I recently went through my first divorce. I was very upset and lost. I could not find a lawyer available or one that would even answer the phone. After a full day of calls, at about 7:15pm I was so afraid and lost. Then Monica answered her phone and gave me some guidance. Monica set an appointment with me the next day. I almost got a little bit of sleep that night. I hired Monica to represent me. This divorce was one of the most difficult things I have been through in my life. I want to thank God that we found Cindi ! When things look grim and hopeless for my daughter and children I believe we were guided to Cindi. The previous lawyer my daughter had was useless and kept telling her she had to keep going back into a home that was dangerous for her and our grandchildren because of domestic violence.

Cindi is a true advocate for her clients. She was contacted during a time of despair and even though she was skeptical at first of our concerns….she listened to us and sat down to go over our case. We had previously had a well known attorney out of Jacksonville. Unfortunately, he did not take the time to listen to us nor fight for what we knew could not be afforded. Cindi ended up locating the egregious mathematical errors that had resulted in the judge awarding the other party an outrageous monthly alimony payment (an alimony payment that was unable to be made due to other bills and obligations). She fought for what could be afforded…..which was no alimony….and she delivered! It’s been an extended, prolonged battle but in the end the outcome is much better than we could have ever anticipated!! Cindi is incredibly knowledgeable about the law and sets realistic expectations for what the judge is likely to award. She does not make empty promises. Her prices are also incredibly reasonable and if I’m being honest, she should raise her fees. Cindi’s rates are fair and she remains conscientious of her client’s budget (unlike many other attorneys out there who will bill you for every little thing and take unnecessary and unproductive steps just in order to create billable hours). Cindi also always keeps the childrens’ best interest at heart. She is genuinely compassionate about her job and you tell how much she loves family law with the effort that she puts in! Lisa is by far the best attorney I have worked with. She is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the law, competent, hard-working, determined, reasonably priced and genuinely cares about you and your case. I had an interstate case that was rather complex. After speaking with Lisa, I knew she was the best attorney for the job. I had called about 7 other attorneys and they were all confused about how to go about my case and they were hesitant as to my next step. Not Lisa! Lisa knew exactly what to do! She was an angel. She is also one of the hardest working attorneys I have ever encountered. At no time did I ever feel in the dark about what was going on. She kept me up to date on everything and made sure I knew what was going on at all times. She oftentimes worked from home into the wee hours of the night (thanks Lisa). Lisa Smith is an expert at what she does. She knows the law; she is professional, highly intelligent, and down to earth. Mr. Daniel Bachert successfully represented me since 2015 in my case. I was all ready divorced and my ex-husband wanted to modify the child support. Even though the child support was modified, Dan was able to prove that my ex-husband was not only failing to pay child support, but the alimony and the court-ordered school expenses for over 10 years were also in arrears. My ex-husband was also found in contempt for failure to provide documents relating to the children. Mr. Dan Bachert provided excellent representation and service. I hired Dan after attempting to file what I believed was a simple custody and support arrangement regarding my then 2 year old daughter. Her mother had started refusing to allow me to see her, even though I had been sending her money to help with my daughter's expenses. I filed the initial paperwork and attended the first mediation on my own, believing that it would be simple. We were only together a short time but were not married, and I wanted to help raise and provide for my daughter. Unfortunately, her mother wanted me to provide for both of them and was determined to keep me out of my daughter's life until I agreed to her demands. I hired Dan because I quickly found out that the system favors mothers, and despite my intent, I was not going to be a part of my daughter's life if I didn't get legal help. Dan put me at ease right away. He worked closely with me over the next few months attempting to come to an arrangement that worked. Unfortunately, my daughter's mother held her position, and ultimately we had to go to court. My daughter's mother was extremely unreasonable and grasping at straws, making her volatile and unpredictable, but Dan was prepared for every possibility. His knowledge and professionalism kept me and my then fiancé calm and collected throughout the process. In the end, not only did Dan negotiate true 50/50 shared custody and cost sharing, but due to his presentation of the facts, I picked up my daughter the very next day. This was more than I could have hoped for after 7 long months of not seeing her at all. I highly recommend Dan as his expertise guaranteed me the chance to help raise my daughter and ensured she is part of my family as well as her mom's.

complicated it had many legal implications. The major concern was how best to navigate through the issues I had that would result in a favorable outcome.
Starting with my first conversation with Lori she immediately set my mind at ease. From the very beginning she treated me with respect and empathy. I was referred to Ms. Bourassa recently to handle my divorce. She stated at our first meeting she would handle the case and get it done the way I asked. She also is extremely responsive and actually returns phone calls. While at time I got excited and vented my needs during the progress of this case, Ms Bourassa remained calm advising me to to the same. She also advised me to simply let most of my demands lay, and get on with my life. Good advice, which I eventually followed. I have used Lisa Coplan-Gardner on several occasions for child support issues. Every case has been ruled in my favor due to her hard-work, diligence and compassion. I always felt that my case was a priority for her and her entire staff. I have a special needs child and a complex case. At our initial consultation, before I even hired her, she began looking up information for me and guiding me. At no time did I ever feel that it was about money for her. I was surprised at her eagerness to help me, educate me and fight for me and my children. Her kindness, understanding and patience was a breath of fresh air after having spoken to 3 other attorneys who made me feel as if I were a number. They were cold and unconcerned. Lisa treated me like a friend. When it was obvious that my complex case was going to cost more than I could afford at the time, she was sympathetic. She allowed me to make payments to her and often discounted some of her rates. She also suggested ways that I could reduce the costs by handling some things myself instead of just sucking every penny out of me that she could get. By me being proactive in helping with my case, it helped me be more prepared and educated in the courtroom in front of the judge. It also helped me to prepare for what is proving to be a long-term battle against the father of my children. The advice and education that she gave me through the entire process is proving to be invaluable. She never kept me in the dark, she was always available to talk to me, and her staff was AMAZING AND HELPFUL!!!! The thing that most impressed me about Lisa was that she was always honest with me - a trait that is not commonly associated with her profession - even when it was something that I didn't want to hear. I was referred to Mrs. Aileen Siclait, by a neighbor who was ranting and raving about her non-stop. How she is on point, doesn't pIay, doesn't have time to waste... She's just Amazing! Needless to say, I took that number down.
I've been told often that child support cases are commonly complicated. For instance, in cases like mine, which originated from another State, with arrears of over $20,000 were often a longshot, especially when the child has already reached majority, and the opposing party presents himself as a total looser, with no money to spare.
It took a few years, for the back pay to accumulate that much and throughout these years, he made numerous attempts to weasel himself out of paying money he owed me. It was a real struggle.
Well... Aileen turned out to be Everything my friend described, and then some. We made contact the second week of August 2022, she consulted with me in person, over the phone, exchanged a few emails and by the end of the same week, she had a proposal ready for my signature.
To make a long story short, (because I could go on and on), by April 10th, 2023, specifically 8 months later, I received a Direct Deposit of one lumpsum payment of a negotiated amount, nevertheless, one Substantial lumpsum amount, which I was about to give up on. Don't Give Up People!!!! There is a light at the end of the tunnel :)

I recently reached out to Attorney Melissa Pendergrass about my current legal situation and after speaking with me she explained she was no longer focused on the type of representation I was requiring. She was extremely knowledgeable about my legal problem but felt I was better suited for another attorney! I felt a review was the least I could do seeing as she took the time to hear me out for free and refer me to another attorney she felt was best suited for my situation. I would recommend Pete to anyone. Pete and his paralegal, Kristy are very professional and courteous and always kept me in the loop and were extremely helpful.
