I was so lucky to find Morgan Lake when I did. I bought a Jeep in Puyallup, Washington, drove it for 4 hours on I-90, then watched one of its wheels suddenly sheer off it at the studs. The dealership was unwilling to make things right, so I got in touch with Lake Law to understand my options. I, a Florida resident, felt properly lost trying to pick up the pieces after being cheated by a Washington used car dealer, but with Morgan's help, I had what I needed to get this issue resolved.

Personally answered my call after midnight on a Wednesday morning, I had to be in court in one week he was there, 105 miles from his office. Chris and his team got me enrolled into everything that would help my case that first weekend, continued my case till I had completed all required tasks while out with no bail. I would highly recommend choosing Matt to represent you. I hired Matt and was impressed throughout the whole process. He has your best interest in mind and works toward the goal you both agree upon. I was in a truly hopeless situation before I was referred to Ms. Miller by a coworker. My daughter was in a terrible, volatile environment with a mentally unstable mother who was failing to perform basic motherly duties. I felt powerless to the situation. Jennifer was immediately encouraging from our first phone call, and jumped on getting the necessary papers filed for emergency custody. She worked with me and my family to get my daughter permanently out of the situation and living with me.
She was able to articulate the situation to the judge perfectly, as well as work with the judge to formulate a parenting plan that includes not only protections for my daughters wellbeing as she grows and is allowed more time with her mother, but also allows me, as the custodial parent, to monitor her mothers mental state. The plan requires regular updates to the court and to me about her mental health treatment, and protects my daughter if things take a bad turn in that regard. My daughter is thriving and happy today with a healthy routine, and none of this would’ve been possible without Jennifer’s extensive knowledge of the WA State legal system.
I always felt like I was being taken care of with Ms. Miller. She is a powerful force for justice and was excellent at explaining the process as time went on. She kept me updated throughout, but did a tremendous amount of work behind the scenes filing papers and drafting documents for the case. She always made herself available if I had questions about the case, and gave me great advice on how to address certain situations with my daughter’s mother as they presented themselves.
I will forever be grateful to Jennifer for everything she’s done for me and my little girl. Her can-do attitude is infectious, and her vast knowledge of the legal system put me at ease during the most difficult time in my life.

Coleen is an awesome lawyer, got arrested for a DUI, she was the first person i called for help, very patient walked me through the whole process. She fought for the whole way and got my charges dramatically reduced. Do what ever she says in the time she sets, if she tells you to drive to Redmond for your DUI class and victims panel its for a good reason.
I will be recommending her to anyone I know that needs help with the law.

