After sustaining severe injuries in an accident, Chris was recommended by a mutual friend. Chris visited me in the hospital and although not in the right frame of mind to pursue a lawsuit, he started doing needed investigation for me and my family.
Once I began to heal and rehab, Chris and his assistant Aaron Sibley were very professional in eventually filing a personal injury lawsuit against the defendant. I was impressed with the compelling case that Chris presented on my behalf.
As a result of the case presented by Chris, we settled out of court with the defendant. I felt the final settlement was fair and compensated me for the severe trauma that I suffered.

This lawyer and his paralegal Pamela were amazing. They helped me when no one else would. I filed for chapter 13 in 2019 and I haven't looked back since. Nona is a true professional who walked me through all of the steps and made it so easy. I was so stressed financially and felt like I could never get ahead so that is why I explored chapter 13. I was in an auto accident March of 2016 that was 100% the fault of the other driver. I had minor injuries but annoying pain that will be with me for the rest of my life. Tired of being jerked around by the other insurance company for over a year, I made a few calls to see what my options were. 2 lawyers would not take my case due to a gap in medical care because of work travel. They predicted the case would go to trial and they were not trial lawyers. One of them referred me to Mr Babbitt and he took my case. Luckily we settled months before trial and my settlement (in my pocket) was well over 4x the last offer I received from the other insurance company. While going through a very nasty divorce (3 years and counting), my ex took control of my business and stopped paying all debt I co-signed for including community property debt. I was faced with the decision that nobody wants to make.... I had to file bankruptcy.
I met with numerous large, medium and small law firms. Most meetings were with either a sales person with little knowledge or a paralegal. Having done my own research, I quickly learned that each time I was given bad advise and pressured to "sign up before it's too late". I came across Brian via Avvo and scheduled a meeting. Expecting to meet with another sale person or paralegal, I was pleasantly surprised to meet with Brian himself. I kept him busy with question after question during a meeting that lasted almost an hour. He never rushed me or made me feel like I was wasting his time. In fact he kept asking if I had further questions for him. He seemed to like the rapid and numerous questions I kept throwing at him. He had answers to the questions nobody else did and knows bankruptcy law inside and out. Some other firms I met with told me I had to have my divorce finalized before I could file. However, Brian was the only one with the knowledge and expertise to get my Chapter 7 filed and discharged. My case was not a simple one as my ex attempted to block my discharge and I had numerous creditors due to my business and assets. However, Yuri and Brian got it discharged with no problem. Both Brian and Yuri are the only attorneys I would recommend. If you have a simple or complex bankruptcy, I would not recommend anyone other than Brian and Yuri. The entire law group couldn't have been better to deal with!
Don't waste your time like I did with bankruptcy "mills", sales people and paralegals. I simply can't say enough about how great Yuri and Brian are...... They will take good care of you!

I was unexpectedly served with an order preventing my son and I from moving across the country two days before our planned relocation. I was losing my mind and ended up through blind luck, with Mrs. McKeag as my attorney. From day one she calmed me down, always listened to me rant and rave, and was realistic with me as far as the possible outcomes. She never looked for a way to nickel and dime me and charge me for every possible thing she could have, and above all she made me feel like my son and I were her utmost priority, as opposed to being one of many cases on her plate.
She was realistic in what we should and should not do as far as filing motions. There were several times we could have taken a course of action that would have cost me thousands, yet had a very low chance of succeeding. We saw this when the opposing council took this route. When our court dates happened she was always prepared, always solid, and never once was caught unawares. She always took the high road, and always provided solid advice.
I honestly believe that if I had not her as my lawyer things could have turned out much differently no matter how in the right I was. She is the sole reason I won my move away case and was allowed to move across the country. She was able to read the judge and adjust her approach to the case on his rulings, and decisions in cases prior to ours being called. I would say this is one of her strongest qualities as opposed to a lawyer who just gets up and reads from a legal pad, or tries to stretch and twist circumstances to fit an altered version. I consider Mrs. McKeag a friend and will never be able to express my gratitude and what a phenomenal lawyer she is adequately enough through words. Her character is beyond reproach, and if I ever find myself in a position that I am in need of council, she will be my first call.

Since we didn't have much time, I called him the next day which was a Sunday while he was having family time and we spoke for several minutes. He could have easily told me to call back on Monday but Mr. Riznyk gave me a free consultation and I immediately knew he was my man. Life meaning immigration process for me, application for a green card on a base of marriage, tons of official paper work and steps ... the process didn't even started and you are already overwhelmed.
You know that even one section or answer being missed or not right in the applications and procedures, and your case will go 6-8 months late and can get even more seriously complicated.

John Kennedy from Lee Shome & Kennedy went above and beyond all my expectations, the contracts he’s formulated for me are not only bullet proof, but really a work of art. The attorneys who receive contracts from Kennedy always compliment (although it doesn’t come out as a ‘compliment’ lol) the level of detail and precision in his work. The fact that he’s on the younger side makes him really tackle a job to fullest extent, nothing goes unnoticed and everything is iron clad down to the littlest details. This case involved a highly visible commercial property wherein the tenant abandoned the property literally in the middle of the night owing substantial rent to two property owners who were related to each other. Tim had to navigate through this mess representing only one of the property owners (me), which most lawyers would avoid like the plague. Instead, Tim handled it all with a cool head when family drama rivaled anything I could have ever foreseen. I hired Mr. Tatro to help my company collect on a past due bill for our construction consulting services to a large national management company. From the very beginning he kept control. His personal involvement was instrumental in a complete payment with all interest.

Steve represented us in a very long drawn out eminent domain action vs the city. While we settled our case, our neighbor also was involved with the matter and his case went to trial. After 5 months, Steve prevailed against the city and their three lawyers. As a witness testifying in our neighbors case I was amazed at the level of detail, organization and understanding that the Steve commanded. Steve is an excellent communicator. In speaking, as in court, Steve is authoritative, assertive, polished and confident. In writing, in legal documents, Steve is an excellent wordsmith. I can't define what makes a good writer, but I know it when I see it. Steve's writing skills make boring legal docs come to life.
A good lawyer takes care of the details and deadlines-lets me sleep at night free of worry.
A good lawyer is emotionally invested in my case.
A good lawyer truly has my back.
A good lawyer is like the team captain.
Steve is all of these things and that's a comforting feeling.
What about the question of big firm vs. small firm? Freeland McKinley & McKinley is a small firm. However, you never feel isolated from the legal mainstream. Steve is very active professionally; always interacting with other lawyers. He has partners to bounce ideas off. And, of course, in this case, having a wife, Karen, as a partner is a real advantage. And then add an excellent paralegal, Melody, to the mix and you have a well-oiled machine.
So, you can tell that my wife and I are happy clients. It's difficult to try to appear not too biased when that's exactly what we are. We like our lawyer!

Mr. Malloy prepared a complete trust package for me, including a will and advance health care directive. I chose him because he was recommended both by colleagues and clients. I found him very easy and comfortable to work with. I was very satisfied with the work that he did.
He even makes housecalls for her elderly clients who find travel to his office difficult. Mr. Malloy works very well with clients, who due to their age or condition, are sometimes difficult (and crochety). He is very patient, answers all questions completely and returns calls very quickly. I have been very pleased with his help for my parents and my husband.
