I want to start by saying that I fully support law enforcement and personal accountability. However, my youngest son made a foolish decision early this year, and a particularly
overzealous police officer not only arrested him but charged him with extreme offenses that were completely inappropriate for the situation. I’m convinced that if it had been the officer’s own son or a family friend, he would have handled it differently—perhaps with a stern warning or, at the very most, a misdemeanor charge.
With little time to find the right attorney, we came across Michael Haworth and Hanlon Law online. I can’t thank Michael and Mr. Hanlon enough for their professionalism, dedication, and understanding throughout this ordeal. They not only achieved the best possible outcome for my son but also took the time to listen to my fears, ensuring I always felt heard and supported.
I was terrified that my son would get trapped in the system, and I couldn’t eat or sleep. But Michael Haworth, with support from Mr. Hanlon, patiently addressed my concerns, presenting realistic options without making unattainable promises. They were committed to resolving this issue, and they did exactly that.
I still believe in “law and order,” but this experience opened my eyes to how one bad apple can tarnish people’s view of law enforcement. This officer seemed determined to ruin my 14-year-old son’s life by pushing for a potential prison sentence when he could have chosen a less severe path to teach him a lesson. He also called multiple times once he had nothing to do with it asking questions that the only motive could be to cause some sort of harm on my child, who is doing great now btw.
Without Michael Haworth and Mr. Hanlon, my son might have faced a much harsher outcome. They approached the case with creativity and genuine care, always communicating clearly and making me feel confident in their representation. They are truly experts in juvenile law, and their experience and knowledge made all the difference.
Over the years, I’ve worked with many attorneys—both corporate and criminal—through my business and for legal matters involving friends, employees, and family. Most attorneys don’t communicate well or fight as hard as they would for their own family. But Michael Haworth and Mr. Hanlon are different. They provided multiple strategies and thought outside the box to make this situation go away. Very few attorneys have such extensive experience and understanding of the legal system for minors in Florida.

In August I found out a lawsuit has been filed against me. It was in regards to a very emotional and sensitive matter, plus having never been sued before I was nervous. I got recommendations from lawyer and court employee friends, and looked up lawyers on Google. I called 12-15 law offices in the area but ultimately decided to put my trust in Mr Chris Turner at CRT Legal. His office staff was friendly, personable, and professional right from the start. I contacted Mr. Turner about a possible civil law & defamation case. Mr. Turner was very prompt about returning correspondence. He was quite knowledgeable and informative in his response.
As a physician, i deal with many attorneys (typical personal injury lawyers), but i found Mr. Turner to be insightful, honest, kind and not pushy. He seems like a very caring individual to me.
If the need arises, i plan on using Mr. Turner again and if someone asks me for a referral in the civil law department, Mr. Turner would in fact get my referral as i do recommend him.

Joe Columbo and his team were a great choice 12 years ago when we went into foreclosure. We never wanted to lose our home. We tried so many times to refinance but the bank would do nothing. We were told to stop paying our mortgage to qualify for grants and we did that hesitantly. We never got the grants and the bank never helped us. The BEST!!!!!!! Hired her for a 40 year dissolution of marriage case after I experienced terrible representation from Linda Fried and Christina O’Brian (Henderson Franklin).
Michele was meticulous and heard my words. She was stellar at trial and uncovered the many lies through my ex’s testimony.

I was very reluctant to hire a bankruptcy attorney, for a few reasons. First, there's a service in the internet that takes you through the whole process for free (although you do the filing yourself). Second, too many "attorneys" out there. Well, the best decision I've made lately was to hire Stephen. He's very knowledgeable and supportive, and (very important!) ALWAYS replies back in a timely manner. And his fee ended up being more than fair for the peace of mind I had through the whole process. Well, I got discharged! Thanks Stephen!

I engaged Mr. Orchard's services initially because I received a court document naming me as a defendant in a foreclosure action. Having no idea that I was attached to the property, I needed a local attorney's help, as I live in a different state.
Mr. Orchard patiently explained the legal meaning of the documents to me (actually more than once). Further, in assessing the implications of the documents and their impact on me, I had to share very personal and emotional family issues of estrangement and family wounds.
Previously, I hired a PI to assist with the family issues, but he turned out to be a scammer. I hired a different atty years before for the family issue, who provided bum advice, blew through the retainer, and said that was all he could do. I contacted the sheriff's office, who said there was nothing they could do. I was ready to surrender.
Long story short, Mr. Orchard was able to assist in discovering the familial information I was seeking and absolutely needed (and failed to obtain), and continued to work patiently with me to educate and coach me on the legal recourse I had with respect to the foreclosure. Additionally, I found him to be extremely fair and reasonable regarding the retainer I paid and the manner in which it was used.
His services began in April, 2021, and effectively ended in August 2022. Throughout this time, Steve communicated with me regularly, kept me informed regarding actions taken and actions needed, and represented me in an honest and dependable manner. In fact, I trusted him completely, and felt he always acted in my best interest.
In reality, he went out of his way to ensure I received the surplus funds I deserved from the foreclosure. Plus, he did all of this work over a 16-month period ON A CONTIGENCY BASIS! He even consulted with other attorneys that specialized in a completely different area of law (that was a factor in the claim) in order to ensure he was advising me correctly.
I would not hesitate to hire Mr. Orchard again, and you shouldn't either. If you are looking for an attorney that sees you instead of your money, I highly recommend Mr. Orchard. I found him and his lawfirm to provide excellent service, sound and helpful advice, and to have the best ethical integrity of any lawyer I've engaged!

