From the initial interview with lacilento it seemed a little shady. First he said how much did I quote you? He hadn’t quoted me so I yet airballed 2k? He charged me 5500. Before he was involved I had some contact with my little girl. 6k later I have zero contact with my daughter , I was shocked when he asked for more money. I was shocked he charged 2k for 30 min we were in court . I was shocked when he charged me 450 for a 4 minute phone call . Nafiz M. Ahmed, and Shari Sukaram represented me in two cases in Alameda County. Nafiz and Shari where both responsive and clear in communication with me. They made sure thru email, phone, and text messages that I was aware of court dates and what dates I needed to show up for. Giving me a reminder before my court dates. Do not retain Mr.Quinnan if you are in need of an actual advocate. He is sadly a cog in the broken machine. When things get tough he won’t be there for you. He is a man’s man in every sense of the word and I’m sorry that I made the mistake in trusting my life to him and his partner Peter Kuykendall. In my most crucial moment they deserted me and blamed it on the “fine print.” I guess speaking the truth was simply too much for these boys to handle. not a huge surprise there. Buyer beware.

Wail and his staff are unlike any other! From the moment I requested an appointment, Desire was very kind, understanding and with great customer service. I was provided with an appointment the following day ( Thursday ) didn’t expect to be seen or to be helped since my court date was Monday. I had been dealing with a Domestic Violence case that was overlooked by Orange County court house in January. Not only did Wail reopen my case, but also helped me with child custody. Hired Sam last minute, literally 48hrs before court, and with how prepared she was, you’d think she knew my case for months. Her coordinator, James, was phenomenal in gathering the information and putting the packets together for her. She kept it 100% with me the entire time, things she thought the courts would agree to and told me when to back off of other items. I hate to say we “won” our case because in child custody matters, it shouldn’t be able winning or losing, but she got exactly what was best for my child. And that is all I was concerned about. She was concise, articulate, to the point, with poise and a firm no nonsense tone in her voice she breezed through the hearing. I couldn’t be more happy with her and her team. They came together in a rush and we can a successful outcome. In a moment of panic, she had me take a moment, talked over things, and prepped me to face the opposing party. I haven’t felt that confident around him in years.

From the day that I walked into meet with Jeff and Dayn it has been a pleasurable experience. I was forced to hire an attorney when my ex filed a motion for full custody of our daughter even though I had been the custodial parent since birth . After making a few calls to law offices I made an appointment to meet with Dayn Holstrom.. I have worked with Dayn, Jeff and Mariana throughout my case and I have never been disappointed. I was very comfortable with each of them. I never felt nervous at any time throughout my case. Before I hired them, I was representing myself and it has been very scary. They did a great job in representing me and won my custody case for me. I have an upcoming support hearing and I am comforted by the fact that I know I have great representation. Dayn agreed to work with me financially. Had he not done this I would have been fighting this battle alone. Dayn’s firm is the first and only attorney I have used. Edward Ajlouny claimed himself being very experienced in his field and failed my case completely- he didn’t do any discovery, didn’t submit any documents to the court, didn’t subpoena the documents he supposed to get for the court, he didn’t explain the laws. He charged money and never returned anything. He was constantly on vacations. Then he said these cases are not appealable and I filed for the appeal. After he didn’t want to give the case materials and go over the trial results -
The appeal is not a new trial - what I have now on the appeal is your work I will have to go over.
I respect my time and efforts. I am also a lawyer. As a fact, you didn’t do your job for my case. You have two weeks since today - if you don’t comply with the laws, I will do what I said.

What can I say about Russell and Logan, along with Anna Yum and the rest of the incredible team....they saved my life and got me back home to my family!
From the start Russell was very skeptical and realistic of my charges, and the likelihood that things would go my way. As our relationship grew and more details and facts about the case came out, things slowly started to change. He and Logan really started to believe in me.
As the case kept going, with the DAs reluctance to see this for what it was, Russell, Logan and Anna, continued to have the difficult talks of the realities and risks of continuing on towards trial, and not agreeing to take a plea deal for something I was innocent of. I appreciated their willingness to have the hard talks. It was an incredibly horrible position to be in, but with their belief in me, it helped me push forward. Unfortunately the DA did push things to trial.
Right from the start of trial, I couldn't help but feel confident. From Russell's unmatched experience, and his incredible mind that is always thinking of every angle and working non stop, to Logan's cool, calm presence and complete control of the courtroom. They were the perfect team! They bounced questions and ideas off each other the entire trial. Their preparation showed every step of the way. They were always courteous to the judge, related things to jurors, had great questioning of the witnesses, and came out on top with every exchange with the DA.
Results were unanimous not guilty verdict within one hour of deliberations!
Russell and Logan were total rock stars from start to finish. Anna Yum was amazing and knew exactly the right pair to assign to take on my case. 5 stars in every way!!
I would not only refer them to any one I know that finds themselves needing a defense lawyer, but I would not let them go with anyone else!

