Alex Scheingross has been my father's and my attorney since 1998. He created a trust for my dad which was thorough and trouble-free when my dad passed last year. He and his assistant have always been there during the many years of my dad's illness: availability, kindness, and legalities (POAs, trust amendments, etc.). Mr. Scheingross also helped me every step of the way when my dad passed - from guiding me as the executor to recording properties to dealing with family issues.
Mr. Scheingross also created my trust in 1999 and has been patient with all the changes I have requested as a result of my sons reaching adulthood and my need to have everything in place for my sons.

There are so many great things to say about Marty Weniz, this review cannot possibly do him justice, but here it goes:
A few years ago, at the age of 25, I had sustained a fall while walking along an un-lit deck. In the dark, unbeknownst to me, there was no railing and I fell 5 feet breaking my leg. Or so I was told. Months later, after much persistent pain it turned out that the doctor failed to diagnose that I had shattered my heel as well, and that the fracture was so severe, it required immediate surgery at the time of the injury. My hind foot suffered permanent damage, to which I still feel the effects today. Beaten down, but fueled with the desire to seek some justice, I had looked around for attorneys and no one wanted my malpractice case because it wasn’t “serious enough;” did I mention everyone drooled over my personal injury case? That is until I found Marty. He met with me immediately; he told me that he was taking BOTH cases!!!
He told me from the get go that this was going to be a process, and that I needed to be patient. Many discoveries, and often stressful depositions later, Marty always made sure I was super prepared for my depositions, and he kept me in the know, step by step. Then, almost like the universe came together to hand us good karma wrapped in a bow, in a matter of months, we got not one, but TWO very large settlements from the malpractice AND personal injury cases. Even Marty was flabbergasted that it happened so quickly and successfully!
The point of my little tale is to not only to sing this lawyer's praises for all to read, but to solidify that I truly feel Martin Weniz is just about one of the best attorneys the legal profession has got. When my family and I experienced a most unexpected and emotionally painful loss which we believed merited legal pursuit, we interviewed several plaintifs' attorneys before choosing to have Marty represent us. We were impressed not only by his knowledge, experience, and professionalism, but by his compassion. We also always felt that he was interested in our case for its relevance to challenges faced in the health care industry as well as its meaning to us personally. Our case took a long time to resolve. Re-experiencing the initial event over and over through the legal process was very hard, but Marty was right beside us to prepare us for each step, and support us through unpleasant things like the discovery process, and arbitration meetings. He always seemed to find time to just hear me "vent" or respond to what might have seemed "dumb" questions to someone with more experience. He understood that for us, our case was much more a matter of principle than monetary gain and represented us accordingly. In the end he helped achieve a settlement that was, I believe, viewed as fair on both sides of the table. While I sincerely hope to never need such services again, I am glad to know that Marty is around, just in case. I consider him still to be a friend.

I was in an injury issue where I got hurt, in short. It was not my fault, so I needed representation, and I went to a different lawyer. That was my biggest mistake.
I then met Andrew and hist team. This was the best accidental meeting. I changed lawyers immediately, and found the difference to be staggering. Andrew remembered my name, everything I told him, all bills and everything were scanned in and in a neat file, it was like night and day (Andrew being a very sunny day) whereas my previous representation, well, it was dark. Anyhow, it was one of the easiest experiences ever. I followed direction, did what I needed to do, and my case was probably the simplest thing I have ever completed. I would recommend him to anyone, and have already recommend him to my cycle club for anyone that needs representation, and will continue to do so as long as he is practicing and I have breath in my lungs.

I've hired Andrew on 2 occasions. First, for a very basic review of an employment contract. Andrew was great and caught some very important things that I would have overlooked.

I contacted Mr. Scire because I needed a will, health care directive and power of attorney done. My job transferred me to Ireland, therefore I wanted to ensure that my affairs were in order. Domenico went out of his way to come to my home and explain every document in great detail.

