From my first call with Edward I felt cared for.
Two years ago I was attacked by a Pit Bull dog.
I saved my 4lb puppy but in the process was severely hurt. The UCLA Emergency saved me physically. Edward saved me emotionally.
It took him and his team 2 years to find the owner of the other dog. Edward NEVER gave up searching even when I thought it was fruitless. I never thought I would be hit by a car as a pedestrian! But here in LA it’s a real problem with bad drivers texting instead of watching the road! Eduard Fine handled the insurance claim for my injuries. He was very meticulous and efficient, caring and responsive. His knowledge and experience spoke for themselves when the insurance company settled to cover all the medical bills, damaged personal property and missed wages. Although Mr. Glovsky is extremely busy handling health care denial appeals against major health insurers across California, he nonetheless took the time to consult with me in depth over a complex matter involving a health insurer's denial of a medically necessary prescription drug denial to a family member.

The experience that I have had with this office has been absolutely incredible.
I had brain surgery in January of 2023.
Since my surgery, I have had numerous issues arise; from problems with my insurance plan, to incorrect hospital billing, to the lack of proper care by healthcare providers, as well as continued severe headaches and other neurological symptoms post-surgery.
The past year has been a very trying time for me; I have really struggled. During this whole ordeal, there have been only a few professionals who have genuinely appeared to care about the situation I have been stuck in, and who have gone out of their way to try to help me; two of these individuals being Mr. Scott Glovsky and his assistant, Mr. Bruce Kaimo.
It is has been so refreshing to be able to have encounters with such kind and ethical people, especially since I was beginning to wonder if these types of people still exist.
My first encounter with this office was months ago when I was struggling with medical insurance issues. I spoke with Mr. Glovsky’s assistant Bruce, who was very thorough and professional. He explained to me that I had an employer-funded ERISA insurance plan, and even though their office was not able to provide assistance with these types of plans, Mr. Glovsky was still willing to have a phone consultation with me.
When I spoke Mr. Glovsky, he spent the full 15 minutes of the consultation providing me with information about my insurance plan, and explained to me the next steps I should take to attempt to resolve the issue. This was a free consultation; he was aware, going into the call, that he was not going to profit off of my situation, but still chose to help me anyway. This is a sign, to me, of a person who is of very high moral character.
I recently contacted his office again, after a year of struggling, inquiring about the medical situation I am in. His assistant, Bruce Kaimo, responded back to me and was extremely helpful in providing me with information as to how I should proceed.
Based on the experiences I have had, I would not hesitate to recommend this law office to anyone who is seeking legal assistance. If only they took cases in the area of practice that I am looking for, they would be my first choice. I trust them and their advice.

Mr. Beggs responded promptly to my message on AVVO and invited me to call him. He also returned my call quickly. My question was regarding the theft of my wedding rings from my hotel room. Mr. Beggs could have easily benefited by persuading me to engage his services. Instead, he walked me through the pros and cons and using his services vs filing in small claims court. He told me how to file and provided some tips on how to present my information to the judge. I was in a car accident back in 2019, and the driver who hit me was uninsured. I have had 2 previous back surgeries, and this car accident is now causing me to have a 3rd. I contacted Jonathan and he took my case. He not only helped me to get a significant settlement with the uninsured driver (which he did not have to do since this was a case through City Court) but he was able to secure a significant settlement for me through my own insurance company. About a year and a half ago I was hit by a drunk driver and sustained some pretty serious and potentially life-altering injuries. I had a number of phone consultations with lawyers throughout the state (prioritizing competence over geographic proximity). A number of other lawyers I spoke to sounded perfectly competent, but Jon struck me as particularly thoughtful, measured, and precise in his thinking. So I ultimately chose him and am glad I did.
All I can say is that my initial impression of Jon was pretty on point. He is measured and patient in his approach to litigation, which (I think) is an absolutely crucial attribute of a personal injury lawyer, where there is the temptation to get a bit overly aggressive with the opposition and signal impatience, which then might lead to easier, quicker--but ultimately smaller settlements. Point being, Jon is cerebral, patient, and plays the long game.
Further, and maybe most importantly, his ability to formulate strong and well-researched arguments is top-notch. My case was a bit complicated, with a number of moving parts and policies. But throughout the year-or-so process, Jon went up against the legal departments of two big insurance companies, putting forward arguments that were strong enough to get both to fully capitulate (even in a case that was as anything but cut-and-dried as mine was).
There was, however, one negative point with Jon I should mention in fairness. In the little of a year long period I worked with Jon, there was a two-to-three week period where for the life of me I could not get a hold of him. I left numerous voicemails, messages with the secretary, etc, but no luck. After writing an email to him him he promptly responded and explained that he was in the midst of a court-proceeding which was pretty much all-consuming. As demanding as they are, I understood and held nothing against him. (I even debate whether I should include this in my review, but hey, full disclosure.) And after that two/three week lapse of communication he was super prompt in getting back to me and keeping in touch.

I was just looking at my peer reviews on Avvo and thought I have to do one for Sep. I'm an attorney and Sep is actually my attorney. He first contacted me to be an expert witness on a foreclosure matter and after many conversations with him I hired him to represent me on a case. So far, he's represented me on two matters, and while litigation is not pleasant for the participants (not sure if it's worse or better when you yourself are an attorney) it was always a relief knowing Sep was my attorney. When people hire me and leave my office saying they feel a weight lifted from their shoulders that is the highest compliment.
