Honesty, Integrity, Character:
This was my first time seeking assistance from a legal professional. Mr. Kershner is considerate, to the point, and professional. Unfortunately he was not able to provide me with the services I needed, however, he was able to be clear and upfront about that, and provide me with references to individuals that could help me with my situation.
Mr. Kershner was honest, and open about his areas of expertise, and practice. He gave me as much guidance as he could, which included referral to other legal professionals that are more practiced in the specific area I needed help with. He did all of this in less than 30 minutes, and during a courtesy consultation.
Mr. Kershner could easily have charged me for the same advice, and I would have been in no position to know better. He displayed integrity and character which I much appreciated. He was prompt with his scheduling and follow through.

Sandhya was a pleasure to talk to. In 2021 I was referred to Sandhya by a friend who had worked with her who said she was fantastic. Boy, what an understatement! I don’t think words can express how grateful I am to have worked with Sandhya on a difficult emergency Child Custody case.

Sandhya Is fantastic!
My ex-wife is a lawyer who filed a default. Trying to remove custody from me and leave me penniless in a divorce. Sandhya helped me by Filing a request to deny default. She instructed me what to say when I was in court. My wife showed up to court with an attorney by her side.
Not only did I get the default denied, I was awarded attorneys fees. Temporary joint custody, plus an increase in spousal support.

I had reached out to Jean to discuss/review a separation agreement that I received from my employer. She was very accessible - I was able to speak with her directly on my first outreach (vs. many other firms who required a detailed questionnaire or discussion with a paralegal). Based upon that first conversation, it was clear that she had good intentions (it wasn't all about how much she would make from the settlement) - her desire was to help me achieve an appropriate outcome. When a person is wrongly terminated it takes away more than your job. You loose the essence of who you are, your confidence, your trust in people, how you interact with the outside world. You feel ashamed. But, Jean was able to change all that for me and my termination turned out to be a blessing. Jean gave me hope from the very first conversation. She and Katherine won my case and the money was great but what they really did was continually make me know that the termination wasn’t my fault. They believed in me. I lived across the country from Jean but it felt as though she was right next door. She was in contact when necessary and was always available when I needed to ask something. I was referred to Mr Lacklen by one of my good friends, when i got into a car accident. I was very stressed out and did not know much about him and how he would help me out. I am sooo thankful to have met Mr Lacklen. He is the best at what he does and you can clearly tell he does not do his job only for the money.
He is sooo helpful and veryyyy motivated and helpful. I did not have to do anything, he did ALL the work, contacting the other insurance and contacting Kaiser for me, I was stressed out that I would have to run around to get him all the info he needed but he took care of it all.
He was always checking up on me to make sure I was okay and comfortable. He always called to update me on what exactly was going on and for me to know and understand the whole procedure.
He is very organized and self driven, not to mention honest and responsible. If at anytime he needed my signatures, he would go out of his way and come to me, instead of having me take out time from my job and go sign.

I can't say enough about the representation and results I got with Mr. Wolff and I have been involved with four other lawyers in the past! My landlord had been doing all this illegal stuff and had just ignored me until Mr. Wolff took me in. I did not pay anything and the landlord ended up eating all the costs. SSA’s letter letting me know I had to appeal by a certain date never made it to me. I found myself frantically calling around with only hours to my deadline. I spoke with a few attorney’s and they all said my case would be too difficult to win. We hired Martin and team to help us with our situation. They took the time to understand our issue with sufficient patience and provided a deep insight into causes. He and his team were able to provide a fairly illustrative prognosis over the next steps on the case. With his legal experience he was able to drive prompt resolutions and also pivot on matters as necessary to keep our (client) interest at the center of potential outcomes.

