I'm a permanently disabled woman and I contacted Ira as I am currently dealing with a horrific living situation which has left me with lasting and possibly permanent lung damage due to mold in my rental home. I have gone to multiple doctors, including an allergist and a pulmonologist, who both confirmed that the mold was causing and exacerbating my consistently worsening symptoms, which has required multiple new medications and treatments just to mitigate until the mold is remediated by the slumlord. The mold was confirmed with a very extensive and expensive test from a local company that specializes in finding mold, even airborne mold. The conditions inside my home tested as "unacceptably high levels". I brought all of this information to Ira, and he told me this was a good case of clear cut negligence in which I had already done my due diligence to gather proof. He asked for more information regarding the situation which I provided, and we set up a video conference for the following week so he had ample time to review and understand everything. Unfortunately, at the meeting itself, his demeanor changed from caring and concerned, to victim blaming and gaslighting. He then insisted it would be "difficult to prove" in court that the mold was causing my health issues, despite the clear documentation as well as testimonial of my pulmonologist, who said the reason is "without a doubt" the airborne mold, which I am highly allergic to. He then proceeded to tell me my tone over text messages to my slumlord was "unladylike", and that I needed to act in a certain way when addressing an abusive, predatory landlord. Obviously, I disagree with the sentiment that evil individuals are owed any amount of respect as the default, especially after they have shown their intentions in harming disabled tenants. I will continue to pursue retaining a personal injury attorney who believes in their clients and doesn't shame them for advocating for themselves while being actively abused, and already suffering from severe C-PTSD, which Ira also knew about, because he asked me specifically if I suffer from it. It seems like Ira just has a god/saviour complex and for that reason I did not follow up with him after our video call to provide the statement from my pulmonologist, which he had already seemingly dismissed as irrelevant. Ira is not a genuinely caring person the way he led me to believe.

I had a very frustrating, and potentially negatively life altering, experience with Ms. Ressler earlier this year. The error on her part cost my family time, frustration, and stress to myself and my children.
I was advised to file a temporary order of protection which involved making claims against family members. Unbeknownst to me, Jessica Ressler has a general modus operandi of being an extremely aggressive attorney, regardless of the situation. Her tactics involve getting her clients temporary orders of protection, involving the police, and using false statements. For those who are not aware, these tactics often negatively impact children. She treats every case the same, and her reputation in the industry is well known as being overly aggressive to the point of being detrimental to her clients and their cases. Further, her strategy unnecessarily involves child protective services who are legally obligated to investigate each case, and each parent, regardless of the accusations made.
Without going into significant personal detail, the filings I made under Ms. Ressler's guidance landed me in the cross hairs of CPS for no apparent reason. The result could have led to a permanent record, termination from my job, and an inability to be involved in some children's activities. When I pointed this out to Ms. Ressler, I was met with vague explanations and no real accountability, nor help to assist me from a legal standpoint. While initially she was attentive to my questions, once this occurred, her communication stopped instead of following up on ways to assist me, as though she signed off from my case. Ultimately, the CPS case was resolved without issue based on evidence provided by my family.
It should be noted that Ms. Ressler was recently formally admonished in court for her tactics and procedures. As previously stated, her reputation amongst attorneys in the NYC metro area is well known, and not well regarded.
I would not trust this lawyer with anything important and would highly caution others to do their due diligence before hiring her. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for legal counsel.

I highly recommend Tim Sardone for your real estate transactions! We were warned that the schedule to complete our home purchase was very optimistic and that it would be difficult for the title work to be finished in this time frame. My experience with Shapiro Legal Group PLLC WAS GREAT. I must say the representative that called me was very nice and he made me feel comfortable with the whole process and explained in detail how everything went from here. There's no amount of money that could buy out the suffering with headache's and everything else that goes along with the tumor, but the people (same people who made some COVID injections) (Pfizer) let millions of women get the Depo- Provera shot for over a decade while neglecting to label the side affect that it could cause brain tumors. At least they could do is compensate/ Settle out of court with us women who did develop a brain tumor due to their negligence

Do not be fooled like I was by these positive reviews. This attorney took on my very sensitive child custody case which involved domestic violence and multiple arrests of the other party (father) and by not paying attention to detail almost caused a very negative outcome.
Here is a breakdown of events that occurred:
On May 15th 2020 during Covid quarantine ACS reported to the judge and the other party’s attorney that the father (other party) will not be showing up for a drug screening as he is away in quarantine for next month at a minimum.
May 20th there was a Skype call with the judge. As I learned later my request for Soberlink wasn’t communicated which led to a misunderstanding with the other parties attorney later who claimed I was unreasonable and changing my mind on previously approved supervised visits when in fact I was open to “unsupervised” so long as soberlink is present (which I offered to pay for) since previously approved supervised visits at Safe Horizon couldn’t happen due to quarantine.
After the call on 5/20 I noticed many argumentative emails from the other attorney and asked Mrs. Richardson to pause communicating with the other party for a few days and I notified her I will be looking for a new representation shortly. My next 3 days were booked with zoom interviews for a new position and I simply did not have time available to attend to this matter. At that moment Mrs Richardson was unprofessional and distracted when we spoke and even had a few emotional outbursts and yelled at me when I caught her forgetting important facts (use of soberlink which was actually mentioned and included on my bill breakdown). I simply asked her to pause communication with the other party and to give me a few days to respond with how to proceed.
Within the next few days, as I thought Mrs. Richardson followed my orders to pause... she took advantage of the fact that I was pre-occupied with numerous interviews and proceeded communicating with the other party and continued to bill for hours which were not approved by me and were not a part of the original 7,500 retainer. She also waited 2 months to send me an additional bill for $2,900 for 7 hours of case work after my request to pause communication. When I asked for an explanation her defense was that she still had to continue acting as my attorney and was claiming that I was “refusing” to release her from the case (she was referring to my reasonable request to pause communication for a few days). More importantly we did not have any urgency nor a scheduled appearance since the children’s father was away for at least a month.
Unfortunately her unprofessionalism and unscrupulousness was surpassed only by her lack of compassion, greed and blatant incompetence. Not only did she claim she spent 7 hours on my case during the next few days, she never communicated to the other party that my goal was for children to spend time with their father unsupervised as long as soberlink was present which I was willing to pay. The next shock came on May 26th, 2020 the other attorney drafted an order to show cause since “her party was eager for visitation” (this is the same party who refused a drug test to ACS on May 15th claiming he was away in quarantine for a minimum of a month). This order was extremely negative towards me and had claims that I didn’t feel safe with children seeing their father because of Covid which has never even came up, claimed I was changing my mind between soberlink and supervised visits which was far from the truth and other similar claims which were caused by lack of communication between Mrs. Richardson and myself or Mrs Richardson and the other party. To end this situation quickly I had to agree to supervised visits with his elderly mother in her home which she claimed has asbestos and release Mrs. Richardson
Stay away from this attorney and find someone who’s honest and knows how to communicate with clients without yelling and scolding
