Divorce is the hardest possible thing I've dealt with especially involving kids. I had taste buds taken off my mouth not wanting to eat due to this matter of divorce to crying that my now ex-wife would let me see my kids.
I left her so she had an avenue which is making my life hard through attorneys to get back. Long story story short I hired a cheap attorney versus not having one worst mistake ever... Hired Andrea she gets to the point divorced in record time. She doesn't play games and plays devils advocate as she knows the system. Best thing she advised to me is that she said to me with ease. "Your the same person going through a divorce with a different last name" She's a 10 Star. Me and my ex wife next to me. She turned a 14 month battle and converted in 90 days.

Syed, (and legal team member Brandy), are the upper echelon of family law representation. Once I told Syed my situation regarding my divorce he immediately had my mind at ease.
EVERYTHING he told me was exactly what took place all the way through the final hearing. He is articulated, composed, and friendly. No gray areas, no surprises, and only positive outcomes.
Whenever I called the office, (a lot), someone always answered my call. If I ever had a question I always received answers in a timely fashion. I had absolutely ZERO issues.
I would say most family lawyers are like Kirkland brand chocolate; good but you know there’s better. If you want Godiva level quality, you go to Syed.

Syed and his team are the way to go. His fee was 25% of what they charged my ex. Easily accessible, you can text him anytime. Knows the law and everyone in the area. Everything is super efficient. He’s not out to take your money. He wants it done quickly and fairly. Zero issues. The attorney will matter regardless of how simple you think the case is….get a good one that knows what they’re doing.

I believe that I went through the worst divorce on earth, and I thank god that I met Ms McDaniel. She is tough; she fights for what's right and fair. Sadly, I was married to a narcissist and a monster, who manipulated me throughout our marriage, while I struggled with Stage 4 cancer. Ms McDaniel worked hard to find a way to ensure my divorce was as easy as possible, in order to ensure it will not interrupt any of my Doctor Appointments and Chemotherapy sessions. The team at MGM Law are very respectful, kind, and hard working. My Ex husband tries to hide some funds, lied under oath and showed no respect to everyone, including his own lawyer. Divorce is a very hard process to go through, and even though it is not over yet, I already know that I could not pick a better lawyer. The first minute I walked in the office, terrified and not knowing what to do, Mary listened me and knew right away what is the best for me and especially for my boys. I wish there were 10 stars or 100 to rate Mark Howard.I called Mark on very short notice. Less than a week before my court date,in which the case has been on going for almost three years with a different lawyer I hired. My previous lawyer practically left me hanging and Mark picked up all the pieces. I kid you not this man educated himself on my child support modification case within hours! I hired him on Friday,my case was 4 days after, which means he even worked the weekend to get caught up on my case. He was constantly communicating with me,as well as his assistant. They kept me informed at all times. He did for me in a matter of hours what my previous lawyer couldn't do in years. I was at ease, fully trusted Mark to the point that I could have let him make decisions for me because the interest of me and my kids were his top priority. He showed me outlines of everything he did, he called me and reached out to explain every possibility in my case and any outcome that may or may not happen. His assistant Joni was also very professional and always kept contact to inform me of any thing regarding my case. I cannot express the amount of gratitude that I have for this lawyer and the staff. He is very straight forward, got me back on track if my emotions started taking over. He is very direct, he explains your payments,what the invoice describes,what his next steps are. Mark Abzug is the best attorney hands down. I became a satisfied client about 10 years ago and when complications arise from my divorce settlement agreement Mark nips it in the bud right quick. I have had the displeasure of other attorneys in the past that talk the talk but can't produce. So, believe me I know the difference. I want to commend Mike's efforts and recognize him for an outstanding job on my behalf. His diligence and efficiency in getting the settlement agreement drafted, reviewed and signed all on the same day we reached an agreement is virtually unheard of and very much appreciated.
What could have been a protracted and horribly expensive process was resolved with minimal friction and at a comparatively modest cost for all parties. The initial counterproposal we received looked like we were headed for a dogfight. His realistic, disciplined approach kept everyone, including opposing counsel, focused on obtaining a fair result for both parties.

