Mr. Shockley not only helped me with a wonderful strategy to get my family home back from dead beat renters but also calmed my fears. People who do not normally deal with the Law are somewhat intimated Mr. Shockley made me feel comfortable talking to him and really made me feel he had it all under control and he did he won my case on the 1st court appearance. Mr. Shockley is the best defense attorney I have met and he cares about his clients. I have seen a lot of criminal defense attorneys in my life and most of them barely take the time to learn the facts of a case before they make up some weak argument on the spot in court. That's what passes for "criminal defense" most of the time.
Mr. Shockley is so different. He actually spends time with his clients, asking lots of questions to learn everything that might be helpful. He researches the law before court and actually prepares. Judge listen to him because he knows what he's talking about and he gets results. I would recommend him to anyone who is facing criminal charges.

I hired Lindsay for a divorce case, and a protective order case. I was in a really bad place when I came to Lindsay I was fighting false allegations of family abuse. She was able to help me through my divorce retaining my visitation rights and got the protective order dismissed. I really thought things were hopeless but after working with her she was able to show the courts what was really going on. She was always mindful of what she was billing me and tried to save me money where she could. She underpromised and over delivered every time. If your going through a divorce hire her.

Mcgraw law has been a heaven sent. Our situation (custody) has been extraordinary with many curve balls. I started my divorce process with a lawyer who did not litigate, first of all because I felt that lawyer was highly qualified, but also because I believed that it would be best to try to mediate the settlement for the benefit of myself, my now ex, and for our three children. Unfortunately, and after nearly two years of trying, it became clear that my wife preferred the scorched earth approach and that I needed to hire a litigator. My lawyer recommended that I turn to Sarah Kuhns for the help I needed to bring things to closure.
Sarah quickly understood the dynamics of my case and brought to it her knowledge of negotiating under the threat of litigation. It was a much different approach than I had been trying to date, but Sarah had a detailed understanding of the litigation process as well as a great insight as to how decisions would be made if the case went to court. She provided me with excellent advice on when to accept a part of the other side’s offer, when to reject it, and when to press for my position. She offered advice and counsel and allowed me to make the decisions based on her input. Her understanding of some of the more complex aspects of my case were infinitely helpful to me, and when there was an issue where she had an industry contact to consult, she consulted them on my behalf.
As painful as the process was given my ex-wife’s approach, we were able to come to an agreement at the eleventh hour and arrive at a settlement before facing the judge. It was stressful, but I always felt I had good guidance from Sarah and that she had solid control of the issues at hand. Mr. Hankins has help myself with neurmous cases, all have turned out in my favor with cases being completely dropped or a minimal un-surpervised probation for a 1 year period to then after completion of probation the charges be dropped. These cases ranged from simple misdemeanors to serious charges which could have led myself to be labeled as a felon; although Tim's wittiness save myself from facing the ramifications of the courts. I highly recommend him and I still remember his number by heart for that un-foreseen instance I get another charge. He is a doer and doesn't poke around the subject and can make an officer even doubt himself/herself of what actually happened at the time of arrest. For example, I was 20 years old, 2 months away from being 21, and I caught an underage possession of alcohol charge while fishing, I blantely told the marine police officer I purchased the beer since he stated if no one owned up to it myself as well as my friends would all get a charge, in court the officer showed pictures of the beer in the rear of my truck bed and told the judge I had admitted to purchasing the beer, Mr. Hankins then went on to perceive the marine police officer to be a total num-nuts and cross-examine him in a way that made plenty of loopholes in the officers story. Then the judge ruled the case be dismissed and to the officer who wrote the citation as well as all of the other officers in the court at the moment were stunned at the verdict since I had admitted to purchasing the alcohol and it was in my possession.

When all hope was lost I stumbled upon Mrs. Crawford through a google search. I had no idea of the firm or her excellence specifically. I had, up to this point, my other sought after representation fail me miserably and had been misguided and unruly dealt with by the Chesapeake Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on multiple occasions. I had literally given up hope in that I would never get to be apart of my sons life the way that I wanted to be. With having already spent a great deal of time and money in the matter I was just drained physically, mentally, and financially. For any father who has dealt with our broken system, its supposed ultimate 'judges of character,' and their puppets, you will know that it is not an easy road to travel. With the encouragement of a few and with nothing to lose I went for it one last time. The day I sat down with her in the quiet and rather small but warming confines of her office I explained and expressed to her in probably a quite disgruntled way, as perceived by Mrs. Crawford, my situation. All my insecurities changed within the 30 minutes I was there, of course I was not entirely sold yet but that was just the beginning. Skipping forward to the best part; Now my relationship with my little boy is stronger than ever and so is he, academically, mentally, physically, and socially. I am not saying that Mrs. Crawford can work miracles, you have to go to her with a good foundation in yourself and the reasons for your requests but she definitely takes care of it from there. After all was said and done I felt that I owed her so much more than money.

