I've gotten myself into some situations. This year my dad died and my grandma entered a hospice facility. You name it and I've gotten into it. Well let me tell you. There isn't a better criminal attorney in Alameda County to do what needs to be done when the wheels come off in life. Phil Vaughns has stood tall on my behalf when most bay area attorneys would have been more interested in collecting a check. By his reputation, his intergrity, his knowledge Phil has truly helped me.
In case you didn't know James Phillip Vaughns was a Deputy District Attorney for Alameda County before becoming an AUSA(Assistant United States Attorney). If you were a secret service agent or an FBI agent who positively wanted to send someone to prison for a very long time and you were in the bay area, I suspect you worked with Phil to dot your I's and cross your T's.
I can tell you this. I have never regretted a dime I've paid Phil. I was never ever disappointed in the resolution of any matter Phil addressed on my behalf.

I highly recommend Mark Chambers. From the minute I got a federal indictment Mr. Chambers took control of my case. It was evident at the first hearing he was highly respected by not only the Federal Judge presiding over my case but the US Attorney, several times the Judge commented how prepared Mr. Chambers was and the US Attorney said he was the best Defense Attorney he has faced. He walked me through the entire process of my case from the indictment to reducing my Federal Probation in half.

We are forever indebted to Don. He brought an expert witness(retired CHP) who was outstanding as well !
He filed a motion for suppression of evidence as my fiancé was pulled over for a vehicle violation for failure to use his blinker.
He was able to prove that this was an unlawful pull over and arrest as the officer was profiling. He got the officer to admit this on the stand !!! All charges were dropped as the evidence had to be thrown out. He was caught with 8 lbs of marijuana and got off scott free. He was facing atleast 1 yr in jail and up to 5 yrs. If you are in need of criminal defense lawyer he is your man.

I got help from Mr. Wilke when he was the head of a public defense office in 2003-2005. Although I didn't pay a dime through my pocket because I couldn't afford it, he helped me with the utmost care, best effort and great ethic that anyone can get from a lawyer, paid for or not. I always think I owe him a lot in this life and feel thankful and lucky that somehow chance did happen the way it was; that he took my case and helped me out of a really deep trouble that could be the worst for anybody.
That trouble was a really painful experience of my life and I've paid dearly initially and still been living with its consequence so I don't want to talk about it ever again but without him, it could have been ten times worse for me. I'm sure that he's probably one of the best out there that you can possibly find.
Thanks very much again Mr. Wilke. I know that I owe you a lot and can't never repay your great service, but I and my family always hope and pray for your good health and will never forget you. I had some legal issues with the federal government and fired two attorneys before finally being referred to Richard Novak by one of my attorneys who I kept as council. Richard is excellent at what he does and truly cares about his clients best interests. He always made time for me and never once made a big deal out of it. He doesn’t over bill but at the same isn’t cheap, but is worth every penny. He’s aggressive but yet extremly calculated and strategic. He listens and also gives solid advise. He’s bullet proof and if your having any type of serious criminal or civil federal matters don’t look anywhere else. This is the attorney to hire and keep in your phone book for the rest of your life. A solid and honest man who will do exactly as he says...and looks at the bigger picture not the short run. I wouldn’t hire any other attorney for any serious matters, Richard Novak is by far one of the most professional and respectful attorneys I have met. He doesn’t have a god complex like most lawyers and he is still very human and humble, but extremly good at his craft. He mangaged to settle my issues with the federal government in just 2 months when other lawyers I fired simply had been dragging their feet to just bill me more and more and accomplished nothing. Your lucky if you ever come across another attorney like Richard Novak in your life time. Hes an anomaly in the legal world. If you chose to retain him you won’t be disappointed by any means. My faith in the California judicial system and my absolute belief in the integrity of law enforcement was shattered 6/2010 when I was arrested for delivering cannabis to medically qualified patients. I followed California state law, paid taxes, and was very up front with local politicians. None of that mattered. Solano county said "No medical marijuana here, we don't care what California state law is.". True to their word I was arrested, my husband was arrested and we came home from dinner surrounded by guys in bullet proof vests. NEVER had I been in any trouble before (I was 50 yrs old at time) and I was TERRIFIED! After much research and after speaking to a number of attorneys I decided to trust Omar and it was definitely the best decision! His education, knowledge and experience is outstanding. It took a few years to get through this mess and he was with me the whole time. Anyone who is knowlegeable of Solano County's position on MMJ, and especially in Vacaville, knows this was a very difficult battle. Thanks Omar! Hire him, you will be very glad you did!

I was arrested in Sausalito CA for possession of 167 pounds of cannabis and 3 ½ grams of ecstasy. I thought my life was over and I was preparing myself for jail. I researched a dozen lawyers, interviewed three and then I found Omar.
Within minutes of our first meeting I felt there might be some hope and I knew he was the person I needed to work with. He was professional, very smart and easy to talk to. After we started working together I also realized he has integrity and is highly respected among his peers.
Omar coached me through every part of the process. I never had any uncertainty going into court. His office support staff is thorough and outstanding.
After an eight month process I was awarded three years felony probation with a good chance after probation the felony will be reduced so it doesn't show on my record. Yes, no jail time, just probation!
It even gets better. During sentencing Omar argued that I still be allowed to drink alcohol and use medical cannabis while on probation and the judge agreed. My probation officer told me he has never seen anyone on probation allowed these privileges.
The only mistake you can make hiring Omar is not listing to his coaching. I am one GRATEFUL client.

She also did not inform me of many important things like not talking to the insurance claims adjuster who was representing the person that hit me. She did the minimal amount of work for me and did not seem to care at all for my well being. I wish I would have taken the advice of friends in the la area to seek out new representation. If you want a lawyer who is thorough and passionate about your needs do not go to Ms Gorin. Being very unreachable and only being able to communicate to her through her paralegal Karina was very unsettling as well.

I was facing child endangerment criminal charges, because of allegations by a school mandated reporter. Unfortunately, this is a parent’s worst nightmare, because these allegations can destroy careers and families.
Mr. Grech successfully persuaded the DA to dismiss the original charges in exchange for disturbing the peace infraction (PC. 415(2)) and a nominal fine. Only an attorney of his caliber (30 years+ experience) would have got this outcome.
