I was extremely happy with how Renee handled my case. I received my summons on a Friday evening just before the holidays. I reached out to Renee, and she got back to me immediately. Even on Friday evening before Christmas. She calmed me down and we met the following week to go over my case. She took action immediately and had answers for me within a week. If you have never been in any legal trouble it can be terrifying. Not only did Renee stay on top of my case and get things done in a timely manner, she took time to make sure I was okay and that every step she took had my permission. It felt amazing having her in my corner she is an incredible person and won my case for me with better results than I could have imagined. Mr. O'Halloran was referred to us by 2 other lawyers and he did not disappoint. My issue was a real-estate one, involving a not-so-amicable break-up and a co-owned house.
I spoke with five different lawyers before selecting one for my case, and Mr. Belong was the only one that I had a gut reaction telling me to hire him. In our initial consultation conversation he listened to everything I had to say, clearly took in all the information and gave me his opinions on what kind of case I had and how he would proceed. It was a really stressful situation for me but I felt an immediate sense of relief after hiring Mr. Belong because I could tell he not only knows his stuff, he is also caring and compassionate (not a hint of arrogance or self-importance).
Mr. Belong always took the time to hear me out and give me the best legal path forward. I could tell he wanted to get this done as quickly as possible with the best possible outcome for me – he was thorough yet efficient. Throughout the process he would discuss various approaches with me, listen to my thoughts on them, and would answer as many questions as I could throw at him. My mother and I went to Mr. Belong to help us with a dispute regarding a lien on my property and the refusal of my insurance company to take responsibility for their mistake in granting title without a thorough check for outstanding distresses on the property. Mr. Belong was the first attorney who listened to our problem, acknowledged our stress and anxiety and promptly began to help us find solutions. He appeared knowledgable of the applicable laws and ordinances as well as pragmatic in his actions. He was aware of our financial concerns and seemed like he genuinely wanted to help us. He took up our case the same day as our initial phone consultation on a Friday and the following Monday he was ready to begin sorting the situation out and researching the pertinent information. Of my dealings with lawyers in general, he seemed to be much more human and humane than I had experienced before and given the acute frustration I was going through, it made a big difference. I had a very complicated case that I presented to David Siegal. Many lawyers might have walked away from it, but David did not. He sat with me and heard my whole story. He drove to the scene of the accident with me and took many pictures of his own to better understand the incident. He really gave my case his attention and his time and it paid off in the end. The opposing side denied everything, and delayed everything over and over again, but David stuck with it and we won the case in the end. I would have gotten absolutely nothing if David Siegal hadn't represented me in my case and he far exceeded my expectations. I have and will continue to refer people to David. He really is a fantastic lawyer, and more importantly an honest and good hearted person.

I feel very lucky to have found Brandi Kurlander. She was a total LIFE SAVER.
I was in a car accident and after it I was suffering from terrible migraines and a lot of other pain. The insurance for the person who hit me kept calling day after day to talk to me after the accident. I was barely sleeping and they kept calling me when I was finally resting. I decided I needed someone else to deal with all of this, as I could not, and that is when I hired Brandi. Again, I feel very lucky to have found Brandi Kurlander. The calls stopped and she was on the case. Brandi and her staff kept me apprised at every step and I was allowed to do some healing.

I hired Ari to prepare an opposition brief due in 2 weeks in a trademark dispute in which he had no prior experience. Nonetheless, he quickly reviewed the Opening Brief, identified the relevant facts from the record, identified and analyzed the relevant law and prepared an outline of the key issues which formed the basis for the opposition brief. After reviewing and approving the outline, he efficiently prepared the draft brief which I then reviewed and approved with only minor changes. I believe that the opposition brief was extremely well done at a very reasonable fee (hours and rate). If Ari is capable of preparing a brief in an area with no prior experience in a limited time frame then I have no hesitation in recommending him for any briefing project. I had a very sensitive legal malpractice case involving my first lawyer stealing over 250,000 dollars from my settlement. (in addition to his previously negotiated retainer and costs.)
Point being, Richard was the most humbled and honest legal person I had come across in a dozen or so interviews, i thought after meeting this man that, Hmmm maybe after roughly 45 years in practicing law this man knows what he's talking about... If settlement is not an option because opposing counsel is bent on litigating, she will zealously litigate for her clients; as she did for us. We really enjoyed working with Jenny. She was a calming presence in the middle of our chaos. She always came prepared, provided prompt responses and gave us reliable advice. Hello, my name is Christopher A. Ackerman. In 2013 I was having horrendous back pain than pretty much immobilized me, until one day, I was completely, and permanently immobilized. Paralyzed from the belly button down, or T-9. I was laying in bed in the hospital at Scripps-Mercy Hospital, in San Diego, CA, and knew I needed a lawyer. I consulted a referral service, who highly recommended Norman M. Finkelstein, who came right to my hospital room. We had discussed a few possible outcomes for my case, if everything went well, and I hired him. Boy am I glad I did!
Well here we are, at the part where we had discussed outcomes. Our bottom line that we set, in our discussion, Norman was able to beat by 30%. In addition, my medical has all been accounted for, as well as all of my medical equipment.
I can now look forward to living my life being cared for by the best of hands. I can buy a nice little house, and live my life in comfort. Norman Finkelstein gave me my life back, and also has become a good friend to me. We are on a first name basis, Facebook friends, and laugh and joke, all the time.

I have had more issues with my driving record then I would like. I have gone to court myself and had different people represent me in court. Scott was the best, I didn't have to do anything. He kept me informed at all times. I wish I would have known him in my earlier years. I would recommend him. I was issued a citation for over 85 , the officer also stated he had me on Radar. I did have my radar detector on so I know I was not clocked at the speed , but I have tried to fight it on my own before and lost. He as able to get the case dismissed, I kept my license, added no points, and never had to go to court. The process was drug out for over a year and a half due to courts backed up and he did not charge me any extra for the extra time spent since that part was out of my control.