I was incarcerated because of a domestic dispute in Loudoun County. I've had many lawyers represent me in previous matters and never have I felt more confident in my legal representation than I did with Mr. Seck. As soon as he took my case, he came and visited me at the jail the next day. He came again the following day to make sure he could collect as much information about my case from me as he could. He was very responsive and strove hard to keep the line of communication open, which is difficult for a person who is incarcerated. If he wasn't in direct communication with me he was in constant contact with my family members and worked with me through them. When my court date came he was there early to discuss possible senarios and outcomes and asked me how I would like to approach the situation. I was released that day and everything was adjudicated beyond my expectations and now this criminal matter is behind me. I would highly recommend Mr. Seck to anyone facing criminal or civil cases.

I sought out Mr. Seck after a demoralizing visit to the family court where I learned my out of state court order could not be enforced in Virginia without an overwhelming stack of paperwork that I did not understand and legal expertise I did not have. I found Mr. Seck after doing an internet search. I lucked out.
Mr. Seck was patient as he walked me through the process. Not only did he help secure a stable future for my children, but did so in a timely manner while minimizing the expenses. My case resolved in less than six months. He managed to convince my ex-husband to come to the table and negotiate, something I haven’t been able to do in eight years, resulting in an agreement instead of an order. The increase in child support was certainly welcome. My former husband agreeing to pay the expenses he owed was a big relief. The best part was the comfort for our teenagers knowing that their Dad agreed to the changes and did not have to be ordered by the court to support them.
Ideally, I would not have to resort to the legal system to get the support needed to care for our children. Having Michael Seck on your side makes that necessity the next best thing to an agreeable ex-husband.

My husband has used Mr. Price for several family law issues, and we have been very satisfied with his work and responsiveness, both of which were problems for us with other attorneys. Mr. Price is not a barracuda--he's not out to win--he's out to find a reasonable solution to tough problems, which is what any family attorney should be doing, in my opinion. Laura is the type of attorney that you see on television shows like "Law and Order." She's a formidable opponent, and extremely logical and rational. One thing that I loved about having Laura as my counsel is that even if she asserted that we should take a certain action-----she would still be weighing the strategy associated with taking that action up until the very last minute.
Laura is very STEALTHY. Her mind SHREDS information, down to the finest detail.
In addition to her legal prowess, Laura is extremely nurturing. There were many instances in her time spent with me where she gave me practical advice for my specific situation that had nothing to do with practicing law. She remained accessible via phone and text, even at night and on the weekends.

I was referred to Hirsch & Ehlenberger by a family friend in early 2017 to handle my divorce. Among the attorney's I met and worked with, was Sharon Pederson. During the course of the divorce proceedings, which is of course a very tumultuous time, Sharon took the time to answer all of my questions regardless of how big or small they were, and was the calming voice when times were stressful. Sharon worked alongside my primary lawyer, Brian Hirsch. The case involved my ex suddenly stopping spousal support with out going through the courts and then suing me to stop support altogether. She was my main point of contact and did most of the research thorough discovery. She was always available and supportive. She did an excellent job of combing through the discovery and coming up with data for argument. I always felt like this team was listening to my concerns and input. The outcome was favorable for me. Mrs Gardner took care of our bankruptcy. She was extremely knowledgable in both the chapter 7 and 13 and helped me to figure out which one was the best at helping our family. She was even able to get 2 mortgage liens stripped because my house was no longer worth the amount of the two equity loans. She was wonderful at making us feel comfortable and always quick at replying to our emails or calling us back when we had questions. I stopped in the office to get her help with out an appointment when I was panicked over my husband having his clearance taken because of our financial problems and she brought me right into her office and wrote a letter for us and made copies of paperwork for us and calmed me down as she worked with her scheduled clients in other offices. Mrs Gardner saved my husbands clearance and helped us save our home with our bankruptcy! She is wonderful!

Was most helpful in a Chap 7 bankruptcy following loss of employment. Her skill enabled me to retain my automobiles and two residential properties through the bankruptcy. Her advice enabled me to complete loan modifications on both mortgages successfully, even though she did not represent me in either process. I've always paid my bills on time and managed my money so I never thought I would be in bankruptcy. Then I was unemployed for over a year and my tenants moved out six months into that year. I started out by calling a law firm that said it only did bankruptcy but they kept not getting back to me. I called the state bar to complain and the bar referred me to Fenlene. I really do wish that I had done my research and gone to Mr.Kearney from the beginning. The first lawyer that I hired for my car accident was from a big name company in the area and a friend of mine who used to work for him recommended him so I thought what could go wrong. Practically everything from not getting back with me for two months, to asking me to resend paperwork that I had already sent in, to telling me that he doesn't believe that I would be getting much out of this case almost a year later! Changing over to Mr.James Kearney was a decision I made based off of the reviews on this site as well as his background info particularly the part related to him having worked on the side of the insurance company so he knew how they thought. If I had a question I think that the longest it took for him to get back with me was the days end but it was usually an immediate phone call or email. I also didn't feel as if I needed to constantly contact him as he kept me in the loop with my case every step of the way. I learned more about my case with him than I ever did with the previous lawyer. And I absolutely love how you get him directly and not a secretary that you hoped passed on the message to him. Since he doesn't take on more than a certain number of cases at a time he was able to make you feel like you were his only client. I wasn't just another case to him as he was very concerned about my injuries and hopes that I can get back to my profession some day. Regarding the case itself we settled for everything that we asked for! A far cry from the previous attorney saying that I wouldn't get much at all! He fought hard for us and we didn't even have to go to court.
