I was injured in a car accident on April of 2011. I found George Najjar online randomly and boy was I glad that I did! George did everything he told me he would do for me and my case. I filed a wage claim against my previous employer and decided to hire an attorney for the labor board hearing. After speaking with several attorneys, I chose Ryan for his friendliness, intelligence, and broad knowledge of labor law. He also recognizes when he doesn't know something, and instead of making assumptions, he finds out the facts. I really enjoyed working with him as we developed the strategy for the hearing.
I also felt the amount of time he spent on the case, and therefore how much I was billed, was very reasonable. It was worth not only the peace of mind I had, but his presence there was instrumental to me winning my case.

Working with Ryan has been a great experience. He's extremely professional, diligent, and will not rest until the task at hand is complete. The day I entered this office I knew I landed in the right place. I was wrongfully terminated because I refused to allow the Resort I worked for to garnish my wages by illegally changing my time records. Thank you, Vent Legal! While in law school, I was hit by a car while riding my bike. My expensive bike and laptop were ruined, and I quickly racked up some chiropractic bills. A hired a "big shot" personal injury attorney who sat on the case for 2 years before getting disbarred. The deadlines for my case were expiring, and my claim was sinking faster than the Titanic. Sean allowed me to explain my case and its issues, outlined realistic goals, and quickly developed a plan to save my claim. I am the plaintiff in a pending new wrongful termination case. I am exceptionally well documented in my evidence against the defendant. So, when I 'shopped the case around' with several attorneys by phone & email, there was much interest.
But Mr Olsen showed much more than interest in my story; he was invested in it. He was genuinely aggrieved and indignant that my company had fired me after I caught management forging my inspector's stamp & signature on FAA certs. That was just what I wanted. I hired him immediately.

I wanted to take a moment and thank Ms. Schaffer for all that she did for me. She made a very difficult time so much easier. I was in a highly contentious, high income divorce. I am not Ms. Neumann’s client. But I can say she did a great job for her own client. Because she fought for a guy to win in DVTRO and get the shared custody. This is a guy who touched his 9 year old daughter during/after the shower and videotaped her while she was changing her clothes, and who withheld medication and night-guard from his 8 year old son, who developed migraine/headache and grinding teeth after DVTRO was filed. This does not even include what he did to his ex-spouse.

When I came to Sara I had hired and consulted another lawyer to handle a paternity suit that was sprung on me while I was visiting the USA after residing in another country. This was very difficult, as I could not leave the country with my child and go home to my husband and my child's stepdad (whom she views as her dad). I was very scared because I had single-handedly raised my child and I knew no one else should have the right to keep me from traveling anywhere, as this person had not even contributed to my child's birth or upbringing in any significant way.
But, that being said, the reality was such that I was being advised by my first lawyer that I should respond to the paternity suit with a move-away trial as I had barely missed dismissing the case with a jurisdictional claim.
I felt something was off though, because this case was so clear and cut (my ex was not on the birth certificate, he had not emotionally or financially supported me/the child in any significant way).
**I saw the light when I spoke to Sara. She confirmed my intuition with her expertise, immediately confirming that I indeed could file for a termination of parental rights. She lay my fears to rest. We met and I presented her with the facts of my case. After assuring me she would not take my case if she did not believe she could help me, I released my other lawyer from duty and hired her.
What a great decision!! She lived up to her reassurances: it took perhaps longer than the move away trial, which was inconvenient only due to my particular case of being in a country we no longer reside in, away from my husband and our new life abroad, yet so worth it so that, a) my husband could adopt my son; and, b) to get the ex out of our hair so that he could no longer make our lives difficult.
I had faced a lot of disempowering conversations amongst not only people, acquaintances, etc. but also lawyers: people discouraging me from doing the termination of parental rights just because it sounded "mean" and so "final" to them. I knew inside of me, however, that the way my ex was handling this was unhealthy and selfish towards my child, with a paternity suit (after I had tried SO many times to civilly settle for some kind of visitation, yet he disappeared whenever he wanted, was inconsistent, and really only looked after his own interests and not my son's, who needs consistency in his life) and not being agreeable to reaching some kind of settlement (other than keeping my child after he had NEVER had custody, ever, or even seen him more than a handful of times/hours in his years of life).
The point is--Sara empowered me. She never once questioned me, she backed me up 100% and was a strong ally. She understand completely what I wanted, why I wanted it, has a child herself and understood my protective feelings toward my child, that I was 100% committed to her best interest.
She did her job diligently. I knew I could count on her to show up at the court appearances, and made an uncomfortable situation even pleasant. She wrote the briefs in such a way that made complete sense to me. She has ample expertise on the topic of stepparent adoption and termination of parental rights. She knew a lot of the staff in the courts/ offices we were in, and they knew her. She was personable, kind, compassionate, prepared, in communication, easy to get a hold of. Her offices made it easy and pleasant to pick up/drop off documents.
Also, when I told her that I was looking to get budget-oriented towards the middle of the whole legal situation, she was so cooperative and helpful with this.
We won our case and just got word the appeal was dismissed as well.
Cannot recommend her enough if you are in this sort of situation. She certainly seems like *THE* lawyer to hire in any kind of similar situation. I recommend her fully.

