TLDR; Martin Litmaer is an excellent attorney who will look for creative ways and fight for your rights to resolve your situation. Hes compassionate, and sees you as a person and not just another case number. His fees are also extremely reasonable give how stressful, disasterous and damaging (financially, mental health, etc.) legal issues can be to one's life, and he understands this. Together we fought a felony charge over the span of 1 year which resulted in the charges being dropped and case dismissed. More below: I little over a year ago, I received a call from the LAPD notifying me that I was being charged with a felony (for a crime I didn't even commit, it just happened that the law had recently changed without my knowledge and I was found out of compliance). Prior to consulting Martin, i had a brief interaction with a public defender (AKA public pretender), who was completely unhelpful. I was then referred to Martin through family. After our consultation I immediately hired Martin. He consulted me on the legal process, and together we went to the courthouse to "turn myself in" and clear the warrant (because, I wasn't actually arrested committing a crime). Martin convinced the judge to release me without bail (saving me $4k bail bond fees on an originally set $40k bail). Over the next year, we had a dozen court dates together and multiple phone calls and texts, devising a strategy to resolve this (what I call it, an injustice). Ultimately, after pivoting a couple times and trying a couple strategies, we found one that sticked, worked on that together and the case was dismissed.

A couple years ago, I had my previous employer fire me based on my health. I immediately reached out to Houman and his team and they welcomed my case. It was a long journey, but Houman and his team kept in contact with me consistently. I even was able to text him, often, asking about any updates from his end. He always kept me in the loop and I was never a step behind. His paralegals also were amazing. When the case neared its end, they spent a lot of time with me in sorting out through the finalization of my case. I had great faith in them and I would genuinely recommend Houman and his team to anyone. I can validate what others have stated on this site. I met and hired Dan in 2014 after releasing my first attorney. It has been a long road for me for the past 5 years on probation. It was really tough, but with the help and expertise of Dan Greene I was able to survive and successfully completed my probation on May 10, 2020. He did an EXCEPTIONAL and PHENOMENAL job from start to finish. Dan cleared the pathway and guided me properly all the way till the end. He saved me from all my miseries especially with my immigration status as permanent resident that I could be facing deportation if not for Dan. It was really remarkable and turning point in my life and my family. He gave me life and freedom. June 6, 2020 I received an email from Dan informing me that he already filed the petition for dismissal of my case on June 3, 2020. I have had several lawyers over the years, from criminal defense to family law. Shaun has always been clear on the expectations of the three cases I have had with him, and bottom line is that he has WON ALL THREE CASES for me. Shaun is always VERY fast with getting back to me through email and text message. One last important issue that makes me give Shaun Khojayan a 5 star rating is that he always answers my questions without eating up my retainer (as long as it is a simple question). lawyers I have had in the past are not about wining my case. The other lawyers I have had are all about eating up my retainer, and I am very grateful to Shaun for not doing this in any of the three cases I have had with him!

Shaun was a GODSEND. My case involved multiple counts of fraud AND possession of cocaine which was affecting my immigration/citizenship status. He crafted a brilliant strategy of separating them into two different motions resulting in both cases being vacated. Mr. Conforti’s honesty, knowledge, and professionalism were a key role in dropping my felony drug charge into a misdemeanor with NO TIME OR PROBATION! My mom was in a very difficult federal case, she was facing at least 10 years in prison For something she didn't do, Jason took my mom's case analyzed it and told me the strategy he was going to use to defend my mom, and just as he planned it, that's how things turned out, thanks to God and Jason my mom is free, the charges were dropped and she never had to go to prison or house arrest. Mr. Polverino is extremely competent and knowledgeable in complicated criminal defense cases focusing mostly on Santa Clara County. My case being excellently conducted from the first court date reduced charges to misdemeanor, to eventually dismissal after multiple court representations over the past seven months. He’s very calm and professional, and promptly responsive either personally by email or through his assistant Debra. I remember he personally called me back the same day after I contacted his office and left a voice message. I was involved in a domestic violent case, and I found Sam through online research. I talked to a few other lawyers before him, but I knew I needed to hire Sam after our initial consultation. We met face to face at his office. He carefully listened to my experience and walked me through the legal process. He is very experienced as he shared a lot more details about the District Attorney office than the other lawyers did, and he knows the current best way of convincing the DA to drop the case. He is also very genuine and down-to-earth. When I ask uncertain questions, he focuses on facts and does not over-promise anything. His legal pricing is competitive among all candidates, and when I asked if there is any room for discount, he honestly told me this was the lowest he would charge on a DA case. After I hired him, Sam and his assistant Debra answered all the questions I came up with. Luckily, my case was rejected before a preliminary hearing, and Sam voluntarily refunded two thirds of the legal fee and helped me request a detention certificate and sealed my arrest record. It was unbelievable. Honestly, I don't want to see any lawyers again. But if I get myself into troubles again, I wouldn't hesitate a second to hire Sam.

