Attorney Ruyle was very helpful in helping me take care of a workplace violence restraining order that was put aganist me in retaliation from an employer after I filed a wrongful termination lawsuit aganist him. I was being accused of absurd claims by the company and Attorney Ruyle helped me navigate through the issue and judge dismissed it within 15 minutes of the hearing.

Thank you very much to Mr. Jos and to all his group of professionals who helped me get out of my child support case with a very good result. Each case is different and my case was very complicated. I live in the state of Virginia and the child support office of the state of California was starting a case against me, the amount they wanted me to pay was ridiculously high I didn't know what to do because I don't live in California and I had never met the child either. I searched online for a lawyer in California and thank God I found Mr. Jos's law office. I don't know them personally but I put my trust in them and they didn't disappoint me. We had very good communication despite the distance and they were always available to talk to me and clarify my doubts. If you are going through a high conflict case, please do yourself a favor and do not hire this attorney. She will not fight hard for you. Rather, if the odds are not in your favor, she will just take an L and try to negotiate that L.
That’s basically what she did with me. She even admitted to me that “when the facts are not in my client’s favor, I will try to negotiate an agreement that is better than the court will order.”
In other words, she will SURRENDER and negotiate the terms of the surrender. What is the point of that?!! I can do that myself. If I wanted to surrender, I wouldn’t be looking for an attorney to fight for me.
I had a very high conflict case where the other attorney fought very hard for her client. She asked for things that were politically incorrect. Such as removing custodial time from me, removing presumed father status, and asking for sole custody for her client, amongst other things.
When it came time for my attorney to ask the court to object her move away, so that my ex doesn’t take my son with her, this attorney was 100% USELESS. She started settling everything outside the courtroom in favor of my ex ultimately getting her move away.
She even told the court that the parents have come to an agreement, which was a big fat lie. It was the attorneys that came to an agreement, not the parents. And that was because this so called attorney does not have the PERSEVERANCE to fight in court .
To this day, I CRINGEEE just thinking about the whole experience. I just hope that no one else has to go through what I went through and be scammed out of their hard earned money.
I confronted her about the whole situation and the fact that she ended up talking me into agreeing to something I did not want to agree to. And she had the audacity to say that I would’ve been granted less time and that I cannot rewrite history. It’s not up to you, it’s up to the court to decide her move away or not. Your job as an attorney is to object it. But if you are not equipped enough to fight in court then maybe you should just not participate in high conflict cases.
Her attorney never came and settled with any of my attorneys. She fought tooth and nail even when it was not in her favor to remove custody and parentage from me.
I don’t understand why Ms. Perkins partnered up with her. Perkins is 100x better than her and is not afraid to object or fight in court.
There was a point when we were sitting down and Payne specifically read over a line that read “parents shall not use corporal punishment towards the child,” paused, looked at me dead in the eyes for like 5 seconds. It was a very ACCUSATORY stare. Almost like she was accusing me of using or intending to use corporal punishment against my son. She was obviously NOT on my side and was obviously believing the false allegations that my ex made against me. Very disgusting.
When I spoke to her over the phone she cut me short after like 2 min and said she needs to go because she needs to pick up her son. So why even answer if you’re busy?
There’s attorneys that fight hard for their clients and there’s attorneys that don’t give their heart out and are simply there to collect some money and take easy Mickey Mouse routes. This attorney unfortunately falls under the second batch.
To sum up, this attorney doesn’t respect you as a person or as a client.
Please, if you have a high conflict case, save yourself lots of stress and headaches and just look for a different attorney that will actually respect you and fight for you.

