My daughter was involved in an automotbile accident in an intersection on her 17th birthday. The other person said it was her fault and my daughter said her light was green. I am not the sort of person who sues but my insurance company was useless and all they wanted to do was pay the other guy and close the claim. My own insurance company gave me no choice but to hire an attorney. I looked at the television and what I was looking for was someone local and someone who was a fighter. I found Glenn Guenard and Ross Bozarth.
They knew going in that was not big on suing. They took control and proved my daughter was noit at fault which alone saved my hundreds of dollars and then they settled her case and got her money for a new car. These 2 men worked for me and my daughter and if you want someone on your side I highly recommend these men.

I first hired Bill as an attorney on a housing issue several years ago. He immediately got to work on my case. Within a day, he had waded through some complex local and state housing laws and explained to me in very easy-to-understand terms about what my options were. He was patient and friendly the whole time. After some back and forth with the other party, he wrote a contract that resolved my issue quickly.
Since then, Bill has been my go-to for advice and consultation on anything legally related. He is always friendly and fair, and I never feel like he is pressuring me to hire him (in fact, he almost always gives good advice and then tells me that I don't need to hire an attorney).

My experience with Greer & Rineer Law was a life-changing one that will never be forgotten. In my situation I was dealing with a landlord who owed me back rent due to the fact that my apartment had been an illegal unit. The city made him close down the place and pay me to relocate but it also became apparent that I was owed back rent. When the landlord found out that I was going to pursue getting back some of my rent he began threatening me with all kinds of things that people with lots of money tend to do. He told me that he would sue me with lawyers that were way more expensive than what I could afford and used all kinds of supposed terminology and fake paperwork that he sent to me showing that I would actually owe him more money if I sought reimbursement. This was a very stressful time for me but, when I was referred to Allegra's Law Firm it was then that everything immediately started to de-escalate and I in turn began to de-stress. The best thing I can say about Allegra's Law Firm is that she and her partner never let anything go over my head. A lot of times if you're the layman and you don't understand legal terms and legal jargon it can be very confusing. I find things cmabout the law confusing when I'm just watching on television! Allegra and her partner Kathryn made it very easy for me to understand everything that was going on, they also helped me understand my rights, and they basically made it impossible for my landlord to scare me any longer since I truly knew and was aware of what I was to get back in return. All I can say is Ms. Toubi is a star. Tenant/landlord disagreement that ran for 6 years. I was the tenant dealing with the most unreasonable landlord. I reported them to agencies and the landlord's attorney to The State Bar. No help whatsoever.
Enter Ms Toubi... how she could be in a room with these people I will never know. Despite outright lies from landlord's attorney to her, Ms. Toubi remained professional and on point. The best possible outcome came my way. I won despite the thug tactics of ownership, her management company and her attorney.
Ms. Toubi is smart, professional with an attention to detail. She laid out all possible scenarios and worked with me to resolve this matter. I get to move on with my life, and I have an attorney for life!

This case involved a highly visible commercial property wherein the tenant abandoned the property literally in the middle of the night owing substantial rent to two property owners who were related to each other. Tim had to navigate through this mess representing only one of the property owners (me), which most lawyers would avoid like the plague. Instead, Tim handled it all with a cool head when family drama rivaled anything I could have ever foreseen. I hired Mr. Tatro to help my company collect on a past due bill for our construction consulting services to a large national management company. From the very beginning he kept control. His personal involvement was instrumental in a complete payment with all interest.

I had the chance to work with both Andy Gillin and Jim Larsen. They were able to guide me through the process of my personal injury lawsuit. Jim especially took great care to advise me through the settlement process, which went through several iterations to ensure that I received the compensation for my injuries that I deserved without dragging everyone through a trial. Although Jim says he love trying cases and would've gotten right into the fray if he felt it was the best avenue for my case!

Steve represented us in a very long drawn out eminent domain action vs the city. While we settled our case, our neighbor also was involved with the matter and his case went to trial. After 5 months, Steve prevailed against the city and their three lawyers. As a witness testifying in our neighbors case I was amazed at the level of detail, organization and understanding that the Steve commanded. Steve is an excellent communicator. In speaking, as in court, Steve is authoritative, assertive, polished and confident. In writing, in legal documents, Steve is an excellent wordsmith. I can't define what makes a good writer, but I know it when I see it. Steve's writing skills make boring legal docs come to life.
A good lawyer takes care of the details and deadlines-lets me sleep at night free of worry.
A good lawyer is emotionally invested in my case.
A good lawyer truly has my back.
A good lawyer is like the team captain.
Steve is all of these things and that's a comforting feeling.
What about the question of big firm vs. small firm? Freeland McKinley & McKinley is a small firm. However, you never feel isolated from the legal mainstream. Steve is very active professionally; always interacting with other lawyers. He has partners to bounce ideas off. And, of course, in this case, having a wife, Karen, as a partner is a real advantage. And then add an excellent paralegal, Melody, to the mix and you have a well-oiled machine.
So, you can tell that my wife and I are happy clients. It's difficult to try to appear not too biased when that's exactly what we are. We like our lawyer!

My case is not yet completed, and I wanted to write this before then...because for me, it is about more than a dollar amount. Working with John Winer has helped me realize what it is that happened to me; that brought me into his office. He has reminded me time and again that the injuries and batteries I endured were not my fault. I went to him at such a low and wounded point, and he met me there.
