Not to knock my Public Defender, but she had already written me off after a 90 second conversation, and told me I should plead guilty to a deal without asking more than 3 questions. I almost just accepted this, but knew I wasn’t guilty and decided not to be a victim of the system built to protect me.
I first called Decio to ask his opinion on my case, and I immediately felt he was invested in finding out the full details and did not jump to any conclusions. After our brief 10 minute phone discussion, he laid out a few ways he thought the case could go, but offered to meet in person the same day to provide a more in depth assessment. We met at his office, which is very warm and welcoming, and went to a private conference room where for about 30 mins he and I discussed the case, after which he told me how he thought he could best fight the case for me, and that all hope was not lost as the Public Defender had made me feel at my initial hearing. His confidence in me and what I was telling him convinced me he was going to be not only my best chance at a fair outcome, but to deal with someone who looked at me as an individual, not just another case number to get through.
Throughout the case, Decio personally reached out to me at least a dozen times to keep me up to speed, to ask for meetings, info, etc.... I never once had to go looking for him. When he explained something over the phone that I just wasn’t sure or clear about, he always invited me to come meet at the office to work through things, always reassuring.
The longer our relationship grew, the more I could feel him becoming personally attached to my outcome, and it really felt like I had someone on my team who wanted not only the best outcome for the case, but for my life moving forward in general.
If you’re on the fence about whether to hire a private attorney, I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Decio, and am so very certain now making the call to him changed the path my life was headed. With the public defender, I’d be living the rest of my life with a conviction and the stigma and shame for something I wasn’t guilty of. With Decio, NO CONVICTION, CASE DISMISSED! And also, just as important, I don’t feel like a helpless civilian who can be railroaded into guilt, I know that if you have the right help, you can push back!

Beyond grateful for Decio Rangel’s legal help. When I initially called Decio, he was calming, professional, and was able to urgently schedule an appointment to see us. We retained both Decio and Mark for our case.

I can score Kevin Kalajian top score in every phase of him helping me with injury accident in Fresno in my RV when I was traveling Solo Fulltime cross country.
He answers the phone. returns calls promptly. replies to emails promptly. experienced with the other insurance company. experienced and knew his way around my med insurance provider and medicare.. He completed all the paperwork that I couldn't have done.
He kept me updated of status and explained everything in Laymans terms . was not condescending. He facilitated a satisfactory settlement while avoiding a trial. I tried 3 other law offices and never got past the call screeners. Kevin listen to the whole problem of 3 month trip interruption in a hotel in triple digit temps in fresno not knowing anyone. all this was smoothly accomplished remotely as i was still traveling 2 months before the 2 yr statute of limitations was up. I called him April 3 2023. He was my last attempt to try another referral.. and he was a blessing. He worked hard for me but made it look easy. My settlement will help if I ever need further PT or cover diminished value if needed when sell my RV. Plus pain and suffering. He dispersed my settlement to me promptly after he received the funds.
Also. He seems very ethical. he did not send me around to doctors trying to beef up my injury claim. I Can't say enough good things about this smooth settlement experience with Kevin Kalajian.

I wouldn't have any other attorney for my case and just because you are in a different county example san Bernardino but your case goes to Riverside you can still contact this attorney Eric Youngquist he works for all California it doesn't matter where your case is where you are located you can count on him , a council stated to me once why did I contact an San Bernardino county attorney if I'm in Riverside i clearly stated to the council I chose my attorney and it doesn't matter what county he is licensed for all California all the way up to San Francisco to all the way down San Diego he will be there for you , just like he was there me.

Recently, I found myself in a potentially disasterous situation, and when I called for Mr. Thorman (who I had previously retained on a different case) I was told he had retired. Panic! However, Mr. Jared Winter stepped in for the rescue, literally.
First conversation: He informed me that he consulted with another lawyer prior to returning my call. I immediately felt a sense of relief (brainstorming among intellectuals often yields better results) at his honesty and then his advice that he gave me.
The consult was a goldmine: he instantly informed me what not to do (which incidently resulted in me not getting charged) and informed me what my legal obligations were.
Later that day I required more help as few more details came to light: I received a call back about 20 minutes later and he helped me with my option to navigate through my situation. When it did not work, the following business day Mr. Winter handled my issue with the police officer in such a manner that I did not have to personally meet/talk or even look at the officer. Mr. Winter mentioned the officer asked me to come in-person & hand some paperwork, however my lawyer maneuvered it so that it was e-mailed instead.
Lastly, during my first conversation Mr. Winter asked if I was okay, injury wise. It completely caught me off guard. It was unexpected and honestly refreshing! I've worked with a few lawyers and in my experience most were very "as a matter of fact" and focused only on prepping me on what to expect. I don't remember anyone ever asking me if I was okay.

