In 2015, I was asked by my medical school to leave the M.D. program citing my academic under-performance. At that time, I had serious family obligations, due to which I could not fully dedicate my time at the school. I could not take time off of school either because my 'green card' application was still pending-- anything that would jeopardize my immigration status in the US would possibly affect my green card approval. Despite my numerous attempts, I had not been able to get an appointment with a physician at the medical school's student clinic. Later, I found out that the months of delay in referral to a psychiatrist was because of clerical incompetence at the clinic, who was later fired of the job. In February 2015, I was diagnosed with moderately severe depression and moderate anxiety and put on medication by a physician's assistant (PA), after I my plea to see any medical profession at the clinic. Soon after, I was able to see an actual psychiatrist due to urgent referral of the PA. The psychiatrist, after evaluating my situations, wrote a 4-page long letter to the medical school for a 'medical leave of absence'. The school took another 2 months, sending my case from committee to committee, to finally dismissing me from the school sticking to the academic under-performance reason. They made these decisions without letting me testify in person, even though I was allowed to do so before the official MLOA was submitted.
This is when I was able to get a hold of Karen Bower. Under her consultation, I requested my educational records from the university, including all the communication among individuals at the medical school, relating to the decision of dismissal. It was discovered that the committees believed that I made up stories to make a case, and that they did not believe the complex situation I was under because of family and immigration issues.
It was under Karen's guidance that I finally put a complaint under the Office of Civil Rights at the Department of Education. Since, I am still pursuing to go to a medical school, I did not want to take it to the courts, and wanted to get it over with, I ended up signing a resolution agreement that changed my 'dismissal' to 'withdrawal' but would prevent me from applying to the same medical school again. This was the best resolution given the circumstances I was in, and I thank Karen for pushing me to make it happen.
On a personal level, I want to thank you, Karen, for being there for me, when it seemed like the whole world was against me.

My husband and I hired Mrs. Devon Wilt through referral of our good friend who also just experienced her services.
We had a case involving an unjust landlord who did not properly sound proof his ceilings before letting a restaurant move into his unit. We lived directly above the restaurant and heard bass from their opening hours until end hours-for five months.
The landlord could not fix the issue and instead turned his problem on us by ending our four year lease to our home overnight. She was able to justify our case on our behalf and save us the monies the landlord he was trying to wrongfully withhold.
If it were not for Mrs. Wilt there is no way we would have received the large amount he owed us (that was ours to begin with) for the unexpected move.
Due to hiring her, he expensed $1,800 for the issue he never corrected, let us break our lease earlier, and returned our last month rent as well as security, $4,400 (all in which he had 0 intention of doing if it were not for her).
I was so stressed beyond belief and she took the burden off our shoulders and handled the situation completely with such high professionalism and care.

Ms. Wilt is an excellent attorney. She is attentive during case proceedings. Answers all questions in a timely manner. She tells me exactly what is going on all the time. What is good with Ms.Wilt she helps with an umbrella of services. I had several issues I needed resolved and she's able to assist with all of them. I switch to her from another "top" attorney that didn't file any papers ,didn't answer any questions,gave no good advice. Devon was able to tell me exactly the proceedings and what needs to be done. I would definitely recommend her.

I would recommend George to anyone in need of his services. He helped me out on my DUI case in 2013. My dui charge was dropped. I did not have to go through the hassle of attending dui classes, AA meeting, lengthy hours of community service, SR-22 inaurance. I went to court once on the day of my trail and my dui was dismissed. Did not even have to pay any court fees. Thanks George!

Mr. Gattone and his staff are caring about the issues that affect the our population today. What most people do not realize is that the issues he goes to court for affect the rest of us. When a lawsuit comes it puts everyone on notice that the behavior won't be tolerated and the other people involved do not sleep so well. Brenton Whitney Aitken Hands is a consummate Professional and worked incredibly long and hard to ensure the truth was set forth in a case in which our family member had been falsely charged and illegally detained in isolation in Orange County, California. We had a very successful outcome for our legal case that allowed us to stabilize our family's life after a brain injury. Yet it was the process of the case that was as important to us, because we had so much to manage medically, emotionally, and mentally, during this challenging time. Chris Nace and his excellent team didn't involve us unless they needed our attention, allowing us to place our focus where it was required, in our healing. Also, they spent time answering our questions, no matter how trivial, since we had never used a lawyer except in the creation of our wills. We felt prepared for the case, and informed of our options, but yet not burdened by too much information. We were given adequate preparation for the next steps, but we were not overwhelmed by a multitude of responsibilities. I have had more issues with my driving record then I would like. I have gone to court myself and had different people represent me in court. Scott was the best, I didn't have to do anything. He kept me informed at all times. I wish I would have known him in my earlier years. I would recommend him. I was issued a citation for over 85 , the officer also stated he had me on Radar. I did have my radar detector on so I know I was not clocked at the speed , but I have tried to fight it on my own before and lost. He as able to get the case dismissed, I kept my license, added no points, and never had to go to court. The process was drug out for over a year and a half due to courts backed up and he did not charge me any extra for the extra time spent since that part was out of my control.