I called Shannon's office last week, regarding complex, atypical, domestic violence issues, with an individual located in Los Angeles. Shannon was recommended by lawyer Kelly Chang. Shannon personally, returned my call the next day. I have been searching for legal help for over 3 years. Shannon is the first lawyer to substantially help me. I wish I could have her as my attorney! Unfortunately, Shannon informed me, I would need to find an attorney in NY- where I reside. Shannon listened to my story for two hours- free of charge- even though she knew, I would not be able to hire her!! Shannon displayed exceptional compassion, and kindness- while advising me re: the best course ahead. Shannon is the first person, to take time to listen carefully, and give me hope for the future. Her youth proved advantageous, in understanding technological aspects of my case. The sweet smile in her photo gave me the courage to call her- since I have dreaded calling attorneys after so many have been so unkind and disrespectful- (most hung up /cut me off in less than 5 minutes). Shannon's photo did not lie- she is an honest, sweet person- of great integrity. I will be forever grateful to her. Ms.Payne is the best attorney I've ever worked with. I was dealing with a custody case that wasn't only about custody but about protecting myself and child from abuse during exchanges and allowing me to have employment without the other parents interference due to spite. The other parents attorney had no issue slandering me and appeared to allow her client to fabricate whatever they perceived helped their case. Ms.Payne was very ethical, but tactical and found very substantial, truthful evidence that showed the other parent to be not credible in their false claims. She also listened to me when I told her specific items that were important for my child's best interest and she passionately but respectfully got the court to rule in my favor. Ms. Payne works hard and thorough with minimal drama, she handles narcissistic and Cluster-B personality types with a poised, firm, diplomatic approach that is less argumentative and more about finding a solution while protecting her client and their position.

Not sure what the other reviews are talking about. Some people want their lawyer to be their therapist to cry to all the time instead of giving them legal advice. He was an aggressive lawyer, fought for my rights, and I was happy with the outcome. Excellent lawyer overall.

Mr Sizemore is the best attorney you can ever ask for!!! He is extremely knowledgeable and professional. Divorce is one of the hardest times you can ever go through. When it feels like your world has crushed and you are defeated the key to success is to find the right attorney. I was fortunate to find Mr. Sizemore. He has very strong ethics and he can instantly lay out all the facts and guide you towards the right solution. He was very patient with me and explained all the complex legal concepts to make sure I fully understand everything. He always has his clients best interests and truly cares about you! I worked with Joanne on a prenuptial agreement. This was my first time dealing with a lawyer so I had no idea what to expect. Joanne was extremely professional, responsive, and easy to work with. She explained the process to me very thoroughly and I truly feel like she had my best interests at heart. If it weren't for the the opposing counsel's side, the process would have wrapped up within a few weeks due to the quick speed at which Joanne is able to work. I would definitely work with Joanne again on any legal matter related to marriage/divorce, although I certainly hope I won't have to :)

After spending 10,700 Ms Garrett told me to negotiate my own settlement with my ex husband. All she had to do was help me enforce the divorce decree.
She could not remember my name or anything about my case when we spoke but charged me for everything.
I got screwed twice, once by my ex and then by Ms Garrett. Do your homework before thinking about hiring any lawyer, don't hire them based on 5 star reviews.
Check out their track record first or you might as well throw your money in the toilet.

