Patrick helped me with an employment issue. It was a very stressful, anxiety provoking time. Once I had Patrick's help and expertise, I felt much better able to navigate the issue. I had an important question regarding probate law. I contacted my previous family law attorney, explained my situation and subsequent question to her assistant, and waited all day for a response. Her assistant called me back late afternoon with no answer to my question and the suggestion that I reach out to her partner who specializes in probate law. I was then told I’d have to wait three weeks for a zoom call to ask her partner my question.
I googled highly rated probate attorneys and stumbled upon Jenkins and Jenkins. I called, explained my question to the assistant and was put through to a cheerful Caroline Jenkins. She listened to my concern and answered my question, which enabled me to make the right decision to drop further pursuit. She also gave me a referral in case I wanted to go forward through legal channels.

Antony has represented me for the past two years in several matters including: employment matters, regaining my license after losing my license from too many tickets and he was able to get my full (non-restricted) driving privileges back. I was told it was impossible by everyone, but he found a way to get me an emergency meeting and we wrote out a declaration and went fully prepared and the DMV liaison was impressed that he gave me my full unrestricted driving privileges back!

I never needed a lawyer until I was rear ended and it was so clear cut who was at fault I thought I was able to handle it myself but after about a year I decided it was too much stress work and hassle so I shopped around and I was looking for the lowest price attorney which I think was Brett and I'm glad I found him so down to earth humble and a great office environment because it's just basically him and the secretary you will deal with which is very comforting well he handled everything made all the Timely calls and appointments even offering us rides when we needed it. He's such a nice guy but knows the law even the other side likes him. Lots of experience I would use him again and recommend him highly. He's the type of lawyer that you would want to be friends with afterwards. We ended up settling in mediation so I didn't get a chance to see him go to trial which would be a good idea to do if you can before you hire him. Has a very nice office location that's very reassuring and in a nice location. Be sure to go to Pho Xpress right around the corner for a good meal at a reasonable price. So if you ever need a lawyer don't handle it yourself it's a waste of time and one more thing about Brett is you get the feeling he is not a crooked lawyer which is a plus when you are in the right! And the top it all off and I'm not implying it may happen to you but maybe because I was such a good client and we did a lot of the paperwork to a degree he even gave me a percentage of his settlement probably because of the pain and suffering I had to go through and how tight the other side was which was Allstate Insurance. Another reason I was blessed to find him by happenstance was because I was looking for a lawyer who was near me and he was also he always return phone calls right away and emails and he communicated very thoroughly and patiently from the beginning to the end not like some lawyers who are so friendly in the beginning to get you to sign with them but then afterwards they are more colder but not Brett he was very professional and kind to the end. San Diego is blessed to have him living here helping us get a fair trial, Justice and compensation for our pain and suffering. And if I was to share some advice I would say don't use your own credit cards on different doctors like I did searching all over for a cure because the other side will not settle soon enough and you have so many fees and interest that my credit is ruined. I I would recommend just send one group of doctors and just have one bill and that based on contingency of a settlement that would have resulted in so much less stress and problems in my life. There is a really nice place in Hillcrest call fix body group and they handle everything there I went there and should have stayed there to my healing was complete which it never was but then again I had to do a bunch of injections and Kaiser really did me right but they couldn't feel the pain short of major surgery to replace my neck bones with screws and pieces of metal. But now I heard they have new treatment where they will take a cadavers bone and if it's a match can fix your neck which I may still do in the future. Anyways don't drink and drive or get distracted by the radio your cell phone or any other sightseeing please just look ahead all the time and do not tailgate and be prepared for for a car to stop at anytime even on the freeway in the middle of the day in perfect weather. There's no need to speed or tailgate if you do you risk much pain and suffering for yourself or others and in the end it only saves you a few minutes better to be safe than sorry and an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure. You will get there when you get there life is too short to have to go through it with pain for the rest of your life!

I have been working the phone the past few days in a attempt to get legal advise and hire a lawyer. The last several offices I called either did not answer their calls or had a receptionist take a message only to never hear from them again. The one or two who did answer my call either had no interest or did not practice in the area I required. Neither offered any advise or a referral. Then I got lucky and gave Brett Peterson a call. Brett did not practice in the area I needed however he spent the last 15 minutes, giving me referrals and advice on how to proceed forward. I appreciate and value Bretts honesty and advise. I will absolutely keep him in mind should I have a need in the future!

Anthony represented me in a mold case where my home was filled with Stachybotrys mold for 2+ years. My landlord refused to fix any of the problems and my family was constantly sick. After being turned away by Lafave's firm because of statue issues, Anthony took my case head on. Since we didn't find out about the mold being toxic until we hired A & A Mold Investigations (who I highly recommend as well), the statute wasn't an issue anymore. My case was not easy. Before I hired Thompson Wedeking, a recovery seemed nearly impossible. To be more specific, I knew I had right on my side and I knew a court would rule in my favor, but whether I would ever see any money was the real issue. The defendant kept switching lawyers, each time hiring a bigger, more expensive firm. Ryan, actually helped my wife and i with a car accident. It was fairly basic case, but where can you go to an Atty and get honest, fast, reliable help? Only at the Mccabe law firm. If you want an atty that knows what he is talking about, an atty that is upfront and is not mainly interested in how much he will be make right off the bat than call Ryan. Most atty wont even answer your calls unless you have given them money and than more money before you even know if you have a chance or not.

We can’t say enough great things about Marc Witham. He is professional, responsive, and has excellent follow-through. Most important, he is highly knowledgeable of California state rental laws so he’s well qualified to put landlords in their place.
In our case, my wife and I had lived in a rental house for seven years and always had a good relationship with the landlord. Due to an undiscovered water leak, the wood floors in the house began to heave and buckle over the course of a month. The landlord’s handyman removed a section of flooring and we observed white mold covering the dirt crawl space. The entire floor needed to be removed and the mold remediated. Rather than work with us to temporarily move out, the landlord sent us an email stating she had no choice but to evict us.
We’re certain the true reason she evicted us was to substantially increase the rent. The effect on us was that we were pushed into a highly inflated San Diego rental market, with rents at 30% and higher than what we’d been paying. Panic set in the moment we received the 60-day notice.
When we were evicted, our stress levels reached boiling point as our landlord kept calling us daily to find out when we’d be moving. We needed help right away. Marc’s online appointment system let us set up an initial consultation (we were able to schedule a call the very next morning). As residential tenants, it cost us $160 for our first call. That may seem like a lot, but the waves of relief we felt afterward made it well worth the money.
It’s the relief from stress that we appreciated most. What we really needed was enough time to find a new rental. On that first call, after hearing our situation Marc was immediately able to cite a state code section that granted us far longer than the landlord’s 60-day notice. He also advised that her notice wouldn’t hold up because it wasn’t properly formatted or delivered. It was clear we were working with the right attorney for the job.
Our rental situation dragged on for over two months, and we spent just under $1,000 in attorney fees. It was worth every cent. Marc initially issued a detailed letter, filled with legal citations specific to our case (i.e., not a form letter), that pushed back on the landlord. When she kept calling us, which we considered harassment at that point, Marc intervened again and asserted he was now acting as our voice, stating all communications needed to go through him. Words can’t express the relief we felt.
Not only did Marc get us the time we needed to find a new place, he also helped negotiate an equitable settlement so we could recoup expenses we’d suffered. We’re not talking millions here, but it was enough to ease the pain and cover our moving costs.
If you’re in a bind with your landlord, I would highly suggest Marc’s services. My wife and I remain confident that hiring Marc was the smartest move we possibly could have done. – Kurt S.
