I have much pleasure in writing this review on my immigration lawyer, Roger Mark Newyear, Esq. I have never ever written a review on anyone or anything before, but because I decided to see Mr. Newyear based on a review I read on him, I decided to give this a try with the hope that it will be of a benefit to someone else. I have lived in the United States as an undocumented alien for nearly twenty (20) years and was not able to get my green card even though I hired a lot of lawyers and paid them large sums of money for their services. But, I got no results. Then I came into contact with Roger M. Newyear, Esq. He reviewed my case during a free consultation, after which he assured me that I was eligible to adjust my status and obtain a green card. Mr. Newyear was very open and honest with me and made it sound very easy as he painstakingly explained to me in minute details the steps that we will have to take in order to accomplish our objective. The truth was it was not easy at all, this is because my initial adjustment application was denied and I was being placed under removal proceedings at the time. This amazing legal expert immediately prepared and filed my motion to reopen and for reconsideration and vigorously fought for and defended me before the USCIS. At one point the government was even taking the position that our motion to reopen and reconsider was not timely filed, but Mr. Newyear would have none of that. His representation of me was competent, knowledgeable, courteous, passionate and professional. My application was finally approved in October 2014 and I got my green card. Last Christmas, I was able to travel home to my country of birth to visit my wife and family and to spend the holidays with them for the first time in nearly 20 years. None of this would have been possible without the assistance, competence, skill, knowledge and professionalism of Roger M. Newyear, Esq. I am eternally grateful to this outstanding legal scholar and professional and wholeheartedly recommend his legal services to anyone who is in need of it. You will not regret it. Roger Mark Newyear, Esq. is an extremely competent, dependable, experienced, professional and above all caring attorney. He is mostly interested in the welfare, and the best interest of his clients. His practical, pragmatic and honest approach towards solving legal problems is quite refreshing, and is very rarely found in legal professionals today. I was referred to Mr. Newyear's office by a friend of the family who recommended him very highly. I was under deportation proceedings and things were not going very well. I had paid my previous attorneys over $5000 in legal fees, but I could not see how they were helping my situation. On one occasion they did not even show up for my court hearing and had advised me not to appear either. Luckily, I followed my instincts and showed up or an arrest warrant would have been issued for me. Shortly afterwards, I was informed by my attorneys that I needed to give them $5000 more for them to prepare a 440 motion on my behalf. They further told me that if I do not have the money there was nothing more they can do for me. Mr. Newyear took on my representation, prepared my 440 motion, skillfully handled my representation in immigration court, and my case was decided in my favor. I owe my wonderful opportunity to remain, live and work in the United States to the skill, experience and expertise of attorney Newyear.

Mrs. Shako was the best attorney I have ever come across because without her, I would be under the jail right now. Went through an international custody case, ex wife a successful attorney. I interviewed 4 other attorneys before choosing Harvey. He was so well prepared. The trail lasted almost 3 weeks and the result was that I became the custodial parent and my daughter who was living in Italy was returned to the US now lives with me lives with me. Let me just start out by saying no one wants a public defender but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. Samantha Maguire was great! Kelly went above and beyond to get the best outcome for my case. I switched to Kelly after working with an incompetent attorney who attempted to coerce me into settling. I had sole custody of my son (who has Asperger's) for 6 1/2 years. After I recently remarried, my son's father brought me back to court for joint custody and increased visitation. Kelly fought hard, and the end result is that I maintain sole custody of my son and my son's father was mandated to an alcohol and drug treatment program (which he failed to complete) with his visitation REDUCED to four hours per week in a public venue. It is extremely stressful when you are advocating for your child. Kelly is highly responsive, honest and hard working. She knows the law, the court system and the players. She gets the job done with excellence. I will always be grateful. I highly recommend her.

I showed up to Ms. Nunnery's office without an appointment looking for somone to help me with a Worker's Compensation case. She informed me up front that she did not take Worker's Comp cases but she had me sit down and she reviewed all of my paperwork and explained to me what the terms meant, what I needed to do, and answered my questions. She was honest with what she didn't know and said she would look into a few things for me. A week later Ms. Nunnery did call me back with answers for the questions I had asked as well as recommendations for two attorneys that she had spoken with to make sure they could take my case and had experience in my particular injury. This was all part of her free consultation with me. If I ever need legal services in the areas she does practice I will definitely be giving her a call!

About a year ago me and my wife hired Jennifer to represent us in a family court matter. During one of our first phone calls while going over a lot of the information for our first court date Jen was very knowledgeable about the outcomes of the case. She warned us ahead of time what the possible outcomes could be, the best options to take, and things we should do to make our case go as smoothly as possible. She had a very proffesional attitude going into the court. She met us there, went over our reports, discussed with us and made sure everything was correct. Made sure any discrepancies were brought to the courts attention and had them fixed. There was many times my wife and I were not so happy with the courts opinions and actions, but she reassured us that if we were to do everything the court was asking of us, things would turn around. And they certainly have in our case. We as parents are not always perfect, we went through hard times, and a made a few mistakes on the way. But when it seemed like we were going to loose our family and everything was falling apart Jen was there to help make sure that didn't happen. Not to mention that her relationship with the local attorneys and the district attorneys made the line of open communication very helpful. She was able to work out a plea deal with them for us so we kept our family together and were able to prove to the courts that we loved our kids more then anything in the world and would do anything to prove it. A year later, everything is being wrapped up, and we are still a family and still able to kiss our children good night, every night. Jennifer's dedication to my family will always be remembered, and we will always be grateful for what she did for us. She was very affordable and was straight forward with her pricing and there was no hidden charges. She did everything she promised she would, and a lot more. After 10 years and 4 different public defenders, Donna was court appointed to me for a very complex court case with my children's father. She was up against three other lawyers (including the county CPS lawyer) and never once was intimidated! She not only made sure the court understood that we were looking out for the best interest of the children, but she also helped me to navigate appropriate communication with a confrontational co-parent. I learned more on how to deal with "him" than the 8 years of therapy I was in! Detail oriented is an understatement - if you want someone who knows how to actively listen, read a room and strategize in the best interest of your family - she is your go to. Donna was assigned to me by the court when I took my ex boyfriend to court for custody. He took my son for a 6 month visit out of state and decided if I wanted him back I would have to move to NY from AZ and live with him and his parents. I tried to file in AZ for custody but since my son was in NY for 6 month it made him a resident. Donna was very professional, organized, kind and dedicated to helping me to get my son back after not seeing him for a year and missing his 4th birthday.
