I gave Julia a 5 star review in 2012 after she stepped in and corrected the many errors in my parents’ estate plan that resulted from one of the “free lunch” seminars that are held in the desert.
She has continued to provide 5 star service every step of the way...from my mother’s death, property sales, a remarriage, and finally wrapping up my parents’ estate after my father’s death.
Julia’s extensive expertise in the law, taxes and real estate means you don’t need to involve multiple professionals—she can deal with just about any issue that comes up in a professional and timely manner.
My only regret is I no longer live in California, so I must find a new attorney. They will have big shoes to fill!

Julia assisted my sister and I with our fathers probate down in California. We had previously been working with another attorney that literally did nothing for us. He dragged his feet and never even so much as present simple paperwork to the courts after 6 months of employing him as our representation. We promptly parted ways with that attorney and were directed to Julia. I can tell you that the work she did for us was a breath of fresh air. She was extremely prompt in all of her responses and thorough in her communication. She went to bat for us in court to try to get things sped along as the previous attorney had left us in a tight bind and delayed the probate closing by 6 months. I'am not an attorney but I do have a great background in client services and I can speak for my sister and myself by saying that Julia was a delight to work with and left both of us with a sense of ease knowing that she was getting everything done for us. Grant has helped my family with our estate planning needs over the past several years. There are many things I like about working with Grant, but honesty is at the top of my list. Grant is always up front about costs of services, and what he can and can’t deliver. I never feel pressured when working with Grant. He takes the time to answer my questions – all of them. I’m one of those people who actually reads everything, so I can be very detail oriented in what I want. Grant carefully explains the “legalese” to me, as well as pros and cons of the choices I have at my disposal, making it easy to make estate decisions. Grant really knows his stuff.

I feel so fortunate that we found Claudia Barba! Years ago, my parents fell for a large company that solicited elders. It was not a good experience, and they never finished the trust. My husband found Claudia through her online reviews. He chatted with her first by phone and was very impressed. The experience we had with her was so different. I was glad we filled out all the financial information. It helped me find a benefit I wasn't aware of and made me get everything organized in one place.
Claudia took her time in interviewing my mom about her wishes. When it came time to sign the documents, she came to our house and sat outside with a mask on to make it easier for my mom. This was much appreciated.
Everything has gone smoothly so far. I am confident that if we need help, we will get a quick response. I highly recommend Claudia Barba!

The funny thing is that I found Joe through Avvo, so it's only fitting that I come full circle to write Joe a review here. I was hesitant when I first contacted Joe, but he made a very good impression on me from the very beginning. My initial thoughts were that he was very responsive and timely to my inquiries. He happened to be on vacation when I first contacted him, but he was very professional and still made time for a brief consultation. As I continued to work with Joe, I found him to be very friendly, straightforward and trustworthy. Integrity and timeliness are very important qualities for me when I work with any professional and you'll be surprised how many professionals don't have these qualities. Richard Barron was recommended to us by a friend and we could not have picked a better attorney. He helped with our daughter’s estate after she passed away suddenly. Very understanding and knowledgeable. What was a very difficult time for us he minimized it as much as possible. He communicated in a way that we would understand and was very attentive. What could have taken 2-3 years of court dates and such ended in about 1 ½ years. With all that said I would recommend him (and have) to others.

As a small business owner, I've put off needing an attorney for as long as possible. I was referred to Matt by another business owner and I couldn't be happier with the work he did for me. He made filing an LLC incredibly easy and even helped me figure out the best structure for my business based on my current and future needs. He also drew up a contractor agreement that addressed additional issues I hadn't even considered and added a significant amount of protection for me and my business.

