Margaret is a phenomenal lawyer who is both exceedingly knowledgeable and passionate about the field of special education law. I can think of few individuals who are as dedicated to helping students and who have such a depth of understanding in the complexities of special education law as applies to helping our children get the help they need from the school system. Either before a problem develops through education and collaboration with school staff and IEP teams or after something has gone wrong and parents feel that they need to bring in someone who can give them the additional support to have a voice as a full and equal member of their child's IEP team. She does not let the child's needs fall through the cracks or blindly ignore parent concerns. For those reasons alone, I would pick her as my lawyer and advocate - all the better that she has such a depth of legal knowledge and experience.

Grace (Grachielle) is extremely patient, attentive, fair, knowledgeable and caring. What more could you want from an attorney?
She dealt with my immigration, and was invaluable. I was a nervous wreck the whole time worrying about the situation as I was running out of time to extend my H-1B beyond 6 years, but Grace was always on hand to answer questions (on the phone or email), and offer supportive advise.

Hi, I fully recommend Attorney Stone because of his in depth knowledge and vast experience. I came across to this law firm when I needed miserably and ASAP. I found this law firm in google and then checked the web page. There I found that Attorney Stone has huge experience in civil litigation of all the types I know which include the international exposure. I came across to many well ranked lawyers around (some were above 9 in avvo.com) but after meeting him, I was confident that this is what I should go with. The best quality I will say is that he is responsive and when not in trial we can always reach to him either by phone or mail. You will never feel alone. Secondly, he will tell you how judge will look in this matter so we know where we are. Thirdly and most important, he was so kind to grant me the flexible plan for payment which was not much seen in many law firms around specially in San Diego. Michael Sullivan was hired to help me with an Unlawful Detainer action against me by my overzealous girlfriend. He calmed me down, told me what the process was about, told me likely outcomes, kept in touch and let me call him to message or speak immediately. He was knowledgeable and any small details he was unclear on, he checked out and called me back. I was really nervous and he explained that most people are and that he was glad I contacted him early on in the process. Some people don't contact him until the Sheriff has put them on the lawn. He assessed the situation after a few weeks of verifying paperwork and speaking with me and then gave me a plan of action that he thought I should consider. I pretty much asked a lot of questions about his judgement and he was comfortable and forthcoming about the wherefores and the whys. Michael was very patient in helping me get through a difficult separation with my ex. He explained things clearly and said, "no question is a dumb question." I was pretty shook up and he guided me through all the details, with PROMPT follow-ups to any issues left unresolved. He let me know where his boundaries were legally while doing everything he could to give me above-and-beyond service. My case involved an eviction (retaliatory) and a dismissed Unlawful Detainer action against me. He was competent and let me know what decisions were mine and did a fine job explaining the "weight" of various variables and, if asked, he gave me his opinion promptly. He kept a "big picture" while letting me know what individual items were most important. His only drawback is that he knows the law so well and he thinks so fast, that he speaks very quickly sometimes. But he doesn't mind repeating until I get it clearly. Thanks Michael.

We literally got SCREWED and taken advantage of by a car dealership. Hawk and his firm reviewed my auto loan contract and paid attention to detail and recommended a course of action to take when we were out of hope. He always got back to us in a timely manner, and fought hard for our rights. He definitely under promised in the beginning, and over delivered on the results. I could not have asked for a better out come. We ended up settling w/ the dealership's attorneys earlier this year. Our headache and horrible experience w/ the dealership was definitely rectified, but would not have been possible without his help. I have recommended him to other people to have their contracts reviewed, so they do not get taken advantage of.

I retained Warren Treisman in November 2019 because I was injured in a car accident. As I had never been injured in a car accident before, he far exceeded my expectations. He and his office staff went above and beyond to help me through the process. His staff was extremely kind, friendly and supportive and they were very helpful in answering all of my questions.
Mr. Treisman kept in close communication with me and explained everything in terms that I could understand. He is very thorough and knowledgeable and, above all, he is honest, ethical, and dedicated. This is a very belated review because I was Mr.Hom's client some 20 years ago, and of course at that time there was no internet nor a site like AVVO. My case at that time was very difficult and I already had engaged another immigration attorney who worked on my case for many years with no satisfactory result but cost us lots of money; even with all that money and effort I was on my way out of the country. So at the eleventh hour and at my uncle's suggestion we came to see Mr.Hom. He was (and still is I'm sure) extremely knowledgeable, professional, and handled my case with great care. Mr.Hom was able to achieve the impossible for me in just a few months (basically he resolved the problem for me that my other attorney said was very slim in chance). It is no exaggeration to say that my life changed completely for the better because of what Mr.Hom was able to do. Now, the law changes, the facts and the circumstances are different for everyone so what happened to me may not happen to you, but I would encourage you to at least consult with Mr.Hom, he will honestly tell you what he can or cannot do and he really is one of those very few ethical attorneys. No one asked me nor paid me to write this review, the reason I still remember Mr.Hom is because of what he did for me, so I think I owe him this review.

He is not like other lawyers out there that tell you he can do everything...and he doesn't make promoises...cause he always said to me "I can not promises you your case will get approved by Immigration because I am not the Immigration, however, I can promised you I will do my best and use my knowledge and expierence to help you with your case"......I've gone to see few attorneys, but he is the first lawyer that actually willing to spend time with me listen to my problems and explaining to me what the law is and what will be my best options if I need his help to do my case. Before Atty. Hom, there was another attorney that I've hired to do my case and every time I try calling this lawyer he was always too busy to talk to me and when leaving messages he will never call you back.....the only time he calls is when he wants to charge me more money....I am so happy and thankful to my friend for introduce Atty. Hom to me...over the years I have also introduce Atty. Hom to my friends and family members to do their case and I've also notice from over the years that most of Atty. Homs clients came to see him is "word-of-mouth" and not some big advertisements that says "WE PROMISED WE CAN GET YOUR CASE APPROVED BY INS"...I mean who are they to make such promises??? If Atty. Hom can not do your case, he will tell you why he can not do it...he will not take your money first and later tell you he can not do it....he is honest and stright forward no talking nonsense kind of lawyer......I am certain you will be pleased with his work and as for me is money well spent and great investment for my whole family......

Received bad news from USCIS about my wife and son’s case. Received NOID for family petition. Contacted Joshua Altman in October 2021 prepped all the necessary docs submitted in early January and got approval noticed in early February 2022. Josh handled our case and reviewed our case very thoroughly so there’s no reason for the missing items. Very detailed oriented and always reply to your email and text even after hours.