I was facing a serious felony charge that had potential to get even worse. Knowing this, I knew that I required first-rate legal representation. I consulted with several lawyers about the case, and after reviewing the options, it was clear as day that Sam was the best choice. I was referred to him by a family friend who practiced in a different type of law, and I am lucky he referred me. Not only did Sam have expert knowledge about the crime that I was being charged for, but he also knew the ins and outs of the court where my case was filed at thanks to his extensive experience. He was able to create a brilliant strategy that looked at every possible angle, which immediately put my worries at ease. In addition to this, he kept consistent communication with me throughout the entire case. Hopefully you are lucky enough to secure Nick as your defense attorney. When I first reached out to him I was a bit of a hot mess. Not sure what to do with my case, Nick took the time to listen. I checked AVVO.COM since LAC Bar Association and Beverly Hill Bar association couldn't find any atty for me..I did not have much money after jailing. since I am a queer with AIDS, I did not want to go back to 'now wealthy arrogant country, south korea'... I was arrested for DUI in Alameda County. Marc was recommended to me by a family member. I did not know whether to hire him before the District Attorney would make a charging decision. Marc advised me to hire someone good to represent me asap because he said that based upon his former experience as a prosecutor, it was much better if I had a good lawyer plead my case before a charging decision was made. And also for the DMV hearing process. The DA decided to not file a DUI case against me!

I was facing a first DUI in SF with fines that would be a big burden on me. Marc basically got me a wet reckless which meant no fines, no jail, and I only had to do certain classes which is very doable for me. Marc also followed-up with me to ensure I would get my restricted license from the DMV.

Jim Gass has done a phenomenal job on behalf of my little brother. His top-tier legal defense instincts, experience and expertise are beyond question in San Bernardino County (SBC). His stand-alone outcome differentiator of having 'won more felony jury trials than any other attorney in SBC,' speaks for itself. I am also a criminal defense lawyer and have been since 1997. Jim Gass was actually one of my supervising attorneys when I was a law clerk and in the first 3 years of my practice I worked with him extensively. He supervised my first jury trial. I have represented co-defendants in cases with him. If I needed a lawyer to defend me in trial, I would move Heaven and Earth to convince Jim to represent me. I am not at all exaggerating. I have seen...I don't know...maybe thousands of criminal defense attorneys in action. I have seen criminal defense lawyers who are flashier and undoubtedly more comfortable with charging people crazy high fees because, after all, being a little full of BS is part of the business side of criminal defense. I don't know how to say this as a positive thing but, I don't think that Jim is good at convincing people to fork over their entire life savings to represent them. He should be because he really is worth it. Jim is exceptionally good in front of juries...exceptionally...really exceptionally. Are you getting that I am saying he is exceptionally good at connecting with normal types of people who end up on juries? And, the other thing good about Jim is that he doesn't come across as threatening or arrogant to prosecutors even though they know he is a threat. So, while other criminal defense lawyers may tick off prosecutors and make them want to beat the lawyer, prosecutors in the Inland Empire courts just kind of know that he WILL beat them. It is that trait that allows Jim to effectively settle cases in my opinion. I wish I could pull rabbits out of hats like Jim can. Anyone who writes a bad review doesn't know what they are talking about and I bet that most of the people who have reviewed him would give him stars that go beyond 5 if it were possible to do it. Funny but, the only reason I am writing this review is that I have a former client who I just gave Jim's information to so I had to look him up on the internet to get the number. Those people will be in good hands if they hire him.

