Michael Watters and his team are highly skilled and experienced in navigating the complexities of divorce. Not only did he skillfully navigate the legal system and advocate for my financial needs, he understood the importance of equalizing finances between households so that I can really show up for my children. He clearly has seen it all before, understands dysfunctional family dynamics and anticipated what my family needed when I was not able to advocate for myself. Michael got a court order to begin paying child support and alimony when my ex had stopped; he called for a financial deposition to reveal the money that my ex had been trying to hide and could not be revealed in a simple tax return, he got my ex to pay money to me for the house that we had acquired while we were married and then had pressurized me into getting my name off of the title as I was leaving the house before we were legally separated, and he was able to get most all of my legal fees to be paid by my ex as he had the ability to do so. I am so grateful for Michael and his team's work on my behalf. Without Michael's help I still would have been an unsupported single mom stressed and not being able to fully show up for my kids who are really the ones who suffer most in these dynamics.

Mr. Waters is not only an exceptionally knowledgable Divorce Lawyer but a highly experienced litigator which is critical should your divorce reach the courts. I believe he represented my interests very well and I had full confidence that he would have won my case had we ended up going to court. However (against his advice) I decided to settle just to be done with the process. I felt he was fair in his billing and I would hire him again if I needed his services.

I was actually the opposing party on a potential case up against Ms. Ghantous, an unfortunate position to be in. From the get go, it was clear Ms. Ghantous was a talented attorney, knowledgable and aggressive. Fortunately, Ms. Ghantous presented a solution that was mutually beneficial and agreed upon by all parties, allowing me to avoid a predictable defeat against Ms. Ghantous. This was several years back and to this day, I still call upon and recommend Ms. Ghantous to/for any matter relevant to her practice area of emphasis. I called Ms. Ekaterina Berman to consult with a case, and she provided excellent consultation even she didn't have time to take my case.
She listens really well. She gets my point immediately, and gets to her point clearly. The communication was very professional and easy.
She offered her professional take on the case and on my concerns, even I haven't hired her. She does not just care about money. She said, to save the time and money, what is the good way to proceed instead of forcing me a case to open and hire her.
Although I didn't end up with working with her on my case, I feel only someone who is good at what he/she is doing can do practice and work in the way Ms. Ekaterina Berman does. So I feel this is outstanding from others in the business, and it should be made aware to anyone who seeks for help and service.

I regret ever hiring Soleymani Law Firm to represent me in my family law case. At the time, I was new to the legal system and trusted their promises that they would fight for me and my son. Unfortunately, their actions did not align with their words.
My initial consultation with Deborah Soleymani was full of assurances about how her firm would stand by me. However, once they took my $10,000 retainer, their level of service completely changed. The attorney assigned to my case, Emily Hetu, was unprofessional, lacked communication skills, and did not advocate for my son or me in any meaningful way. The worst part? She did not even show up for a crucial hearing. Instead, they sent a substitute attorney without any notice, leaving me completely unprepared and vulnerable in court. This attorney had no background on my case, did not defend me, and ultimately, because of their incompetence, I lost in court.
On top of their negligence, they managed to burn through my entire retainer in less than two months while doing minimal work. To make matters worse, they had the audacity to claim I still owed them money for a single hearing that cost me $10,000—an outrageous and unjustifiable fee for the lack of service provided.
This law firm lacks integrity, professionalism, and basic ethics. They do not fight for their clients; instead, they take advantage of people who are already in vulnerable legal situations. If you’re considering hiring them—DON’T. I wish I had read a review like this before wasting my time and money on them.
There are far better family law attorneys out there who actually care about their clients. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Soleymani Law Firm.

When my sisters informed me that our grandfather’s caretakers had changed his will to their benefit two years before he passed at 103 and that they wanted to hire an attorney to fight it, I was on board. My siblings and I hired Evans Law Firm after we discovered our grandfather’s caretakers had our 101-year-old grandfather change his trust. Evans Law Firm immediately took our Elder Financial Fraud and Abuse case. Ms. Evans has a no-nonsense way of getting to the point, but she does so because she can so clearly see the injustice and it infuriates her. She will then use that as motivation to dig out the truth. And did she! She was a forced to be reckoned with during the depositions and the amount of subpoenaed info she and her team combed through was incredible. I received my first DUI this past November and thought i had ruined my life. I reached out to Jeff Gold shortly after and he assured me that it was not the end of the world. Jeff immediately got me to start working a program that would turn my life around, not just fight the DUI. I began attending AA meetings and working with therapists to try and change my relationship with alcohol. After three months of work and diligence i was able to get my sentence reduced! I was a part of a tenant’s association that needed to negotiate the sale of our apartment building, and Andrew was so effective at guiding us through the process. He was extremely responsive and transparent, and negotiated a contract that was more than satisfactory for all of the tenants in the association. We just received our final payment, and Andrew was the reason we were able to have a stress-free move out of our building. I would not think twice about recommending him to anyone in need of an attorney, and especially for anything involving DC tenant’s rights. Thank you Andrew!

I've worked with a number of attorneys and professional service firms but, Andrew Kirtley sits right at the top. Klein and Wilson exceeded all expectations in handling our legal malpractice case. Mark Wilson and Joe Miceli did an outstanding job reviewing all applicable case law. They were very accessible and their follow up was outstanding and prompt. They frankly ran circles around defenses council and were superstars in deposition. When deposed individuals tried to avoid or not answer vital questions they rephrased and pinned them down
They were also very helpful in developing sound strategies that enabled us to get a settlement above actual dammages without having to go to trial.

Mark Wilson and his firm successfully represented our company in a breach of contract dispute from the filing of the arbitration demand through the collection of the award. The overall process with Harley was smooth, despite the normal pains of filing for bankruptcy.
I’d imagine for most going through a difficult situation such as a bankruptcy that it’s important who you choose to represent you.
Harley was transparent, easy to get in contact with consistently, and an all around professional. I ended up speaking with a few attorneys and he seemed to explain most of the more varied legal talk in easy to understand plain English.
Not only that but he charged a very reasonable price and was even willing to work with me when I told him I had been offered a lower price from someone who didn’t seem as competent as he after speaking with them.
My only regret was not calling him sooner.. LOL.. seriously..
After speaking with him and learning the law, I found out that you are allowed to have up to 30K that’s exempt in most cases. Would have saved me quite a bit had I not used that trying to pay down my debt and those crazy rates.
If you want someone straightforward & no nonsense, I’d recommend him to friends and family.

Carlos won our case for us when we were pushed out of our home by our landlord in San Francisco. A rent controlled home that I resided in for over 10 years starting in 2004. In August of 2011 I was severely injured due to the negligence of a third party while on the job. The bills quickly began to pile up and it was nearly impossible to focus on healing while in a state of constant worry over my finances. Worker's Compensation pays only 60% of your salary.
