I recently engaged the services of Mr. MARCUS for my child’s case and, unfortunately, my experience did not meet the expectations set by other reviews. While I appreciate Mr. MARCUS's expertise in the field, I felt that the representation provided was not aligned with my child’s best interests, which was concerning and disappointing. It seemed there was a bias that did not favor a fair outlook for my child's situation.
I would encourage Mr. MARCUS to ensure that the representation of all parties' interests, especially those of minors, is balanced and fair in future cases. This feedback is intended to be constructive and I hope it will be taken into consideration.

Scammers. They had me pay all of the money they were charging me for my case then claim that their business was closing because the owner had “cancer” and I couldn’t get my money back WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY.

I was uncomfortable from the first time I walked into the office. I felt like I was in the middle where they just grind out bankruptcies. I was not happy about filing a bankruptcy but it needed to be done. In the meantime things went from bad to worse my son died and I was in the hospital for a month. When I told them I really wanted to go with a different firm one of their employees told me that they would keep me in court to use all the money. I was talking about small claims court. She was almost yelling at me. I’m thinking about making a complaint with the state attorney board. But I warn you right now stay away from them. I am shortly going to be 74 years old. And the way she yelled at me it was almost elder abuse. I believe their shysters. And due to my failing health. I’ve been delayed and filing a small claims court. To my knowledge you cannot be represented by an attorney in small claims court. But apparently their employee thought differently. Beware

I am so grateful that I found Joshua Fabian at Boyd Law to represent me as my lawyer for my restraining order case, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. What stood out to me the most was his kind, warm, and empathetic personality. I had a very bad experience with Nicole Stednitz. She misrepresented my legal situation in order to get my business. After receiving a favorable order prior to having met her, she told me to file for a trial that took away my favorable orders, costing over $16,000 when she promised it would be under $2500 and which I later found out should never have been filed.
She also charged hundreds for driving to the courthouse. For example, for one 15-minute hearing she arrived both late and unprepared to, she charged 4.1 hours. In small claims court where she sued to recover all of her inflated billing, she argued the 4.1 hours included her travel time and didn’t dispute the hearing itself took 15 minutes. Unfortunately, the judge awarded her the full amount. I’ve had other family law attorneys and was not prepared for a large percentage of attorney fees to go to traveling as none of my other attorneys charged for their travel, let alone more than the hearing itself.
Also, each email costs 20% of her billable hour, even if it is one word. One email I sent had an attachment for which she charged hundreds of dollars for reviewing even though she didn’t seem to be familiar with what I had emailed her. Between emails and transportation, my retainer drained quickly each month and needed replenishing, without seeing any real progress in my case.
I disputed her overcharges, didn’t hear from her for over three years until she suddenly sued me in small claims court charging thousands in interest the judge threw out but unfortunately, she got away with a lot I dispute is owed to her. She didn’t seem to care about me or my child and situation, but only about billing unreasonably. I personally regret hiring her and the bad outcome her representation resulted in.

Bait and switch! I filled out and submitted a form for a free consultation on my wife and I's immigration case and then two weeks later they emailed me saying there was no free consultation and that it would cost $400.00 to talk to an attorney for any sort of evaluation/consultation. Not only is this rate upwards of double or even higher that of most attorneys in the field, it clearly states on their website that they offer free consultations and they don't. False advertisement!

After being married for 14 1/2 years and having two teenage boys divorce is extremely complicated. I met with three attorneys, Ross Meltzer being the third. We got started by just talking for about 20 minutes and I appreciated his relaxed warm style. I was hesitant as he is young but I read some reviews which interested me, and sure enough I am thankful I did find and choose him.
He helped me navigate a very tricky situation and in the end I could not be more happy with the judgment ordered. I thought I knew what I was doing in handling it my self and quite frankly did not want to fork over a few thousand dollars to hire a lawyer. What I paid Ross is literally a small fraction of what I would have lost had I not had his insight. His fees are very reasonable and I never felt "on the clock". The amount he asked for up front was more than I expected, but he did not ever ask me for a dime more, nor did I ever feel that he favored getting paid over helping me and my children have the best outcome.
The future of my and my children lives is so much better off thanks to his insights, and expertise. I have completely regained the ability to take care of and raise my children in a safe, happy, and healthy environment.

Ross is an extremely good lawyer. His fees are reasonable and he knows what he is doing. He took care of a custody case that had been started by another attorney but the other attorney botched it up big time. I live out of state and Ross excelled at both keeping me informed as to what was going on and was always available to answer my questions, even after hours. He was 100% honest with me and was a complete professional. I highly recommend him and will use him again should the need arise.