Life is a complicated thing. As you attempt to make the best of it, we all make mistakes along the way. With my mistakes came consequences. I was arrested for making bad decisions, and I needed legal representation. I was arrested in Nevada, and because I was facing 3 felonies in California, I was held on a 30 day extradite hold at CCDC in Las Vegas. Because I was on a hold I didn't have a public defender or anybody representing me. If California wanted to pick me up, they had 30 days to come get me. I could have waited the 30 days, but regardless if California came or not, my warrants would still be active. I would have the same monkeys on my back as before the 30 days. A strong support system insisted that this can be handled differently than me just waiting. I decided to hire a lawyer. My mother did some research and found a firm where I was blessed with Jared Christian Winters. These charges were old, marijuana based, but still felonies. I am a professional and I couldn't bare being a felon. I didn't know if a lawyer could really do anything for me on an extradite. My boss is who translated everything to me because I was locked up, and he dealt with my lawyer more than I did. As time continued while locked up, Jared continued to fight for me. I felt comfortable with everything as he progressed through this case. I was in jail and I wasn't afraid. He pulled all punches to get this extradite lifted and me released. He was able to get my charges reduced in California, without me there, because I was in jail. Then with just misdemeanors it was evident that if I was in California, I would already be released. That made it clear that they weren't coming. It just had one problem, Clark County wouldn't facilitate the lift on the Nevada side. Mr. Winter went at it again. He eventually got my charges reduced, and was able to get my lift released with a citation signed by a lawyer in Nevada. From what I hear this is very rare. Not too many cases end in a lifted extradite hold. My original release date was on Thanksgiving of 2018. I was released a week early and got to spend the holiday with my family. This alone made hiring Jared as my lawyer the smartest thing I could have ever done when my freedom is at stake. After I was released, I called him and asked if we can hire him again. He went to court on those original felony charges that he was able to reduce while I was incarcerated in another state. Following court on December 13th, my entire case is dismissed. We all make mistakes, and we all deserve another chance. Sometimes we need life to give us a break. I thank you Jared Christian Winter for getting me that break, allowing me to move on with my life, and taking those monkeys off my back. I highly suggest others with legal issues do the same.

I've worked with other attorneys in the past mostly for family law, custody, divorce ect..... I hired Mr. Winter for a restraining order situation that I was in with a tenant that lived on my property. I was extremely pleased with his services. He was so on top of things! The whole entire process felt so streamlined. When I was charged with possession of a gun in California. I didn't know who to call me being from out state. Michael Phillips was a savior in my DUI case. I would not have received the right judgments without him. He went through my case throughly and knew that I was treated unfairly. He went above and beyond all expectations. I won my DMV Court Hearing, which saved me from losing my license. To be honest if I lost the DMV court hearing I would of lost my job and my long distance relationship with my now husband would of suffered. He lived in San Diego and I lived in Huntington Beach, so driving to see each other was important. My court case was then dropped from a DUI to a Wet In Reckless.
Now he is helping me expunge my case for a great price. I don't really need the expungement because I own my business but for such a great price, I can't say no to the offer.
Thank you Micheal. It was a very stressful time for me and my family and if you didn't help me I don't think I would be in the great position that I am in my life today. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Mr. Phillips is one of two lawyers who handled my DUI case. I was immediately impressed, as he was willing to take my consultation call after hours, and was very straight-forward with no sales pitch, scare tactics, or too-good-to-be-true promises. He took a lot of time to explain the process and what to expect, and to review the possible outcomes of my case. I hired John Forsyth to help me get my husband out of jail after he was arrested on a fugitive warrant when, unbeknownst to us, charges were filed against him in another state. It took us 9 very stressful days to get him out, and I don’t know what I would have done without John Forsyth. At every turn, John gave practical, sound information and advice that empowered me to make decisions about next steps… pros and cons, implications of various decisions, etc. He cut through the quagmire of legal jargon and procedure to help me understand what was going on and what I needed to do. John was compassionate but did not sugarcoat the situation, give false hope, or do a lot of handholding… BUT he fought hard inside and outside the courtroom, kept me informed at every turn, and leveraged all of his experience, expertise, and resources to essentially get the best win possible. Hiring John to defend me in my case was the best thing I could have done. John is a true professional through and through. He is hard working, diligent, tenacious, and extremely knowledgeable. He is a straight shooter, and very focused, and keeps his clients informed at all times as to the goings on involving their case, no matter how small the detail may be.
John and his amazing defense team represented me in a sexual case where I was falsely accused, and was facing multiple charges that would have resulted in possible life sentences. My case dragged on for 3+ years in part, due to the closure of the court system due to the pandemic, and John stood by me every step of the way. Throughout the entire ordeal, John worked on my case with true professionalism, and always kept me updated as to what was happening, and what was the next step we would be facing as the proceedings continued. Knowing the severity of the accusations I was facing, John also acknowledged my fears and anxieties throughout the case, and displayed a very compassionate side as well by always encouraging me to stay strong.
As the prosecution continued to try different tactics ( ie...attempting to raise my bail, adding charges ), John always had answers that negated all of their attempts. John and his team responded to every "curveball" the prosecution threw at them in a timely and professional manner.
Ultimately, a plea was offered for a much lesser charge, and we agreed, as this would be absolutely the best possible outcome to what were the original charges. Although I didn't receive the full exoneration I had hoped for, I owe my freedom an my life to John Forsyth.
To anyone who is facing criminal charges of any kind, I highly recommend you look no further than John Forsyth. He is amazing, and between him and his team of professionals, I personally can not imagine you would find anyone better than John.

