I can't say enough about this law firm. I got injured ,wasn't sure where to turn. A friend recommended Setareh Law, they helped with my medical needs, was in constant contact with me, did not do what a lot of the horror stories I had heard about lawyers do. Laura Butuke seems like a good lawyer and she partially is which is why I'm not giving her just one star. But when she had an opportunity to do some legal leg-work to ensure that our parents' house was passed from my father to my mother without reassessment after he died, she instead took the opportunity to get the house reassessed at market value and added to probate along with all of my father's other assets. I've asked multiple attorneys after the fact and they have all said the same thing: this could have been avoided.
Conveniently for her and her only, this added greatly to the lawyer fees that she charged us at the end of probate. This also means that we will now be paying $7,000 more per year in property tax for the rest of the time that we choose to own this house. Really greedy and sneaky BS. I do not recommend her services.

I spoke to Waylon about the firm and booked an appointment to see Laura. A hour before the meeting Weylon called to confirm, that was a red flag that I ignored. Laura explained what the approval process was and that it could take sometime to get approval given my families situation. I decided to become a client of the firm and sent in my retainer and notified the firm. When the check did not arrive I got an email asking about the check, there was some back and forth. Once the check was received and cashed I heard nothing. I called and asked for status, I emailed and asked for a call back so I could understand what I should expect.
Low and behold I got an approval letter and wasn’t sure what to do - was that it was anything else required?
I sent another email no response, finally frustrated I called and told the receptionist that I was very frustrated that no one has called or emailed me back. After the phone call I got an email from the firm congratulating me on the approval.
Once they got the check there was no communication. The follow up it terrible and unprofessional. I’ve had better service at McDonalds.

In the middle of trial the man handed me phone in the holding cell and told to speak to my wife about taking a deal. Now what makes him great is that I understood that if he is doing that the sheriff, da (Morris) and the knew because he would not risk his livelihood for a kid out south central. So if you get him as a state appointed let him juice it.... He will get a deal from th D.A. he went to school with to keep his buddy's #'s up.

I had been in great suffering, mentally , at the thought that I may have had an outstanding warrant. It was pure paranoia because of a chance conversation. I called Mr.Swarth out of pure desperation and mental anxiety, he scoffed at first (as anyone would) but he checked my file free of charge, on a hunch of his , I guess, anyway, turned out I had a warrant and he called me immediately to inform and counsel me as my intuition was true!!!!! It took 2 days and the payment of a fine.....$50,000 WARRANT...Lifted, gone. AND...AND 5 years of probation with really stiff constrictions...GONE!!!!! And He has filed to have my record expunged!!!!! I have no idea why people do not like lawyers...This guy is a CLASS ACT!!!! ...He even bought me a coffee at court and offered to hold my cellphone as the bailiff had a problem with me .....A1 guy and EXCELLENT lawyer!!!!!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Richard from our first zoom call to our follow up visit signing our trust documents. He did not rush us and he spent a considerable amount of time answering questions about things we needed to know about our parents trust as well as the one he had written for us. Karo was able to help me with my case, i got pulled over after coming home from a bar because I did not have my headlights on and the officers breathalyzed me and I blew a .08 and had the car towed. I barely had anything to drink so I thought it was a little odd. But I’m so thankful I did not get a dui nor a wet and reckless!!! Thank you Karo for getting my case to a reckless driving!!! Mark has been excellent representing me and my wife on our fire victim claim that ravaged our home and lives from the "Camp Fire" disaster. We actually had other lawyers, firms, before finding Mark who personally works our ongoing fire victims claim. We stayed with Mark, and his firm, because he cares and follows through, stays in touch, listens, gets things done with great results after others had done nothing in comparison. The great thing about Mark is how he always finds time, he as well as his delegating to his staff, to reply to our emails and calls when we seek feedback or advice on our claim. So many lawyers just cut off all communication and let your case solve itself, even doing so without care for larger social issues that impact their case. Compared to several good lawyers and firms we have dealt with throughout life we put Mark in the top 2 %, if not the very top lawyer, especially when considering the nature of our claim, how devastating our losses were, his understanding of that and how to legally represent us to keep our winning case moving forward. The fire victims still have some way to go till the whole matter is finalized, and that takes real endurance and dedication on the part of any attorney. So, we are thankful to have Mark there for us to see everything through to the best end possible. Men like Mark, and his firm, his partners and staff, see the larger social picture that others don't fully consider. In that sense Mark goes above and beyond the call. Not too long ago, some of the businesses in my community had barriers in their facilities which excluded people, like myself, with disabilities (mobility impairments) from accessing goods and services.
After contacting, consulting, and hiring Mark, positive results soon followed: those shameful barriers of exclusion, which had existed for years, came tumbling down as they were removed by the business owners.
Thanks to the many ADA betterments, which were executed as a direct result of the settlements negotiated by Mark, I am able to live more independently and to participate more actively in my community. My family and I now have more location options where we can shop or get services in an accessible manner. I feel, thanks to Mark and his Team, that I, never again, have to put up with being excluded from everyday activities, such as shopping at a corner store, going to a neighborhood restaurant or movie with family and friends, or using the swimming pool at a hotel on our family vacation. In my community, the action taken by Mark and his Team has truly resulted in a reduction of discrimination against people with disabilities and has opened doors for full participation in all aspects of everyday life for me and my family.

Did you hear the one about the lawyer that you can actually like? I didn't think so. Well, probably because you have not heard of Mark Potter and his incredible team. Lots of lawyers claim to be fighting for you, but most all of them are just fighting to get some extra padding in their wallet. Mark, being an ADA lawyer is out to fight the good fight with his clients in making an ignorant and inaccessible world more aware and accessible. Sure, the Americans With Disabilities Act was written with the intention of making America accessible for all, but the follow through and observance of the stipulations have been slow, if not completely lacking. Yes, the Department of Justice has a wing set up to handle complaints about entities, but they are so overburdened and understaffed they fail miserably. I met with Fran Campbell and Nima Farahani this afternoon for legal guidance on a judgment filed by my former landlord. Peter was an absolute life saver to me. I had not dealt with DUI issues before, so when this all began, I knew I needed a good attorney. I originally liked the fact that Peter had been a prosecutor before working as a defense attorney. My case was a bit complicated, but after I got into the process, I did see that Peter made a great difference. When I was working out the consequences of my DUI, I saw that other people with the same BAC that I had were assigned to the nine-month program at OHS. In addition, the same people that were assigned to the 9-month OHS program were assigned 14 days of the Work Project Program - I would have lost a lot of income if I had been subjected to such lengthy programs ! I was given three months of OHS classes and only 4 days of the Work Projects Program. That is an amazing testament to Peter's skill !! Before my Arraignment, Peter indicated to me everything I needed to do to get a reduced sentence, and I did all of it. I didn't want to bug Peter too much while the case was in process, but I did waste some money on bail bonds because I hadn't contacted him... I could have been out on my own recognizance !!!! Peter will help you immensely; keep calling him about those minor details, he won't mind. He would prefer to do a great job for you. That is way his service is a great investment.

Peter was a guiding light for me during a very nerve wracking period. I received a misdemeanor and a potentially steep fine, and did not know where to turn.