I used this firm to assist in the acquisition and bill of sale of a small business. They were awesome. Our close cycled was with in 45 days and Richard was always available for questions and new drafts. (We worked weekends when needed, but not sure this is always available). Richard is intense and very keen on the details. I wont need another firm in the future!

Lisa intentionally tried to instill fear into me regarding the potential outcomes of a Restraining Order and then charged me nearly $10,000 but did nothing. The case was dismissed by the judge and she was not even in court. She literally met with me for one hour and that was it. I won't forget what she did. I strongly do not recommend anyone use her.

Initially I wanted to give 1 star, but ultimately, I am grateful that attorney Jason Stones was very responsive to me during a time of desperation, extreme stress, and panic- whereas my previous attorney kept me completely in the dark about everything- even as my child custody hearing rapidly approached. He was also able to get my ex's attorney to agree to a PPA with only days to spare until my trial commenced.
Now for the negatives:
During the initial hearing, my ex's attorney was making what felt like direct and personal attacks against me to which I felt didn't get enough pushback from Jason. I didn't feel like he was for me as hard as he should have been.
He also never made a reply declaration to my ex's reply.
My ex made several terrible allegations against me, which resulted in me being investigated by Social Services. Jason didn't do the work to speak with the social worker to find out what the conclusion of that investigation was, or obtain a copy of the report from that investigation. Luckily, I did, and the reports conclusions completely refuted my ex's allegations. After I read the report, I told Jason that we should be submitting this to the court. His response was that we couldn't do that because this was "not an evidentiary hearing."
For me, that was the last straw and I moved on to another law firm with attorney's that DID submit a reply declaration to my ex and DID submit the report from Social Services. I'm not sure how they were able to submit the report even though this was supposedly not an evidentiary hearing. Funnily enough, that very report was brought up repeatedly by the Judge as she admonished my ex for withholding my son from me and now, thanks to a different firm, I have had my visitation restored and joint custody established.

Aweful experience. I was handed a folder full of "how much money and how many magazines I've been in". Then they declined our case even though a ventura doctor was the main cause of my father's sudden passing because it wouldn't make the law office millions and he told us Ventura county is allowed to hire D- doctors. Now we lost our dad, the doctor kept practicing and my mom struggled for years because my dad was the bread winner.

Sadly I must review my experience with this law firm. There appears to be MANY negative reviews with similar complaints regarding this firm, too many actually and date back over a decade. Check for yourself on Google, Yelp, BBB, Pissed Consumer and other sites. Hindsight, I should of used the clinic at the courthouse that offers assistance with legal matters. This has been the most devastating burden in our life and based on our experience and opinion it appears to point in the direction of recurring issues that resonates with other posted negative reviews.
I can offer some constructive consumer feedback to help protect the public before hiring an attorney. (FYI: The information below is available for public consumption)
*Check the State Bar Website. DONOT hesitate to use it to follow up with a bad experience.. It's the insurance to protect the public and defer misconduct and unethical behaviors. Its success hinges on the public's help.
*The State Bar Client Security Fund may be of assistance due to an attorneys dishonesty.
*Check the attorneys business information on the Secretary Of State website. This is a Tall Tale if you understand their procedures and codes.
*Attorney cases can be reviewed at the court house.
*Review your billing within 5 days and if you see any issues (such as: is the retainer fee depleted without any completed work) inquire in writing immediately! The billing practice should not be "creative and collaborative " immediately start to make notes on the bills and DOCUMENT DOCUMENT. Save all correspondence, invoices and statements. If threatened with severing of representation over billing questions: STOP DROP AND ROLL...
*READ the contract, it may seem ok on the face.... is it UNBALANCED to the unsuspecting?
*Maintain a call log.
*Note "complimentary services" then bill you ( court reminders which by the way are generated by the court for free).
*Free consultation, then bill you. Give your head a shake.
*DOCUMENT EVERYTHING.
*It's important for every consumer to help protect the public with hopes that law firms have significant insight to their oath and professional responsibility. If you suspect foul play due to indiscretions meet and confer with the District Attorneys Office.
One more thing: "we treat you like family" it's a cliche. ("A cliché is an expression, idea, or action that has been overused to the point of seeming worn out, stale, ineffective, or meaningless" )

