I was recently cited for a moving violation. Being a retired police officer, I knew I had not committed the violation I was cited for, and I also knew that the side of the road was not the place to plead my innocence. I resigned myself to go to court and see if I could have the matter reduced to a non-moving violation. I am currently on chemo and had neither the time nor will, to fight it. I was referred to Ms. Badeaux and through her efforts the citation was dismissed! I highly recommend her and her firm!

I was facing charges for my second DUI in four years. Todd gave me great advice along the way and explained things in an understandable way. He had my file heard before a judge at a settlement conference to increase the odds of a favorable outcome- and it worked. All parties had reached an agreement and I left the hearing very relieved. Todd could've dragged out the process and charged me more, but he got things done very quickly. He didn't charge me a dollar more than other attorneys would have, and he has more experience than the other attorneys I was considering. Five out of five.

I reached out to Kelly regarding my wrongful conviction for domestic violence which was preventing me from owning/possessing a fire. If it wasn’t for my love of hunting specifically with my dad I probably would’ve gone on with my life but instead I explained my situation to Kelly, she sounded positive about restoring my rights. My journey was a very long one to say the least. However, working with Rakesh allowed me time to see the light at the end of my darkest tunnel. I’ll plea the 5th with the details but imagine doing a 5k run towards the trooper fund and loosing over 14lbs of weight in the process. It was the most expensive workout plan ever lol (I can find the humor at my own expense now that it’s over). The odds were not in my favor at the start line but with Rakesh’s support I was able to finish the race breathing freely. He advised me in the right direction, remained blunt with the facts, and reassured me to the end. To my disbelief he was able to work out every one of my “multiple misunderstandings” and if it wasn’t for his credible knowledge of the law and court processes, this may not have been otherwise possible. I had my initial consultation over the phone and followed up with a visit to his office. Michael reviewed all my documents I had in support of my request and thoroughly explained the process to me.
Through out the time I retained him till the sealing of my record, Michael and I communicated via email and phone calls.

Derek was recommended to me after I received my first ever DWI charge. I was very nervous about the journey ahead and all that it would entail. Derek was there every step of the way. I was going slightly over 80mph near the I-87 / I-90 interchange near Albany. I hired Mr. Kehoe based on a positive consultation. He offered to comp his fee if it went to trial. I ended up getting the ticket plead down to a parking ticket - non moving violation. I learned about fine around a week after my trial date. I am happy with the result.

We have used Randall on a few occasions over the course of 5 years for speeding tickets for teenage drivers. Randall allows us to handle over the phone or via email, allowing us to have a "paper trail" of all of our conversations. Randall has handled multiple incidents and we've also referred him to others that have used him as well. His handling fee is due up front and is very reasonable. He sends us copies of all communications he sends out, and then gets back to us with the plea deals and handles them in court without us ever having to even step foot in a court room. Randall is a name we remember by heart when referring him and while we hope to never need him again, should we need a traffic lawyer, Randall is our guy!

Matthew Simone was a life saver for me! He got my DWI and refusal to submit a breathalyzer down to an open container where I only paid a fine, completed an alcohol evaluation, and a short course for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). My arrest record, finger prints and mug shot were sealed and my license was not suspended for a year for refusing the breathalyzer. I also can travel freely back and forth to Canada where my girlfriend lives because of Matt. I was stopped at a checkpoint, only conducted one field sobriety test, did not conduct a breathalyzer test, and was respectful and cooperative with the police. If you were swerving in and out of lanes, stumble out of your car, blow over a .08, and are rude to the police there is only so much that can be done. However, Matt will still fight for you to get you what you want. Remember to set proper expectations and know that a majority of how your case is going to play out depends on your behavior that night. Matt’s communication was also great! If I had any questions or concerns about the legal process he would answer them swiftly and take the time to ensure I understood what was happening. His legal assistant Joselyn was also spectacular! She would get back to me in a timely manner as well and always sent me what I needed, even if I asked twice and forgot that I already had what I needed. 10/10 would recommend! Hopefully we won’t cross paths again, but if we do it feels good knowing Matt is on your legal team!