My family and I would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to my lawyer, Randall Page, and his partner, Lisa Wong, for the immediate resolution of my felony domestic violence case resulting in the outcome all in our favor. Upon identifying that my mental health issues played a significant role in the case, Randall immediately gathered all necessary psychiatric records and personally contacted my psychiatrist and requested her to prepare a report containing all pertinent details as required by the court in order to divert my case from criminal to mental health. I've never written a Google review before but I had such a positive outcome in my case that I'd like to recommend Ms. Kopelman's practice to those in need of an attorney who can support you through your ordeal. I spoke with a few attorneys when I found myself involved in an unexpected legal mess. I was really frustrated just trying to figure out legal representation, which I've never needed before. Some attorneys were impossible to even reach. I got a lot of answering services. Some attorneys honestly explained why they COULDN'T help me. I was scared and needed help. Lisa Kopelman's name had been given to me by a friend who's son had used her. I left a message with her service at the end of a business day and was shocked and relieved when she called me back the same afternoon.
Lisa made an appointment with me for the very next day and, for the first time since my problem started, I started to feel like maybe there was a way forward. I did not realize the full scope of my situation until Lisa heard me out and put everything into a legal context. I was actually more concerned about some issues that turned out to be more about my reputation than actual legal problems. Lisa distilled the real legal matters and outlined a comprehensive plan of action.
I'm an educator and tried to research the laws and court precedents. I felt pretty informed and totally overwhelmed. That's when a colleague pointed out to me that getting a lawyer is like going to a surgeon. You learn what you can about your condition but you have to put yourself in the hands of the expert when it comes to the actual surgery. So you better make sure you're in the best hands possible. And you have to trust they have only your best interest at heart and they know exactly what you need.
It may sound hokey, but this made perfect sense to me. Once I realized that I had done my due diligence in selecting Lisa, I decided it wasn't helping me or my case to worry constantly. I hired an attorney who I felt had a ton of experience and who would turn over every stone to help me and not miss anything. I can't say I ever felt completely safe during the whole ordeal but I did feel like I'd done all I could and Lisa would take it from there to do everything she could. She was very serious about being thorough.
In the end, I was spared a lot of unnecessary court appearances and Lisa negotiated a resolution, with the other parties involved, that I thought greatly favored me. Not everything went completely my way but I know it went as well as possible. I told Lisa that I hope I never need her services again but it gives me great peace of mind to know she's there.

The charge against me was a misdemeanor hit and run. I was very nervous and fearful, because I have never been in trouble with the law. I knew right away that I had to find a knowledgeable attorney who truly cared about representing me to the best of their ability. I was put on the streets so I could not fight a case against police when the police illegally impounded my RV I was living in. I was getting harassed everyday by them, now homeless until I was able to put enough money together and bought a truck. 2 weeks after buying this truck outright from dealer for $3000, I was pulled over for no reason. It was literally just so they could impound my brand new truck again and keep me on the street homeless. I spent all I had on truck so I could not get it out of impound and they sold it at auction leaving me homeless with nothing once again. Completely unaware that the cops actually wrote a ticket for this incident, I missed the court date because of them leaving me homeless with nothing for the second time and can’t get mail. They are charging me with misdemeanor drug possession, misdemeanor possession of tear gas. Like wtf (I had a can of pepper spray on a keychain under the seat. There also was no drugs so no paraphernalia want to plead not guilty and fight the case but I don’t want to lose my bed at homeless shelter by going to jail until court date. How can I do this?
