Haslam & Thorne, APC were amazing to work with from the beginning. With their specialty dealing in law enforcement divorces, I felt very taken care of. Michelle walked me through the process and kept me informed every step of the way. In instances where I needed further clarification, Michelle was patient and made sure I had clear information. I hired Laura after interviewing a few lawyers and I have not regretted my decision to hire her. Laura helped me with a difficult custody case and was very knowledgeable not only in family law but understood the financial issues very well and she also advised me about custody violations. Peggy has all what you need as a family law attorney. She is super sharp, intelligent, attentive, considerate, and detail-oriented. She always put the long term interest of my Child first and pushes me to do the same and the right thing. She protected us, fought for our interest hard and fairly, helping us win full custody, which is a very difficult thing to do. Ms. Kohannim began working with me after I had to fire two attorneys. They had dug a hole so deep, I did not know what to do. It is my deepest regret that I did not know of her at the beginning of my custody battle. Ms. Kohannim is a talented, astute, and shrewd attorney. Her thoroughness out distanced any other attorney I have seen throughout this horrible experience. She is not only a gifted attorney, but, she also deeply deeply cares. She cared passionately for not just me, but, the interest of my son as well. I found Ms. Kohannim to be meticulous in representation of my case. She did not hesitate to go head to head with opposing counsel when it was merited. She also knew when to back off if merited. She knows her stuff and was always more prepared than my wife's attorney. Crazy ex and her new man accused me of harassing her. It was a scam to get more child support. Roger Grass did the family court part of the case and Roger Lampkin did the criminal part of the case. They work together. Victor from their office helped arrange bail IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. Karen helped with the paperwork to get more custody. Roger got the criminal case DISMISSED. The other Roger Grass went to court with me and clobbered the ex. I'm happy - especially with the price for such great service.

I have sought the professional advice and assistance from Robert Sehn on a number of occasions. He is always been responsive, thorough, informed and objective in his assessments. As important as it is to have some one to represent you in a time of need I have found it to be equally important for someone to be able to have the understanding of a circumstance and the wisdom to know the potential outcome and effectively communicate with you so you know your options before the process starts. Ms. Bronson handled my very contentious divorce and custody case. The day after I first met with her, she got me an order removing my abusive husband from our home! She also got a court order so he wouldn't keep harassing me and the kids. He tried to get sole custody. Three court hearings later, the judge gave custody to me and gave him every other weekend as I requested. Also Bronson discovered that my ex had two bank accounts in two different banks that I knew nothing about - he claimed the money was his and he did not have to split it. My attorney got copies of the bank records and showed his attorney that it all first came from his pay check and it didn't matter that the money was in his name only. Bronson made repeated demands to my Ex's attorney to settle it out of court - I would have agreed to a lot less than half of the $345k that Bronson told me was half mine. We ended up fighting over it and a lot more in court. My attorney did a fantastic job proving my case. She is eloquent and gifted in the art of persuasion. Also, she used a life size white cardboard exhibit that had a diagram showing how the money got to the accounts with his name only. She argued that he intentionally hid the money and that he, not me, should have to pa y my attorney's fees. The Court agreed. If you need an attorney, I would highly recommend Martha ... Not only is she an amazing attorney, but you certainly do not want this spit fire of an attorney on the other side of your case.

Wow!! Mr. Carbone and his team has helped put my family back in order with his unbelievable talents in the court room. I was paying out the wazoo to my ex and barely seeing my child and Mr.Carbone assured me at the consultation that he could fix it for me. We went to court and after he started i thought to myself "This guy is out of his league, he needs to be in a big city with big shot attorneys". So I hired the lawyer Karen Suri this year for a modification of a restraining order/ visitation for my son. In this case I was the respondent for the case. Honestly, she was great, she answered all my questions in a timely manner and assisted me with those tough and private questions I had. Since this isn't my scope of practice I had a lot of questions :). She arrived promptly the day of the hearing and has kept me up to date with what is still left pending on my case. She even went above and beyond to contact the opposing party to explain the the details of the case. She was great and I would definitely recommend her!

Amazing results!! I am so thankful for the team of Shelly Jean John and Stephen John and their excellent partnership as they managed my case to end the alimony payments to the ex-spouse. Stephen’s paralegal writing was excellent as he created the Request for Order for my case and took the time to ask me the detailed questions needed to present the facts needed by the courts. Shelly’s partnership with me was appreciated, her team’s timely communications kept me up to date as the case progressed through the courts, and the judge for my case worked well with Shelly also-always a plus! Dean Masserman represented me in me a complex interstate custody battle. I am very happy to say that the judgement was granted in my favor where I retained full psychical and legal custody of my child with zero court ordered visitation to the other parent. Like most, I never expected that I would find myself going through a divorce. This, however, was not the worst part of it. I was served with a temporary DVRO from my ex-wife that was full of the most slanderous statements that I ever could have imagined and an expressed desire to move out-of-state with our 6-year old daughter. I was feeling scared, desperate, and nearly without hope.
I was referred to Mr. Burton by a dear friend of mine and I wasn't sure what to expect. However, within a short period of time, he and I found our way to craft what we believed to be a winning strategy.
We were outspent 5 to 1 and went through a grueling six day trial. But, at the end, we kept my daughter with me and I feel a tremendous amount of gratitude to the work and dedication to the truth that Mr. Burton demonstrated during our shared ordeal.
With my divorce final and my daughter near me, I can, without hesitation, state that if I had any other attorney, I doubt my life would be the same.

