I contact this law firm Joel to be exact, because he was working with my father before he died trying to locate property in Medina County. Joel charged me for the same work he did for my father. He made it seem as if the research was new. He is very unethical and a scam artist. Stay away from this crooked lawyer.

BEWARE of Michael Dominick
let me save you your time and money before even considering using Michael Dominick for your services. First of all the receptionist who was very sweet I believe is coached to say whatever it takes to schedule the appointment. I was lied to, to feel comfortable enough to make the appointment. Was told the hourly rate and I said oh I most likely will only take up no more then 20 minutes, I only wanted to ask a couple of questions. She said no problem they will refund for whatever time I don’t use. Which is the only reason I agreed to the appointment. I was there on time, was made to wait cause he was “consulting with a colleague” I was told, which was fine, walked into his office 15 minutes later. Was in his office almost 25 minutes before telling him that I don’t think he is what I was looking for. At the front I asked about the refund and you can tell his frail ego was hurt and said we don’t do that. And I explained then I was lied to and that now I feel conned into making the appointment because I never would have accepted knowing the truth. Said to contact billing and she was just plain rude. She then said that “I am just mad because he wouldn’t take my case” lol oh honey I’m sorry I think you have it twisted but it’s his weak frail male ego that is mad that I didn’t want him. She then dismissed me rudely. Maybe he needs the extra cash because he is the least paid lawyer in that office and was able to take my appointment instantly so that speaks volumes for his books. Maybe he will use the cash to tailor his poorly fit suit. I have the original phone call recorded on my home security cameras to prove I was told about the refund policy and I have the appointment voice recorded because I sometimes forget everything that was talked about during any sort of appointment and like to reference back, so I have time stamps and everything for the record
Save yourself your time and just go somewhere else. He is smug and arrogant and likes the sound of his own voice because I tried to cut off the appointment much sooner as I realized ten minutes in he was not for me but he likes to go round and round repeating himself, probably to rack up the bill and justify himself. I will be going to everywhere and anywhere to leave my review, google, yelp, Reddit, Justia, Avvo, every San Antonio group on Facebook. I will google San Antonio lawyer review sites and leave my experience so people can take from it what they will.

Her office will charge you an arm and a leg to just get you to mediation, encourage you to settle because it’s going to be at least 10k more to go to court, and then keep charging you more and more to get the final orders. Left this single mom with a good job living in a deficit without a care about it. I think all she cares about this point in her life is retiring and not her clients well being.

Anita was horrible!!! She took my daughters 7,500 retainer and did nothing for her. We went to court twice and did not even get to see the Judge bc she was not in the courtroom waiting for us to be called. We ended up agreeing to temporarily orders for visitation to avoid having to pay more for having to come back to court. She negotiated my daughters child support and got it raised but didn’t file it. She always seemed very scatterbrained! We did our first consultation with the paralegal NOT her and they were more thorough, but then when we met her, she would come in and took no notes and when talking to my daughter she was refer to my grandson as her daughter not son!! And when we were at the court house she treated my daughter like she wasn’t going to get what she wanted and even told her “ I told you a million times that he was going to get extended visitation, “ She was Not respectful at all of my daughter. She even left the doors open while speaking with the other lawyer and was making comments to him like my daughter was acting like she wanted to much!!!!

I was represented in 2019 for a criminal case . I never spoke to them until the morning of court in which he rushed me through the reading and didn't answer my questions .Now I have the same case and same thing court again in the am and i still have yet to speak to my attorney. he also has not returned emails or even asked me any information as to what i have done completed or programs participated thru or been a in regards to my court orders !

Travers and Travers literally brought our family together. We had a rather unique experience, but Travers & Travers helped us through it every step of the way. We live in South Dakota and needed a referral for a lawyer in Texas. My sister is an attorney and asked around and everyone we talked to suggested Travers and Travers. So we took a leap of faith and it paid off for us big time. My initial phone call was with Sherrie and she immediately made me feel at ease. Travers & Travers took our case head on and did not stop until we brought our daughter home. They were very professional, but were also very human and friendly- that was very important to me. Mack went with us to court and mediation and he was able to keep us calm while waiting in between everything. He was very well spoken and had good charisma in the court room. Allison and Annilee worked on the background information, researching and helping us gather the information we needed to win our case. Travers & Travers explained things to us in terms we could understand, they were willing and able to answer any questions we had and never made us feel like we were bothering them. Girlfriend was in an accident. Had police and witnesses confirm what happened. It was a slam dunk case. It took them almost 2 years. At the end we only got a few hundred dollars. They were a waste of time. I regret getting him as out attorney.