Kevin Owen is a young Employment Law attorney with great skill, intelligence, and abilities. He is capable, competent, and kind. I contacted Devin over 2 years ago because it was some false information put in my credit report which was denying me of getting a place to live. When the credit bureau found out that I had a lawyer (Devin) guiding me in the right direction, the negative impact on my credit report was immediately removed. I went on with my life but Devin was still on the case. After 2 years had gone by I get a surprising email from Devin stating that the company was ready to settle. The nice amount of money that I received quickly after the settlement really helped me out a lot. Can’t thank Devin enough. He was my best choice.

I retained the services of Mr. Pagano several years ago when he was practicing as a criminal defense attorney. I was charged with misdemeanor battery and sexual abuse. Although these were very frightening charges, Mr. Pagano always discussed the case with me in person and carefully went through how the law applied to my particular case. He firmly believed in my innocence and never waivered in his approach to fighting for me at all court hearings. He demonstrated superior knowledge of the law in all his court presentations and motions. Unfortunately, he had to discontinue representing me before my cases concluded because he was appointed as a judge/magistrate for the County Division Courts in Lake County. Based on all my experiences with Attorney Pagano during that two-year period on my case, I would strongly recommend him in the area of criminal law and for any judicial position in the criminal courts. If more people like him were judges, there would be far fewer miscarriages of justice and innocent people would not be wrongly convicted. Mike honestly does the right thing and holds the State to their burden of proof without reservations.

I will recommend Rhia to everyone I know without hesitation. Her knowledge , experience and understanding of the intricacies necessary to successfully navigate the legal process were head and shoulders above my expectations.
My dissoulution with child process took over a year and a half. Choosing a lawyer was tough because let's be honest, lawyers have a certain reputation when generalized as a whole(Not Rhia). I found a lawyer who fit all of those stereotypes (Not Rhia) and promptly fired her in exchange for Rhia's services.
Rhia was responsive , communicated clearly (without all that lawyer babble) and at no point did I ever feel like she wasn't paying attention. She even worked through her maternity leave when my family experienced a crisis .
Every step of the way Rhia ensured I was informed and comfortable with each choice we made together. She presented facts, options, advice and so much more.
In the long preparation for my case , I compiled a truckload of exhibits and information , all of which Rhia reviewed analyzed and utilized in my case. I was very impressed with the preparation process.
Then we went to trial. RHIA KICKED ASS.
Part of me feels like I should leave it at that but I will elaborate. Rhia is an expert in the courtroom. She was calm cool collected and calculated. Every Direct or Cross examination of a witness exemplified superior preparation and excellent skill in uncovering the truths of the situation. Wow.
Words can't express how much Rhia has exceeded my expectations.
If you have read this far, you are like me when I started this process. Doing whatever you can to find the right attorney and not get ripped off. I have been in turmoil for over a year now since deciding to file for my divorce/custody case.
During a time of desperation when I needed help protecting my child and the attorney I had been working with remained unresponsive, I sought out help from a family advocate center.

Brenda Popplewell is a true champion for the falsely accused.
Brenda saved my sister from the death penalty. My sister was falsely accused of capital murder and robbery—crimes she did not commit. The jury found my sister Not Guilty of all charges. I have since learned how rare it is for a jury to come back with a Not Guilty verdict in a death penalty case. Mr Buting has been worked diligently on all of our cases all the way thru the process with superb results in all cases. He pays particular attention to details and stays one step ahead of prosecutors by knowing what cards to show and when to say NO. Mr Buting was superior to lawyers we had used in past cases. Mr Buting covered areas on our cases which in the past other lawyers had little experiance how to research and lay out defenses . Only could afford a 45 minute consultation. One of the few attorneys cometent in a Bill of Reveiw appeal. Asked all the tough questions and expected consistent answers. Defined exactly what could be done and what couldn't. Didn't get trapped in nuance or that no injustice should be any reason of an appeal. Accepted my premises but said the court may not. In the end he spent over an hour with me. Offered to work with me on the financial aspect but my appeal is from Family Court and felt his talents would be wasted. In the end he provided invaluable inforamation to work with the firm I did retain.
