I reached out to a number of different attorneys before retaining Jeffrey Marquart. When explaining the details of my accident most were not interested due to nature of the case or never returned my calls.
Not only did Jeff return my call, he spent about 35 to 40 minutes on the phone with me and answered every question I had asked. During the initial office consultation, he was not only extremely knowledgeable in product design defects but also extremely professional and friendly putting my wife and I completely at ease.
I had never retained an attorney prior to this nor had I ever been involved with any type of other legal matter, so I was very unsure and apprehensive of what I should expect. Jeff was very clear in laying out our expectations related to the general procedure, time frame, possible outcome, etc...
During the complete process, Jeff kept us informed with regular updates as each step progressed though the process and what we should expect next.

I had a medical malpractice case with Martha Taylor. I was extremely pleased with her and her staff. Obviously if you are in need of an attorney in this area of law, something has gone terribly wrong. Our case involved a minor and Martha was very conservative in her spending on expert witnesses medical experts toxicologist etc. That approach gave more money to the client after all involved were paid. All lawsuits take time sometimes years and even though our case presented special challenges she persevered and continued to Persue the best possible outcome. I found her assistant to be quick with call backs and extremely helpful with the sometimes daunting and hard to understand paperwork. I hope this review has been helpful to anyone researching miss Taylor as a potential hire for your malpractice case.

Dean took on my challenging personal injury case after four other 'highly rated' attorneys declined to represent me. He acknowledged that it would not be easy yet, he was willing to fight for me against the odds. He cared about me as a person, not merely as a client. I felt vindicated when his tireless efforts and ingenious presentation of our supporting evidence (ironically, the same 'evidence' the police reviewed and retained on file to support their own erroneous conclusions) ultimately convinced the heavyweight opposing counsel to relent and settle. I do not believe another attorney could have achieved the same result. I never needed a lawyer until I was rear ended and it was so clear cut who was at fault I thought I was able to handle it myself but after about a year I decided it was too much stress work and hassle so I shopped around and I was looking for the lowest price attorney which I think was Brett and I'm glad I found him so down to earth humble and a great office environment because it's just basically him and the secretary you will deal with which is very comforting well he handled everything made all the Timely calls and appointments even offering us rides when we needed it. He's such a nice guy but knows the law even the other side likes him. Lots of experience I would use him again and recommend him highly. He's the type of lawyer that you would want to be friends with afterwards. We ended up settling in mediation so I didn't get a chance to see him go to trial which would be a good idea to do if you can before you hire him. Has a very nice office location that's very reassuring and in a nice location. Be sure to go to Pho Xpress right around the corner for a good meal at a reasonable price. So if you ever need a lawyer don't handle it yourself it's a waste of time and one more thing about Brett is you get the feeling he is not a crooked lawyer which is a plus when you are in the right! And the top it all off and I'm not implying it may happen to you but maybe because I was such a good client and we did a lot of the paperwork to a degree he even gave me a percentage of his settlement probably because of the pain and suffering I had to go through and how tight the other side was which was Allstate Insurance. Another reason I was blessed to find him by happenstance was because I was looking for a lawyer who was near me and he was also he always return phone calls right away and emails and he communicated very thoroughly and patiently from the beginning to the end not like some lawyers who are so friendly in the beginning to get you to sign with them but then afterwards they are more colder but not Brett he was very professional and kind to the end. San Diego is blessed to have him living here helping us get a fair trial, Justice and compensation for our pain and suffering. And if I was to share some advice I would say don't use your own credit cards on different doctors like I did searching all over for a cure because the other side will not settle soon enough and you have so many fees and interest that my credit is ruined. I I would recommend just send one group of doctors and just have one bill and that based on contingency of a settlement that would have resulted in so much less stress and problems in my life. There is a really nice place in Hillcrest call fix body group and they handle everything there I went there and should have stayed there to my healing was complete which it never was but then again I had to do a bunch of injections and Kaiser really did me right but they couldn't feel the pain short of major surgery to replace my neck bones with screws and pieces of metal. But now I heard they have new treatment where they will take a cadavers bone and if it's a match can fix your neck which I may still do in the future. Anyways don't drink and drive or get distracted by the radio your cell phone or any other sightseeing please just look ahead all the time and do not tailgate and be prepared for for a car to stop at anytime even on the freeway in the middle of the day in perfect weather. There's no need to speed or tailgate if you do you risk much pain and suffering for yourself or others and in the end it only saves you a few minutes better to be safe than sorry and an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure. You will get there when you get there life is too short to have to go through it with pain for the rest of your life!