Adam Militello was instrumental in getting my DWI reduced to a DWAI. Thanks to Adam, I have no criminal record. (DWAI is a traffic violation in NY state.) I have been able to move past this experience - and now have a new job in a highly regulated industry. Background check for the new job came back completely clear. I met Benjamin back when I was an adolescent aspiring to be an attorney and he was my younger brother’s basketball coach. Ben’s family and mines would travel along side each other as our boys played travel basketball. We all bonded over meals and shared hotels. I suffered domestic violence, I had to leave the house with my son with only the clothes on my back and our lives saved and go to a Safety & Change shelter, I have documented and video evidence of all the violence suffered by me and my son, I have video of my husband's betrayal with another woman. I sought help from the Legal Aid Society because I am undergoing pre-cancer treatment. The Legal Aid Society said they could help me and they did. I was referred to the law firm de Moya & Assoc PC I arrived at the office scared of everything because domestic violence is very difficult, we suffer a lot, we lose our dignity, faith and many other things and we also run out of money. What I heard from de Moya & Assoc PC was; I have to accept my husband's lawyer's conditions because the duration of the marriage was short, 2 years in January 2024. How many years would I have to suffer this violence to be entitled to my personal belongings under US law? I am writing this rant to share with others who experience domestic violence in my case at de Moya & Assoc PC it made it clear that I am not entitled to anything because the domestic violence I suffered was for a short period, HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO SUFFER DOMESTIC VIOLENCE TO HAVE ANY RIGHTS? so I don't even have the right to my personal goals, I took what was placed outside the house, just a few things, de Moya & Assoc PC said that I have to accept the lawyer's conditions My husband, if I don't do everything, I will have a big problem with the Judge and I will have to pay my husband's lawyer a small fortune.

So I had an incident where a situation went to 11 and I pulled a firearm. The local police were trying to throw the book at me ( 2 felony aggravated assault charges and 4 misdemeanor charges) Collectively I was looking at a possible 36 years in prison ( being 41 this would make me 76 when released) upon the advice of the bail bondsman that night I contacted Steve the next day. Steve consulted with me fairly quickly and i immediately hired him knowing I needed all the help I could get. The delay request he filed did make me nervous as it pushed the case 2 months later but it seemed to help. Steve was able to negotiate this down at the preliminary hearing and got the cops to drop the 2 felonies right away. ( despite his best effort they weren’t going to bargain on the 4 misdemeanor charges) Still he got a favorable outcome when the police accepted my ARD request and only gave it 24 months with a fairly minimal fine and no jail time ( everything was negotiable except going to jail). So he got me 24 months probation which was a bit extreme even he thought but he did his job and kept me on the street then he even offered to help me with the expungement process after I finish the probation. Can’t say enough good things about the man cause he genuinely helped me at the worst moment of my life. Sure he’s busy and it might take some efforts to get through to him or his office but believe me they’ll respond and will do whatever they have to to get you through it. The day of my preliminary hearing he was really busy but made every effort to keep me informed and aware of what he was trying to do. Criminal charges are deep deep #2 and you need all the help you can get. Steve helped me and a lot of others here. If you need him he’ll believe you cause he’s probably run into this situation before. It probably didn’t hurt that at 41 and having never been in trouble before I was the ideal client, but still get ahold of Steve cause he’s going to care about you and will keep you where you belong, not in jail

In 2010 I found myself being charged with 6 felonies. I had never even had a speeding ticket and didn’t know the difference between a felony and a misdemeanor. I literally chose Attorney Smith at random out of the phone book. He not only met me for case discussion but also made sure to keep every meeting and/or scheduled meeting with the police, as well as attended every court hearing. In the end, my original charges (6 felonies) were all reduced to 1 Disorderly Conduct, a 4th degree misdemeanor. To say he is anything but a Godsend would be an insult.