Michael Dyer was one of the first calls I made during an extremely difficult period of my life. I had zero knowledge about separation and divorce. All I knew was I needed it done and with guidance. My very first
call with him he gave me an explanation with great detail about what it would entail and the proper steps to take in order to proceed with my divorce. He made sure I felt comfortable and that my needs were met as well as making sure I had everything to gain and wasn’t being taken advantage of from my ex partner. Mike doesn’t only exceed his expectations as a lawyer but made me feel safe as for someone like myself with emotional and learning disabilities. I appreciated his willingness to be patient with me. I'm new to writing online reviews, nonetheless I hope anyone looking to retain Mr. Dyer will read this post. For the last 12 years, I have been dealing with lawyers, both professionally and in my personal life, unfortunately. I trust Mr. Dyer and his firm like I trust my family. Anytime I had an issue pop up throughout the duration of my cases, they were quick to come to bat for me and they always produced the best result. It didn't take long for me to learn they take pride and care in all cases, large or small, high-profile or just your average person. After witnessing Mr. Dyer fiercely battle for my children, I was not surprised when I later learned he too was a parent. This gentleman treats his clients like they're family, and he fights for them like they're family. Additionally, he has taken the expert knowledge of the field and communication capability to a level of perfection - this was particularly helpful for me as our court systems legal lingo can most times be difficult to follow. It's truly remarkable to witness him manipulate the law so exquisitely and brilliantly. Deborah was a great attorney to work with. I really appreciated her transparency and professionalism. Deborah has extensive law knowledge and works your case from start to finish. First, the most paramount part of a case is not the lawyer but being honest with your story and having the evidence to support it. If you go in wanting any lawyer to fight for something based off anger and vengeance, don’t get mad at them if they don’t win.
Mr. Marraffino and his team are ethical and compassionate. They will be straight forward with you and can assist you better if you are straight forward with them. I would suggest them to anyone I know in the area going through a family case, custody battle or divorce. After researching many other lawyers in the area we chose him based off of his years of experience in family law and his great reviews. After our first meeting with him and his team we felt confident in our choice.
During the 16 month arduous Custody and Divorce case they spent countless hours listening to our story, keeping notes and records, following up with us, taking tearful phone calls and they never backed down from the challenges presented to them. Overall, we felt seen, heard and supported by the team and never like it was just about a paycheck. They truly cared about the well being of the children and it was of much comfort knowing we all were fighting for the same thing. I took the help of Mr. Marraffino to fight my divorce case. Half the battle was already won when my husband came to know that I have hired such a reputed lawyer, and hence I did get an easy mutual divorce. Mr. Marraffino was not just a lawyer but also did a lot of counseling for me during these tough times, listening patiently despite being so busy. He is knowledgeable not only in divorce related issues, but I found him to have good knowledge in tax related matters as well. He also recommended me a women's shelter when I wanted to leave my husband's house. Above all, he does not try to prolong the case and keeps it as simple and finishes a case as fast as possible, in the best interest of the client. I found the farm to be client friendly, with a homely cozy environment rather than being too professional. Just the comfort and ease I needed at that moment. Mr. Marraffino, Mrs. Marraffino and Ms. Lashanda treated me not like a client but as a friend. Due to them, despite being completely alone in the country, I found the strength to file a divorce case and go through with it till completion. I'm a middle aged guy. I only mention that because no matter how optimistic your point of view, the margin of error for mistakes in judgement shrinks as you get older. It's like a pilot who couldn't successfully get out of a stahl, just because he was too close to the ground. He knew what to do, but there just wasn't enough time to recover (I fly a Cesna 152).
I recently signed a contract to sell my house. In the weeks prior to the closing date, I got a sobering understanding of the state of the real estate market. Houses were absurdly expensive. Sure I sold my house for good money. But now what ? Too late though, I signed a binding contract. Can't get out of this stahl, not this time. The buyer was paying cash, and already had $250K in the escrow. This is as a done deal, right ? As it turns out on the day of closing, there was a discrepancy or misunderstanding on the buyers side, which my very astute escrow attorney pointed out. I was referred to attorney Richard Gaines. Since time was of the essence, he was communicating with my escrow agent and buyers attorney within the hour. That same day, he wrote a detailed email complete with contractual references. The buyers attorney had our very well written position within a couple of hours the day of the closing. I was impressed with my attorneys swift analysis, strategy and execution. By the end of the week, I was released from the contract and got my house back ! I highly recommend Richard Gaines as a skilled and effective advocate in time of need.

Finding the right attorney can be a challenge, especially for a strong personality client (i.e. me). It was very important that I found someone not only extremely capable of dealing with my case but also dealing with me. I needed someone to support me when i was on the right train of thought, or advise me when I wasn't.

My situation was too complicated for other agencies so they referred me to Open Palm Law. OPL called me and explained The Tampa Bay Pro Bono Collaborative Project. I cried with relief. Even though I still didn’t understand the scope of it, I knew it was my last hope for a desperately needed divorce.
Austin did such an amazing job of explaining the collaborative process, using Joryn’s amazing posters, that my husband signed the agreement to go forward. We each received and read Joryn’s book, War Or Peace, and I started to realize what was being offered to us.

Well, On the very first meeting I had showed her a proposal my ex had given me, and I turned it down flat. This was my second experience with a family law attorney for my custody case. I was represented my Ophelia Bernal-Mora. Unlike the first time I had an attorney, I walked away from the case feeling like I was represented by someone who clearly was representing my interests, knew what she was doing, and moreover, cared! She is extremely knowledgeable (heck she is board certified and worth every penny!) and when there is another modification or contempt issue filed in my case, she will be the attorney I go to without hesitation. She is very up to date on case law and the laws and I think knew more than the judge we had did. She does not overbill or nickel and dime on her billing like I experienced with my first attorney. It can get expensive, but I think you get what you pay for and for a board certified family law attorney which there are not many from what I could find, her prices are pretty reasonable. Her firm also no charged many many items throughout my case to my surprise and satisfaction. She is clearly not in it just for the money and wants to help people. I cannot thank her enough! I’m a physician with a high level government security clearance. My spouse filed for divorce and initiated a DVI as a means of gaining an advantage in the divorce proceedings. This removed me from the marital home, removed access to my son, and jeopardized my career, security clearance, and reputation. After two months of having a lawyer who was inactive, I hired Nicole and her team. They quickly reestablished my access to the home and won my DVI case easily. Nicole and her paralegal team have been a huge support to me over the two-year period from the time my ex and I decided to file to mailing my final alimony check. Filing for divorce while being stationed overseas (military service) is never easy, but Nicole and her team made it about as easy as one could possibly make it. Despite never meeting her or her team face to face due to my physical distance, I always felt like I had a team in my corner. Either Nicole or her team was quick to respond (usually within the day, or close to one day was the average), and they were able to work with me to set up times to have phone conversations. On the day of my deposition/mediation, Nicole was on time, ready to have me dial-in. She made great recommendations on when to stand firm and when I need to make some concessions.