My son Officer Michael Weiskopf of the St. Petersburg Police Department went in to the hospital with Covid 8/1/21 and his wife would not let us have any contact with Michael. She would not let us text him, call him, face-time him or visit him. She told the nursing staff not to give us any information on my son's condition. If we wanted any updates, we would have to go through her. She was giving us erroneous information and that is when we found our Guardian Angel Matt. Matt worked miracles and we were then able to get correct information on my son's condition from a reliable source. He also helped us get an object in my name that Mike's wife didn't want to give us, even though it was her husband's wishes that his brother have this object. My son's wife never told us that my son died and that there was a funeral planned by the St. Petersburg Police Department.
Matt is one of a kind. He is compassionate, kind, caring, sensitive and is a super Professional. He knows his craft and he gets things done. I did a lot of research before hiring an attorney to assist me with the probate process. I ultimately chose Matt because I liked his website. He has plenty of videos that explain “legalese” for people like me who have no idea what it all means and he seemed really involved (something that a lot of attorneys aren’t). It turned out that Mr. Weidner was as involved as he seemed and he didn’t hesitate to answer any one of my million and one questions about what was happening during my daughter’s probate. Even though she had planned out her estate before her death and put everything in order and I had agreed to be her estate executive I have to admit to not having any idea what to do. I had agreed to the role because she asked me to, but luckily I came across Mr. Weidner and he made the whole thing seem much easier than the other lawyers I talked to.
In the end probate went well. Actually, it was draining and devastating but the process itself was easier than I thought it was going to be which was one burden lifted. When things have settled down for us in our new life without my daughter, I plan to go back to Mr. Weidner to talk to him about my own estate planning. Now that I’m raising my grandchildren, I have a lot of changes to make and I’m hoping Mr. Weidner can make it as easy as he did our probate.

I had to find a new lawyer midstream on a case that was taking forever and going nowhere because the initial law firm that I had hired failed me due to their lack of conscientiousness and avarice. We have to start off by saying the court system is not fair when it comes to dead beat parents. Child services took my children from their mother for various warranted reasons (drugs, abuse, neglect), things that we didnt even know they were going through because they we to scared to tell anyone. We were appointed a court appointed attorney which was horrible and after my first experience with my last lawyer we were very skeptical about hiring a new lawyer. Mara came recommended to us through a friend and I have to say it was the best choice we've made in this regard over the last 11 years. During this whole process of the court and child services giving their mother chance after chance to reunify, making us feel like we did something wrong, and forcing the kids to talk and see their mother when they didnt want to Mara stayed positive. The feeling of abject failure and the loss of so many years of work and dreams.
My initial mind set when I got behind on my mortgage was “I didn’t pay and I deserve to get foreclosed”. It certainly is a pretty straight line to that opinion. And you can rest assured that the so called judges in the Foreclosure Court, who are appointed, not elected, by and large believe this is true too. The long process of defending ourselves from the loss of our family home, which was the repository of every bit of our income (beyond consumables) for most of our lives, was an eye opening experience and some hard lessons about the law and in particular lawyers.
Lots of lawyers will line up to take your money, and as much of it up front as they can get you to pay. I have more than several acquaintances who paid eight thousand, ten thousand dollar retainers. This was quickly burned up on ticky tack back and forth with the bank/servicer and then they lost their homes. One leader in my scout troop found out she was going to auction 7 days before it happened and her family of 5 had to move in with her mother in law.
I’m here to tell you what you need is a Knight. On a Crusade. And that is who Margery Golant is to her clients. When she says: “I am personally disturbed to see consumers being taken advantage of…” she really means it and I have seen it many times in our long and SUCCESSFUL battle to not be foreclosed. Ms Golant had 3 judges disqualified from our case for public comments they had made that clearly showed the bias so prevalent in Foreclosure Court. She had our case removed from the Foreclosure division and put in Civil, where the judges answer to the voters, and care that the decisions they make are legally valid. She had the Service of the foreclosure thrown out 6 times. She fought a brilliant war of counter tactics and strategy that went on for well over 9 years. It seems crazy looking at it written here. Meanwhile my kids grew up in their home and thrived. Words can’t express our gratitude and if you are in this terrible situation, believe a survivor that this is your best choice for representation.

I contracted with Mr. Arcia's firm to help with a difficult mortgage refinance.
I had tried unsuccessfully to renegotiate my mortgage on my own. The lender was very happy to raise my monthly by $2000 when my lousy mortgage signed at the peak of the housing craziness converted from fixed to variable.
