Kirstyn and Catherine were great advocates when my Ex was infringing on my parental rights with visitation. So often, and particularly in WA State, fathers are at a disadvantage when trying to enforce parenting plans and court orders. Kirstyn was able to provide balanced advice telling me what is and is not possible based on our prior Court Orders, and we determined that my Ex was in fact in contempt. We then created a case and roadmap setting expectations of possible outcomes, and Catherine represented me in court. Even though the judge was blatently against us in court based on his opinion of our verbal argument (his own bias), the written contempt was ironclad and indisputable and as a result we won, creating better and healthier boundries with my Ex. I was even awarded some of the money from the judge based on the degree of contempt and Catherine's ability to outline the ramifications.

Mr. Totten was suggested by another attorney, he took my case in a rush, with only two weeks to prepare. He asked me what I wanted. and let me know upfront what he believed I could get, he was very attentive to the case. Every time I called, I got to speak with him or someone knowledgeable of the case.( if you have questions, he can answer them ) in the quart room. Mr. Kassman is a great attorney backed by an incredible staff who work really hard. We had a horrible tenant that had to be evicted in Suffolk County and Mr. Kassman laid out a plan and executed on it flawlessly. He took dozens of phone calls, and so did his staff from us and reassured us throughout the entire process. We are really grateful. The best experience during a worst case scenario. My son was facing false allegations of a Title IX violation. We researched and consulted several leading legal advisors throughout the country. Several took the approach of "fear factoring" us into needing their legal services but didn't necessarily express a true regard for my son's state of mind. After initially speaking with Atty. Joseph Lento, and immediately being treated with the utmost sincerity and having been acknowledged for our feelings with the matter, we felt we would be moving forward with obtaining their counsel. They even granted a follow-up call waiving an additional consultation fee to allow us the opportunity to address a few points with no pressure to choose their firm. I was in a very difficult situation where I purchased a house during the pandemic that was tenant occupied. The tenants barred me from conducting a professional inspection prior to purchase due to Covid concerns as one tenant was elderly. Against my better judgment, I purchased the house without a professional inspection and had to wait over a year after purchasing for the tenants to “feel comfortable enough” to allow an inspection. Had my insurance company not requested it, I don’t think they would have allowed it at all. Upon inspection, we discovered very extensive damage caused by negligence on the tenants part. Half of the kitchen was required to be demolished all the way down to the crawl space. After completing the work, I hired an attorney to represent me in an eviction on the basis of waste caused to the property. This attorney mishandled my case in every way imaginable. From being impossible to get ahold of, missing court deadlines, misplacing evidence, rejections of filings due to simple clerical errors, filing paperwork under my name for other cases, etc. I became so overwhelmed and ill with stress that I searched for a new attorney to substitute. I consulted with about 15 lawyers total and Tiffany Travillion was by far the best. She took on my case even though it was going to be difficult based on the errors and negligence in filings from my previous counsel. Not only was she thorough and promptly up to speed on everything, she was incredibly easy to get ahold of and really went the extra mile when she took the time to assure me, an anxious emotional mess, that she would not mishandle my case like my previous attorney. I finally had peace of mind and that meant the world. She kept me informed in real time on the status of my case and filings. She was easy to talk to and I finally felt like someone had my back. Her staff are very friendly, helpful, and efficient. We worked on this case for nearly a year and in the end, she won my case and got my house back. A very good friend of mine had highly recommended Angela Duhon. As it turned out her case load was full and could not take my case.
I ended up being blessed with Kylie Huffman-shayeb. She is caring on top of the case and usually response to an email within the hour. She’s even responded on holidays or weekends when she really doesn’t have to.
The father’s attorney never showed up for court would always extend things and never had any of the paper work he needed in on time. It also seemed like his lawyer was using another vacation as an excuse to delay things. This attorney had a two star rating on google which answered a lot of my questions.
I looked at Kylie’s reviews and of Course they where perfect
I was very pleased with her. My first court case, my son was placed back into my custody after losing him to DCS. The father even abandoned his apartment and moved out of state so I couldn’t track him down . She was able to figure this all out for me. I didn’t really have anyone to help me. I had done all that I could, and I felt lost. She took care of everything. I definitely felt comfortable asking her anything she was always so kind and had a great point of view.
She really knows the ropes and most of my attorney fees were owed back to me.

I used Kylie Huffman-Shayeb for my divorce case involving three minor children. She is considerate and pays very close attention to detail. Her communication to the court on my behalf was very precise, detailed and accurate. She knew exactly what my needs and concerns were, and she expressed them to the court in the best manner possible. In the end, my case never went to trial because we settled it through mediation. Kylie helped me mediate with my ex-wife's side. I do sometimes regret making the decision to try and solve things amicably (it was never amicable with my ex-wife) so we can all move on with our lives, but I'm sure if I did decide to go to trial, Kylie would have represented me well.

My divorce was not an easy one by any means. The other party did not want to be a participate in the process that she initiated, be fair financially, and was in character throughout the two and half yr process. Veronica weeded through this from minute one.
Veronica jumped on board in my case more than halfway through the process from the recommendation of my previous attorney to get my case resolved. There is a reason he recommended her. Veronica was forceful and stern during the negotiations(mediation) with the other party and was always looking out for my best interests financially which included doing everything possible from the first day I spoke to her to avoid trial which is where my case was headed. The reason for the referral from my previous attorney.
During one of most difficult times of your life, Veronica attempted to understand everything on a personal/emotional level as well beyond the business aspect of divorce.
Veronica is extremely knowledgeable of the NJ laws of divorce which is so important. She is professional, cordial, assertive, and great at explaining things/answering questions. Veronica also will hold you accountable if she needs to which is important in this process.
