The team was amazing in helping us with our will and trust! They were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, supportive and patient with us as we figure out the best path forward to suit some of our very particular needs. It’s obviously not a fun or easy topic to discuss and they were so understanding of that giving us options and suggestions that could be relevant to us. And allowing us the time we needed to sort things out amongst our family. Sometimes we wouldn’t be able to resolve things easily so we would be at a standstill for a while between me and my husband but they were great about checking in regularly without creating any additional pressure. We also had some personal and particular road blocks that we come up against and Ashley was wonderful in giving us options and guidance around that. Both she and Jason were so kind and personable and professional. We had talked to several places before coming here and I’m so glad we did!

I was a 31 year firefighter with VCFD. I had numerous on the job injuries, the worst were cumulative trauma to my back. Trying to use the county’s work comp system was most often slow, unpleasant and a waste of time. Thanks to Mr. Sherwin, I was able to get through the process and receive treatment. By the time I was reaching the end of my career, Mr. Wicke was able to deal with the county’s attorneys and bureaucratic nonsense. In the end, I received a deserved medical retirement.
Unfortunately, I still have unresolved medical issues. Mr Sherwin was able to again deal with the Sedgwick (workers comp) and get all my issues settled. In this way I never had to go through the county again and can seek my own treatment through my insurance. This process is much quicker. Days instead of months. There is no way in Ventura County to manage this process without this great team of lawyers.

Justin Feldman is an incredible attorney. My case took 3 1/2 years to settle. During that time, he always stayed in contact with me to update me or just to check in and see how I was doing. The Nieves Law Firm is exactly who my father needed to help settle his case. It started with our intake person Aaron and quickly moved to getting assigned an attorney, Michael Levinsohn who is well qualified to handle restraining order cases. It was great to know his years of experience and being bilingual.
We hired the Nieves Law Firm based on our research and many days/weeks looking for a Law Firm that would be willing to help with my father's case. We got turned down many times and felt taken advantage of even for a brief introduction from other law firms, BUT we were lucky to speak to Aaron who assured us that The Nieves Law Firm can help my dad. I was very lost and had no idea where to go or find the necessary help. Mr Farzad was very responsive immediately, he offered me help and explained my possibilities when unfortunately I was full of fear and also did not know my rights in marriage and in the country, since I am also an immigrant and English is not my first language. From the beginning Peter was very professional, understanding and patient, there were times when I was falling apart emotionally and felt that I could not continue with the process anymore and Peter always had a huge patience and words of encouragement for me to keep going. Mr. Safford helped my son with his speeding ticket from Oct. 2015 to Dec. 2015. My son had above 100 mph speeding citation. Since he was tried as adult and is 17 year old, the outcome for the case looked grave. In fact, the judge was so determined to teach the teenage a lesson; he refused to let the case go when the officer did not show up in court. Mr. Safford understood my son’s worries and the teenage mentality. He planned a strategy for the next scheduled court date. He is sympathetic to our situation and understood that this was also a teachable moment for the youngster. When the police officer did not show up the 2nd time, the case was dismissed. We had a better outcome than we hoped for, thanks to Mr. Safford! I gave him a five stars because he dealt well with our case and responsive promptly for all my inquires through email or text.

I had a hearing with the state board of nursing. The attorney I hired was a disappointment . He was totally unprepared, he kept asking for time during the hearing to review documents. I was not prepared, because I depended on my hired attorney. The few interactions we had prior to the hearing, he was more interested in if I wired his money, than on the evidence. The irony was is I had another attorney who was much less expensive, but I was not happy with the possible outcome.However Mr Khouri assured me he could do better, so I hired him. What a big mistake!!! After the disaster outcome, I called him about the follow up that the board wanted, he was quite uninterested. I have been a business owner for 15 years. In that time, I've dealt with the IRS, Treasury, HUD, FBI and PIS. I retained Michael for the newest government infringement and he has been nothing short of incredible. I've never had an attorney work so hard for me and so quickly. I do not mean he's fast with his work as in he doesn't take his time, I mean he is quick to act and ward off problems before they may begin to exist. In my first 3 days as a client, Attorney Khouri had sent several emails on my behalf, made several demands and had talked with me on the phone a dozen times and kept in constant contact between email and text messages. Kevin Gordon is the most incompetent attorney. He did not answer my calls or emails. He did not pay attention to details in forms when filing with the city and documents were returned, then he did not follow through, but tell me that he was busy with something else. Even the opposing party threatened him with reporting him to the bar. He drafted a settlement that did not protect me as his client. At the end, he just told me to get another attorney. Wow. It is unfortunate that his practicing.

Very unhappy with the outcome of my case. It was handled unprofessionally. And l fought with the attorney the whole way. I had to file with the BAR twice. I hired Legacy and was told will take it to trial. During mediation l was told to settle today or l could lose everything, because they were not going to represent me in court. Then the attorney settled the case against my will. I was forced to settle for considerably less than the original trust stated.

My grandmother passed in June, she chose them for her attorney to handle her will. Not only did they get 2 out of the 4 siblings addresses wrong but it also took multiple attempts to get the address fixed. Not to mention when we reached out to get information about when the checks had been sent we were given a horrible explanation on top of all of us siblings being treated like idiots. We’re grieving the loss of our grandmother, there’s no reason to be told “I don’t know every case off the top of my head.”
I wish I could give negative stars. The way they’ve handled everything has been horrible, with no explanation.

I paid him $2500 to help get my son's charge reduced and expunged. We live out of state but the charge was in SD. He took my money and said it should be resolved within two to three months. That was over three years ago. He stopped returning my calls. I spoke to another attorney this week and he said it doesn't look like Donte ever filed anything.
Do not hire this man. I don't consider him ethical. I will be reporting him.
