Highly recommended! Eric and Mikalya handled my case and were a pleasure to work with. I had habitability issues with my apartment. Even after repeated attempts to force my property manager to deal with them, they remained unsolved.
I had a quick consultation with Eric who said that I did have a case. Recently it was settled via mediation with a great result. During the process Eric and Mikalya were very helpful and very responsive. I would always get an email back from Eric or Mikalya the same day.
I highly recommend them and their services if you are facing an issue with your property manager or landlord.

We can’t say enough good things about Mikayla Gow Kellogg. She took on one of the largest and most powerful landlords in San Francisco (trying to get us, husband-and-wife seniors, to move out of our rent-controlled apartment) ... and beat them decisively! She stopped their harassment, forced them to make repairs, negotiated a significant settlement, and best of all, ensured that we could remain in the apartment we lived in and loved.

Todd represented me in an employee related case. I was being sued by some ex employee's in regards to some labor issues. He gave me a free consultation over the phone prior to me even receiving my lawsuit papers.

Recently I went through a divorce. I consulted with an attorney that Nancy recommended who was very helpful, but Nancy who was with me at my appointments with him was even more helpful. He was advocating all sorts of things that would cost a lot of money and drag out what seemed so simple since my ex and I had worked out most of the details. Nancy then suggested to me that I ask for a lump sum from my ex to finalize everything and compensate for the unresolved issues that we had. Her suggestion worked and we finalized everything without the need for further attorneys fees (other than the cost of a mediator to draw up the Settlement Agreement.) More importantly, Nancy comforted me through the process and was a true advocate for me at a very difficult and scary time in my life. She was my guiding light and gave me hope in life again.

Like many unfortunate Americans, I too fell hard on economic times with job and home loss. With limited income the collection calls immediately poured in followed by civil court judgements from credit card companies and their collectors. I was sunk, both financially and mentally. I felt trapped. Depression soon set in along with fear. Fear of the unknown, being served, garnished wages and additional court judgements. When I made that difficult decision to file BK7 I was referred to Anthony and he honestly did an AMAZING job handling my case. I am so grateful for that referral. I couldn't have asked for a better representative. After filing and making a brief appearance before the BK Trustee (which isn't as frightening as you think especially with Anthony by your side), my case closed and my BK was discharged a couple short months later. Finally I can begin picking up the pieces of my life and start fresh and new. I would be more than honored to recommend him anyone needing help or information regarding a BK. I was having problems with getting correct information from my Insurance Carrier after a Non-Insured Drunk Driver T-boned my car. As soon as Justin was hired, the Insurance company was more co-operative with giving information about my case. Justin helped me get a bigger financial award than we both expected because he was constantly questioning the insurer and was fighting for my rights and dollars. I would recommend Justin to my friends and people I don't know. We have hired Brett to represent us for 2 personal injury claims. He has been very helpful in answering all our questions. He responds back to us almost immediately when contacted by phone or email. He is thorough in his record keeping and the best part is that he does all the work for us in acquiring everything needed for our case. Michael's negotiating skills are tremendous. I hired him to represent me on my loss of consortium claim. At the pre-trial mediation session, Mike displayed an excellent knowledge of the case and had a solid command of his legal arguments. He has a great smile and a really effective personal style that built a rapport with the mediator and opposing counsel (representing a large corporation) -- which resulted in a very favorable settlement. Mike didn't rush to a quick result. I was impressed that he was willing to spend the time (many hours) that it took to reach a just and appropriate settlement. After a relationship ended, I found myself in litigation -- a situation I would not willingly choose. Dividing property became impossible when my former partner adopted an extreme position and doubled down on it. Sunena helped me defend myself through many steps of the legal process. Over time, both the facts and the law came out. Although the adversarial nature of the legal system made that a slow and painful process, and I felt overburdened at times, at heart I felt confident because I had a good lawyer and the truth on my side. First, my sincerest apologies to Chris, Pam, and all the staff for my complete negligence and selfish tardiness in posting these reviews of our experience. My only excuse and defense is that I have been having way too much fun these past few months with the toys I have always hoped for in my “Golden Years” of retirement. I.e. Kubota Tractor, hydraulic dump, flat bed, and now constructing a pole barn to store it.
My wife, I, and our Minnie Aussie departed our Olympia, WA home on the start of a month long retirement “road trip of a lifetime.” On day two we were hit by a drunk driver in Joshua Tree, CA. While we were all relatively unharmed our brand new (3,500 miles) GMC truck was totaled. We returned back to Olympia six days later and asked ourselves, “what the heck just happened and now what?” I sat down and composed a six page narrative of what happened describing what was going on in our lives before, at the time, and after, this horrific incident. At the same time, Leta was searching for a personal injury lawyer. After much debate and settling on two, we flipped a coin and Leta won. I am SO glad she did.
I am confident that this narrative assisted Chris greatly in determining the value of our case and, more importantly, who we are, our history, feelings, dreams, etc. And he was able to achieve this without us ever having hade face to face communication. We did have, however, enjoy many hours on the phone at both the beginning and at the end of our near 18 month association. And none of that time on the phone was created for “billing hours.” It was all on Chris’s dime.
Chris worked tirelessly in communication with both the defendant’s insurance company, as well as ours to obtain the maximum “underinsured motorist” coverage we carry. Ultimately, we were awarded the maximum limits allowable on both policies. We each received two checks, one from the drunk drivers insurance, and one from ours. We just renewed with our insurance and I have not noticed any increase in premium. The only way we could have received more money would have been to go to court with a jury trial. Given our Covid-19 environment and the snail’s pace the court is moving, I believe Chris advised us correctly in accepting the full limit offer. I can never thank this firm enough and would, without hesitancy, recommend them to anyone who has been wrongly injured in the Palm Springs area. I’m still looking forward to footing the bill for a meal at Elmer’s.