Tracy was a pleasure to work with. Cases involving children are difficult and emotional; she remained professional and honest and didn't over promise results. Tracy was a Godsend during my divorce that lasted a year and a half. The amount of stress that's involved in going through a divorce alone is so draining and mine, involved my daughter which was even more stressful. My ex was extremely unreasonable and would not cooperate with any decision which delayed the process even longer. Tracy Willis took on our termination of parental rights and step parent adoption case. She was so knowledgeable, devoted, and did what ever she could to see that our case was resolved. Unfortunately our case had gone very south and the outcome wasn't what anyone expected, but Tracy didn't stop there. She contacted multiple appellant attorneys and had a plan of action in just a few days. We ended up winning the appeal case and they granted our petition, but Tracy never lost contact through the process and was always invested. I can't thank her enough. I had a horrible custody and child support battle with my ex-wife. Attorney Lindsey truly came to my rescue. I submitted incorrect information that was jeopardizing my chances to even see my children. I called her and was honest from the beginning that I could not afford her regular fees. I told her that I was just taking a random chance that she may help me as an attorney by taking me on at pro bono or reduced rate. She was super nice . She was talking to me for 30 minutes and empathized with my situation and we laughed about some things we had in common. Before we got off the phone , she told me she’d be in touch shortly to discuss “next steps !” I was very clear with her that I had a hearing later that afternoon and that my case was time sensitive . She said not to worry that she’d help me. I waited and waited - no call. I called her after a few hours , Bht no answer. Finally I ended up going to my hearing , not having heard anything from her at all. I was really taken aback as she assured she’d help me. I called her from my google voice number , wondering if she was avoiding me. Sure enough , she picked up. But what was shocking was she acted like I had done something wrong and acted like I was somehow a random person she’d never
Spoken to. Luckily toward the last 10-12 min of the 30 min call I’d had with her earlier, where she’d been 180 degree different and nice, the maintenance man was fixing something
In my apartment. I had been in the kitchen when I spoke to her, while he was

I asked him if he recalled me talking to someone and being already on the phone when he first came in ( I have given authorization for maintenance to enter without me having to open door or be home) and he said yes, he did remember . I asked him if the conversation sounded weird or bad as I talked from what he could hear from my end of the call. I was doubting myself with how Julia responded to me as she answered the phone. He said that he didn’t hear anything that sounded

In any case , I’m not sure if there is an identical twin , an alternate personality or what it was . But her behavior was concerning. She left me hanging after I had counted on her and was waiting for her to follow through. My suspicion is that she communicated with minors counsel on my case, likely violated confidentiality and
Minors counsel has already violated confidentiality by disclosing and sending a previous case we had that was sealed, and sending documents to parties that had no right to view it. She’s under investigation by California bar attorney regulation. I’m reporting Julia to the same board for this. Her lack of professionalism was a hindrance to my case. She didn’t even have the decency to inform me she would not follow through. She instead left me waiting for her, never having the courtesy to let me know so I would not have wasted my time.

My ex filed a restraining order against me based on false claims and somehow the order was erroneously granted by a judge prior to a hearing. I desperately needed a family law firm to help me through this situation as my career had been jeopardized. I decided to call Bressman Family Law after seeing great yelp reviews. While other firms would have assistants call me and give me boilerplate answers to my concerns, Julia was the only one to give me a call directly and give me advice during my free consultation. She immediately started to run through strategic ways she would handle my case. I felt heard. I hired Bressman Family Law firm and in turn was provided with great service by Julia and Andrew. They're both very knowledgeable lawyers and experts in their field. They were aggressive in their tactics and they were able to settle my case outside of court which saved me money in the long run. Julia and Andrew worked outside of regular hours and dedicated a lot of time and effort into my case; sometimes even late into the night. I hope never to have to use them again! But if needed, I know they will get the job done.

The representation that i received from the legal team at this firm. has set the bar for times to come. When going into litigation or court it is a nervous matter on all of us, with Ms.Powers in your corner you aren't just getting by far the best representation I believe I have ever received but you are also given an explanation throughout what ever process that is going on in the court. Her legal team are quick to respond and are eager and will to help you understand daunting tasks that lie ahead. After our initial consult, we had decided not to file and potentially waste my money dealing with my high conflict ex because the risk was too high. At the end of the day, he ended up filing. Athina did not shy away from the challenge. She understood exactly the type of person we were dealing with. First off, no one asked me or suggested I write a favorable review for my former Attorney Claire Lightner (pause to raise right hand and solemnly swear). This is just a small token of my appreciation for her taking on my train wrecked case, knowing that there would be no big pay out at the conclusion. The other reason I'm writing this review is for those conducting their due diligence in seeking a strong female divorce attorney who is scrupulous, smart, and a true advocate. (I went through 3 attorneys prior to finding Claire, two of which were women and neither one held a candle to Claire.) I know that's a big statement and I wouldn't say it if it weren't true - especially after the WAR I went through (4 years) in total. After my horrific experience with the painfully slow family court system, and attorneys (1 especially who represented me for 9 months who truly earned the rep that most attorneys are blood suckers), I felt folks should know that there is an attorney I would recommend and I'm sure other clients of Claire's would as well. My only regret is I found her so late in my case that much of it was not repairable. That said, she fought hard to right the ship as best as she could and I and my children will be forever grateful. Claire and her paralegal Dorothy work well as a team and are meticulous with details. Expect nothing but sheer professionalism, don't expect hand holding, a shoulder to cry on or therapy (not that they aren't sympathetic), they are, but they are not about wracking up billable hours - which is a good thing! They stick to facts and the law and present them in a clear and convincing way. Advice or consults are good as well - if you want to start there. I feel Claire is honest in her reaction in hearing the details of the case and also predicts an honest scenario of expectation too. Even if it's not best case for you or what you hoped to hear. Now that I think is the mark of TRUE professional with morals and values! In the more often than not ugly divorce business, I think that's really something. Good luck!

Since the beginning, I noticed his constant awareness of what is legal and what is not. His friendlinesss and willingness to help others made him a very respected member of this Metropolitan Los Angeles community where I used to be his neighbor.

Back in '97-'98, I remember this confused adolescent of Russian descent, who lived with his mother in the same building with me and Ronn. His shaved head, tattoos and gang-like attitude were indicative of his misguided approach in life.
