In my opinion she doesn't even deserve one star, but it's required. I was very naive to the divorce world and looked for someone who was professional and specialized in high asset cases. I counted on Myra and her firm to guide me through the process which never happened, and when I asked questions, she was always dismissive, short and demeaning in her delivery. I often felt helpless, and felt it was more important for her to bill me than support me. I paid 10's of thousands of dollars to her firm to fight for me, but when it came down to it, she misled me into believing that I would get a fair settlement, but then sat quietly and left me to fend for myself during mediation, leaving me with much less than expected. She then demanded immediate payment of the balance of her attorney fees to be paid by the end of the day, after agreeing to a payment plan, and then abruptly withdrew as my attorney of record. I would never recommend anyone to this firm and this experience has caused me to lose faith in the justice system!

In the end, it came down to the fact that I had a much better attorney. More organized. More proactive and knowledgeable. And dare I say it, more aggressive. Divorce is like whack a mole. Consulting Ethan Tidwell was an absolute godsend during my complex divorce case that involved the nightmare complexities of custody issues, finances, and an abusive/vindictive ex-spouse who falsely spread accusations about me during the divorce in an attempt to secure sole custody and leave the state with my children. And prevent my children from having a relationship with their father. Whenever Ethan was available for consultation, he was consistent in providing extremely valuable, honest, and reliable information. I was impressed in how I could ask Ethan any question and he always had an answer right away backed by extensive knowledge, objective facts, and a strong understanding of the inner workings of family court. He is also able to remember facts well and can regurgitate granular details from our conversations of months prior. This gave me confidence in speaking to him about my case. His guidance helped me in not only the legal aspects of my case but also in maintaining a positive bearing during what was one of the most emotionally-difficult periods of my life. Ethan has a good grasp of knowing what is important and what isn't, which often provided relief for me on many occasions when I was overstressed out about something. He gave solid guidance prior to my custody/fact finder evaluation. Ethan was always available in some form or fashion, which is rare with busy attorneys. Kyle was a superstar in EVERY way. I was of course nervous but read some great reviews and decided to trust them. Right of the bat he was easy to reach, friendly, helpful, and great with follow thru. My brand new electric car from a new European company had SO many issues, not starting, doors not opening, sunroof not opening, GPS not working, weird nosies, it was an endless list of issues. Most of them were not life treating and more annoying, but he was able to get me a full refund. IT was a leap of faith and I am glad I took it.

Worst lawyers ever. They let a whole year go by and never sent my husband to the doctors or anything. They had my email , his email, my number , his number , including our home address and we’d call for updates and they’d always say everything is going great if they needed anything they’d call us. After a year they dropped our case for “no communication”. And then told us they had the wrong number on file. Now we’re struggling to fight a car accident case because of how long it has been.

My husband and I called the law offices of David Chesney at his first court date they were super kind over the phone explained everything to us took our payment over the phone partial and let us make payments as the case was going forward any questions that we had we were answered promptly. They even called us and did a follow-up a few months later to see how we were doing. I was represented by the attorneys of Lari-Joni & Bassell for a recent personal injury case that I had after a severe motorcycle accident and I have to say that I am very impressed with this team and their employees.
I was fortunate enough to have them recommended to me for my case and I found that they just don’t view you as a “client.” They see you as a person and will go above and beyond to do what they believe is most beneficial for you. They truly care about the people that they set out to help.
In addition, I found their candor and their professionalism above reproach. Now, personally, I have never had to work with attorneys before but I found that there was no need for me to constantly call for updates on my case. I trusted that they didn’t need me to bombard them with questions about this or that. They showed that they were more than competent in acting on my behalf. They truly look out and fight for what they believe is best for their client and their future.
Though I hope I never need to be in a situation that requires personal injury attorneys again, but in the event that I ever do, the attorneys of Lari-Joni & Bassell would be who I would choose to go with again. Mr. Garcia and Mrs. Gnekow were exceptional in their representation. They worked on my case which was difficult. Unfortunately, I was dealing with an ex-wife who had no interest in dealing or negotiating in good faith for what would be best for our children. My case has been on-going for nearly five years. Multiple RFO's filed through the years and endless litigation just to get small extensions of my visitation. The biggest issue is I had no legal or physical custody rights to my children. I was in a big deficit. I had a previous attorney that was good, but Mrs. Gnekow had big plans for me. She believed in my case and from day one believed she could help me get more than what I was even asking for. I had pretty much dropped the idea of joint legal custody because most people thought I needed a change of circumstance to make that happen. Not Mrs. Gnekow or Mr. Garcia. They saw their chance to argue that for me along with all my other requests which were very reasonable, (holidays, half of vacation breaks,). When they time came in the last few weeks to go to court; we hardly spent time in the actual courtroom. It took a few weeks to navigate through the stipulation and I knew my ex-wife would not go down without a fight, but in the end Mrs. Gnekow and Mr. Garcia got it done. I am a Christian and God brings people into your life for a reason. God brought me to this firm and their firm delivered beyond my expectations which is how God operates. He always exceeds your expectations as long as you have faith. Thank you again Mrs. Gnekow and Mr. Garcia and the rest of your firm.

Vincent Garcia was a good attorney. The actual attorney I retained never represented me. There was a lack of communication between client and attorney. Paralegal assigned to my case didn't mention certain rewuests I had, such as child support back pay. But over all Vincent Garcia And Heather did a good job arguing.

I called the office of Barbara May to inquire about a one time consultation. The secretary was incredibly rude. The whole conversation was infuriating. The secretary told me « let’s see first if you can afford our fees before anything. Then she told me we don’t have time for people like you who just seek advices » I was chocked. They charge 375 dollars for the first appointement and ask for $4000 before you even meet with them. They say they don’t have time to give people consultation, you have to choose them as long term attorney or they won’t give any advices on any matter. Where is humanity and kindness in all this? I never met Barbara but I know one thing her secretary sabotaged her work by being so hostile.

