I have had several lawyers over the years, from criminal defense to family law. Shaun has always been clear on the expectations of the three cases I have had with him, and bottom line is that he has WON ALL THREE CASES for me. Shaun is always VERY fast with getting back to me through email and text message. One last important issue that makes me give Shaun Khojayan a 5 star rating is that he always answers my questions without eating up my retainer (as long as it is a simple question). lawyers I have had in the past are not about wining my case. This man is truly a savior, I was charged with federal bank fraud and multiple identity theft charges and was facing forsure jail time. If you are in need of consistently aggressive, calculated and very professional advocacy, Wallin and Klarich is the law firm that you should go to. I understand, it is terrifying to be in a situation wherein you are accused specially if you have not have not had experience with the legal system before, so looking for strong lawyers will be your best defense.
Our story with Wallin and Klarich started when we had a serious accusation thrown at a family member. I called them on a Saturday evening, left a message; I immediately got a call from Jonathan Lynn, one of their senior lawyers who made an appointment with us even on a Sunday. He then referred us to one of the partners of the firm, Matthew Wallin, and after our first meeting, we knew that we were starting off on the right path in having this firm at our side.
Matt was always there for us. I know he is a top rated lawyer who handles a lot of cases, but he never made us feel that our case was any less serious or less important. He was always prompt, detailed, pro-active and he was always respectful. Contrary to what a few negative reviewers post here, this firm never made us feel that our case was about money first. I actually had to ask them several times to review the retainer since I really felt that they were spending so much time on our case vs. what we were paying for. Matt is a very strong advocate and he really cares about his clients. He acted as a confidant, coach, lawyer, mentor during our darkest and most trying times. Like I always said to him, his advocacy is much more than whatever money we can pay for. His service, his care, his diligence is unsurpassed. I was pulled over for doing donuts in an empty dirt lot, and the police officer told me I would get something in the mail. Almost a year later, I got a court summons telling me I was to be charged with misdemeanor reckless driving and vandalism. Adding insult to injury, the DA’s office made me court date AFTER I had moved out of state for school! After consulting with and retaining Matt Wallin, I could not be happier with the outcome. He represented me and kept me updated with all relevant info, and was very professional. Mr. Wallin eventually got both charges dropped and the case dismissed. Considering I could have been facing jail time, a nasty fine and a license suspension, this could not have gone any better for me. A big thank you to Mr. Matt Wallin and the entire team!

I had a DUI case and a resisting arrest charge. Although this was my first offense, the city where I was pulled over and ticketed is known for being very strict. However, Eric was a formidable advocate. He successfully got one of my DUI counts dropped and the resisting arrest charge reduced. His communication and strategy were impeccable. In the interest of Justice, he did everything correctly to prove my innocence. He contacted people, made calls and went to speak to the dective and the district attorney directly. I hired Mr. Wallin to handle a very important matter. He came highly recommended and the recommendation was correct! He has over 30 years in practice, including time as a prosecuting attorney. All the DA's and judges know him and respect him. That is just who you want reprenting you. He was thoroughly prepared, had spoken to the DA in advance and my case took all of ten minutes for the judge to follow the recommendation of the DA and find in my favor. If I could give Angela 10 stars, I would. She is absolutely amazing! If you are looking for a lawyer in the Lake County or Sonoma area, I highly, highly recommend her. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the law, but she is also incredibly kind! We all have dealt with lawyers that are, for lack of a better word, jerks, and kind of look their nose down at you. This is 100% not Angela. She is kind, down to earth, and very intelligent. But don’t let her kindness fool you, she is a bulldog in every sense of the word. She will fight for you, like you were her own flesh and blood.
One of the worst things that could happen to you, is being accused of a crime. I myself faced a bogus charge from a jilted ex lovers new fiancé. This charge had the ability to take my career for me, and Angela made sure that did not happen. I had a deeply frustrating experience with Ross family law that I feel compelled to share. My interaction with this firm, particularly with their receptionist, was marked by unprofessionalism and a lack of genuine support. I was seeking legal assistance with a challenging child custody and child support dispute, but my experience with this firm was far from satisfactory.
From the outset, the receptionist’s attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. When I called to inquire about potential legal representation, I was met with a curt and indifferent response. Rather than offering any assistance or guidance, the receptionist informed me that all the attorneys at the firm were fully booked and either could not or would not take on new cases. This response was not only frustrating but seemed to be a blanket refusal rather than a genuine assessment of the firm’s capacity.
What was most concerning about this interaction was the lack of willingness to explore any potential for assisting with my case or even directing me to someone who might help. Instead of providing a referral or suggesting alternative steps, the receptionist’s demeanor suggested a complete disinterest in addressing my needs. This kind of response is deeply unprofessional and reflects poorly on the firm’s commitment to client service.
Moreover, the refusal to consider my case based on an apparent overbooking issue, without any attempt to understand the specifics of my situation, felt dismissive. It is troubling to think that a law firm would turn away clients so readily, especially in sensitive family law matters where legal representation can be crucial.
In addition, the lack of follow-up or alternative solutions provided by the receptionist was particularly disappointing. A professional law firm should have protocols for dealing with such inquiries, including offering referrals to other attorneys or providing preliminary advice on how to proceed in the absence of their services.
In summary, my experience with Ross family law was marred by an unprofessional and unhelpful attitude from their receptionist, coupled with a blanket refusal to assist with my case. This lack of willingness to engage with potential clients, combined with poor customer service, makes me highly skeptical of their commitment to client care. I would strongly recommend seeking legal representation elsewhere, as this firm’s apparent indifference suggests they may not provide the support needed for complex family law matters.

Grant Toeppen from Advance Planning prepared a trust for me and my wife. He was very professional and provided many key insights throughout the process. My wife previously worked as a paralegal at a different law firm and she was very pleased with Grant's knowledge on multiple subjects involved with our trust.
Grant was very responsive to all of our inquiries in a timely manner. He would typically respond the same day and definitely within 24 hours of receiving our question. He was always on time for our meetings and walked us through each page of the trust he prepared. He covered each section of the trust in detail and made notes of each request we made for changes. Grant prepared multiple iterations of the trust and walked us through each of the versions until we were satisfied with the exact wording.
Grant also transferred ownership on our property and updated the beneficiaries on our retirement accounts to our new trust.