Three years ago, I was walking outside of Kmart when two friends and I were detained by I.C.E. in Fairfield California. I was held in a detention facility in Seattle Washington for about a month. My two friends were deported and I was sure that any day I'd be next. I decided to take the option to fight my case in court. I was released on bail. I was confused about the immigration laws and had no clue how to go about fighting my case. I was recommended the law firm of Mrs. Clements and it was the best decision of my life. My case is not yet completed, and I wanted to write this before then...because for me, it is about more than a dollar amount. Working with John Winer has helped me realize what it is that happened to me; that brought me into his office. He has reminded me time and again that the injuries and batteries I endured were not my fault. I went to him at such a low and wounded point, and he met me there. Inch by painful inch he has brought me to a place of realization - that my attacker preyed on me, used me, and had the training and know-how to manipulate me. It was not my fault. Walking into John's office, I had lost the ability to trust anyone, least of all myself. A person I'd placed so much faith in, had completely destroyed me physically and verbally. Although I asked Anuar a pretty specific question about a contract, he gave background on the larger context that was relevant to my situation. Thus I learned of options / remedies I hadn't known much about. He also said that for the specific work I might need to hire an attorney for, I should find someone specializing in that area. Because of this I wasn't able to consider him for hire, but I appreciate his candor.

I was unexpectedly terminated from my job of several years and felt very unsure on what to do. I was referred to Hillary, who told it to me straight about the Pro's and Con's of moving forward with a case. Talking to them felt very easy and they asked me solid questions that helped me understand what a case would look like going forward. During the consultation, Hillary was quick to understand what entities might be involved as well as what level of court this case could be taken to. They made it clear what kinds of benefits I could receive from winning a case like mine, but there could be some serious professional aftermath that could follow my career whether I win or lose. At the end of the call I realized that while I was terminated and my life wouldn't get put back together right away, I am asking the right kinds of questions to the right people. Angela has represented my family for 3 years and she is amazing! I have restraining order, custody, and child support case against my ex who is a political figure. Angela is amazing for many reasons but here are my top 3: she knows the law and the judges; she is tech savvy; she is empathetic.
When I was assigned judge Nöel Wise Angela recommended we switch judges and she was so right! Also, when my ex attempted to divert the case to his political egotistical self, she redirected the case back to the well-being of our son.
Second, I text Angela (Yes, TEXT) if anything comes up, like an R.O. violation, and she responds quickly with a call or text.
Third, she understands survivors of domestic violence in the justice system- sometimes the system is not just. However, she advocates strongly for justice! I really trust her with everything!

Angela was my lawyer in a domestic violence restraining order case. I called several lawyers in the Bay Area while looking for a good fit, and Angela by far made the best impression on me. The first time we spoke on the phone, we spoke for quite a while at no charge. She went through how she would handle the case and I was impressed with her strategy. It was evident that she really cared about my situation, as was not out to just make money. She even gave me the name of another lawyer that did sliding scale work in case I needed a lower-cost option. In the end, I went with Angela, and I am so glad that I did! She was always on top of things, has a very solid knowledge of family law, was always prompt, and always had a solid strategy for how to move forward. During the entire case, the opposing counsel was trying everything possible to make the process harder for me, and frequently dragged their feet on things that needed to get done in the case. Angela took over several tasks that really should have been the responsibility of the opposing counsel because she wanted the best outcome possible. She did not even charge me for these things, which was very generous.
In the end, Angela was simply a much better lawyer than the opposing counsel and was able to negotiate a settlement, which saved me a lot of money. Everything that I wanted Angela was able to get for me, including a long-term restraining order and required anger management for the respondent. Angela was even able to get a significant part of my lawyers fees paid for by the opposing side. I could not have gotten nearly as much without her.
This was an extremely difficult situation for me to deal with, but Angela made me feel like there was someone on my side. If you are looking for a family lawyer, you will be hard pressed to find someone better than Angela.

I hired Mr. Daley of the Innocence Legal Team last year (2012). My case was quite unique as there was virtually no case law relating to my situation. This guy was good- knowledgeable, responsive, confident and respected by everyone in court. The basic thing is the attorney is an expert and regular people that don't the law and court stuff are scared shitless of what the legal system can do to our lives.
Demetrius stepped in and was an expert. He couldn't change the facts of my case, but he could make my rights count and bring to light the laws and options that benefited me to the court.

2020 and covid led me to drink and drive and I ended up getting arrested during the holidays. I called Oakland DUI Attorneys and it was the best decision. I'm also glad I called right when I was released from Santa Rita jail because many attorneys didn't answer their phones because of the holidays but this DUI lawyer was free to talk and within 30 minutes of being on the phone with them, I ended hiring them.
