I was originally appointed to Mr. Ketner and he ended up being the best if not one of the best lawyers I've had the pleasure to deal with and of course to represent me. I had been dealing with this particular case for over a year before I met Travis, once he took over he kept me well informed of my rights and my options in the case.. Two months later case was closed!!!
I hired Travis for a separate case, 5 months later he got the case dismissed!!!

I was arrested for a DWI in Dallas and refused the "tests" and the other b.s. offered by DPD. Had a nice stay in Lew Sterrett overnight and called him the next day based on a friend's recommendation. They had me on video calling the cop a liar (he is) and not being very pleasant. Jake set my case for trial and about 18 months later got my case dismissed. I'm very happy with the outcome of my case. He also filed an expunction for me because that charge remains in the system regardless of outcome. Thanks Jake! You're the best!

Linda Akwa represented me in my Daughters custody case.
My case was a complicated case. My Daughter's grandmother opened the suit claiming she had taken care of my Daughter for over 6 months and was trying to take her away from her Mother while the whole time my daughter was living with me. After a few appearances representing myself in court I saw the complexity of this case and decided I would need legal representation. I talked to several attorneys and none stood out, assistants could not answer most questions, lawyers were taking too long to call back, some said they would not take on my case, etc. I talked to Linda's assistant and she was able to answer all my questions and her office was always responsive. I don’t normally write reviews. This will be the 2nd review I’ve ever posted in my 46 yrs of life but Mr. Michael Lehmann deserves it. He is sincere, honest, kind, and an amazing advocate for his clients. He is very, very amazing at communicating. The first time I met Mr. Lehmann I was coming off the elevator trying to get to my sons hearing. Mr. Lehmann let me know that the hearing had started early and they had postponed things but as a mom who got their 30 min early and still missed seeing my son I was devastated that I wasn’t there for my son on time not to mention the obvious heartbreak I was dealing with my son being in the circumstance he was in. Mr. Lehman sat with me and explained everything to me and answered all my questions. I was crying and had so many things going through my mind but he was so kind and understanding and calm. He never made me feel like I was wasting his time. He fought for my son and got him a very fair sentence. Mr. Lehmann helped put my faith back into the justice system. My family and I feel very blessed to have him on my sons case.

Ever been accused of a crime you were innocent of, signed for probation, and then miraculously find yourself in standing before the judge listening to these beautiful words, "Not Guilty"???? if not its because you have never been represented by this man, Michael A. Lehmann, this was near a decade ago. It really happened, and yes i was charged with DWIWACI... An open and shut; your automatically guilty type situation. I, didnt do it and had just signed 10 years of my life away and been made financially responsible for the near 100,000$ in restitution's.But two days before my time for appeal ran out something happend , new evidence, new facts. Mike was my pda at the time. Meaning PUBLIC DEFENSE ATTORNEY. Meaning the months that would come to pass in motion hearings, time spent with criminal investigators, time spent with toxicologists, literally hundreds of hours. Where absolutely not spent in an hourly+retainer situation. I dunno what pda's typically bring in annually, but to the point, it was never about greed, or lack of shame, or MONEY. It was the fact that Mike new i was innocent! As well as the fact that he believes in JUSTICE! What we have here ladies and gentlemen is not some, attorney at law, or gumshoe pi, or snake in the grass defense lawyer. What we have here, is an Officer of the Court, who believes in justice, and is not afraid to stand strong in the face of overwhelming odds for others, simply because of those last two stated facts. On March 8, 2023 I was involved in a serious car crash when a truck leapt over the highway traveling from the opposite direction, hitting me directly on and totaling my car. I was taken by ambulance to the hospital and suffered a lower lumbar back fracture and torn meniscus as well as many other injuries. I was terrified, and so was my family. The car crash changed so many things in my life that I am still recovering from today however, the one thing that gave me peace of mind was when I hired Jason Winton. Jason was so patient and caring. Mr. Bisbey has proved himself over and over to myself and my husband as being the BEST ATTORNEY around - he is very trustworthy, reliable, decent and knowledgeable and this is hard to find. He cares about his clients and always looks out for them. You can trust him. Can't say that about many attorneys as was the case he just handle - a real estate transaction wherein we were the lien holders of a note and were supposed to have been paid at the time of the closing but this did not happen because the other attorney failed to collect our money and gave all the proceeds to his clients knowing that we had a first lien on the property. I originally found Mr Burns and a desperate fight for the custody of my children. I had a car accident about 3 years ago, it was the other Drivers fault. I tried handling it myself with the help of my family as we have some knowledge of the process of filing suite against the Insurance company. I filed the Civil Lawsuit a few days before the 2 year statute of limitations. We thought we would hear back from their attorneys but Allstate tried to have the suit thrown out 4 months later for not moving forward with the process.
Long story short, I retained Kimberly Fitzpatrick to represent me on the matter when it seemed that the case was about to be thrown out for the above reason. She was able to pull the lawsuit out of the gutter and not only get me the $7500 I paid in Medical Expenses, but also got my lost wages while working as a Server (I was in College at the time of the Accident) when the Restaurant was not willing to give the proper documentation to press the issue of the wages in Trial.
Kimberly got both amounts of money out of the Insurance Company plus $2000 over through a Settlement when it seemed like the Judge could've thrown the case out for it being too old. What she accomplished with what she had to work with was nothing short of Magic. I highly recommend her for Civil Suit because I could tell from her tenacity and work ethic, She would have been the Defense Attorney's worst nightmare in trial.
My only complaint is that she waited until we were in the mediation to settle to start picking holes in the case. I will say, they were issues that I could see hampering the case at trial. Mostly, the lack of documentation for my lost wages would have taken $4000 off of the final amount. Most likely, pain and suffering would not have covered that amount. Ultimately, a Settlement was the best course of action that led to the largest amount of money I would have received.
You WILL NOT regret hiring Kimberly Fitzgerald.