We hired Ms. Stratton to assist us with a contractor we hired to remodel our home. They tried to serve us a bill nearly 50% more than our original bid. This is not an unusual practice when it comes to home building, but these guys were hiding costs and doubling time and supplies unnecessarily. We were unable to see how they were coming to the amount of the final bill. Ms. Stratton took our case and reviewed all the documentation of the remodel, such as change orders, how they were provided, how they calculated their hours and supervision and, through her expertise, brought transparency and clarity to our case. She ended up uncovering change orders that were not written correctly or given to us in a timely fashion per the law. She also discovered that we were being billed at a 300% mark up over our original contract vs. doubling the cost and time as how the billing should have been done. We wouldn't have been able to successfully dispute these charges without her expertise in the laws of business. She maintained professionalism and respect for all sides during our dispute. We were very impressed by her and would highly recommend her.

From my first meeting with Michele I felt that she had my best interest at heart. She is obviously a consummate professional with scrupulous attention to detail. Katina was wonderful. She kept me informed as to the progress of my case. She is not only a knowledgeable professional, but a kind and patient person. Her support helped me get through more than a few frustrating times.

Divorce can be a terrible stressful experience. It can be compounded by a lack of timely response. I did not feel the delays in this case had anything to do with this team. If you are looking for a family law attorney, look no further than Lesa Christenson and the team at ABC Family Law. I worked with her for about a year and a half in a very contentious custody battle. She is not only compassionate and deeply invested, but she also has the experience and sharp legal mind to get you good results. I would be happy to have her in my corner against any San Diego attorney in trial. She is well spoken, knowledgeable and a force to be reckoned with in court.
I found her at all times to put the needs of my child, and myself above her own interests - she tried to save me money wherever possible, and delegated lighter tasks to her associates to keep the fees lower. She does not blow smoke - she is a realist and will tell you her honest assessment- good, bad or ugly. I always felt well informed of my options and in control of the process.
I quickly found out that there are a couple different ways that attorneys operate in family law. Some use "shady" tricks or try to skirt the law. This is not the way Lesa and her team operates. You can be assured that they will represent you with integrity and do things the right way. I do believe that the sharp difference in approach by my attorney and that of opposing counsel was a helpful factor throughout the proceedings.

We weren't sure what to expect because there was so much debt we needed to deal with. They told us at Victor Huerta offices that Chapter 7 Bankruptcy was for us. I was assigned Ms Cutter from the San Diego County Public Defender's Office, 450 B Street, San Diego. I had a very complex criminal case. She read the entire 2,000 thousand++ page file within a few days and knew it inside out, every little detail. I told her she needed to prepare for trial because I was not taking any plea deal. She diligently worked my case for 18+ months and we finally went to trial. Ms Cutter was so prepared it blew my mind. If you are assigned Ms. Cutter from the San Diego PD's office you can THANK your lucky stars. No one is better than her, inside the PD or outside of it. If I were paying her a market rate for my defense it would have run into the high six/low seven figures.

I had 7 felonies charged against my record; she was able to plea me down to just 1 and that would be expunged within 1 year. No time served except the 7 days awaiting arraignment and just a little communuity service. Other attorneys I asked were hoping the BEST they could do is get me on work duty for 1 year. Alex is absolutely amazing. He has been working on my divorce case since January, when I fired my second attorney. Alex picked up very quickly, initially his retainer was reasonable but not extremely cheap, however as things went on it was clear he was certainly not charging me in the same fashion as my second lawyer, and even quite better than my first lawyer.
In my experience, Alex is not the type to charge you for one three minute e-mail a 15 minute fee, beware of lawyers doing that! I felt Alex will combine multiple short e-mails into one 15 minute fee, and frankly with me at this point I don't even think he's charging me that. The same goes for phone calls, and he will get back to you in reasonable time.
What impressed me most about Alex is this, if he did not know the answer to something, he would tell me he did not know and he would tell me he would not charge me for researching it to find out that answer. He spent his own time looking up things he didn't know not charging me so he could practice law! You know how amazing that is these days with a lawyer. Alex went on to say that he liked my case because it had a little bit of everything and he could learn from it. My previous experience was people not checking on anything and telling me bad information. Especially my first lawyer, she would use words like that's my understanding. Why am I paying her 200+ an hour to tell me that's my understanding.
It is my opinion that I can assure you nothing like that would ever happen with Alex Zarin.
Alex took over just before the MSC, he immediately found a change in the law regarding military retired pay that my second lawyer did not pick up on. The change was crucial, thank you Alex. So all the advice I was receiving on that issue from the previous attorney was based on outdated information, Alex is that good, he picked up on the change in hours and I spent over 5000 on my previous attorney for outdated information on that issue.
Alex is the first lawyer of the three who I felt truly cared about my situation, he did not judge me, or perhaps judged me the way an old friend from your crazy days would, for sure we clicked.
Trust me, you want Alex on your side. I've had three lawyers on this case. The others only cared about the money, spewed out bad fax, and didn't bother to look things up charging me for everything they could. Alex is extremely smart. He can look at bank statements and other items and put things together, trace things back, he is sharp and quick like I've never seen. In the MSC he did not let anything get by, and was able to enter into the agreement that the parties agreed spousal support did not meet the marital standard, he worked it in last minute, a very good thing to have in the agreement from my point of view making modification more difficult.
If I had met him in the beginning, before I had spent approximately $17,000 on the first two attorneys, I would have saved a fortune and come out much better off. From my heart I truly believe that to be true. Take my advice, if he's available hire him.