Linda Garrett is a gem! I was nervous about the process, I was worried about the quality of service and uncertain about the cost. I called Linda's office and scheduled a consultation. During our complimentary consultation, which she offers for 10 to 15 minutes, as an opportunity to explain her services; I could sense her level of integrity. She explained the process and shared my options in depth, she even gave me some suggestions of what to do and not to do when communicating with the courts, in event I chose to represent myself.
I tossed and turned the night after our free consultation because I knew I needed a lawyer, but I was worried about the cost. After obtaining Linda's rate, I researched for hours trying to determine the going rate, and I discovered that Linda's rate of service is definitely the norm within the law industry.
Since I had such a good feeling about her, I scheduled a one-hour consultation, where I was able to share the details of my case; at that time, I felt affirmed that I needed to retain Linda. Before the call was over, I asked Linda if she would represent me, and she said "Yes!". What a relief, I thought. Note: She was on time for both calls! And her Assistant is super friendly and accommodating.
We synced our schedules, I sent the required paperwork and payment, and about a few days later, we spoke again by phone to complete the court documents (Family Law). It was an AWESOME experience, Linda completed the paperwork with me on the phone, she asked me questions and shared what she was typing as she went. After the paperwork was done, Linda sent me a copy to review and provide any edits, if I had any.
I had no corrections, everything was flawless!!!!!!
The next communication was when Linda emailed me to confirm that the paperwork had been filed, and the next step after that was our court date.
On the court date itself, we met each other 15 minutes early to check-in. I was so happy to see her! Her appearance was very professional, and her energy was kind and supportive. While I was so anxious, I am certain that if I didn't retain Linda, my experience would have been much different; and probably not as promising.
The day went smoothly, and Linda's defense granted a dismissal.
Linda Garrett is Trustworthy, honest, caring and I can tell that she is passionate about serving her clients to the highest of her ability. She is not in this field purely for the money, she cares, I didn't feel like a number, I didn't feel like her attention was divided, she made me feel like NUMBER 1, like her highest priority!
Linda was friendly with the court staff, has a calm confidence about herself, and more than anything, I felt like someone who REALLY cared about my circumstances was there to support me.
I am so grateful for Linda. I am hoping I won't need to go to court again, and if I do, without hesitation, I will reach out to Linda, hoping she can fit me into her busy schedule.

If I could leave a negative review, I absolutely would. My experience with Sharman and her team has been deeply disappointing. Despite being entrusted with my case for nearly a year, no meaningful progress was made, and the situation was made worse due to her lack of preparation and attention to detail.
Sharman clearly never took the time to study my case, which became evident through her repeated oversights and lack of understanding of critical details. Her inaction and carelessness have left me and my family in over $20,000 of debt. Worse, when I retained a new attorney, they discovered that critical documents—like the initial dissolution petition—were missing from the case file Sharman’s team provided.
The contrast between my new attorney and Sharman’s approach is stark. My new attorney is working diligently to fix the damage caused, and the difference is night and day. Sharman’s lack of care and effort has turned my case against me, which no client should have to endure.
I share this review not out of anger but to inform others of my experience. Single parents and vulnerable families deserve better than to be taken advantage of. Please do your research before retaining this attorney or firm.

Mr. Mor has been a very helpful and generous soul this weekend. I am currently on unemployment and my unscrupulous former employers decided to challenge my approved claim. Mr. Mor was a cold call and he informed me I did not need to hire him and he spent about 40 minutes counseling me why and explaining some tips. He then had me send over a 40 page document involving the case and gave me another complimentary consultation regarding his thoughts. WHAT LAWYER IN THE WORLD WOULD DO THIS ALL FOR FREE? We had no prior relationship I simply google'd him and he was this kind to me. He specializes in wrongful termination and EDD/unemployment matters. He was a bumbling incompetent attorney and I got what I paid for - bargain basement. If you have zero issues he may fumble his way through your case. Anything complex and it’s over his head and he’s out lawyered. I got a call from his assistant on another post I made asking what they can do before responding. Not only is he incompetent- he’s keen to blame everyone but himself and his poor skills. Lots of other attorneys to pick from. Don’t waste your time and money with this guy who can’t add up basic numbers.

I retained Maxine Ho as my attorney for a period of time between 2019 and 2020. Due to early mistakes on my part, my divorce case had turned complex and was challenging for just about any attorney to turn around. I was fortunate to have Maxine consider representing me given the circumstance.
Maxine is a great attorney who is efficient, polite, honest and responds in a timely manner. She has the ability to apply aggression if and when necessary, and she also stands her ground if and when in disagreement with her client, with good intention and in good faith - in saying so, I can highly recommend her.
I have not come across decent attorneys even after an extensive search over a period of 4 years; however, I can say that Maxine is one of the few good ones.
Unfortunately, I was forced to part ways with Maxine - nothing to do with her service but due to my financial limitations alone. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for her legal advice, time, and efforts representing me.
If you are looking for an attorney and haven't made detrimental mistakes thus far, you should consider Maxine. And, even if your case is complex, consider a consultation - she will at the very least guide you correctly to ensure the best possible outcome.