First of all I wanted to say that with the help of Kimberly Fitzpatrick, my case got dismissed.
Disclaimer: do not take my word for legal advice.
In short- I was arrested for scavenging an abandoned (bait) car. This was early November.
This was my first offense.
At the time of arrest I was working self-employed less than 15 hours a week for my father, mother, and mother’s friend. I was also a househusband. I feared that the lack of employment, community participation, and education (I am a non-graduated junior student at the college level), and my age (23) would negatively impact the outcomes of this charge.
The first court date was December 3rd. That day I did not successfully get a lawyer so the court date was postponed to the 13th in order to give me time to get a lawyer. I had emailed Anna O’Day because she was one of the several lawyers who sent me mail. She sent me a detailed report on how she would handle the case. (Deferred Adjunction & said that I was not qualified for Deferred Prosecution Program (DPP)). After reading her email I was impressed and told her she was hired. For three days I did not hear back from her. She was consistently stuck in court each time I called her secretary. It was December 12th. I got desperate and discussed with my girlfriend to see if she was willing to look for the best lawyer, so I checked avoo.com and saw an AD for Fitzpatrick. I did not screen out lawyers based on practice. If I recall correctly, Fitzpatrick’s cases only consisted 10% in criminal defense. She is more experienced & specializes in a different type of law. Anyway, I called her that day and immediately had an appointment at 2. I had withdrawn 625 and kept it in my wallet for O’Day- her price for “three court appearances”. I was unsure what exactly three court appearances meant. But after three days of unavailability, I got scared and went to Fitzpatrick instead. She offered to stay with me through the case for 1,500. That seemed more of a solid contract than “three appearances”. What if I needed 4?
So, right then that day, the very day before my second court date I hired her and within 15 minutes she got my first court attendance dismissed.
She works extremely fast, is very knowledgeable and pushes the limit. O’Day said that I was not qualified for DPP since I was above 21. But Fitzpatrick said she would shoot for that and she attempted to request an exception since I was barely above the age limit. Fitzpatrick’s devotion towards getting the best results for me was very obvious- but she remained honest and practical with me. My only issue I had is that she sometimes would skip out answers to a list of questions I asked. But she is very busy and works fast, so I can’t really blame her. I just ask again and she will answer it on the second time. She is very tech-savvy. She answers via text or email.
She suggests that I get a job, get in school, get character letters, and do community service before my case was even heard. I had success getting in school and I got plenty of character letters from various influential people. I did not have success in finding a job, and I was not motivated enough to do 40 hours of community service hours.
The court hearing- Fitzpatrick talked with the DA and I could see that she had excellent people skills- It seems to me that her actions and attitude helped a lot to making the DA decide that I was eligible for dismissal! I had to take Theft Intervention counseling and perform 24 hours of community service where I completed at Mission Arlington (THEY ROCK.)
So today I got the dismissal documentation in email. Fitzpatrick had far exceeded my expectation of a “best case scenario”. I will go straight to her again if I need an attorney again in the future.

If you are researching attorneys, stop reading reviews and hire Jean Brown immediately. After being divorced for over seven years I was able to obtain custody of my 14-year-old son thanks to Jean Brown. Changing custody on a child this age is almost unheard of but Jean knew what it would take and how to accomplish it. This wasn’t some slam dunk, smoking gun as you might think either. It was a very difficult case for anyone. I have to say that my experience with Jayla was great. I started off with two misdemeanors, both of them for assault. She did an awesome job the whole time and was able to get the first case dismissed altogether, the second one she managed to settle with no jail time and just a minimal amount in court fees. She was very responsive and worked extremely hard to get both cases handled. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Wade was really great and helpful ... while in jail and post jail he worked with me and my fiancé to resolve numerous descrepancies in a case against me. I was given a plea deal by the DAvand it wasn’t looking good for me but I wanted to continue to fight as I was innocent and he did his best to continue my fight in court. With all the documentation gathered we proved my case. He didn’t accept the plea deal fought for me and my case was resolved as it should be ... I am thankful for his efforts and willingness to work with my fiancé when I wasn’t able to because we beat the charges ... I didn’t get time (2 years in prison) but a brief reinstatement of my probation which will be completed in less than six months ... with no more reappearances in court and only once a month check ins to my probation officer. I will soon be after man with my background cleared. It’s because of not quitting continuing to fight proving my innocence and this great lawyer / public defender. Highly recommend him ... he will do good by you.
