After 39 years of marriage, having to go through a divorce was the last thing I ever thought I would have to do. Unfortunately, I did have to go through it and it would have been much harder for me to deal with if it were not for the efforts of Robert Miller, Owen Togna and the rest of the team at Smith Strong. They made this very difficult and complicated process much easier and offered me outstanding competent legal advice. Throughout my divorce, Robert had to deal with numerous difficult issues but he always did so in a professional manner, keeping my best interest in mind. I am very pleased with the fair and equitable outcome they were able to achieve in my divorce and I would highly recommend to anyone having to go through the painful process of a divorce.

Robert Miller made me comfortable with an uncomfortable situation by providing me with the details I needed, hearing and understanding my concerns, answering all of my questions, and breaking down the process into the steps I would experience so that I knew what to expect all along the way. His paralegal, Owen Togna, was efficient and responsive all throughout the process. Every interaction I had with Robert, Owen, and others within the firm were excellent, and everyone took the time to know me and assist me with my legal needs.

We are so happy we chose Van Smith for our estate planning. He and his team took the time to explain every aspect of what a secure plan would do for our future. We attended his initial workshop on planning and knew we could trust him to give us the correct guidance to complete the planning. We have also returned to Van to make adjustments to our initial plans. We highly recommend the Smith Strong group!

After having an attorney who said she would fight for me, having her forget court dates and she said she wasn’t equipped to handle the case, Mr. Van smith said he would give me my money back. She literally told the judge she didn’t feel like she could adequately represent me. They never did reimburse me and I’m still getting bills. Kristen Alexander is terrible and not on top of it. Mr. Van Smith is a con.

Great law office with a very friendly and helpful team. Being from The Netherlands having had an aunt living in the States, they have done a great job for both of us as well when I was in Richmond as while being back in The Netherlands. If I ever need a law office in Richmond again, I know where to turn to. Thank you guys!
