning about how he works, his pay structure, the team, the support we will get, etc. I already felt at ease given Jeff's very candid and friendly demeanor. However, given that we were in transition of lawyers, there were some time-sensitive documents and work that needed to be done asap so I was a bit concerned whether he could help us right away and deliver what we needed by our due dates. When a day went by and Jeff began to get the wheels moving (even before we signed his retainer agreement), I was floored! Not only did he have ALL the work done on time, but he guided us through the process, and explained everything to me and my team in a thorough manner that we can understand.
It has now been several months and my experience working with Jeff is phenomenal! He is extremely easy to work with, he is thorough, patient and fair. He explains things to his clients in a very clear and easy-to-understand manner which is great (it saves us time and money!) He always delivers the work on time 100%, and has never put us on the back-burner. He does what he says and honors his word which is excellent....because I know that we're not his only client (as a startup, we are still treated like one of his celebrity clients!).
But the best thing I love about working with Jeff, is that stepping back from the work, I can see that he's well respected in the industry and in the community, and has a great reputation. Having now worked with him, I can see why. We're very lucky to have him......because it's my opinion, he's the BEST in entertainment law in Chicago.

Verizon called me for four years about someone else's unpaid bill. Although I kept telling Verizon they had the wrong number, both by phone and using Verizon's own online contact system, the calls kept coming. Verizon insisted they did not make calls like that and that the calls were not originating from them. When the calls increased (numerous calls in one day), I turned to Kim. She explained the federal statutes that cover this and I called Verizon again, mentioning key words. I was transferred to someone who found my number was incorrectly listed as an alternate contact number and the calls stopped! However, that was the last piece of the puzzle we needed and Kim went after Verizon and negotiated a very nice settlement. THANK YOU, KIM! No more calls AND a nice payoff.