We had the misfortune of being 1200 miles and 2 states away from home when we were broadsided by a drunk driver in Feb. 2019. Our new truck was totaled right in the middle of 29 Palms Highway. Our injuries were not life threatening thanks to air bags and other safety features. We found Christopher Vader, who along with his trusted sidekick, Pam Kitchens, handled all the details, medical billing, communicating with insurance adjusters and providing us with frequent updates. When it seemed like we were preparing to settle with all involved parties, the Courts shut down due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Chris remained optimistic and by mid summer we received the maximum payout awarded by the Insurance companies. We couldn't be happier with the process and outcome. Thank you Chris (and Pam)!

I initially reached out to Matt for a landlord/tenant dispute via his website on a Sunday in 2016. Matt contacted me the same day and offered immediate assurance that I was protected under the law after being served an illegal eviction notice by my landlord. Never having been in this situation before, I was naturally frantic and Matt was there to help me keep my mind at ease every step of the way. Matt is extremely knowledgeable and while I continued to receive harrassing notices from my landlord, Matt continued to fight on my behalf and now the other other tenants in the building that were affected. After 10 months of exhausting work on all sides, Matt was able to deliver on the expected results and I was able to move out of my apartment with plenty of money to start over at a new place. I hired Alex Comely in 2013 to make an appearance at a hearing on a Demurrer. At the time, I was self represented, against CitiMortgage for damaging personal property. I had recently been released from the hospital, and was still relatively sick. I contacted Alex and he appeared on my behalf, and kept the case alive. He assisted me again in a mediation, and later responding to a MSJ and discovery. I am the analyst I am today because of Alex, I would have drowned in the paperwork, were it not for his providing assistance without taking my first born. I will never forget how disappointed I was when yelp hid my review of Alex, so I'm putting it here. In the end, it took three partners from two law firms and almost 75yrs of experience for the defendant to handle me.

Anthony represented me in a mold case where my home was filled with Stachybotrys mold for 2+ years. My landlord refused to fix any of the problems and my family was constantly sick. After being turned away by Lafave's firm because of statue issues, Anthony took my case head on. Since we didn't find out about the mold being toxic until we hired A & A Mold Investigations (who I highly recommend as well), the statute wasn't an issue anymore. Anthony worked diligently for myself and my family and we were able to settle out of court! My case was not easy. Before I hired Thompson Wedeking, a recovery seemed nearly impossible. To be more specific, I knew I had right on my side and I knew a court would rule in my favor, but whether I would ever see any money was the real issue. The defendant kept switching lawyers, each time hiring a bigger, more expensive firm. At the end of the day, Thompson Wedeking lived up to their name and their slogan, because David beat Goliath in this case.

I was very impressed with how extremely professional and knowledgeable Mr. Thompson was about injury cases. They would always contact me whenever they needed something and my calls were always answered and returned.

I had a very, very tricky Personal Injury ("slip and fall") case that my own attorney eventually rejected. It's got a lot of risk, it involves attorney-expense, time, etc. It's against a Major Bank who vigorously defends such claims, etc. For so many reasons it's WRONG for the top attorneys in this field.
Many or most who either hung-up on me or didn't call back, write back, acknowledge receipt of previous attorney's Demand Letter, etc. Even my own attorney was very lukewarm and unable to give this much time. I understood and understand it all. The fact that an attorney showed interest at all buoyed my surgery and necessary physical rehab, which took a good six months just to again walk. So either way I won, either way this turned out well because I'm walking again, in the gym, exercising, etc.
Attorney Katz was just awesome in that he spent some time on the phone (despite being busy and involved in at LEAST one other trial). Returned all calls. If he said and says he'll call he does and did. I was just amazed at the Class-Level given the fact this Slip-and-Fall case is not an attractive proposition. I knew when my first attorney said he's bailing that it was a one-shot thing, a Demand Letter then everyone go home. People have to make a living, pay the rent, it has to make sense for these top guys.
From what I understand, Attorney Katz is about as "Tops" as it gets. My first attorney was SURPRISED
to hear Attorney Katz expressed ANY interest. (thought maybe I misunderstood or had wax in my ears).
He said REALLY, Richard M. KATZ returned a call on this - wow - did Attorney Katz SEE the Demand Letter?! Which just shows how other attorneys in this field regard Attorney Katz - as the top of the top.
I'm writing this because I just got off the phone with Attorney Katz.
He AGAIN called back (each time I'm shocked), this is THIRD time even though he senses/knows there's nothing very strong - or unusual - or favorable about my position.
Which is okay, as written I recovered, I'm well, I'm exercising again - as written the THOUGHT there might be compensation for a difficult year BUOYED my rehab, at least gave me some hope.
So Attorney Katz, just wanted to come here, reflect on what a class guy you are - and how anyone needing a top Los Angeles-Pasadena-Glendale-based attorney should first consult you.
I'm really in awe in light of the response from the others - and my respect for you knows no bounds.

Scott has help me out on many occasions. The one that matter the most to me was he won us a case on an unlawful detainer case. That case was a nightmare, where the tenants won't pay and wouldn't leave the property. Worst part was the tenants were someone close to me and my wife, so it was a very emotional case.