I never imagined being in a situation where I needed to take such extreme measures in order to fight for my child's right to play outside our apartment complex. One day as my neighbor and I were supervising our kids, the on-site manager approached us told us that the kids could not be playing outside. She stated that our lease agreement indicated that kids were not allowed to play outside. We continued to allow our kids to play outside.
A few days later the on-site manager's husband went to my neighbor's and my apartment. He said we CANNOT continue to allow our kids to play outside. I asked him where he wanted the kids to play and his response was, "you are lucky we live right across the street from a park, so take him there." I couldn't believe what I was hearing! I decided to escalate it and give the management company a call because I knew they could not prohibit our children from playing outside. Boy was I wrong! The management company and the property owner supported the on-site manager. There were so many feelings that we were going through anger, alone, scared, the not knowing. We felt as we did and used everything in our power to try and to reach out to someone because we were crying out for help! How can managers get away with such a thing and allow them to feel like they have all the POWER in the world?
One day my neighbor received a 60 day notice to leave the apartment and we received a verbal threat that we were next. I did my research because I could not allow the managers to continue to intimidate us nor our children.
I reached out to a few attorneys and all they'd say was we "really" didn't have a case or that they can send the manager a letter. I felt as if the doors were shutting and that the manager may be right after all. When I Craig Fagan's website, I had tears in my eyes. My neighbor and I decided to give Craig a call. He is SUPER understanding, kind, family oriented and most important makes you feel like everything is going to be fine. If you talk to Craig, it is obviously because you have been discriminated and do not know what to do. All I can say is, fight for your right and stop allowing discrimination to continue. I was a client of craig and he settled the case in a timely manner and we were very happy with his knowledge. we were being discrimnated against for letting our daughter to play outside of the apartment the only time our daughter could be outside was if we were leaving to go somewhere which was becoming old very fast. I had a very complex case in San Diego , which required a lot of research, I received a letter from Dept. of Child Support saying I owed $80k, (from owing $0 Support ) I knew I had to get a lawyer right away to fight . I found that Ms. Scott was knowledgeable when it came to the custody case. Ms. Scott was always professional and genuinely cared about my dayghter and and myself. She was always informing me of the status of my case and different possibilites of the outcome. If I had questions I could call anytime and if she was not available she would call back as soon as she was able. Ms. Scott showed up to court dressed very professional and understood my wishes for custody. She would talk to me about an agreement and if the agreement was bad or not to my liking then she would voice that and not agree. Ms. Scott never pressered me to do or agree to anything, instead she recommended that before I would discuss anything to contact her. I had talked to a few lawyers in the area and all of them seemed to busy to sitdown and discuss my case, others would purse an expensive case.