I hired Mr. Nakos in the midst of a horrible child custody battle. I had temporarily lost custody of my child due to my ex-husband's lies in court. I was losing hope but all of that changed once I met Mr. Nakos. I hired him during my consultation and he was quick to make me a priority. I found Ms Swift to be a top notch attorney who has both experience and integrity. Like some of us do, I found myself having a wonderful child with a not so wonderful partner. Soon enough the relationship went from terrible to worse, and I needed to get a custody order in place. Because of the complicated nature of child custody, I was referred to Nathan.
As it turns out, Nathan is the kind of attorney you can only hope is on your side of a child custody case. He walked me through every step of the process. Within days of our first phone call, I was reviewing a Request for Order. He walked me through the Declaration of Income and Expense Reports, the Plaintiff's responses. He explained in detail what each and every word meant.
During the deposition, Nathan was more prepared then I could ever have imagined. He was direct and pointed, and extracted information that would be very helpful during court.
Within months of serving an RFO, I quickly learned that I had been served with a restraining order. Scared out of my mind and spinning in circles, Nathan helped me navigate through it. Not only was he my lawyer, but he came a confidant. He helped me with the visit from the sheriff's department and the painful supervised visitations.
The week prior to my first court date, I spoke to Nathan everyday about what the court proceeding would be like. He was very honest with me and told me that there is nothing you can do to prepare for testifying in a child custody case. He was right. There is nothing like it that I have ever experienced, but because of the relationship we had developed over the course a few months, it more was like talking to a friend across the table instead of sitting in a courtroom.
On Nathan's cross examination, he was able to discredit the Respondent and get the restraining order removed.
If you ever find yourself in my situation, I would highly advise that you hire Nathan. He is a great lawyer, he cares, and he will argue your case until he is blue in the face. I would give him ten stars if I could.

Mr. Gabbard is an highly strategic and thoughtful attorney who helped me with a difficult divorce case. He has a passion for the law and is genuinely concerned with justice which comes across while you work with him. So as you read all the reviews about this guy, ask yourself if you want a nice, polite attorney? Or do you want a shark who fights for your rights? If your opposition is a great person you have a lovely relationship with, and their lawyer is a wonderful person too, give Mr. Gabbard a try. Or just DIY it if it's that simple. Bit I would guess that most people looking for this type of attorney really need help. If that's you, and especially if losing your case will seriously wreck your life and your loved ones' lives, then RUN from Mr. Gabbard. He literally snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in my case. I've spent the last several months and a lot of $ trying to recover, and it looks like I probably never will. This guy ruined my life--not just figuratively, but literally.

I would never recommend anyone to use Emily as their attorney. I hired her many many years ago to represent me for my child custody/ support case and she did nothing to help me. I did all the leg work by providing her all my documents, going to the court to retrieve old documents from previous cases with the father of my children. The day of court she showed up with no paperwork, good thing I was prepared and had a copy of the whole case with me that she used. After months of not hearing from her with an update she informed me the judge threw out my case due to the other parent having outstanding violations and that I could pay the tickets myself to live forward which turned out to be a lie years later. I went to the court to try to proceed with the case on my own and the staff thought I was crazy and advised me to fire my attorney because they hard record she showed up to court on an unknown date and represented me and the judge did actually grant me full custody and child support which I did not know about for years. When I asked for the final documents they informed me the child support will not be valid since the attorney filed the order after hearing incorrectly and left off the child support but it was mentioned in the minute order. Per the court staff I would have to refill all the paperwork and serve the other parent again and go before a judge. It’s impossible for me to serve the other parent as he is in jail far away and financially I do not have the funds nor time to do this as this has been a case going since about 2013. Do not waste your time or money because you will be left doing the attorney work on your own.

We have been clients of Mike Razo since February 2024 and it was the best decision we have ever made. He was not the first lawyer that represented us in the case for custody of our daughter. We had been fighting for primary custody since 2017 and spent tens of thousands of dollars in the process.