I’d contacted William’s office this past Sunday, fully understanding that perhaps I may not get a callback until the next business day. My goodness, I was so shocked and thrilled to get a callback from William within just a couple of hours! Our friends were at the airport ready to fly home when they were taken away by TSA agents and we couldn’t understand why. William took down pertinent information and immediately got to work. I could tell he was working tirelessly to get answers because his communication skills were beyond amazing. I didn’t have to worry about not hearing from him at all. Happy to say that my friends are back home without any issues. I’m truly grateful for William’s hard work and dedication for my situation. He’s now saved as my favorite in my phone. I WOULD HONESTLY GIVE 0 STARTS IF I COULD!!! REEL FATHERS RIGHTS IS HERE FOR YOUR MONEY AND NOT YOUR RIGHTS!
I would run like your hair is on fire there is nothing good to say about this corrupt practice. I spent over $15,000 in 2 months with Reel Fathers Rights not doing ANYTHING for me. When I said they did NOTHING they really did NOTHING the only thing I got out of it was a scheduled FaceTime call with my son. We were supposed to go in for a custody battle (with LOADS) of evidence that would have made it an easy case yet NONE of the evidence was provided and nothing was even talked about. Heath was the one to suggest we push back the hearing for my case back (so they could keep stealing my money for the next 2 months).
THEN after the case I was not and still have not be contacted AT ALL about what was actually done during court (this was in January). It has been over 3 months and I was not been reach out to by anyone except the billing lady even after I reloaded my “trust” ($3500) TWICE (paid them $7,000) when the firm wasn’t even doing anything and I had 2 months until we present all the evidence that I had already been billed for and paid.
I have called them multiple times to try and get that paperwork and everything that they have “filed” and spent with my $15,000 I have paid in the last 2 months and I have yet to be sent anything except for a bill.
During my time having these guys as my attorney the best part was firing them and finding a new attorney. BUT (not to my surprise) when I fired them my “trust” went from $700 all the way down to $200 so it essentially costed me $500 to fire them and of course there was no explanation and there were charges added that didn’t occur and I can prove.
I have never felt like a company left me worse off than I started with but this firm is TERRIBLE. Heath would tell me “we should file this” then when I would give them the go ahead to do it then he would turn around THE NEXT DAY and tell me “ah nah let’s not file that anymore not worth it” EVEN THOUGH I HAD ALREADY PAID AND BEEN BILLED OVER A $1,000 FOR THEM TO DO IT!!!!
I really don’t want YOU to have this experience as I know MANY MANY MANY others have had the exact same experience as me so please DO NOT let this firm steal your money switch to an attorney who is cheaper won’t add and make up fake charges to bill you for and actually does there job. (Such as saying that you had an hr phone call with the attorney when you didn’t and have phone records to prove it). I know there is many people who have filed a complaint with the California bar against these guys which goes to show how bad and corrupt of a business they are running.
Heath baker is the laziest attorney I have ever met, will not represent you in person, wastes time on your call (that is $600 an hr) talking about things that are not relevant to your case whatsoever, and will not follow up after court or even send an email. There is a lot more that I could say and share from my experience but I think that you get the point by now.

Reel fathers rights is not a place that is in it too help fathers. They are in it to rip you off and steal your money during my time with the firm. They were extremely poor with any communication and wait until the last second in the middle of the night to review or do any of my documents along with charging 600+ dollars per hour Attorney fees, and they charge on top of that to file every single little thing, including any communication between anybody ever and after my account was closed when I fired them, they had proceeded to With another 800+ dollar bill you’ll find a photo attached of the billing document after they have been fired and before they have returned my remaining trust. And during my time with them, they claimed my attorney went on vacation, but during the time they actually had to let her go, and they had to move one of my court dates saying that they had to be another court case And resulted in me having to pay all of those fees for them to change my date I do not recommend this firm. They are not accommodating with anything. They have no tolerance policy the second you get upset that they’re charging so much money they threatened to leave you. I fired this firm on April 5, 2024, and this billing statement is April 11, 2024