Terrible attorneys they will try to convince you to sign a deal, regardless if you’re innocent or not, they don’t care about whose lives they’re fixing to ruin as long as you sign whatever deal they want you to they will not hear your side of the story. They wanted me to sign a “special probation”for a year on something I did not do, I Have no criminal history. I tried to tell them my side what happened three different times. They were relentless. I tried to convince me to take this plea deal. Do not spend your money on these attorneys if you get a court appointed you better beg You get another Attorney.

I had a very disappointing experience working with Lyndsay Newell as my attorney. Here are several specific issues I encountered:
Billing Issues: I was billed for time that I believe was inappropriate. At one point, another lawyer came into the meeting and started discussing personal topics with Lyndsay about her husband. Despite this conversation being irrelevant to my case, I was initially billed for an hour of this other lawyer’s time. When I questioned it, she removed the charge, but the situation felt unprofessional and unnecessary.
Frustrated Response to Questions: Whenever I asked questions to clarify details, Lyndsay often became visibly frustrated. For instance, she responded to one of my questions with, “Rebekah, we’ve worked so hard on this,” as if I shouldn’t be asking for further clarification. Even when it was something we had previously discussed, it wasn't always clearly explained to me, and as a client, I expected patience and understanding.
Lack of Advocacy During Mediation: During my mediation on February 8th, I felt that Lyndsay did not advocate for me strongly enough. There were specific items I had explicitly rejected, yet when the opposing side requested them, she still included them in the agreement without objection. It felt as though my firm “no” was disregarded.
Failure to Provide Clear Guidance: Throughout the mediation, when the opposing party made requests, I was not informed that I didn’t have to agree to everything. This led me to agree to terms that were ultimately unfavorable to me. I later reviewed the final MSA with a lawyer friend who confirmed that the agreement was heavily biased against my interests, contrary to Lyndsay’s repeated insistence that it was a “great deal” for me.
Lack of Follow-Up After Mediation: After mediation, when the other party did not pay the agreed child support, I reached out to Lyndsay by email to ask for guidance. She did not reply to me at all, leaving me to handle the issue on my own without any support from her.
Unexplained Delay in Finalizing the Case: My MSA was signed on February 8th, yet the case was not finalized in court until July 31st—a delay of nearly five months. During this time, I had no court order to enforce child support payments from my ex, which left me without the support I was supposed to receive. I’m still uncertain what caused this delay or why it took so long.
As a first-generation immigrant and a non-native English speaker, I was unfamiliar with the legal process and didn’t fully know what to expect. I placed my trust in Lyndsay to represent my best interests and guide me through each step, but I was left feeling unsupported and misrepresented.
Now, due to the unfair terms of the agreement, I am facing serious challenges and am suffering from the consequences of an imbalanced arrangement with my ex. I am now forced to look for another lawyer to reassess the agreement, which has created even more stress and expenses for me. This experience has been incredibly disheartening, and I regret every single second that I chose to work with her. I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through the same experience I did.

My case was assigned to Kim Washington, seemingly an competent lawyer; but after working with her for about ten months, basically continuing work begun four months prior by two of her colleagues, I have come to know differently. Any lawyer earning her fee per hour should be equipped with knowledge and experience that should enable that lawyer to offer sound advice to clients, especially if clients are asking for services that are not offered by the firm anyway!!!
I paid too much money (well over $15,000.00) for a divorce that was never contested, but too much time/expense allocated towards chasing possibilities only to learn later on two occasions that I would have to go outside of the firm for services not offered by the firm, but needed to resolve my issue!!! I hope Ms. Washington will listen carefully to what future clients need/want from her and honestly advise accordingly without unnecessarily compounding costs without delivering on objectives known from the beginning of the process.

I hired Kelly back in August 2019, notified him of my situation and asked if he could help me retain rights to my daughter. Not only did we not get anything accomplished he took $6900 of mine and for two months did not even contact me after telling me he was going to submit everything to the courts and I should hear back ASAP from him. That being said it was the worst experience I’ve ever had with an attorney. Don’t want anyone else to have to go down the route like I did.

Very professional, they handled my case, as if I was a family member. They were very compassionate to my needs and very understanding they were able to do wonders for me than the attorney that I had hired 11 years ago to handle the case that they did for me and was able to have everything to be wrapped up within a 36 month term so I am very pleased with Tom Thomas legal very good company and I would use them over and over and over again also after two years had come and gone I was needing to talk with my creditor and they would not talk to me. Previous to my divorce case, I had never been to court for anything bigger than a traffic ticket so when Chris took on my divorce case, I knew little if anything of the family judicial process. Chris walked me through the steps of what was going to happen and what would be expected of me but also suggested i do my own homework. This was good advice as I learned that divorce cases are not always so straightfoward....(woman files for divorce, woman gets custody of children). This was my expectation as we walked into court but Chris was quick to find the weakness in the opposing side which allowed me to eventually win (for lack of a better word) the day. The bottom line is the decision the judge made, based on Chris's strategy enabled my children to be in the safest post divorce environment. I couldn't ask for more than that. thanks