When we were looking for an ethical attorney to represent our son, it was a daunting task. We interviewed many attorneys, but after meeting and speaking with Matthew Izzi, I knew that he was the one to represent our son's defense. I felt he would approach his defense with integrity and respect for our son, and he did. Matthew doesn't fall into believing false accusations of articles written, community pressures and opposing counsel stacked charges, he develops his defense based on facts, based on the truth for his client, our son. He assured our son of his defense plan and collaborated with our son on the best way to develop his defense strategy. Matthew's demeaner in the courtroom is professional, no matter how much opposing counsel tries to pull his strings, he remains calm and forthright. He addressed injustices that were made against our son and explained many facts, of the truth, that sheds a bright light for the jury to see and that light doesn't go out, for that is what the truth does, it shines bright. Matthew gave us hope, something the DA tried to destroy. The Shasta legal system is a process of delays, unnecessary jail time --for our son, questionable decisions made by appointed judges, unfair bail , this is 'not' a justice system in our point of view. This was frustrating for us and for our son. We experienced many injustices during my son's trial by opposing counsel and Shasta Sheriff dept. So you need a good lawyer when you are in Shasta's court system. If you are looking for a good defense lawyer consider Matthew, he cares for his client's well being, despite the uphill battle he faces when dealing with the opposing counsel's unprofessional behaviors, different judges and Shasta Sherriff/Probation dept., etc.. One more comment, if you read anything written via yelp, social media or in the newspaper, that is negative about Matthew's character, by certain people in Shasta county, don't believe them, they can't deal with Matthew being so good at his job and believing in our son's account regarding what really happened. God knows the truth and the yappers negativity against my son, will be dealt with by God. When stacked charges are brought up against your loved one, you need an attorney who will represent your loved one, in an aggressive, professional, intelligent and smart manner. The highlight is-- you need Matthew who will believe in you and will work diligently to prove your loved one's innocence. Our eviction case pushed Curt & his co-counsel team to their limits in every way, & they pulled through w/ flying colors. Our case, while practically over in our favor, instead of being a normally 1 month long UD, still lingers on after ~8 months not because of Curt, but because our opponent was ruled to be one of the most mean/obstructive Landlord attorneys out there, w/ over 20 years experience, & have an endless dirty playbook they launch against tenants which puts them at the top of the list of infamous, notorious Landlord attorneys- they are also a high volume Landlord side firm w/ HUGE resources & they do everything possible to bury & overwhelm their opponent, to run up costs & force missed response deadlines. For the first 4 mo, just to keep up w/ them, Curt had to dedicate his complete resources to our case (virtually shutting down his legal practice). Curt was able to get each of their mean legal tactic stricken down, & then, icing on the cake, got the judge to slap them w/ one of the largest (if not the largest) sanctions (penalties, like contempt of court) ever for their mean/obstructive behavior. Judges almost never give much sanctions, so Curt (& team) winning us that monster one was no small feat. I was present at many of his most important court motion hearings in our case, and closely read through the endless court hearing and deposition transcripts, digesting his responses, counter arguments, & lines of questioning. I could go on endlessly about all the twists & turns that he had to overcome, but suffice it to say that given our case has pushed all the boundaries of UD law/process, he has demonstrated himself to me to be an extremely competent, legally knowledgeable, adept, tenacious, & caring lawyer (& person). He has great instincts w/ the SF civil Judges, depositions, and real-time litigation strategy. W/ Judges, he’s actually very respectful, takes allot of abuse, rides the line to stay on their good side and builds a solid history and rapport. In depos, he’s got amazing instincts. His instincts to discover criminal/foul play in physical evidence were also very impressive. I was also amazed at how he can dig into and own all the endless facts of our extremely complex case. Most all other attorneys would just gloss it over, and ignore/miss key (even hidden) evidence. He also great on client communications stuff, and is very open to client input & guidance when helpful, yet is always polite and frank when it is not. He is extremely respectful, and has almost zero ego/elitist trips of most lawyers. No games or angles… he’s a strait shooter! He knows his court procedure pretty well, and is a tenacious fighter. When it comes to fighting the most notorious landlord firms, he only takes clients that are willing (and able) to go all the way to jury trial, and we wanted a firm that had effectively scrapped w/ them before, and could handle jury trial. I had interviewed literally dozens of top notch attorneys (most billing $300 - $450/hr, and many were obvious rip offs, looking to take as much $ as possible, and don’t care about results), and even the most experienced in SF UD cases (e.g., 15-20+ yrs exp) had only gone to jury trial once, and the rest had no jury trial experience, just doing some bench trials, which is no good for the bogus nuisance UD case maliciously slapped on us. He has close co-counsel associates who fill in gaps where his is practice not as strong. In our case, he teamed up w/ Marc Branco to shore up UD law practice. So, that combined w/ his jury trial experience (and their hunger to kick their butt), is what sold me on their ‘dynamic duo’ to go up against them. His criminal law experience was very pertinent to our very (fact driven) nuisance UD case, and he’s adept at picking apart (hostile) witnesses an triangulating to converge on favorable facts to the case. So, in sum, I can vouch that Curt (& team) are very competent re UD legal practice, highly ethical, they get results.

It was one of the worst moments in my life. I was driving home and I crashed my car into a parked car. I was scared, lost, confused but most of all worried.
