I would highly recommend Robert Baum to represent anyone going through a divorce. After my disappointing experience with a previous attorney, who mishandled my case from the start, I contacted Bob with the hopes of getting an experienced and seasoned divorce attorney. Mrs. West assisted me in a modification of custody and child support case. She is very knowledgeable with the law, she is patient and kind. She always answered every email promptly and always offered great advice. She was very up front with me in a respectful way and helped keep me grounded throughout this process. She kept me fully informed throughout my case, so as an anxious person, this is what I needed. I always knew what to expect throughout the process. She always listened to my concerns and never made me feel rushed. When I didn't understand something, she was great at explaining it so I did understand. She always made sure that I understood and was comfortable with every decision we made throughout this process. She never made me feel forced into do anything I wasn't comfortable with. Mrs. West is very efficient and detailed in her work. Once we had an agreement, it was typed up and signed immediately. She is an amazing lawyer. I couldn't have asked for a better attorney! I have and will continue to refer her to friends and family in need of a Family Law Attorney.

Ms West has been my attorney since 2012, she has efficiently resolved cases against my very hostile ex and his constant parade of attorneys. Kevin assisted us with the resolution of a claim against a particularly difficult party who insisted on appealing multiple rulings against them. What should have been settled by reasonable business people or a single hearing about the facts of the case, the defendant and his attorney insisted on using every means possible to delay and draw out the process. Although this wasn't a huge claim, the issue was based on fraudulent billing by the defendant and we wanted to see it through the entire process on a moral basis. Kevin did a great job getting the defendant to court and making our side of the case clear. We prevailed and Kevin also assisted in collecting the judgement after the defendant began stalling after the judgement was rendered. I highly recommend Kevin for your business law concerns!

My neighbor was claiming ownership of a large piece of my property and had built a fence on it. Kevin Best review the claim with county property records and agree that I had ownership of the property. He review my property rights with me and suggest a plan of action to remove the fence and on keeping her from excising ownership of it. The plan was successful and the encroach fence was removed. Currently she is staying off the property. Kevin was more then helpful when the Home Ownership Association question the fence removal. His knowledge of HOA convention rules were very helpful in responding to the Community Association. I would hire Kevin again.

My experience with the Law Office of Kevin J. Best has been a very positive one and I plan on maintaining a professional relationship with this attorney. I had been handling my particular case myself only to have it appealed (by the person suing me) twice and moved to different courts. The person has now filed their third and final appeal (allowed) with the court of appeals. I found myself in a situation where legal representation was a must. I had ten days to respond in writing to the writ of certiorari for the court of appeals. I needed an attorney-fast! I googled attorneys and found Kevin J. Best, located in Annapolis. I was pleasantly surprised when Mr. Best personally answered the phone. I was immediately able to discuss my very complicated/time sensitive situation. I scheduled an immediate office appointment (2 hours) and fees were discussed during our phone conversation so there were no surprises. I felt Mr. Best was very reasonable. During the office visit Mr. Best very clearly explained and advised me with examples on how to respond to the writ of certiorari. Since I already had a rough draft of a response and Mr. Best was not familiar with the case to date he advised me to follow through myself to keep the cost down. I worked on my response at home-emailed it to Mr. Best the next day. Within hours he revised it and put it into legal format and emailed it back to me all prepared and ready to mail to the court. This was above and beyond my expectations. All I had left to do was print, make copies and certify mail it to the court. I made the court deadline with days to spare and I filed the paperwork appropriately as required by this court's rules and guidelines- which I had no idea about. All with the help of my new attorney- Kevin J. Best. If needed Mr. Best will represent me at the court of appeals.

I was looking for a specific type of lawyer who was familiar with Federal Government and the complaint process and Attorney Patricia Randle was highly recommended by an associate. Ms. Otieno is extremely knowledgeable and upfront . Listen to her ! and you will be successful. There where times when I was a little aggravated and even offended by her statements . But she forces you to turn the mirror on yourself which is often needed in child custody cases . I just wish I had hired her years ago instead of going through so many other attorneys .

Mr. Davis has worked with me three separate times. He prepared my Will and all those papers you have to have now days - the Power of Attorney and Living Will, financial papers and on and on. My head was swimming. He spent a lot of time with me and made it as painless as possible. It's not fun making a Will. The second time I worked with him, he handled the probate of my father's estate. The third time was the probate of my mother's estate. He was kindness, itself, both times. It's never easy when a parent dies yet he was able to be comforting as well as helpful. He spent more time with me than he probably should have and made sure I understood everything that was happening with the estates. I highly recommend him to anyone with elder law concerns. He leaves no stone unturned and makes sure you, the client, understand and are aware of the ins and outs of the legal stuff older people have to deal with. (His assistant, Michelle, is great, too.)