I hired Mr. Spofford for a custody modification. Soon after a terribly messy divorce I discovered my son was in a chaotic household and I had to make sure he was safe. It took a lot of time and money, but was worth it in the end. Chris was patient, on point and trustworthy. Depositions seemed stressful and chaotic to me but Chris was calm, patient and methodical. Mr. Spofford was able to obtain HPD body cam footage that turned out to be extremely helpful to my case. Chris and Jennifer always responded to calls and emails in a timely fashion, along with making sure I was informed and I understood all aspects of the process. I've been trying to get in touch with her for months. We paid half of our dues, and haven't the other half because she never answers her phone or is in her office. We still haven't been placed on the list for court, which should have been done 2 months ago! You would think hiring someone and giving them everything you have they would help. Now I'm short on time and money and need to find another lawyer! Not very happy! When something is said, you should follow through. She even stated she would give our money back if she can't go anywhere with this case. Not even possible when she doesn't communicate! I will not recommend her to anyone.

I was married 22 years. I had always worked and taken care of my kids. My husband who had not lived with us for 12 years was now setting a poor example for my daughters. Lisa was on EPA as good lawyer offered discount. I met her told her 10,000.00 was my limit I did not want to fight, or service him paper, just wanted out safety with kids. Now we go to a lawyer because we don’t know the law. Lisa ok, shouldn’t be a problem, he was military… Its ok we can cover it. All Lisa did was stress me out and take more and more money, cancel court then quit. Because of all the stress, she could have stopped our family, was completely broken apart. I am a Mother not a lawyer. Nothing explained, well this could happen so this is a must. I was never married before paid for his first 2 children. Now my twins are separated. A way for Dad to keep partying and not pay support. I couldn’t and wouldn’t in good Conscience recommend this lawyer to my worst enemy. After getting things finished I will report to the bar 20,000. Nothing then quit now trying to get more money. Shouldn’t be practicing. Watch your bill!

Hired sralla with a $5k cash retainer for my divorce.
How much work did he do? Only filed my divorce petition.
Never answered my calls or emails.
Then he assigned another attorney to my case.
Complete waste of time.
Go elsewhere.
Stay away from sralla and his office.
He'll have you talk and talk while running the meter on your retainer all the while pretending to care about you, but it's only your money he cares about.

Kevin Sralla had my case lost before it even began. He is not knowledgeable in family law , he isn’t even aware that in custody, a client has an option to choose a jury trial instead of a bench trial in Texas. Allowed opposing attorney to set up everything on a timeline that wasn’t even feasible , the other attorney saw how little he knew about family law and took full advantage from the start. My new attorney has undone most of the mistakes that were made by Kevin and we still have a chance in this case. Had I kept Kevin as my attorney , this matter would of been over with 6 months ago and me and my children would of been in a much worse situation than when we began. At the initial consultation, I let him know we were dealing with a very high conflict individual and I needed the best. Instead of admitting this was something way beyond his ability and referring me on , he just happily took my retainer and still has it , 10 months after I hired him. I have never received a final bill or refund. I don’t want this to happen to anyone else.

Awful experience with Maranatha Lingerfelt. She told me everything I wanted to hear in our initial consult, only to completely mishandle my case. She would go weeks at a time without responding to emails or messages, and even neglected to tell me about a hearing until I finally tracked her down a week after the hearing happened. We met on two different occasions solely to discuss poor communication, and each time she made excuses, apologized, and promised things would be better. I ultimately had to drop my case because of gross errors made on her part. This isn't just my opinion, I consulted with subsequent attorneys during and after, and both confirmed gross errors were made on her part. Based on her reviews I expected a pit-bull in court but got a neutered pomeranian. We spent many hours in prep meetings, getting photo evidence, police reports & compiling teachers, counselors & witnesses; NONE of which were used in court when I thought they would be.
We paid MANY TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars for her to cripple our situation, by not only loosing custody I had, but also costing me support for my kids that refused to even go to the other party's home because of the abuse they endured there.
The very next attorney I hired fixed everything Sinoski broke in only a few months for 1/10 the cost and the other party was no longer allowed to even legally contact again. She's obviously helped SOME people, but she DESTROYED us emotionally, mentally & financially when we trusted her with our family.

I hired Carla and my experience was much different than the other reviews. She and her office weren’t prepared and I felt she wasn’t aggressive as opposed to my ex’s attorney. I felt like she let a lot of important issues go by the wayside and in return the opposing counsel kept the upper hand.
