Just can’t say enough about this Law Firm. My wife and I needed to get our Future in order with our estate and life savings, something that took a lifetime to achieve. We contacted Four Rivers on the advice of a friend who had used them previously and it proved to be great advice. Our call to the office received an immediate response from Mr Southron and all of our questions and concerns were answered. They took the time to explain everything in detail in a manner that was very easy to understand. Personally I had bad experience with this firm , initially I contacted the is firm because we need to resolve an issue with something we purchased and we got scammed for more than 5k with a company in Miami , this firm ask for every detail in this case and they took it but after 3 months I was trying to contact them and the person in charge of my case was no longer available and they didn’t tell us anything like an update or anything so I had to call Them and also write many messages via Instagram and after 3 weeks they finally responded just saying that they not gonna take my case without mentioning anything

My husband and I needed some legal help, counseling, advice, and direction. We were hoping to sit down with someone who would listen to the situation that we have found ourselves in and then provide for the above-mentioned needs. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Several times in conversation, he made comments regarding our intelligence, or lack thereof, cut us off while we were speaking, had zero interest in listening to our concerns about said situation, and was subsequently of no help. I would give this law form 0 stars however -1 is the lowest , but here is my review Harris hung on me - a disabled veteran - when trying to receive my deed. His staff told me they were not obligated to give me the paper. After I called back Harris, calling me “bro” said he mailed it and fulfilled his obligation. If I could give more than a 5 star review for Jimmy (James) Gustafson with Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart and Shipley, I certainly would. Jimmy worked extremely hard from day one on my case.
He is an extremely knowledgeable attorney with incredible experience on all types of cases.
Jimmy made time to personally answer each and every question I had throughout the entirety of my case. If he didn’t know an exact answer (as I asked every question under the moon), he would quickly go out of his way to find the answer for me. I trusted him with bringing justice to my case and he persevered in every way possible to do just that. As my case required filing a claims bill and going through the long and tedious sovereign immunity process, most attorneys in our local area did not have the knowledge to take on my case. Jimmy and his firm, however, were top notch at knowing every aspect of successfully getting my claims bill passed. I do not live in Florida and had a huge problem with my mother's Condo. HOA pipe burst, water everywhere, mold, and they refused to follow the rules and law to get rid of the mold and replace the drywall. They knew I was living out of state, so they stalled, and stalled, and stalled, while the mold in the Condo got worse, and worse, and worse. I consulted at least 12 attorneys, so-called experts in this field. Not one was as knowledgeable, intelligent, and helpful as Jeff Kominsky. Because of Jeff's assistance, the HOA buckled, and finally did their job. This was only from a 1one-hour consultation with Jeff. What I learned during that consultation gave me the ammo I needed to win the battle with the HOA. Jeff's focus is the law, and he was extremely ethical as well. I am definitely going to use Jeff again when needed.

My encounter with Jed Kurzban was nothing short of a nightmare. I sought Kurzban's legal representation for a police brutality case that I was involved in. The city of Key West, perhaps recognizing the weight of their wrongdoing, offered me a settlement of $200,000 to sweep their police brutality problem under the rug. In retrospect, this hush money proposition was not only unsatisfactory but morally repugnant, given the numerous other victims who had endured similar experiences.
Opting for a trial seemed like the only right path to take, as it felt essential to hold the authorities accountable for their actions. However, what followed during the trial left me questioning the integrity and ethics of my legal representation. The trial proceedings appeared to be tainted from the very start, with a judge who seemed disinterested and even fell asleep during crucial parts of the case. It was evident that something was amiss when police evidence tapes were presented, tapes that bore unmistakable signs of manipulation and editing. What bewildered me further was Kurzban's lack of objection or challenge to these egregious discrepancies. It was as if he had no interest in pursuing justice, and in my opinion, it strongly indicated that Kurzban had possibly received financial incentives from the city of Key West to sabotage my case.
Jed Kurzban's conduct throughout this ordeal has left me deeply disillusioned and convinced that he is not a lawyer to be trusted. His actions, or lack thereof, not only cost me the opportunity for justice but also shattered any faith I had in the legal system. It's disheartening to witness someone in a position of trust who appears to prioritize their financial gains over the pursuit of justice and the well-being of their clients. My experience with Jed Kurzban has been a stark reminder of the importance of thoroughly researching and carefully selecting legal representation, as not all lawyers have their clients' best interests at heart.
Today I live with 7 screws in my ankle and multiple sclerosis. A direct result of a poorly trained inadequetly supervised over equipped federally funded local police department.
the trial and Jed Kurzban defense was extremely suspicious at the very least.