This lady probably prevented a stroke! Out of deep worry and need for help, I was lucky to find her in her offices, long after everyone else had stopped answering their phones and gone home. A person in my family had gotten herself in some deep legal problems and I was in no financial position to retain a lawyer. Coleen spent an hour and a half of her own unpaid time, explaining the law and the consequences and how to work around the system, without having to pay the thousands other firms would of charged me. Without Coleen and with my medical conditions, I'm certain I would of suffered a stroke from the stress. I was facing a felony charge for something I did not do. I I contacted Coleen immediately after getting arrested for a free consultation. Thereafter, she went above and beyond what was required of her to provide free legal advice to me across a period of three months. Many other lawyers that I tried to contact simply ignored my emails or charged a consultation fee.
Subsequently, as my case progressed, I retained Coleen. Thanks to her contacts and experience, she was able to eventually get a hold of the deputy prosecutor to persuade him not to file any charges!!
Throughout this entire harrowing episode, Coleen has been a steady and reassuring source of strength for me. She patiently dealt with my incessant questioning while always keeping me in the loop. Couple months ago I got into an at fault accident; rear ended a car. There were no injuries and no major damages to the second car, but I got a speeding ticket, that could increase my insurance rates significantly. I have contacted Andrew and explained my situation; it was easy to talk with him, and got clear answers to all my questions. After consultation (it was free), Andrew took care of my ticket. In one month the ticket was dismissed, and I got confirmation letter in my mail. Alex represented our son in a civil and later criminal case. From the very moment we contacted him, he showed he cared for our son’s wellbeing & took charge of a very difficult case. I got hit with a TPO full of false allegations in Kitsap County out of the blue stemming from a dispute with my HOA (ironically involving other false allegations). After hiring Alex, he immediately got to work and provided invaluable guidance every step of the way in getting the case together. By the time we got to court, we were so prepared that we never even got to testify, the judge threw the case out in our favor after the petitioner's story completely fell apart. I was almost disappointed to win so quickly, as we had so much more to go over! I had total confidence in him every step of the way. I called Alexander's law office from the Sacramento airport while I was on a layover where I had to be in court in Seattle to respond to a legal matter. He only had about 18 hours to prepare and defend me, yet he did so in impressive fashion: CASE DISMISSED.
He educated me on the what to expect in a legal process before we entered the courtroom and walked me through a mock Q & A scenario on what to expect at the time of my hearing. It was exactly as he described with the exception that I didn't have to do any talking at all because his explanation was so sharp and to the point that he blew the whole case apart in one session without dragging my dear friend into the case who was called as a witness when she did not want to be used as a scapegoat and set up to be embarrassed by questions unrelated to her. He really knows how to thread the needle to help protect everyone all while reminding you that YOU, THE CLIENT is always his main concern.
No less important, his fee structure is extremely honest too. I was expecting to pay one amount much higher than what he actually retained from me, but actually ended up with money back that I had considered gone.
Finally, after our victory, he sat with me for about 35 or 40 minutes and just gave me true down-to-earth legal counsel and advice on what to do moving forward to avoid disputes like mine all while telling me about alternative options if I ever need him again. Put this guy on retainer, it's a no-brainer in the adage when it comes to him.

Ms Carey is the consummate professional. I hugely regret not switching attorneys when another (medical) professional suggested I do so after I had retained an attorney and was in the throes of the challenges of securing legally entitled services for my child. I consulted with her, and she was kind, compassionate, and responsive. A great listener. She cared about my child more than my money. I ultimately decided not to switch which was a mistake, and I may still end up retaining her. She seems to be the best: smart, focused on what is best for child (not her wallet or ego), and wise in the ways of SPS. Do not repeat my mistake if SPS is making it hard to get what your child is legally entitled to.

I've met quite a few lawyers in my life (some who I feel ripped me off), and I have to say Ann is one of the kindest and most generous lawyers I have met. She's extremely intelligent and truly knowledgeable in the areas she advertises--and others such as divorce. Ann is also doing my will. I honestly think she could handle any type of case...
Ann also has excellent assistants who are knowledgeable and caring, and give you a warm feeling.
Ann did some pro-bono work for me, and I didn't have to ask! I got more than I paid for. Needless to say, I was pleasantly shocked.

I have known Ann Carey for almost 20 years. We first met when she offered services in the Juvenile Detention System and I was a Chaplain there. I interviewed several other attorneys to represent my family member and decided on Robert. From our initial conversation he made me feel confident in his knowledge of the law. He was relatable and personable. He was honest, straightforward about possible outcomes and was GREAT at communicating. His fees were comparable to other reputable defense attorneys.
My family member was exonerated because of Robert's relentless hard work. He stayed on the procesecuting attorney's office for any/all discovery, requiring them to review evidence, body camera, dashboard footage that the prosecutor didn't even bother to consider reviewing before bringing charges. Robert was so skillful in pointing out the deception and false reporting by 2 different law enforcement agencies. All this without having to go to trial.
He was always a good stuart of our money, checking in with us and letting us know prior to spending against the retainer.

I received a speeding ticket ( while coming from Seatac to Seattle on i-5 ) for first time in WA few months back. I contacted Stephanie and she made the whole experience seamless and very easy. She was very professional and nice when I spoke to her for the first time. I sent a scan copy of my ticket and rest everything was taken care by Stephanie. She basically took care of my ticket start to end and I never had to worry about it.
She got my ticket dismissed to non-moving violation.