Mr. Hamilton changed our lives for the better. I had gone through divorce 4 years before without representation. I wound up moving to Orange County to be closer to my family. The marriage and settlement agreement gave my ex wife physical custody and me “reasonable visitation.” My ex wife decided that meant she could dictate visitation how she saw fit. As she remarried and had another baby, she decided she would only allow me to see my daughters once a year, told me I didn’t have a right to phone calls, and if I wanted the girls to visit me during the summers I could wait till they were 18.
I hired Mr. Hamilton to represent me and file a request I for order changing the custody arrangement. He negotiated with me ex wife’s attorney and represented me in court. I now have joint legal and joint physical custody. I get to drive up every other weekend to see them. They now will come down here half the summers and alternate holiday weeks. I was missing out on my daughters’ lives. Mr. Hamilton fought for me. My daughters are the most important part of my life. I couldn’t be happier, and I owe this all to Mr. Hamilton.

He and his staff worked closely with me to ensure that they knew precisely what my parameters and limits were, and Mr. Hamilton outlined my options realistically. He then pursued the matter efficiently--typically composing a letter for my review as we sat in his office--and would contact me as soon as he'd heard anything from opposing counsel. He was smart, engaging, and obviously knew the law. He and his staff communicated timely and efficiently; I was never left wondering what was going on with my case. This has definitely not been an easy task for either of us. The past 3 years (almost) have been challenging. During my divorce, I have had to endure challenges which I wish upon no one. Divorce is stressful and overwhelming at times. It is a battle between two people at their absolute worst. But I am happy that I had his help throughout the process. We have come to and made agreements, only to have them disagreed to within the very next breath by the opposing parties.
He helped keep me calm throughout the entire process. And helped me refocus during the hard times when everything seemed to be at its absolute worst. I can say that he got back to me whenever I had a question. Sometimes those answers weren't what I necessarily wanted to hear. But instead what I needed to hear.
There is "no way to guess how things will be perceived in court" what decision will be made or how things will be looked at by a judge. The only thing that we can do to help the process is to provide the truth, and state what you are trying to gain so your attorney has a clear understanding of the end goal.
One thing I can say about Neill is, give him the evidence you have. Give a brief summary of what happened and let him argue the case for you to the best of his ability. He is VERY professional, VERY knowledgeable in his art, and a GREAT lawyer from what I have experienced over the past nearly 3 years working with him on my case.
I am happy that I found him, and I appreciate the hard work he put into this case during court hearings. As this was a VERY challenging time. I would highly recommend Neill Marangi to anyone who is looking for a divorce attorney they can trust.
He has been ethical, honest, honorable, trustworthy and patient. And has helped me with my misunderstanding's throughout this entire process and again I am thankful that I found him to represent me in my time of need.
I was once told "A happy marriage never ends in divorce" by a source I don't recall. But those words hold very true.
I hope to never need his services again in the future. But if I do, I know I can go to someone who I trust to represent me through bad times again. I hired Courtney Shepard because I was told she would be a "Tiger" in the court for me. I really needed someone who could stand up for what was right with my divorce. Instead, I got a feeble attorney. Everytime we had a meeting, she was always jittery, biting her nails, always asking me the same questions. Most of the time she was not prepared. Courtney and her staff didn't keep me in the loop as to what was going on. They scheduled a deposition and didn't tell me about it. I had to constantly ask her & her staff to update me. If you are looking for an attorney who will fight for you, look elsewhere. DON'T hire Courtney Shepard!

I had the experience/expense of working with Mr. Sherlock. I had initially retained his partner Sara. She went on maternity leave and due to their other partner completely bumbling a judgement. Jason stepped in. He talked a big talk. Made me feel at ease. But actions fell far far far short. Emails went unreturned for a good amount of time. WOW is the first word that comes to mind about Warren. I had a tough case fighting for custody of my teenager. It is hard to enforce custody orders when your child is older and it was imperative to have enforceable orders as the clock was running out. Warren is an excellent attorney. Last year he represented me in an international move away case. I moved back to South Korea with my children and Warren successfully won a trial in which the Los Angeles Court decided that the case and custody was better decided by a Korean Court. He was well prepared, highly organized, knowledgeable about the law and procedures. In Korea, I won custody of my children and I have sole custody.

Amy is not a typical attorney. She cares more than most and makes you feel comfortable much more than most. My mediation case was extrmely civil and I think my wife and I owe a lot of that to Amy's professionalism and just staying on top of everything. There were no pitfalls, no surprises. Paperwork isn't fun for any of this but luckily she did most of it and even helped us do our part. The forms get really confusing so it is very nice to have someone be able to explain things in layman's terms.

From the moment I met with Amy Stavis, she was honest with me and helped me to understand how the confusing and overwhelming process of legal separation and divorce worked. With her help, my mind was put at ease and I was able to make thoughtful decisions about where to focus my energies. I had not even been aware of the "no fault" rules and once I understood that, I knew that certain things that I cared so much about and that I thought were so important would not actually have an impact on a settlement. Oddly enough, I had met with 2 other lawyers before ever having met Amy Stavis and this was never somehow explained to me. I felt like the others may just have been interested in a financial gain, thinking I could afford to turn everything into a disputed issue. Finding someone honest and up front is what I needed and I was able to obtain a very fair settlement because of the advice that was given to me by Amy Stavis. To this day, my ex-spouse and I are on amicable terms and I think this is due in part to Amy Stavis's personality and input in our case. My ex didn't have an attorney. She actually liked MY attorney and was made to feel comfortable in working out all of out property and child issues (custody). We now can coparent well.
