I could not say enough kind things about this man . I owned a small hobby farm in upstate NY . I was charged with doing something illegal against the animal welfare act and it was brought down to NYC. I originally hired a firm that told me my case was a win win no problem as they were just collecting money. After a one count conviction in a five day Trial in NYC. I fired the lawyers and hired Richard who was highly recommended by my civil lawyer to handle Post conviction and the sentencing and appeal. It was the best decision I made. Richard is tough but fair and the judge that tried my case in the southern district at sentencing even praised his work . Richard also met with me and the probation officer for sentencing It was very reassuring to have some one in your corner that is fighting for you for me it made all the difference he explained everything and did not let me believe lies thank you for everything Richard.

My journey was a very long one to say the least. However, working with Rakesh allowed me time to see the light at the end of my darkest tunnel. I’ll plea the 5th with the details but imagine doing a 5k run towards the trooper fund and loosing over 14lbs of weight in the process. It was the most expensive workout plan ever lol (I can find the humor at my own expense now that it’s over). The odds were not in my favor at the start line but with Rakesh’s support I was able to finish the race breathing freely. He advised me in the right direction, remained blunt with the facts, and reassured me to the end. To my disbelief he was able to work out every one of my “multiple misunderstandings” and if it wasn’t for his credible knowledge of the law and court processes, this may not have been otherwise possible. Although we had our moments, at the end of it all I cannot thank him enough for his hard work and time devoted to my case and for ultimately keeping my reputation intact! I had my initial consultation over the phone and followed up with a visit to his office. Michael reviewed all my documents I had in support of my request and thoroughly explained the process to me.
Through out the time I retained him till the sealing of my record, Michael and I communicated via email and phone calls.

Derek was recommended to me after I received my first ever DWI charge. I was very nervous about the journey ahead and all that it would entail. Derek was there every step of the way. He helped explain everything so that I understood what was happening at each court hearing and what would be expected as follow up. I was going slightly over 80mph near the I-87 / I-90 interchange near Albany. I hired Mr. Kehoe based on a positive consultation. He offered to comp his fee if it went to trial. I ended up getting the ticket plead down to a parking ticket - non moving violation. I learned about fine around a week after my trial date. I am happy with the result.

We have used Randall on a few occasions over the course of 5 years for speeding tickets for teenage drivers. Randall allows us to handle over the phone or via email, allowing us to have a "paper trail" of all of our conversations. Randall has handled multiple incidents and we've also referred him to others that have used him as well. His handling fee is due up front and is very reasonable. He sends us copies of all communications he sends out, and then gets back to us with the plea deals and handles them in court without us ever having to even step foot in a court room. Randall is a name we remember by heart when referring him and while we hope to never need him again, should we need a traffic lawyer, Randall is our guy!

Matthew Simone was a life saver for me! He got my DWI and refusal to submit a breathalyzer down to an open container where I only paid a fine, completed an alcohol evaluation, and a short course for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). My arrest record, finger prints and mug shot were sealed and my license was not suspended for a year for refusing the breathalyzer. I also can travel freely back and forth to Canada where my girlfriend lives because of Matt. I was stopped at a checkpoint, only conducted one field sobriety test, did not conduct a breathalyzer test, and was respectful and cooperative with the police. If you were swerving in and out of lanes, stumble out of your car, blow over a .08, and are rude to the police there is only so much that can be done. However, Matt will still fight for you to get you what you want. Remember to set proper expectations and know that a majority of how your case is going to play out depends on your behavior that night. Matt’s communication was also great! If I had any questions or concerns about the legal process he would answer them swiftly and take the time to ensure I understood what was happening. His legal assistant Joselyn was also spectacular! She would get back to me in a timely manner as well and always sent me what I needed, even if I asked twice and forgot that I already had what I needed. 10/10 would recommend! Hopefully we won’t cross paths again, but if we do it feels good knowing Matt is on your legal team!

Adam Militello was instrumental in getting my DWI reduced to a DWAI. Thanks to Adam, I have no criminal record. (DWAI is a traffic violation in NY state.) I have been able to move past this experience - and now have a new job in a highly regulated industry. Background check for the new job came back completely clear. What a relief that my terrible mistake doesn’t ruin my career. Adam also advised me every step of the way on what I needed to do to position my case in the best light before I went to court. I met Benjamin back when I was an adolescent aspiring to be an attorney and he was my younger brother’s basketball coach. Ben’s family and mines would travel along side each other as our boys played travel basketball. We all bonded over meals and shared hotels. Ben supported my dreams and even let me tag along on his cases to experience the real deal. Who would know a decade later I’d need him to defend me, I was at the wrong place and wrong time. I ended in jail , and with 5 felony charges for a crime I did not commit. I was told I would get 3 years in prison and i was having a very hard time in jail that I ended up on suicide watch . I suffered domestic violence, I had to leave the house with my son with only the clothes on my back and our lives saved and go to a Safety & Change shelter, I have documented and video evidence of all the violence suffered by me and my son, I have video of my husband's betrayal with another woman. I sought help from the Legal Aid Society because I am undergoing pre-cancer treatment. The Legal Aid Society said they could help me and they did. I was referred to the law firm de Moya & Assoc PC I arrived at the office scared of everything because domestic violence is very difficult, we suffer a lot, we lose our dignity, faith and many other things and we also run out of money. What I heard from de Moya & Assoc PC was; I have to accept my husband's lawyer's conditions because the duration of the marriage was short, 2 years in January 2024. How many years would I have to suffer this violence to be entitled to my personal belongings under US law? I am writing this rant to share with others who experience domestic violence in my case at de Moya & Assoc PC it made it clear that I am not entitled to anything because the domestic violence I suffered was for a short period, HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO SUFFER DOMESTIC VIOLENCE TO HAVE ANY RIGHTS? so I don't even have the right to my personal goals, I took what was placed outside the house, just a few things, de Moya & Assoc PC said that I have to accept the lawyer's conditions My husband, if I don't do everything, I will have a big problem with the Judge and I will have to pay my husband's lawyer a small fortune.

I asked Larry if he could write a legal opinion letter for a DWAI in New York State. DWAI is a unique charge because it is a traffic violation and not a crime and is less severe in seriousness compared to an ordinary DWI. Larry authored a letter explaining what a DWAI is and this letter has proven to be useful for employment and other scenarios. I needed another letter for another purpose and Larry was kind enough to do this for free. He didn't ask for any more money or expect anything in return.
