Claudia is amazing! My mother was in need of selling her house, my childhood family home, which is emotional enough without having to deal with all the legal and business nonsense of the whole process. As my mother's POA, I was tasked with the job of dealing with the sale and I was completely dreading the experience. Claudia made this whole ordeal so easy for me to handle. I hired Claudia, per the recommendation of my real estate broker, to represent me in the sale of my Brooklyn condo. Throughout the process, Claudia maintained regular communication with me, thoroughly explained the legal vocabulary and contractual changes that came up, and was good about following up with the seller's attorney. I was looking for a lawyer to help me with the sale of my first house. I did know where to go so I did an internet search and found Mr. Miller's web site. It was really informative, so I gave him a call. Mr. Miller was terrific and since that time he has been my whole family's attorney. When my wife was injured in a car accident, thank God he was there to help us; when my aunt died he got us through probate; when my son got divorced his firm made sure that things were settled in a fair and reasonable manner. I was recommended to Mr. Miller by a friend when I had some trouble with the police a while back. The police had grabbed me off the street and arrested me for a crime I did not commit - and when I asked to speak to a lawyer - they beat me up so badly that I wound up in the hospital for two weeks. I cannot recommend anyone more highly than Mr. Miller as a top flight criminal and civil attorney. Not only did he prove my innocence, now we are negotiating a substantial civil settlement with the city for the injuries caused by the police. This is why I call Andrew Miller Brooklyn's Best.

We recently sold The Condo Unit From Hell and I was unusually frantic about something going wrong with the deal. In fact, we had moved out immediately after a man was shot and killed outside our building in the early evening--just one of several gun shot events near our building--and we sold it as a vacant unit. The buyers asked for an unusual concession (a reduced escrow) and I would have agreed instantly to almost anything. But Donald didn't like giving so much up, so he crafted a novel rider to the contract that fully protected our interests while simultaneously solving the buyer's escrow problem. During due diligence, the buyer's attorney was sniffing around the condo documents, on the verge of discovering an ill-advised set of proposed bylaw changes that the ignorant board president was still trying to get passed. I told Donald the whole story with the bylaws. He distilled my account and truthfully informed the other attorney, who cleared the buyers to sign. The closing itself was smooth and flawless. The upshot is, if you're selling real estate, it hardly matters who your attorney is unless something goes wrong. Donald Fraser has a great word-of-mouth reputation and deservedly so.

I hired Mr. Brown in 2015 to find if my Mom was entitled to pension from a closed company. At the time I only wanted to find the information for my elderly mom. She belong to a union when she was employed by this company. I approached Mr. Brown and provided very little information. I was amazed Mr. Brown worked on this case with limited information. He was able to contact the union and provided all the necessary documents to the union. My mom was able to received the pension retroactive from April 2003 to now. I am very satisfied with his excellent services. I will now need his services on probate the will and transfer of Coop Apt. I am confident he will provide excellent services again!

After the passing of my mother Marie, my brother and I were left with assets she did not get a chance to transfer to her 2 sons. Many said it was complicated and will take a while to be allocated. My mom was falling in her apartment and I was contacted by her neighbor after willfully living under a rock for as long as I could. I was worried that my mom would burn through my retirement savings in all honesty, I'd just retired, and she was running low on resources and when I'd called about hiring a home health aide, I nearly had a heart attack finding out what that would cost me. Overwhelmed is an understatement for how I was feeling. In all honesty, I was also feeling victimized, woe-is-me for having to deal with it when my mom had been very difficult for all of my life up to this point.
Hiring Ms. Goeman was the single best move I've made in years and the best money my sister and I have ever paid for any service. Ms. Goeman took care of the medicaid application and explained everything to us in terms we can understand. My sister is not the brightest bulb on the tree and this brilliant woman made everything understandable to both of us. She crossed the t's and dotted the i's for us, it wasn't overnight but it was faster than we had anticipated and Ms. Goeman's fee was way within what we had budgeted.
I can sleep at night because of the work this woman did for us. Honestly, it's improved my relationship with my mom because I'm not feeling resentful any longer about having to potentially go broke to care for her. I should also mention that Ms. Goeman met my mom once and she was very tender and generous with her. She really seems to have an affection for her clients.

Robin advised my family when my grandmother was unable to care for herself in her home any longer and was also running out of money. Without Robin, I really don't know how we would have managed to seek out benefits and resources to which my grandmother was entitled. The process for the layperson is not at all straight forward. My grandmother has been able to remain in her home with fulltime assistance because of Robin. Robin also walked us through the process of finding the best home should that be necessary and we will hire her again when that time comes although she empowered us with knowledge so that we could possibly navigate the waters ourselves. She is extremely bright, unpatronizing, compassionate, and thorough, and her rates were very reasonable, considering. A great lawyer and human being.

I had a crazy accident. I fell on a walkway but I was not exactly sure where the defect was located. Mr. Rattner was able to get surveillance footage from another building. He used the video to demonstrate exactly where the accident happened. He also hired an engineer to prove the the walkway violated building codes. He turned a tough case into a really good settlement.
