I was ensnared in a corupt child protective services juvenile matter (DCFS) and my 2 children which started in Dec 2007. although it was dragged out in local juvenile court over the next 2 years in a manner which was done as a punitive means by the temp judge- He helped ensure my children weren't taken away thru that time. I knew my civil rights and those of my children's were violated from day 1- I am blessed that he responded to my massive blanketing of law firms, and that he is an expert in the field of suing CPS DCF for violations of rights. I learned that the smartest attorneys, one's that know they would accept a civil rights law suit against a government group but get actively involved at a much earlier stage can work miracles. This the is the greatest attorney of all time, nothing but god sent. He made me realize my calling and have a business because of his heaven sent sole, compassion. He made sure my child was never in the care of the unethical people the devil sent. He made sure she was set free from corrupt practices from judges and social services. He is following the land of the laws, he is honoring the Constitution of the United States. Mr. Powell is honoring the Bill Of Rights, puts a stop to violation of citizens 42 U.S.C 1983. Robert represented my ex-wife and was definitely one of the best lawyers I have encountered. My attorney was VERY expensive and I was truly disappointed. She was not able to stand across from Robert in the court room. I had noticed his knowledge in the law and his real life experience combined made one of the best arguments.
Years later I remarried and my current was just finishing her divorce and custody case. Her lawyer at the time was very passive. We hired Robert and let me say what an honor to have him on my side! Aside from what he can do in the court room he is VERY compassionate with his clients, always available and will give you all the facts so that you can make informed decisions about the next steps.

When Josh came onto my case, I was an emotional, scared client who had experienced a traumatic & complicated wrongful termination. Not only did he demonstrate an incredible understanding of the law & a tactical supremacy (on more than one occasion, he made the defense absolutely defenseless), he immediately put my mind at ease by explaining why it was important to fight this case.

Josh was referred to me by another attorney.
Essentially my case revolved around a mid-2020 cancel culture event with my employer. This resulted in my wrongful termination along with Josh unpacking a number of other claims as we sifted through my almost four years of employment.
My understanding was that the employer, over the years, had mistreated me. Josh knew the law and precedents that tied to the mistreatment. The list of claims was long.
At its core, my case was about an employer that irrationally reacted to a troll site post on social media tied to a post from me. While the company had invited everyone to share ideas, because it declared it was open to receiving ideas, I posted a further sharing of conservative ideas. This did not suit the political views of the employer. Not only was I wrongfully terminated, but the employer also defamed me in the process.
After almost a year of pre-trial litigation, Josh was able to secure a very good outcome that resulted in an excellent economic settlement and resolution of non-monetary issues. Josh cared about my non-monetary issues and not just the financial settlement. That meant a lot to me

I searched for about two hours for a civil suit attorney in San Diego. There are many, and I spoke with three. Jennifer was outstanding, and I definitely found our new attorney. My wife and I have three small businesses, and run into issues sometimes. Jenifer was available to consult us within an hour of speaking with her team, called us on time, and spent 40 minutes with us over the phone... she never brought us fees or retainers the entire time. Shaun Murphy is the best Attorney ever! My experience with him was a personal injury case. I contracted an STD from a man that I had been dating long term, who forgot to tell me that he had herpes before we had sex. The devastation, embarrassment and humiliation was unbelievable. My self worth was gone forever, or so I thought. One night I was watching the news and heard of this Attorney who had just won a 4.5 million dollar law suite for a simular case. I had no idea one could sue for something like this. I called his office the next day, told my story and he took me on as a client. Shaun is dedicated to these types of cases, so I felt no embarrassment when I had to discuss anything with him or anyone in the office. When I felt hopeless, Shaun always brought me strength. He was sure we would reach a settlement, which we eventually did. We had to fly to a different state to meet with the X and his Attorney. Four hours later, we settled! Year after year, we have been told by other lawyers and are school district what are son can't have for his disabilities. Even though in Wrights Law, says it's a law, and he needs it for his disabilities. Until we were referred to Marcy and Tiffany by a person with a professional Special Education background. Nothing could be more frightening than to have your child brought home to you, bloodied and beaten up. I have never felt so vulnerable and helpless.
Initially, I tried to handle her legal needs myself—calling the police, contacting her school, and petitioning for civil restraining orders against the juveniles who assaulted my daughter. We encountered a court system that was unhelpful, that favored the assailants because they had a lawyer, and that unfairly subjected my daughter to insults and reprimanded my 16-year-old daughter.
I interviewed a few lawyers and kept being told to talk to Todd Spitzer because of his expertise in victim’s rights. Hiring Spitzer turned the case around for us. He was consistently respectful, and his advice was always on the mark. Spitzer invoked my daughter’s Marsy’s Law rights (the California Victims' Bill of Rights Act of 2008, which Spitzer helped become part of the state’s constitution). He represented us in civil court, where he was able to get temporary restraining orders continued through the criminal proceedings. With his representation, my daughter was treated respectfully.
When the District Attorney moved to prosecute, Todd Spitzer, under the provisions of Marsy’s Law, represented my daughter in court, talked with the District Attorney, made a successful argument for full restitution, and relayed my daughter’s remarks to the judge. This saved my daughter from being further victimized by the courts and relieved her of the trauma of having to again be in the presence of her main attacker. The guilty plea in this criminal assault case was one that all other attorneys I talked to said was unlikely if not impossible. Todd Spitzer made it possible, negotiating with the defense attorney and making sure that my daughter’s rights were upheld and that her interests were fairly represented.
At each step along the way, Todd Spitzer kept us fully informed about the process and was always available to answer our questions. My daughter’s ability to pull through this trauma is related to a great degree to Todd Spitzer’s ability to obtain justice for her. He gave her confidence, and he made her feel supported; he transformed her from victim to survivor. We are grateful for his commitment to victim’s rights and to doing what is right.

Raza and her partner were able to help me with an outstanding warrant of 2 years of which I had no idea I had against me until I found out through a background check done on me. I called upon Raza of Margolin and Lawrence when things looked very grim for me coming up on trial for a felony DUI. I was referred by a close friend who had hired them. Unacceptable experience. See my feedback below to the firm after having an awful experience on what was a very simple request.
"The manner in which your firm has been communicating with me is bizarre and almost robotic...On top of that, there was no material explanation as to why such fees would be necessary. For your reference, I reached out to two of your competitors, all of which promptly responded to me via email with a normal conversation and discussion that involved a human back and forth with questions, and elaboration on my request. It was refreshing. Secondly, the potential fees of up to 4 hours for $550/hour for a reaffirmation were referred to as "ridiculous" not only by your competitors, but from other out-of-state counsel that I have worked with in the past. On top of that, some of which offered alternatives that require no fees whatsoever. In conclusion, the manner in which you conduct business and communicate is not only seemingly fee-driven instead of sincerely helping the needs of a potential client, but also not a fit for me."

I was arrested for concealed carry charges and Don did a wonderful job to help me get the best deal. I was going to be convicted of felony in Santa Clara county. Don spoke with the DA and I recieved a deal on my first court date. I was originally going to get a felony but it was reduced to a misdemeanor with court probation for two years and no weapons for 5. He still helps me to this day with anything and everything pertaining to my case. I am in the process of getting my record cleared. If your having trouble with any gun related offenses I would give his office a call. He's just an all around great lawyer.
