I hired Laura not too long ago to help me with a Domestic Violence Injunction. Laura was always by my side and was on top of the case. She was there to answer my calls right away after dialing, whether at Midnight or Early in the morning. She did the same for any E-Mails sent to us, providing us with any documents that would be needed for the outcome we wished for. Then came the day of the hearing. She was punctual and there early, and she was sharp and was able to persuade the judge to go in a manner that is greatly done. Normally, Injunctions only last for about 1 - 2 years. But, with Laura's help we got an answer that seemed impossible, a ten year injunction. We got an answer that went beyond out expectations. I would recommend Laura for anyone. I was lucky enough to get Attorney Elizabeth Rich twice using the Avvo Legal Services Portal for consultations regarding a very complicated issue involving a small church in Wisconsin. Elizabeth was the first attorney I spoke to using Avvo, and I walked away from that phone call telling myself that was the best thing I ever did. She armed me with concrete next steps as well as a handful of different resources to help me find more information. I really had no idea where to turn at that point and Elizabeth pointed me in a direction which catapulted me forward. Almost a month later, using the Avvo Legal Services portal again, I was assigned Attorney Elizabeth. When I realized it was her I was absolutely delighted. Sure enough, she listened to how things had progressed and even told me she had reached out to lawyers in the area about my case to see if anyone was willing to help. It was just what I needed to feel hopeful again and feel a sense of direction. I retained Marcy 5 years ago and the only regret I have is not doing it sooner. She has changed our lives for the better. The school dist. has us backed in a corner. Year after year, we have been told by other lawyers and are school district what are son can't have for his disabilities. Even though in Wrights Law, says it's a law, and he needs it for his disabilities. Until we were referred to Marcy and Tiffany by a person with a professional Special Education background. My husband and I hired Jonathan after having a dispute with a contractor. This was the first time either one of us had ever hired a lawyer. Jonathan was highly recommended by a colleague and we immediately understood why. I texted him requesting urgent help on a Thursday night as our issue was time sensitive. He responded that evening and by Friday morning, we had hired him. He was able to efficiently gather enough information to start addressing our urgent concern that Friday afternoon. Within the week, our situation was resolved to our satisfaction. His responsiveness and professionalism was outstanding. He helped set expectations and educate us. He was upfront about expected costs for our case and when we ended up exceeding that, he honored his initial quote. My job was eliminated after 18 yrs. I was 1 of 3 over age 60 eliminated. Since there were new employees and less seniority employees , i felt i was let go unfairly with age discrimination. Jonathan fought for a new severance contract against the medical corporation and won. He achieved double the severance i was offered per "their protocol" that was unfair. I hired Lori for a modification after having a different attorney for my original divorce. I wish Lori had represented me from the beginning - I would have saved a lot of money and a lot of frustration. Lori listened to me and helped me clarify my goals. Nothing could be more frightening than to have your child brought home to you, bloodied and beaten up. I have never felt so vulnerable and helpless.
Initially, I tried to handle her legal needs myself—calling the police, contacting her school, and petitioning for civil restraining orders against the juveniles who assaulted my daughter. We encountered a court system that was unhelpful, that favored the assailants because they had a lawyer, and that unfairly subjected my daughter to insults and reprimanded my 16-year-old daughter.
I interviewed a few lawyers and kept being told to talk to Todd Spitzer because of his expertise in victim’s rights. Hiring Spitzer turned the case around for us. He was consistently respectful, and his advice was always on the mark. Spitzer invoked my daughter’s Marsy’s Law rights (the California Victims' Bill of Rights Act of 2008, which Spitzer helped become part of the state’s constitution). He represented us in civil court, where he was able to get temporary restraining orders continued through the criminal proceedings. With his representation, my daughter was treated respectfully.
When the District Attorney moved to prosecute, Todd Spitzer, under the provisions of Marsy’s Law, represented my daughter in court, talked with the District Attorney, made a successful argument for full restitution, and relayed my daughter’s remarks to the judge. This saved my daughter from being further victimized by the courts and relieved her of the trauma of having to again be in the presence of her main attacker. The guilty plea in this criminal assault case was one that all other attorneys I talked to said was unlikely if not impossible. Todd Spitzer made it possible, negotiating with the defense attorney and making sure that my daughter’s rights were upheld and that her interests were fairly represented.