I wouldn't let them draw up a simple power of attorney for me. I called them because they are a big firm I wanted to file suit against a local hospital for miss diagnosing me costing me months of treatment and my cancer to spread and become more aggressive. They said I didn't have a case. I wrote 50 letters and mailed them to 50 different attorneys explaining what this particular hospital did. One attorney responded. A young Lady in Georgia that was also licenced in Florida. She said you have a great case with everything backed up in writing. I would like to handle the case for you. She filed suit for me I never had to go to court or be disposed and she called me in less than a year and said we have a settlement offer from the Hospital and the doctor. My part would have been 275 thousand after she got her part. I said I'm not going to settle for that she said I knew you wouldn't because we talked about what you wanted when we first met. She said I declined it as soon as their attorney called me and I told them you wanted to go to court and pled your case to a jury to decide the amount of suffering they caused you. I thanked her the following week she called me and said they made another offer to keep it out of court. I asked her what the offer was and what my part would be. I settled for a cool 525 thousand dollars as my part she got a total of almost a million dollars on a case these attorneys said wasn't worth it. I still have cancer however I'm getting treatment and I was able to pay off all my debts including my home and set up a trust so my son would have money when I die. I would never call these people again.

If you want to get a run around and wait months at a time for calls to be returned this is the place for you. I have every intent on filing a complaint through the Florida bar concerning this joke of a comp They have two cases of mine, an accident at a school and a car accident. One has been going on for almost 3 years and the car accident, which is something simple, has been going on for almost 6 months and they don't answer the phones. They only tell you that they are going to leave a message for whoever is in charge so they can call you back. What a huge waste of time.

If you value your time, money, and sanity, avoid Avard Law Firm and Carol Avard like the plague. My experience with them from February 13, 2024, to June 5, 2024, was nothing short of a nightmare. In just four months, they managed to completely derail my SSDI case, setting it back to the point where I’m now forced to appeal to the Appeals Council just to get a hearing—a step that wouldn’t even be necessary if they had done their job right.
When they took my case, it was already in a precarious state. I had already gone through the reconsideration process on my own, which took a year, only to be denied. Despite this, Avard Law Firm proceeded to re-file the same appeal I had already done, wasting even more time. The worst part? They filed the wrong paperwork! When I called Social Security myself, I was told explicitly that Avard had filed the wrong documents. When I confronted the firm about this, they flat-out lied to my face, claiming they had filed the correct paperwork, just not the “one Social Security was looking for.” What does that even mean? If it’s not what they were looking for, it’s wrong!
This wasn’t a simple mistake; it was gross negligence. They clearly didn’t care enough to even review my case properly before filing. After I called them out, they finally filed the correct paperwork, but by then, the damage was done. They botched it so badly that my request for a hearing was filed late. Now, thanks to their incompetence, I don’t even get the hearing I deserve unless I go through the Appeals Council—a highly unusual and completely unnecessary step, had they just done their jobs correctly.
I’ve been battling this case since July 2020, and this has been the worst experience by far. To think that in just four months, Avard Law Firm didn’t just fail to move my case forward—they actually ruined it. Their handling of my case was so reckless that it’s hard to believe they are still in business. Thankfully, I’m now under new representation, and I can only hope they can undo some of the damage Avard Law Firm has caused.