When I was served with Divorce papers, I was in a state of shock and needed to find a Great Lawyer quickly. I was referred to several lawyers in my area from my Employers provided legal service. After speaking to several Attorneys, I called HMA Law Group and spoke to Attorney Harry Mirchandaney. I immediately felt reassured. Mr. Mirchandaney explained the process, and was straightforward with telling me what to expect. He listened to my concerns and was candid in telling me if what I was asking for was reasonable. My mom wanted a will and trust created for her but she didn't know where to get started as far as finding an attorney to do the work. I'm a do-it-yourself kind of son, but for this I knew that wouldn't be wise because I didn't have any experience in such matters and I've learned the hard way about the hazards when overlooking details. On top of all that, I don't live in Los Angeles, so I had to ask around among attorneys in my professional network in my locale for a reference. KC's firm was offered up as a good place to give a first try. Well, I didn't need to go any further! Wow, KC is a great attorney and what a great team. The legal processes and requirements were laid out in a very logical fashion with plenty of time for questions from day one. I was startled to learn how truly fine and caring this law firm is.
The law firm is extremely helpful. Any and all questions are answered promptly, honestly and earnestly. A high point is their taking the time to make sure one understands all aspects of any procedure. Neither “pushy” nor abrupt the firm always offers helpful suggestions.

Amber updated a trust for me by consolidating several complex trusts into one simple trust. After originating a new trust, we placed several pieces of property in it. It was a complicated procedure as we were selling one under the new trust and exchanging for other properties. This process was handled efficiently and everything went smoothly. Probably one of the best attorneys I have ever worked with. He really is a godsend.
Originally, I had an older lawyer, and he was not doing a good job at all. Three years in court with no results. I fired him and Hired Richard.
In less than a year Richard got the 4 unit apartment building transferred into my name that my mother had left me in her will. He really took it to the opposing council at trial. We are waiting for the Judge's decision now. I feel optimistic about the outcome. So glad he was recommended to me. He is worth every penny

I was referred to Richard by my mother’s previous attorney. When I called him, I needed a legal guardian for my elderly mother to make sure another family member was not pressuring her to do anything against her will. She needed objective legal advice and Richard provided her with that.
We came to Richard in a time of emotional upheaval within our family. He explained everything to my mother in calm manner and took care of all the tedious work we just couldn’t handle. Richard was able to work with my brother and I during a conservatorship proceeding regarding my mother. We were at conflict with her second husband. Richard was able to deal with my brother and I as we got emotional during the negotiations before we went to court. He helped us come to an agreement that was agreed to by both parties before the courts were involved. Richard also really seemed to be cognizant of the cost and in my opinion tried to keep it as low as he could for us. This was appreciated.

Yes, I can be a bit dramatic, but let me say it again, WoW! I liked his picture and "ready for a courtroom showdown" so gave him a cold call. He was the most gracious, well mannered attorney I've spoken to. I'm a Paralegal and have a pending probate case so that says a lot! Aside from his excellent manner and professionalism, the guy knows his stuff. I have been through five (thought it was only 3:) probate attorneys for the last 9 years and Mr. Hankin gave me information that was pivotal to the success of my case; information that I should have already been told. I know, where was he 9 years ago! Let me tell you, he would have been my attorney and this case would have come to a conclusion years ago. I recently posted a review of this attorney but my review may have been premature, as we were not yet finished completing our exchanges. Since my earlier review Mr. Hankin wrote to me again. He shed tremendous light on the one pressing question that baffled me, and he did so in a professional manner.
My initial aim was to utilize his services in the Appellate Courts, but it appears my case lacks the "teeth" for a successful appeal. If that were not my unfortunate predicament I'd most assuredly hire Mr. Hankin. Sometimes the devil is in the details. He's a details oriented attorney who takes the time to explain matters to his clients and prospective clients.
I can't speak to other areas of his law practice, but for anything pertaining to California Trusts or Probate matters he's the "go-to" attorney!

I was the Executor of a Will with a trust benefiting two beneficiaries, myself and an estranged family member. When this responsibility was thrust on me I was busy with my business, refused to contact the second beneficiary and mostly ignored Don's direction and advice. I want to recognize the excellent experience we had with Megan Moghtaderi and her team. We had a situation where we needed a loan to the family trust in order to avoid triggering higher property taxes under Proposition 19, and we needed assistance with finalizing the distribution of the trust assets. We had been working with a previous attorney who was unable to complete the job, and time was of the essence.
Megan and her team obtained and reviewed the files from the previous attorney, worked with the loan company on a rush basis to calculate the distribution schedule and loan amount, facilitated the property transfer, filed the documentation with the assessor, and provided the documentation needed for taxes and beneficiary distribution.