I have been working the phone the past few days in a attempt to get legal advise and hire a lawyer. The last several offices I called either did not answer their calls or had a receptionist take a message only to never hear from them again. The one or two who did answer my call either had no interest or did not practice in the area I required. Neither offered any advise or a referral. Then I got lucky and gave Brett Peterson a call. Brett did not practice in the area I needed however he spent the last 15 minutes, giving me referrals and advice on how to proceed forward. I appreciate and value Bretts honesty and advise. Attorney Stormoen is one of the smartest attorneys I know. I have watched him spot issues and solve major problems instantaneously. It's amazing and the one thing you want when it comes to dealing with legal transactions. The other thing about Attorney Stormoen is he is literally mesmerizing at trial. We hired Ron Stormoen to help in a lawsuit in which my previous employers of 30 years were essentially trying to seize our retirement by reneging on the ownership they promised us early in the relationship. It was extremely important to us to receive justice and this money we had earned over our careers. Ron had faith in us and took our case. He smartly and successfully litigated our case and the jury found 12-0 verdicts in our favor on almost all questions. We won both the breach of contract cause of action as well as the intentional misrepresentation fraud case. I wish this had never turned into a lawsuit, but in the end I was extremely satisfied with the results. In addition, all throughout the case, Ron showed integrity and a commitment to the truth – he never was deceitful and played by the rules. While it is extremely satisfying to win, it is even better to do so without compromising ones’ ethics. I would hire Ron again (although I hope I never have to.) Good luck in your pursuit for justice!

Like many unfortunate Americans, I too fell hard on economic times with job and home loss. With limited income the collection calls immediately poured in followed by civil court judgements from credit card companies and their collectors. I was sunk, both financially and mentally. I felt trapped. Depression soon set in along with fear. Fear of the unknown, being served, garnished wages and additional court judgements. When I made that difficult decision to file BK7 I was referred to Anthony and he honestly did an AMAZING job handling my case. I am so grateful for that referral. I couldn't have asked for a better representative. After filing and making a brief appearance before the BK Trustee (which isn't as frightening as you think especially with Anthony by your side), my case closed and my BK was discharged a couple short months later. I was having problems with getting correct information from my Insurance Carrier after a Non-Insured Drunk Driver T-boned my car. As soon as Justin was hired, the Insurance company was more co-operative with giving information about my case. I hired Alex Comely in 2013 to make an appearance at a hearing on a Demurrer. At the time, I was self represented, against CitiMortgage for damaging personal property. I had a very, very tricky Personal Injury ("slip and fall") case that my own attorney eventually rejected. It's got a lot of risk, it involves attorney-expense, time, etc. It's against a Major Bank who vigorously defends such claims, etc. For so many reasons it's WRONG for the top attorneys in this field.
Many or most who either hung-up on me or didn't call back, write back, acknowledge receipt of previous attorney's Demand Letter, etc. Even my own attorney was very lukewarm and unable to give this much time. I understood and understand it all. The fact that an attorney showed interest at all buoyed my surgery and necessary physical rehab, which took a good six months just to again walk. So either way I won, either way this turned out well because I'm walking again, in the gym, exercising, etc.
Attorney Katz was just awesome in that he spent some time on the phone (despite being busy and involved in at LEAST one other trial). Returned all calls. If he said and says he'll call he does and did. I was just amazed at the Class-Level given the fact this Slip-and-Fall case is not an attractive proposition. I knew when my first attorney said he's bailing that it was a one-shot thing, a Demand Letter then everyone go home. People have to make a living, pay the rent, it has to make sense for these top guys.
From what I understand, Attorney Katz is about as "Tops" as it gets. My first attorney was SURPRISED
to hear Attorney Katz expressed ANY interest. (thought maybe I misunderstood or had wax in my ears).
He said REALLY, Richard M. KATZ returned a call on this - wow - did Attorney Katz SEE the Demand Letter?! Which just shows how other attorneys in this field regard Attorney Katz - as the top of the top.
I'm writing this because I just got off the phone with Attorney Katz.
He AGAIN called back (each time I'm shocked), this is THIRD time even though he senses/knows there's nothing very strong - or unusual - or favorable about my position.
Which is okay, as written I recovered, I'm well, I'm exercising again - as written the THOUGHT there might be compensation for a difficult year BUOYED my rehab, at least gave me some hope.
So Attorney Katz, just wanted to come here, reflect on what a class guy you are - and how anyone needing a top Los Angeles-Pasadena-Glendale-based attorney should first consult you.
I'm really in awe in light of the response from the others - and my respect for you knows no bounds.

If you are looking for an attorney, I HIGHLY recommend Tony Stuart. I cannot say enough good things about Tony Stuart and his work and knowledge of the law. I hired Mr. Stuart a few years ago to take on a large insurance company that I wanted to sue for fraud, misrepresention, et cetera. Tony took on my case and I was so impressed with his work, his diligence, and the way he worked with me and explained things to me. He found out amazing things in his investigations and worked hard for me. We settled out of court and Tony got me $1.7 million!
If you want a good, competent, no-nonsense, no BS attorney, I suggest you call Mr Stuart, and I say this not only as his client, but as a court reporter. I have been a deposition/court reporter in this town for over 20 years and I can say without hesitation that Mr. Stuart is one of the better attorneys I have seen get the job done.
