Clair from this law firm was very rude and I don’t understand how she is working in law firm her communicating with her. Client is very disrespectful. I could barely get a word out because all she wanted to do was hear her voice. I was trying to get a breakdown and understanding of my payments and she wasn’t trying to hear anything that I had to say which I find is very rude and discriminating of my work situation and what I’m able to afford and payments at this time I do not recommend this law firm at all

William Brennan and his team of Ellen and Genie are absolute superstars in my book. I had three workers comp cases and ended up having to file for SSDI. Having them oversee my legal interests helped me immensely. They are forthright, honest, hard-working and have integrity. They explained to me that in an age of covid especially, the process would be slower than usual. I knew this going in because Bill explained thoroughly the processes as well as Ellen and Genie. This office works as a smooth well-oiled machine. I am incredibly dissatisfied with the legal services provided by John Pappalardo and his team during my child custody case. They consistently ran up the bill with ineffective strategies and failed to properly guide me on the best course of action, resulting in significant financial strain and distress.
Moreover, communication was severely lacking throughout the process, with my emails and calls often going unanswered for days. I felt like I was constantly kept in the dark about important developments in my case, and when I did receive updates, they were vague and unhelpful.
Additionally, the level of professionalism exhibited by John Pappalardo and his team left much to be desired. I often felt dismissed and belittled whenever I raised concerns or asked for clarification on legal matters.
Overall, I would not recommend John Pappalardo's legal services to anyone in need of competent and reliable representation. My experience with his firm was nothing short of a nightmare, and I am left feeling extremely disappointed and let down.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against utilizing John Pappalardo's services for child custody cases. Their poor communication, inadequate preparation, and lack of effectiveness in the courtroom only served to heighten stress and financial burden. They do not prioritize or protect the well-being of the children and struggle to handle cases involving domestic abuse or high-conflict custody disputes.

You never think one day you’ll need to go through the process of fighting for custody of your children. Unfortunately that day came me. I found myself in a love-less relationship with an unfaithful partner who I shared 2 beautiful children with. I felt helpless because you always think the law favors the mother in most cases. Being an extremely involved father who coached and was very active in my children’s life, I knew I didn’t want to be the typical every-other-weekend warrior father, I had to fight for my children. I was referred to The Pappalardo Law group from a friend of a friend who was also an attorney in Connecticut. She was very confident that this was the best Law Firm for my situation. I reluctantly made the call and set up the appointment. Turned out to be one of the best most important decisions I’ve ever made. John Pappalardo assigned his associate Sam to my my case and from day one they both worked tirelessly to understand our circumstances and put together an amazing case to present to the court. It was a long stressful road but being able to be in my children’s life on a day to day basis made the tough journey worth it. Sam was an amazing partner through all of this even going on maternity leave, having a baby and still returning to my case to close it out. She was extremely attentive and the communication always made me feel like I was a priority. After a simple consultation (where I waited over an hour to be graced with her time) I was left with a non sypathetic we will get back to you. In a town full of directness I am surprised to have encountered such flakiness. Not impressed- and disappointed in the extreme lack of follow up or at least human caring or empathy- for someone who brags about their background in psychology I believe they are missing a compassion and understanding in their interaction with others. Do not be fooled like I was by these positive reviews. This attorney took on my very sensitive child custody case which involved domestic violence and multiple arrests of the other party (father) and by not paying attention to detail almost caused a very negative outcome.
Here is a breakdown of events that occurred:
On May 15th 2020 during Covid quarantine ACS reported to the judge and the other party’s attorney that the father (other party) will not be showing up for a drug screening as he is away in quarantine for next month at a minimum.
May 20th there was a Skype call with the judge. As I learned later my request for Soberlink wasn’t communicated which led to a misunderstanding with the other parties attorney later who claimed I was unreasonable and changing my mind on previously approved supervised visits when in fact I was open to “unsupervised” so long as soberlink is present (which I offered to pay for) since previously approved supervised visits at Safe Horizon couldn’t happen due to quarantine.
After the call on 5/20 I noticed many argumentative emails from the other attorney and asked Mrs. Richardson to pause communicating with the other party for a few days and I notified her I will be looking for a new representation shortly. My next 3 days were booked with zoom interviews for a new position and I simply did not have time available to attend to this matter. At that moment Mrs Richardson was unprofessional and distracted when we spoke and even had a few emotional outbursts and yelled at me when I caught her forgetting important facts (use of soberlink which was actually mentioned and included on my bill breakdown). I simply asked her to pause communication with the other party and to give me a few days to respond with how to proceed.
Within the next few days, as I thought Mrs. Richardson followed my orders to pause... she took advantage of the fact that I was pre-occupied with numerous interviews and proceeded communicating with the other party and continued to bill for hours which were not approved by me and were not a part of the original 7,500 retainer. She also waited 2 months to send me an additional bill for $2,900 for 7 hours of case work after my request to pause communication. When I asked for an explanation her defense was that she still had to continue acting as my attorney and was claiming that I was “refusing” to release her from the case (she was referring to my reasonable request to pause communication for a few days). More importantly we did not have any urgency nor a scheduled appearance since the children’s father was away for at least a month.
Unfortunately her unprofessionalism and unscrupulousness was surpassed only by her lack of compassion, greed and blatant incompetence. Not only did she claim she spent 7 hours on my case during the next few days, she never communicated to the other party that my goal was for children to spend time with their father unsupervised as long as soberlink was present which I was willing to pay. The next shock came on May 26th, 2020 the other attorney drafted an order to show cause since “her party was eager for visitation” (this is the same party who refused a drug test to ACS on May 15th claiming he was away in quarantine for a minimum of a month). This order was extremely negative towards me and had claims that I didn’t feel safe with children seeing their father because of Covid which has never even came up, claimed I was changing my mind between soberlink and supervised visits which was far from the truth and other similar claims which were caused by lack of communication between Mrs. Richardson and myself or Mrs Richardson and the other party. To end this situation quickly I had to agree to supervised visits with his elderly mother in her home which she claimed has asbestos and release Mrs. Richardson
Stay away from this attorney and find someone who’s honest and knows how to communicate with clients without yelling and scolding

