Unfortunately my Mother passed away without having a Will or any of her Estate affairs in order. Prior to my mothers passing I had never handled an Estate before. I contacted a few attorneys but didn't feel they were the right fit for all of the complications pertaining to the Estate. Some attorney's weren't even willing to take it on. A neighbor of mine (who is an attorney) suggested that I contact Mr. Andre McDonald to handle my Mothers Estate. After our initial phone consultation, I knew immediately that he was the the right fit for all that needed to be accomplished. It was around the holidays. Mr. McDonald went above and beyond the typical duties that involve getting an Estate opened. He stayed involved and was on top of every aspect regarding the Estate throughout the entire process. He followed through with getting the Estate closed in a timely fashion. Mr. McDonald was very professional and knew exactly what to do and how to handle the Estate. He was always informative and reliable. Mr. McDonald always personally returned my phone calls and my emails in a timely manner. His staff was very pleasant and a joy to work with during a very hard time in my life. He kept me up to date on anything that needed to be done. He took the time to answer any questions or concerns that I had. Dealing with the loss of a loved one is a challenge within itself but Mr. McDonald put my mind at ease. My experience in your office started first by receiving a very warm and friendly welcome greetings offered by two of your professionally mannered Staff-Ladies which was telling me a lot about the existence of a very friendly and professional administrative setup in your office. I had arrived earlier than my appointment time and was sitting in your office waiting-room that you put the key onto the office entry door-lock, opened it and seeing me sitting there, you walked right towards the chair I had sat on with a warm welcoming smile on your face rather than rushing right into your office. We shook hands and exchanged some short icebreaker friendly conversation with each other and then you walked away going into your office. I liked those friendly gestures a lot. Shortly after, I was escorted to your office. After getting to know about my overall problem which was almost sketchy because of the time laps, you engaged me with a series of interesting methodical questioning about my situation and continued with probing into my almost over four decades old memories which I was frankly thinking that you would be looking to find a needle in a haystack. My husband and I were having a rather bizarre issue with our S-Corporation and The State of Maryland and we needed to speak with a tax attorney. When I explained our issue, Eric listenened and gave me a few options to consider. There was no "sales pitch" to get us into his office. In fact, Eric offered to talk to our accountant to help us make the best choice! After speaking with our accountant, the option that we chose did not give Eric any immediate business. I was injured in a rear end collision on the Capital beltway. Mr. Rosenthal worked on my case patiently for an extended period of time due to continued medical treatment. He helped negotiate a settlement with the responsible party's insurance company that I would never have been able to accomplish on my own. I liked that we discussed the case as a team, as this allowed me to fully understand a very complicated process. Margaret is like MJ G.O.A.T!!! I’m not just saying that because she got my charges dropped I’m saying that because when your backed in the corner she comes up with things that will make you say WHAT!!! I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I was charged and held "without bail" along with 5 others. And though the charges were "trumped-up"...I thought I would never be with my family again nor see the light of day! Retaining Margaret Mead was the best decision I could have made at this precarious time. Margaret Mead rescued me and represented me for my Bail Review. Though the State tried to paint the worst picture of me and recommend I still be held without bail, Margaret Mead had me released in hours. The others charged were not so fortunate. Sherri was my lawyer for the adoption of my daughter. She is very professional. Easy to talk to. Laid back. She is willing to work with a busy schedule. Easy to get ahold of. Almost everything was done via telephone and email. I only had to meet in person once. All covid precautions were practiced. Sherri was dressed presentable. I was driving with no insurance, than I hit someone. I had some jail time charges. I missed my court date. Mr. Scott handle everything. He got the jail time charges remove. None of this is on my driving record. All I had to pay to the District Court was $275. Mr. Scott is great!!!! If you need a lawyer please use Mr. Richard Scott, he will give you a GREAT outcome.

We hired Mr. Sharifi to help with a young family member's probation violation. I was actually referred by a friend of a friend in the legal system. I am so glad I took that reference because what was supposed to be a cut and dry case ended up taking two hearings, convincing a judge to take on a different perspective, a lot of phone calls, emails, and coordination with several family members and private individuals. I reached out to Mr. Sharifi by email, and after an initial phone call, he provided a quote for services. I thought the price was fair- but after receiving the full legal service I realize it was more than fair! Mr. Sharifi took every single one of my phone calls. He answered every email and addressed every concern that anyone, including his client or family members had, from start to finish. He emphasized the importance of his client and family members having a clear understanding of the proceedings, decisions, options, consequences, and what information was needed. Nothing was too small to discuss, and he was a very hands on attorney! This attorney has heart. He has a good understanding of what the client wants and what the court needs to hear. John has been excellent in handling my case from start to finish. From the time I contacted him and shared my need of representation, to when I had to walk out of the court room with a favorable verdict, he took the time to listen to everyone of my concerns, did all the research necessary and came prepared with a few strategies. He was very thorough at explaining what the worse case scenario would be and what we would have to do if that was the case. He was straight up and did set the right expectations. His arguments were strictly based on his knowledge of the law. We enter into 2020 with new hopes and dreams. I reflect on 2019 and the many blessings I am grateful for. However, as the old saying goes "into every life a little rain must fall." My chapter 13 Bankruptcy is difficult missed payments, job changes, spouse passing. I was all over the place and depressed. I didn't know how to take Doug laid back calm approach to all the events I thought he was gonna fire me! Yet he helped me through it all. Highly recommend his service

My wife and I had a very atypical CH7 case with multiple properties and other complications that, at first glance, made it look like our case wouldn't pass the presumption of abuse test. In fact, it failed when we used the supplied calculator. So going in I thought we might have to file a CH13. Doug reviewed our situation and felt confident we could file a successful CH7. He expertly navigated the issues and helped us throughout the process, including amending the paperwork more than once as the case evolved, due to a very picky Trustee. Ultimately we received our CH7 discharge and did not have to pay anything to the Trustee. We were as thrilled as two bankrupt people could be! My advice: Be prepared. Help Doug help you. Have all of your financial information together, including how much is owed to which creditor, your assets, etc. and put your income and expenses in writing (we used a spreadsheet -- like I said, complicated case).

Douglas Gorius helped me in a very difficult time. Doug's knowledge of the laws coupled with his personality and compassion for those he helps was what gave me and my family the peace of mind we finally needed. Doug took over our case at the request of the courts since our previous attorney disappeared without any notice. Doug happen to be in court the day we were scheduled for a very difficult hearing in our case. We had no representation and no contact from the attorney we had hired. Doug was in court that day for his other clients, he was known not only by the judge, but by the trustee and many within the court room. Doug saw how distraught we were and when asked by the judge, he accepted the responsibility to represent us going forward. It is hard to explain what a relief it was to have Doug on our side. Doug met with us soon after that court appearance, he quickly came up to speed with our case which was almost 4 years old and in no time had our minds at ease, all of the proper paperwork filed on our behalf and walked us through the steps to ensure our case made it through to the final discharge. Doug's knowledge of the law's pertaining to bankruptcy, his knowledge of the trustees and the court system make him one of the best in his field, in our opinion. Add to that his ability to relate to everyone and explain complex matters in such a way that you can understand them makes working with Doug very easy, even during a difficult time in your life.