At each step along the way, Todd Spitzer kept us fully informed about the process and was always available to answer our questions. My daughter’s ability to pull through this trauma is related to a great degree to Todd Spitzer’s ability to obtain justice for her. He gave her confidence, and he made her feel supported; he transformed her from victim to survivor. We are grateful for his commitment to victim’s rights and to doing what is right.

Rima takes the time to understand the details of your case and has an in-depth understanding of higher-education law. After an initial discussion of the problem I was relieved to find out that Rima concentrated her practice on representing faculty Rather than institutions. Raza and her partner were able to help me with an outstanding warrant of 2 years of which I had no idea I had against me until I found out through a background check done on me. I called upon Raza of Margolin and Lawrence when things looked very grim for me coming up on trial for a felony DUI. I was referred by a close friend who had hired them. I highly recommend this lawyer to all my family and close friends. I had to higher Richard another lawyer because my previous one completely miss informed me on my case which made everything worse even leading up to me having a warrant! I needed someone ASAP!! My son got himself into some trouble in college a couple years ago when he was 18. We initially hired an attorney that was a friend of a family member. After viewing the discovery he told us our best option was a plea deal for 3 years in state prison! He explained that due to the way the law is written, and my son's immediate confession when questioned by police, there was nothing anyone could do to reduce that sentence. We didn't want to accept that deal so we sought different representation, but in the back of our minds we believed that attorney and were devastated. My son had never been in trouble before or since, and was extremely remorseful. I worried how 3 years in state prison would change him.
We were introduced to Mike from a police officer friend who told us that Attorney's Hartman was so good he and his fellow officers dreaded having to face them in court. Mike was empathetic from the start. He reviewed our case, listened to our concerns and got right to work. Despite the snail's pace of the courts during the pandemic, and multiple changes in the prosecutor assigned to our case, Mike was relentless in his attempts to negotiate for a better deal and kept us abreast of the situation as it evolved. He was able to have the charge reduced from a 2nd degree to a 3rd degree, and the 3 year state prison sentence reduced to 180 days in county jail. Many lawyers would be very satisfied with that achievement, but Mike didn't rest. Mike argued at sentencing for an even further reduction to no jail component, so well, in fact, that the prosecutor stated in open court that they would not appeal if the judge decided on a reduced sentence with no jail component. The judge ultimately sentenced him to 90 days in county jail followed by probation. Mike still didn't rest. Ten days later my son was released from jail upon admission into a program that Mike facilitated after sentencing. He is the reason my son will be home for the Holidays this year with a newfound gratitude for his second chance. Mike is genuine, capable, kind, diligent, compassionate, skilled, and relentless. He achieved what many other attorneys couldn't, or wouldn't, and my family is eternally grateful.

Mr. Mormando recently helped me through a DUI charge. It was my first time (and last time!) and I had no idea what to do. I had never even been in a courtroom before. Mr. Mormando explained everything to me with exacting detail as to what to expect in court, the possible penalties, repercussions and what would happen after the verdict was rendered. My experience/journey with Courtney Kelledes has been a pleasant and knowledgeable one. I contacted her for help with a years long ongoing situation which had been taken upon by other lawyers with no resolve. After explaining my situations and concerns she informed me that she would contact me after reviewing my info with her partners. I was contacted back shortly where she told me, while she could not make guarantees she and her partners did find merit in my cause, requests and ultimately my goal. From there Courtney laid out a precise step by step strategy with options for said steps. After that it was blast off as she went to work on my behave legally while thoroughly explaining steps, goals, expectations and timelines. Since its a felony , I can be deported if convicted . That means can't live in the United States with my family . No more American dreams . He is a nice person. But if you want someone who will fight for you in my own opinion he won’t. Very hard to reach at important times. Overall let me down on my case. Again very nice and respectful to his CLIENTS; however he has no problem telling you” plead guilty and pray for mercy” after months of saying everything is fine. All I wanted was a fair trial. I asked for a jury over 3xs some how I walked into court with a bench trial. Complicated cases is not his strong point and instead of passing it on to another lawyer, he’ll try gambling your freedom. Really let me down didn’t even put in a motion of discovery he was listening to audios off of the commonwealths computer. That he never heard which where played at each level I’ve been to in court! Didn’t even have the correct dates being used against me. On top of all that was rude to my witnesses and NEVER spoke to them and this was my appeal trial. Set me up for pure failure.