I have an adult deaf and special needs daughter. When I got divorced when she was 6, it was determined in our agreement that her father would continue with support payments even after she turned 18. Unfortunately, he did not honor our agreement.
Janet was able to not only make him realize and hold true to his moral and financial obligation but was successful in getting back pay as well (without having to go to court). Additionally, she was always very responsive to my calls/emails.

We hired Jamra and Jamra for a volatile divorce and were super happy to have Michael Hanasab handle our case. There were lots of scary issues to contend with regarding child custody and allegations about unfairness in the divorce proceedings. Michael gave the best advice, although I wasn’t the best at following it, I did end up getting full custody of my children. I wish that all of this never happened but am very grateful to Michael for being the voice of reason. He was able to defend a lot of the unjust accusations and kept a calm demeanor throughout all of the drama. I will always be appreciative of Michael’s knowledge of the law and his ability to apply it with such precision. He is honest, reliable and professional. I was in a very stressful and critical phase of my divorce where I was being accused of some pretty untrue, but lethal things that could have caused me to not get the custody of my children I wanted and deserved. I hired Mike and he came in there and made the "clutch free-throws" when it counted. He responded perfectly to the opposing council. We ended up going to court and he walked in their looking highly polished and confident, not arrogant and made the opposing council so nervous, they had no choice but to back down and give me what was fair and reasonable.

I hired Michael (along with Grace Jamra) in 2011. I came over from another big firm as I had been disappointed with the direction of my ongoing custody case. At the time I hired Michael I was facing more litigation and hearings and an evaluation. Michael was able to talk to opposing counsel and made every attempt to calm the situation. He knew my case inside and out, was reachable when I needed him and guided me through some very tough times. When it came to the evaluation Michael was instrumental in helping to pick the right evaluator (something that took quite a while) and met with me on several occasions to answer any and all questions I had about the process. Needless to say, my case turned around and in the end Michael was able to get opposing party to settle (even though opposing party was adamant about fighting and going to trial).
As for cost, I had to laugh at the negative review here. I was charged triple that amount at my previous firm in a matter of months. The billing with Michael @ Jamra & Jamra was incredibly fair and hugely different billing practices than some of the bigger firms. I never once felt I was being over billed or double/triple billed like I did at my previous big firm. Anyone who is going into custody litigation needs to do research and realize that it is an expensive area of law and the more litigation involved the higher the costs. I wouldn't think twice before recommending Michael to others if they needed a good and competent custody/divorce lawyer.

I first went to see Constance for a case where my juvenile child was requesting new guardianship. We reviewed the situation in full. She stated (basically) that she could represent me (and charge me accordingly); but that there was little difference I (or she) would be able to do in this situation. Now, she could have just taken thousands of my dollars, representing me; but instead she told me the truth and suggested that since I knew the case and was articulate - - that I could represent myself (which I did). Later, Constance represented me in a child support case. The courts were asking me for $1800/mo... with Constance's help, the amount was reduced to $600/mo.

Working with Diana was a gift from God. I knew my divorce was going to be messy - our break-up was disastrous - but Diana was fabulous at mitigating the items and dividing it up so that we were both happy. Or perhaps satisfied is a better word - nothing about divorce is happy. Anyway, she was amazing. She knew just the right things to say and kept both of us in our chairs the whole process, which is quite a feat, I assure you. She has a very calming effect. I appreciated how when my husband of 23 years and I were getting divorced, we didn't need to go through the courts and were able to settle our divorce without either of us paying a small fortune to lawyers and the courts to get everything straightened out.
I liked that they were there to help us reach a fair and reasonable settlement and that we didn't need to be at the coruthouse every week to get things settled. It was refreshing to be able to speak my mind about some of the things that I was looking for and I like that they stress peace in the process rather than what than taking everything a piece at a time. It's a more holistic approach to divorce that allows for some emotional healing along the way.
Though this is my second divorce, I wouldn't have aproached it any other way. Courts are too draining and being able to negotiate a fair divorce and settlement with mediation was a very good choice for us.

I can’t say enough positive things about Chelsea. I was the party of a nasty divorce with a narcissist; which is the worst divorce to encounter. After having two previous attorneys that wanted to play games, I hired Chelsea to complete remaining items. Tisha is very knowledgeable. But what I adore most about her is that she is unbiased and I am not her client. My son is. She is a dedicated an impartial advocate of the child's best interest.

If I had listened to Iris when I first met with her, my divorce could have been quick, and very efficient. The most vicious and evil people in the world are not just those who commit blatantly overt crimes, but also those who masquerade as do-gooders, for the purpose of deceiving and robbing others of their time, money, and peace of mind. On the outside they appear to say and do all the right things, as they pursue cover-up careers, and titles that make them look altruistic and charitable to those that don’t really know them. Sometimes they even pretend to be advocates for the bullied and less fortunate. These sorts of people are highly skilled in the deception game, and are extremely convincing actors because they live inside their own heads, and believe their own lies. They lack integrity and ruin lives. Our opponent was such a person; however, she was not able to fool Iris Finsilver, nor was she able to browbeat, or outwit her.
Iris immediately saw our opponent, for the con artist she was, and developed a strategy that exposed her falsified statements and web of lies. Iris uncovered and provided irrefutable evidence that verified that our antagonist committed perjury.
Truth won out because, Iris not only uncovered the lies, she substantiated the truth. We won our case and we were able to move forward with our lives, quite happily, and successfully, and unencumbered, despite the attempts of the most shrewd and crafty con artist we ever encountered.

After sitting five minutes with Vonya I new my case and life was about to change for the good. The main thing she did was listen and supported me and my family from the start.