I was seriously injured in a severe car accident last September. Her firm met with me and went above and beyond in helping me through the process, referring me to some outstanding specialists, handling my medical bills and handling all of the communications with the insurance companies. They even handled the paperwork to close out my auto loan on my car which was totaled in the accident. I'm confident that they wil get the maximum settlement for my family. I called Mr Plummer regarding i485 marriage based adjustment of status, and he was very helpful. He took time to explain alot of things to me and I was so happy. And guess what..., for zero cent. He is super talented, packed with knowledge. I even called a second time, he was not available. I left him a voice message and he returned my call and still took time to answer to my questions for no charge...no fee. He is God sent. It is hard to find attorneys like this these days. Unfortunately when I was ready to hire him,he was not accepting new clients. This attorney is a genius. I will definitely recommend him anytime anyday anywhere. We had a lot of questions relating to the I-130 petition for alien relative and the I-485 adjustment of status applications and Mr. Plummer was very helpful in answering all of them and did not charge us a cent even though we were there for nearly an hour. Although my case is so ongoing and probably will be dragged out for quite a while, I felt the need to write this review anyway. I hired Josh a couple weeks ago to represent me in what is a VERY sticky, messy case. Within an HOUR of retaining him, much to my surprise, he had entered himself as my attorney and filed a bunch of motions on my behalf! So to say he is quick, professional and on top of things is an understatement. He is in constant contact with me, answering my (many) questions as they present & makes me feel at ease as I am a very hurt, ball of nerves. He’s been fantastic and if I have to go through this mess, I’m glad I have HIM to fight for me!

April 2017. After I filed for custody of my child I was charged with domestic violence. I was also charged with a protective order in an attempt to keep me from contacting my ex and our daughter for 2 years. I was completely devastated, not only because I am a man fighting for custody and there are so many rumors that the family law court is biased against men, also because I had lost my freedom and the most precious thing in my life, my daughter, because of false allegations. I hired Josh Ortega the morning after I got out of jail. He had 1 night to prepare for the protective order hearing. The protective order against me was denied. Josh Ortega then represented me for the domestic violence/assault charges that were filed against me. For all 7 charges I was found either Not Guilty or dismissed. Finally, after 14 months I had court for my child custody case. End result, we got a great outcome. I say "we" because Josh has been with me every step of the way. I believe he really cares about my daughter and winning my case. There have been many phone calls and emails that Josh didn't even charge me for. This case worked out exactly how I needed it to and now my daughters mother has calmed down a lot. I would say one of Mr. Ortega's biggest strengths is performance in the court room. Has ability to be passive and to be aggressive in court. Quick thinking. Wants to win. I was very passionate about winning my case and Josh was the best attorney I could have asked for.

Ellyn Tanenberg has been preparing our tax returns for almost 10 years, after we determined that the complexities of our returns were far beyond our ability to resolve with TurboTax. We initially asked the advice of another tax preparer whom we trusted implicitly, and he suggested that Ellyn Tanenberg was hands-down the best person we could turn to for help. She has been preparing our returns ever since, and in all this time, she has never let us down. In recent years, our situation has been complicated by the new requirement to closely manage of our retirement investments, and Ellyn has been giving us invaluable assistance to help us to understand the tax implications of movements in and out of our retirement accounts that our fund managers have not always considered. She has thus saved us from making some costly mistakes. Also, she is meticulous in going through the financial reports to ferret out the necessary input data. More recently, we made a purchase of some offshore rental property. Here too, Ellyn has been painstaking in organizing and properly reporting on the investment income. Furthermore, without Ellyn’s thorough research and assistance, we would have been totally lost regarding preparation of the requisite Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR). Another important role Ellyn fills has been in interpreting and applying some of the arcane provisions of our State Tax Code. For example, the coding of retirement income for retired state employees can be confusing. Also, there are instructions for reporting deductions for military retirement pay that are difficult to interpret. Ellyn thoroughly researches the answers to these situations, and thus, here also she has saved us some considerable tax expense. Ellyn Tanenberg is our go-to person for tax assistance. Without a doubt, I am sure there is no better qualified person than Ellyn for tax advice and preparation.

My husband and I spent years trying to resolve a tax problem. We literally felt hopeless and did not know where else to turn. Upon conferring with our daughter, Attorney Ellyn Tanenberg was recommended. Ellyn was very competent and thorough as she prepared to represent us. Victoria worked tirelessly on our IRS case. It wasn't even an audit but the IRS was treating it as if it were. We spent one year working through the issues that the IRS created. I had to file chapter 7 due to a bad decision I made while in college. I was left with a large amount of debt and had a lot of stress due to this mistake I made. Mr. Meng provided the utmost professionalism in an extremely difficult estate case wherein three siblings were deadlocked and the estate was not moving forward at all in over a year. In an extremely complicated and emotional estate case involving both parents passing away within six months of each other, three siblings with three different attorneys and no agreement; Mr. Meng came in and was able to move the case forward and settled within a couple of months. Mr. Meng was a hands on attorney even to the point of spending a Saturday going through forty years of “stuff” to have the case move forward. Mr. Meng knows the law and was available for consultations at any time. Most importantly, the case was settled quickly and equitably.

There are lawyers, then they’re heroes. Nicholas Exarhakis is more than an attorney, he’s a warrior. I discovered Nick on a google search as I desperately scrambled to find an attorney after my previous attorney dropped the ball on my case. My case was complex and far from an easy litigation or legal maneuver. Since the very first consultation I understood immediately that Nick was not the type of attorney that will give me false hope or give me unreal expectations for my case. He was REAL and HONEST. I am a man who wanted custody of my daughter from a mother who had custody since birth (6 years). Without getting into the details of the case, Nick fought relentlessly to have me granted primary custody. The battle was fierce with many motions, hearings appeals and so on, but Nick showed up prepared, armed with facts, evidence, discovery findings, effective cross examination questions and more. He went above and beyond to say the least. No doubt, his time is not cheap, but it was money well spent as I am now the primary custodian of my daughter after 6 years of being alienated from her. NO OTHER ATTORNEY WAS ABLE TO DO WHAT NICK DID. He’s in a different class. If you are a parent (especially a male) who is discouraged because you think that the legal system has failed you, or need the representation you deserve, contact Nicholas Exarhakis about your case.