Julia Vlahos started as my attorney but ended as my friend. I truly am at a loss to explain all the support, concern and advice she gave me, over more than two years. We cannot control how slow this process goes, but I would want to share this with her every time regardless. I was 74 years old when I was diagnosed with pleural mesothelioma. At the time of my diagnosis I was a retired nurse. I was never occupationally exposed to asbestos. However I did breathe in asbestos fibers at home when I laundered my husband's dirty work clothes. My husband had worked in a foundry and at a ship–dismantling yard in Richmond, California.
When we first consulted with another well–known asbestos law firm in California, and were disappointed when that firm rejected their case. We called Clapper, Patti, Schweizer & Mason, they determined that we were entitled to compensation.
We sued my husband's employers. Clapper Patti Schweizer and Mason were able to develop evidence to prove that my husband's employers should have known about the hazards of asbestos, and should have taken steps to protect my husband's and our family members from being exposed to asbestos fibers. Clapper Patti Schweizer and Mason argued that my husband's employers had a duty to protect me from the asbestos my husband encountered at work, and that they failed to take any steps to prevent me from being exposed.
Clapper Patti Schweizer and Mason argued that my husband's employers should have instructed their employees about asbestos hazards, that they should have provided them with breathing protection, and that they should have provided changing rooms and laundry facilities so the employees did not bring home fibers home to their families.
We settled with the responsible companies just before trial for a total of $4.4 million.

John did a trial for me, listened and I gave him all of the papertrail, kept and when I listened to the witnesses for against me (they sued me) to get me out of the apartment building by the new owners....anyway, if he has the paper trail, receipts, you do your homework...you are a good witness for yourself and accept his coaching he will fight for you, the jury has to believe you, like you and the insurance company can't win.thank you john...Tompkins

I haven't retained this attorney, but will offer a review of how she handled my specific inquiry directly from an email sent to her which I obtained on the CA Bar Association website.
I received a very expeditious reply and a time to phone me was requested. When that time came, I received a phone call from a woman with a very pleasant and compassionate sounding voice. I told her I’d send a document that would explain my situation and she said she would review it and see if she’s a good fit. Within the hour I received an email stating that it wasn’t a good fit, in addition to giving me contact info for 3 firms that would be a good fit.
I had already been acquainted with one of the firms and I wrote her back telling her so. She responded back to me and reassured me I’d be in good company.
In all my years, I believe I've developed the ability to sense compassion and “good” in humans. In light of this, I can say that Kristen Jones is a great asset to her field and to the community. I would have not hesitated for a moment to retain her if she was the right “fit” for my case.

She helped move forward a conservatorship for my Aunt and Uncle that has some bad family history attached to it.

I have been a client here since 2013. I read alot of the below reviews, and I had a very different experience with Anh than most. Anh, Patrick, and Jeff made me feel comfortable and always walked me through every issue. They didn't sugar coat anything and just flat out told me how it is. They gave me realistic expectations. They helped me immensely in preparing for deposition and mediation. Answered every question honestly and forthcoming. If you have unrealistic expectations on your case, of course you will be bitter. Lawsuits take a long time. Especially if it involves injury. Your case cannot settle or get resolved until your injuries are fully healed or in a permanent state.
I am very happy with the results of my case. Mainly because I felt the knowledge and the experience these guys brought were top notch. They fought hard for me . Showed up at my QME appointments and was there every step of the way. Lawyers are busy. They're not always available 24/7. I know this. Patrick and Anh responded to every email I would send within 10 hours. Easily. I never felt neglected or unimportant to them.
If you are looking for an attorney that will be there with you and will be honest with you. They wont tell you what you want to hear. I had a great experience with them and you should give them a chance.
*** As a side note. Don't be turned away by the firms name. They don't only represent Vietnamese clients. I am white/Mexican and they treated me with respect and honesty. They speak perfect english and Patrick is a stand up guy. You'll be happy with these guys on your side!

I would recommend anyone considering an attorney to look no further than Scott Wu. I have worked with Scott for the last ten years now, and I haven't encountered an issue that Scott wasn't able to resolve. He has helped my husband and I prevent costly mistakes by always reviewing contracts first before we sign them. Bonus, he's pretty funny and definitely witty. However, opposing parties beware he can be quite firm and aggressive if needed. I'm glad he's on my side.

My young family was in a car accident recently. Thankfully, our injuries were not severe. However, we had to deal with a severely damaged car, minor injuries to my wife and I and the stress of dealing with our two boys (both under the age of 4) who were certainly shaken by the experience. After some initial back and forth with the insurance company on my own, the insurance adjuster made its "final" offer of payment. I was not comfortable with the process and made an appointment with Ms. Holm. She took the time to understand my case (even though I am sure it was a very minor matter for her office). She put together a comprehensive demand letter to the insurance company....and lo and behold....the insurance company DOUBLED their payment offer!! We could not have been happier with the personal attention offered to us by Ms. Holm. We highly recommend her as a legal advisor.

Mr. Lederer has handled a rape case and an auto accident case for me and my family. With each case I was informed of the good, the bad, and the ugly that was taking place.
