Michael was absolutely professional and accommodating throughout the entire process of my custody battle and court hearings. He explained everything clearly and walked me through every document and scenario that came my way. He gave me thorough input to help ME make decisions that were best suited for myself and my family. He is very knowledgeable and often made suggestions to allow me to do some of the research and other things myself to save money. THIS was such an incredible concession that many attorneys will not offer. He was very agreeable with my budget and suggesting financial avenues to keep my case going because I had to see this through to the end. He was amenable to creating a financial plan with me so that I could finish my case. He was clear every step of the way in regards to costs including court fees, his hourly rate, the amount of time each thing would take, etc. He made sure every I was dotted and T was crossed, and every loophole was sealed. I am deeply disappointed with the service I received from Moran, Allen and Associates, specifically from Michael Allen. I sought their assistance during one of the most vulnerable and traumatic times in my life as a victim of domestic violence, only to be met with insensitivity, lack of preparation, and poor communication.
During a critical phone call, Michael began the conversation by dismissively stating, “I do not see abuse here, maybe just him being rude,” despite clear evidence of threats, physical harm, and audio recordings of my abuser threatening violence. This statement was not only disheartening but also invalidating. It was clear that my evidence was not reviewed beforehand, which left me feeling blindsided and unsupported.
Additionally, Michael requested that I rewrite important documents due to formatting issues and made comments about his communication style, admitting, “I’ve been told I don’t always say things the right way.” As a victim of domestic violence, I expected empathy and professionalism—qualities that were severely lacking.
To make matters worse, only days before my Temporary Protection Order (TPO) hearing, the firm informed me they had a conflict of interest and could no longer represent me. This is something that should have been identified at the outset, not at such a critical time. Their mishandling of my case added unnecessary stress and jeopardized my ability to feel protected.
I share this review to warn others who may be in similar vulnerable situations. Victims deserve lawyers who will advocate for them with care, respect, and competence. My experience with this firm did not meet those standards, and I hope they address these issues to better serve others in the future.

These lawyers are not for the faint of heart. If you are easily offended go somewhere else. However, they are straight shooters and tell you like it is. They don’t coddle you. On the flip side I probably wasn’t the easiest client lol! With that being said they didn’t lead me astray. I listened to their advice all the way through my divorce and child custody proceedings. They had great great advice on ways to get ahead of things. The only thing I think they could work in is communication. I felt out of the loop on things at times. Maybe that was because I’ve never had to do anything like this before and no clue what the process was and they’ve done this for so long that they assume clients have certain knowledge. In the end I got everything I wanted and a little extra. Thank you guys so much!

Long story but worth the read... Ginger has been our lawyer since I was very little. Now in my 30s she helped me get my residence card ..She has worked with my entire family. She knows us very well. Getting a divorce is hard...being divorced can be pretty great though (if you have a good lawyer!) That's where Emily at Ellison Law came in for me. I had an extremely contentious and drawn out divorce due to my ex not wanting to cooperate and be civil. In times where it felt like my entire life way in full chaos, Emily's sound advice, level minded strategies, and keen awareness of the divorce process was my only saving grace. While divorce is ultimately painful, sad, expensive, and life-changing for everyone involved, having a good lawyer to help you through it and to help plan for what your life looks like after divorce is so critical, especially if you are divorcing someone who wants to make the process as difficult as possible. Emily had my back at every turn, she fought hard for me in court, and was so thoroughly prepared that it truly saved my life, the life I have now, the stability my kids have now. I had to put so much trust into Emily's guidance and knowledge of the system, and I'm so glad I did. Sarah was a tremendous help in guiding us through creating our estate plan, will, durable power of attorney, and more! There are no stupid questions and she will work with you to navigate the process. She is highly responsive and you can have all of your documents put together quite quickly, the only limiting factor is how fast you respond to her and make decisions :) Sarah is also very inclusive and will provide all the documentation you need for all family styles and couples, regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, etc. I can't recommend Sarah enough!