What started out as a non-contested divorce process unexpectedly became a contested one. My spouse decided she wanted her own representation to be sure she was being treated fairly. After reviewing the facts and speaking to the other attorney, Morghan Richardson took a risk and agreed to continue to represent me on a clearly defined, fixed-fee basis that was very reasonable.
In the end, our case was quickly and amicably resolved to everyone's satisfaction, and I received excellent value for the services rendered. Throughout the process, Ms. Richardson was very clear on what information she needed from me, kept me posted on the status of the case, let me know what I could expect to happen next, and when.

It was my misfortune to hire Bluestone, who once he had the money in hand failed to delve into the issues and counter the false claims of a deceitful Trial attorney. A 4th Dept. Justice was not impressed with his oral argument where Mr. Bluestone was clearly remiss of the facts. Yet over the year, I recall he could only offer one word responses via computer. What I have now realized is that the attorneys representing my former trial attorney submitted a fraudulent letter drafted by the Church attorney! Because getting Joanne off the hook at any costs mattered more than honesty. This letter by Hall was NEVER accepted or entered in as evidence at the time of the trial. This manufactured evidence was drafted by a church attorney hoping the trial judge would go for it. He didn't. I was on the witness stand and the Judge walked in front of me and handed it back; as if to say; "nice try". Why did Mr. Bluestone not remember no one in my area wanted to challenge the Church and or Town. I made this clear so how was I suppose to find an expert when my attorney was not responding to any of my communications?
Mr. Bluestone should humble himself to the facts instead of creating more confusion by grandstanding. His job was to know that the available evidence at my attorney's disposal was NEVER USED. During the oral argument he lacked an understanding of the fact that my attorney failed to provide the appraisal showing devaluation of my property. This was a large financial loss.
Clearly he never intended to dispute the claim made by the defense or initiate any consultation on the disputed issues. He didn't know the facts and it was clear to the Appellate Justice.
His refusal to have any conferences about the issues is rather peculiar. Mr. Bluestone relied on generalized statements that could be considered "Boiler-plate" themes and could not speak succinctly that included engaging, clarifying and showing sincerity. He needs to realize this case represented 8 years and he bungled the delivery due to a cavalier attitude. His words "they didn't like it"; was also misinterpreted. His performance was off point and they the justices were not impressed.
He was paid more than to format the record which Btw he was anxious to finalize within 12 days of retaining him and judged that it was in my interest to leave out critical testimony before a Supreme Court Justice. Today I had a 25 minute discussion about this experience with a more accomplished professional. If an attorney is unwilling to make time after he is hired; I believe I should have backed out and suffered the financial consequences. He also had the monetary terms to his advantage early on along with a non-committal agreement devoid of this Motion for Summary Judgement. The facts were available to Bluestone, but he couldn't be bothered. And it was his job to do more.
If your skillset is 50% in litigation why would you not include and and make any mention by citing any of these facts in your support of me? Yes, My basement filled with water but equally the entire lot on which the home was built in 1878 was also compromised and devalued by 50%. I was out of my home for nearly 19 months and got ill from the mold; displacing the family for 9 years due to now a more upgraded negligence claim against a Town and Church that refused to answer for this poorly constructed drainage system. My engineer was a credible expert* also never referenced by you. The drainage system never worked and this was outlined in my *4th Department Decision in 2011; which you never give any mention or credit to. Yet, you don't reference this higher Court decision in my favor. I lost all damages* compensation for permanent damage related to the devaluation of home and land that was now deemed permanent.
As an Expert in Legal Malpractice you equivocated on the issue instead of providing factual information.

They took advantage of my 90 year old father who was hospitalized with dementia. They did a great deal of unnecessary legal work to "protect his assets" even after they were informed he had dementia and had almost no assets and a great deal of debt. They took advantage of my 90 year old father who was hospitalized with dementia. They did a great deal of unnecessary legal work to "protect his assets" even after they were informed he had dementia and had almost no assets and a great deal of debt. I found Ms. Richards to be highly unprofessional, highly unethical and highly prejudicial in the execution of my parent's estate.
In my opinion, resorting to threats and bullying in an attempt to intimidate a particular beneficiary is beneath the conduct you would otherwise expect from a member of the Bar Association.
To be clear, I was not "unhappy with my parent's estate", I was shocked by Ms. Richard's behavior.
Her handling of the estate relative to administration and advice given was deplorable, and in no way represented what my parents would have wanted. If you're in the market for an estate attorney that you can trust to do the right thing upon your passing, I recommend that you look elsewhere.
I would not have even given Ms. Richards a "1 star" review, but Google doesn't accept anything less.
