When I first came to Alexis, I was heartbroken and discouraged by the way the LAUSD was treating our child. We had tried another attorney who had taken our money and not helped. I was a bit traumatized by the process when we found Alexis but - WOW, what a difference the right lawyer makes. It was such a relief to be able to trust that there was someone on our side that knew the system and would advocate for our son. Alexis has known everyone at each of our mediations and everyone has treated her with respect(believe it or not, this is not always the case). I hired Marilyn to work on a case involving my brother and can I just say WOW! She was very understanding of are situation as we did not have to money to pay her full hourly rate so she came up with a payment plan to help us. Marilyn worked hard to really help my brother and I get through the trial that we were facing (which was an uphill battle). She was the only lawyer to even hear us out and offer help. Mr. Kent Laszlo Kristof did an excellent job in handling a life insurance policy, which my late brother had left in charge to me and my other sibling. My late brother had a very clear explanation of what he wanted to have the funds used for, and someone very close to him, filed suit against us for the entire amount. We met with Mr. Kristof, and he provided several options on how to go about this situation, as he clearly explained the pros and cons of each approach. I haven't retained this attorney, but will offer a review of how she handled my specific inquiry directly from an email sent to her which I obtained on the CA Bar Association website.
I received a very expeditious reply and a time to phone me was requested. When that time came, I received a phone call from a woman with a very pleasant and compassionate sounding voice. I told her I’d send a document that would explain my situation and she said she would review it and see if she’s a good fit. Within the hour I received an email stating that it wasn’t a good fit, in addition to giving me contact info for 3 firms that would be a good fit.
I had already been acquainted with one of the firms and I wrote her back telling her so. She responded back to me and reassured me I’d be in good company.
In all my years, I believe I've developed the ability to sense compassion and “good” in humans. In light of this, I can say that Kristen Jones is a great asset to her field and to the community. I would have not hesitated for a moment to retain her if she was the right “fit” for my case.

I only had an over-the-phone consultation with Edrik, but through that I was able to tell that he's an honest and capable lawyer. Whereas I suspect many lawyers may attempt to collect money from you as soon as possible, Edrik was forthcoming enough to give me sincere advice as to why I should or shouldn't hire a lawyer for my legal claim. I contacted Devin over 2 years ago because it was some false information put in my credit report which was denying me of getting a place to live. When the credit bureau found out that I had a lawyer (Devin) guiding me in the right direction, the negative impact on my credit report was immediately removed. I went on with my life but Devin was still on the case. After 2 years had gone by I get a surprising email from Devin stating that the company was ready to settle.