I first contacted Ms. Havens after being charged with a violation on a deferred prosecution agreement in 2014. The agreement had been set up by a previous attorney in the summer of 2012, and due to the new charge, he no longer wanted to work with me. After explaining my situation through tears on the phone to Ms. Havens, she asked why my case had not been referred to King County District Court Mental Health Court (KCDC MHC).
It was the first time that I had even heard of the institution, and after a quick Google search, I began to wonder the same thing. I had been diagnosed with an axis 1 mental health disorder in March 2012, and it was the reason that my case was previously granted a deferred prosecution. However, there was no structure to hold me accountable for my own actions besides the occasional probation meeting.
After a consultation at her office in Seattle, my family and I hired Ms. Havens to represent me. She was successful in having the new charge referred to KCDC MHC, where it remained in probation and monitoring until the case was closed in 2017. There were a lot of ups and downs in the case, and Ms. Havens remained on the entire time.
I cannot recommend Ms. Havens enough for anyone seeking criminal defense help. She works tirelessly, and is a fierce advocate for her clients. From the moment she came on board, she made things clear: she would help me, as long as I was willing to help myself.
Ms. Havens made it very clear that this would be my final chance to make things right and really pushed me to be honest in seeking help through psychiatry and therapy. In advocating for me to be a part of the Mental Health Court structure (which was not easy, given the reservations of the other parties involved, and yet she still worked to get me the opportunity), I was given the chance to learn about what true accountability means. The MHC required me to take a rigorous domestic violence intervention program based on my probation officer’s recommendation, to which I was resistant. However, Ms. Havens advocates that people go into situations with open minds and willing to learn. I feel that I matured greatly in my time working with Ms. Havens and really learned from her, and the tools she advocated that I have.
In short, Ms. Havens is highly empathetic, yet provides tough course correcting guidance to her clients. She is intelligent, eloquent, and advocates for people as if they were one of her own. Anyone in a sorry situation would be lucky to have her as their legal defense. I know I was.

I was involved in a collision with an uninsured motorist in Fall 2023. Dan is the Man (as an Attorney)! Plain and simple. I had two city charges (DV and Resisting Arrest) against me that was ongoing with another defense Attorney. The prosecution was absolutely stagnant for nearly 2 years, and I did not believe our initial Attorney was a good fit anymore to get the job done. A family member recommended Dan Fiorito instead. I switched to Dan mid-prosecution. He took over and shortly thereafter got the DV charge officially dismissed. I then took the Resisting Arrest charge to trial and Dan won my case after a full 3-day trial. His courtroom skill was levels above that of the City Prosecutor. The Jury unanimously acquitted me, believing in Dan's convincing arguments over our opposition. I plan to seek Dan's help in pursuing a Civil action against the city as well.

Jenn Kaplan was by far the best attorney I've ever had. I've been represented by a few lawyers over the years and she is the only one that treated me like we were working together and she is amazing at her job. She spent days going through my discovery and looking through legal precedents to prepare for a pre-trial suppression motion that resulted in my charges being dismissed due to 4th Amendment violations. I offered her extra money after the case was dismissed because I was so happy with the results, and not only did she refuse to take it, but she drove half an hour out of her way so I didn't have to wait for the bus in the rain, and explained to me how she was able to use the illegal search to get the evidence suppressed and that the prosecution knew if they lost the motion they would also lose her motion to dismiss. She also does a lot of pro bono work for animal rights and holds seminars for people to familiarize them with the law and how to deal with police officers. She has a 3 part video on YouTube that anybody who wants to know what their basic rights are and how to avoid being tricked by the police into saying something you might later regret. I would recommend her to anybody no matter what the charge. She works hard, keeps you in the loop, and even though she's a brilliant attorney, she explains things in a way that makes you feel like she could be talking to one of her colleagues. I got her number from a friend who's been in trouble with the law a few times, and he said she was the only lawyer who actually made regular visits to visit him in jail to keep him in the loop about his case.
